the show was beyond my expectations...it was THE loudest shows i had ever been to...Paul Gilbert was incredible and Petrucci is a godlike player..but Petrucci doesn't have the greatest stage presence...i would look at him and just see his figures go crazy as he just stands there...i dont know mabye he is super concentrated but i wished that he would move around and feel the music like Joe and Paul...besides that his music is truly amazing and inspiring.....Mike Portnoy on the other hand had so much personality that he could be a front man...and then Satriani....when he walked up on stage i got this huge shiver down my spine...his playing was amazing and he also put on a performance...he is still my lead influence in my guitar playing...i own every single one of his albums and can never get tired of them...Satriani is the best... i also got to go backstage and meet Mr. Satriani and the band...Satriani is such a humble guy...he actually had a conversation with me...it still is one the most memorable moments in my life...this show had an monstrous impact on me and my standard for Rock and Roll shows

Overall it was a very good show. Joe was fantastic as always. Paul Gilbert is a great new addition, and Bruce Bouillet is good enough to be one of the headliners, not just a second guitar. Their collaboration on a couple of old Racer X tunes really stole the show. Watching two guys play harmony lines in perfect sync with each other, at that incredible speed, is just mind-blowing.

The only thing that kept this from being a really outstanding show was a problem with John Petrucci's tone. He had so much reverb and delay on that it overwhelmed the individual notes. This was a major disappointment - John is such a superb technical player, with such flawless technique, and it was a real letdown not to be able to hear the nuances of his playing. Fast passages were lost under a thick layer of digital goo. John, your technique and guitar tone are as good as it gets. Turn down the mix control so we can hear you!

Other items...the mix was generally good, very much on the loud side (that's a good thing.) The Paramount is a great place to see a concert, not a bad seat in the house. Joe, John, Paul, and company - thank you for a great show and for all that you do. Please keep it up!!!

What a tremendous pleasure! I had the opportunity to shake hands with Joe, Paul, and John before the show. They were very personable and more than happy to sign a few items. Besides a wonderful show, and performances that will stay with me forever, I am most thankful for the accessibility they permit the fans. They never come across as unapproachable, and that truly makes the fans feel valued.

Thank you gentlemen for a wonderful night!

This was one great show. Everyone played so well! Having just seen Dave LaRue do his back-to-back gig in January, and then this, I worry that his fingers might just fall off. I don't think I can recall ever seeing Joe enjoy himself so much, especially during the jam. It was impressive the way that he brought out the other players for it, and then built it to a fever pitch. Paul was superb during the Hendrix tunes, and those who agree should seek out his 1991 Tribute To Jimi Hendrix cd. I can't help but wonder: who influenced Joe to play with his teeth, Yngwie or Paul? Eh, maybe he just got an okay from his dentist.
