Dear Joe and fans,

Interviewing Joe has been a longtime quest for me. It started back in college, when I hosted an instrumental guitar radio show. After interviewing the underrated genious, Ron Thal, I set my sites on interviewing Joe. I tried all the traditional routes, but to no avail. So I tried getting Joe to answer a some questions on the "Talk to Joe" section of this site. Again, no luck. I also called "Rockline" a number of times, but never got to ask a quesion. I also have submitted many, many questions during every chat event. I'm not bitter - I fully realize what an honor it is to even have Joe acknowledge you in any way, and don't believe that it's my God-given right as a fan.

Anyway, now I've been reduced to daydreaming about what it would be like to actually get to ask Joe a question - honestly - I've done this a number of times :-)

So I guess I'm going for the sympathy vote. However, I do promise you that if I am the "chosen one", I will read and re-read every Satriani article I can get my hands on, re-listen to all of Joe's albums, read up on interviewing tips, and otherwise do whatever is necessary to conduct the best interview I can possibly do.

Thank you for your consideration.

Question 1:

In interviews past, you've mentioned working on or considering projects such as surf music and working with a full orchestra. Are any projects like this in the works?
Question 2:

Your cameo on Latin pop singer Alejandra Guzman's album "Soy" is an interesting match up. Can you tell us how you came to work with her?
Question 3:

Many of your song titles seem like they could be sung to the chorus of the song ("Just Look Up", "What Breaks a Heart" being recent examples). Is this intentional? Do you sometimes imagine words being sung to your melodies? If so, can you share some of the rest of the "lyrics" to one of your instrumental songs?
Question 4:

What was your most memorable encounter with a fan?
Question 5:

Did you ever get to find the "FM Distortion" pedal you mentioned in a Rockline interview a while back? Is there any other rare gear you haven't been able to find?
