I was waiting for this moment for 6 years.... from the very first day I heard Satch play the first note from his "Crystal Planet" album.
It was a very special night.. Not only for the Turkish audience but for Joe of course,for being able to play in Turkey for the first time, in front of a wild crowd:) and most of all for me!! I was 3 meters away from the stage and nearly most of the time Joe was soloing right in front of me!! The song lineup was awesome!! He played loads of old songs, mainly from "Surfing With The Alien", a few new ones like "Crowd Chant" and "Redshift Riders"(my personal favourite;)) and another one of my favourite songs "Summer Song"!!!one of his classics... I wished he had played "The Forgotten Part 2"!!! That would have driven us to tears...
Although the quality of the sound system at Istanbul Arena was not so good, Joe made this show one of the best I've ever seen. His and his bands performance was top notch as usual!! The general atmosphere was better than the shows I watched on DVD. His performance and most of all, the breathtaking audience nearly made me cry... The waving lighters in the darkness and thousands of people singing the main melodies during "Always With Me Always With You", the groundbreaking action during "Crowd Chant", "Summer Song" and "Up In Flames", the reflection of the spot lights shining in all directions from Satch's Chrome Boy guitar... unforgettable memories.... I couldn't catch any of his picks:p but at least I jumped 4 times...
We also celebrated his birthday and he cut this huge cake:) he said he loved us, the Turkish audience, the city, and also mentioned that he will see us next year!!
Joe is and will always be my favourite musician!!! And I hope to see him again next year!!!
JOE ROCKS THE EARTH!!! Keep on surfing!!

Oh my God..! My first Satch show was awesome, Joe and the band rocked Istanbul! The good thing is that Joe was very happy about the attendance and the atmosphere of the crowd (Dave was pissed off at times during the show due to the sound system) and they all kept smiling all the time while playing. The show lasted about 2 hours and the set list will be revealed here very soon (we are working on the recording=) My birthday message on a big sheet was like a bomb and the whole press kept shooting us with the message, once again, Happy Birthday Satch =) Since we were in the front row it was also seen by Joe during his birthday cake ceremony on the stage right after bis and they ended this fabulous show with Crowd Chant and The Summer Song. Thanks to Satch and the band for this beautiful night to be remembered lifetime (I also got a pick from him as well other than the signatures and a mini conversation the other day). As you mentioned at the end of the show, see you next year guyz B-) JS 4eveeer =)

Being with you is unforgettable. thank you for your time back in Conrad. you know what you are to me. i'll be with you soon. thanks for giving me air for breathing in this cruel world. The Show was a "Satriani concert" and nothing more or nothing less. So if there is nothing better then the music of satriani, there aint no better concerts. the show in Istanbul, was the night two became one for me.
A night of a blue dream. everybody should thank him for his performance on stage.
Best music, best show, best everything.

Vaoov what a night it was. Joe was in a very good mood.He was perfect.At the end of the concert we celebrated his birthday with a cake which had guitar picture on it.I hope he will come back Turkey on the near future.Thanks Joe for a wanderful night.

It was totally unbelievable show.. Sound was not bad but not perfect too, but Satriani turned this into an amazing guitar show... We were so happy.. and guess what happened after the day of the concert. I met Satriani at the airport by chance. He was standing in front of me while i was walking:)) I was totally excited , could not find words to talk. It was a very great moment to meet him and talk a while when he was waiting for the flight. I also met his son Zachary. Those were awesome minutes. ... I can say now that he is surely one of the best gutarist and the showman after i have seen Mr. Vai, and Mr. Malmsteen..

That might have been the best live performance I can ever witness!!! He rocked whole Istanbul up and to thank him we (the whole audience) celebrated his birthday on stage :D I can think of just one sentence to summarize the gig: Nobody rocks like Joe does!

devastating,phenomenal concert!...these 2 lasta days were definitely the best days of my life,first meeting with satch shaking his hand thanking him for being such a huge inspiration in my life and then watching him play so close.We have seen vai,we have seen malmsteen but something was for sure that it was never complete since yesterday.He is really a great and a humble man.The sound system was bad but that is the faith of any other concert in istanbul.But nothing really mattered,i couldn't take my eyes from him and came to a point of cryin when he started playing always.The setlist is something like that below. (not in order) 1.WAR 2.The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing 3. circles 4.super colossal 5.flying in a blue dream 6.surfing with the alien(HE PLAYED IT 2 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!FOR THE CELEBRATION OF 20TH YEAR) 7.ICE NO9 8.cool no 9 10.up in flames 11.just like lightning 12.always with me always with you 13.the extremist(a little rasberry jam delta with it :))))) 14.its so good 15.satch boogie 16.crowd chant 17. summer song now I can die peacefully :)

It was the best musical action of my life. Nothing to talk about it because all was just ok.
Istanbul wants to see that as soon as possible again. Thanks everybody who made that happen and thanks to Joe for his success on being great always :)
