Wow! My tenth Satch gig since 1990 on the 'Flying' tour. I went to the Manchester Apollo show two days earlier too.Although the security people were much cooler at Manchester, sound was definitely better on this one! Clearer and cleaner mix. At the Apollo show it was a bit muddy and deafeningly loud at the end..but needless to say, Joe, you blew me away yet again! I agree with all the comments about security; I was waiting up the front just before the show started and was sent back to my seat. It was driving me mad just sitting there, then when the rush for the stage started, I was off like a rocket! Every time I see Joe he just blows me away! High point was 'Love Thing'- Joe wrenching emotion from his guitar, and shaping the notes like liquid in his masterful hands! Thing I like is, he can dig in and play it mean and nasty but is just as adept at playing 'the sweet songs' (as he puts it)! I'm an atheist, but this man is definitely God! Went with as couple of friends who were blown away too. Seeing Eric playing all those gorgeous lefty Ibanezes made me green with envy too, as my lefty RG550 is battered to say the least! No prizes for guessing why I bought an Ibanez! I could go on and on, but will just say that 'Clouds race across the sky' is brilliant live too, and I wish I could go to more shows, but it's back to the wife and kids, work etc etc! One more thing, though-seeing Joe has given me the inspiration dust down my Ibanez again, and one of the guys who came with me has made a pledge to form a band with me. Gonna do it! Joe rules!

It was my second Satch gig - the first was the tail-end of the Joe Satriani / Time Machine tour, and I think I'd forgotten just how amazing this man is. It was so cool to share this night with 3 friends, 2 of whom weren't too familiar with Satch, and even more amazing was the fact that I was right up there at the front, being pushed onto Eric's monitor all night - brilliant!! It's hard to pick out one defining moment, there were so many - the feedback at the end of "Flying..." which Joe played right in front of me, the pogo-ing to "Surfing...", Stu's unbelieveable solo - again I'd forgotten how good that is!! (And I've just discovered it on his vinyl solo album - you know, the hillbilly and the moonlight sonata).... I came away with one of Joe's picks which is now attatched to the headstock of my guitar (Ibanez of course) alongside the Time Machine one, and a friend got a set of Stu's strings. Thanks for THE best night of my life, Joe, it left me buzzing for weeks after, and there were at least 4 extremely happy men travelling home that night! (Fred, I wish you were there, man!)

See you at the front again when G3 comes to Europe!!!!

The best gig ever:-) Why? 1)Joe and the band played like they always do,with all their effort and it shows they really enjoyed it.2)I'm biased anyway:-) 3)When i was at work my wife phoned me to let me know that we won a prize to met Joe and the band after the show wow!!! :-0.4) My daughter came aswell as my inlaws too.We all had a great time and it was good of Joe,Stu,Jeff and Eric to give of their time to see us after the show.I would just like to say that i wish Joe would release a true live concert video of some kind, not just bits but a good 2hrs or so.What do you think? Another reason i really enjoyed this gig it was more for Joe, not to big of a venue unlike the NEC arena. Please don't play at the NEC arena again Joe :-).

This gig left me on a high for well over a week. I was the first to go and stand in front of Joe. I've been to a few G3 concerts before but have never got so close to my hero before. I could see his fingers, except they moved to smoothly and fast that they were a blur! Stu was great too as always. I came away with two picks. They are now prized possessions - I still can't believe that Joe Satch actually played with them, but the evidence is there - loads of scratches, and of couse I have my fantastic memories of a fantastic gig. Thanks Joe, you were great.

it was my first joe satriani gig i went to and it was the best gig i`ve ever been to the highlight of the night for me was joe pointing me out after he had come back from his fifteen minute break and also joe playing guitar right in front of me stage side left i was looking up at him and he was looking down at me and we were both mimicking the guitar sounds oh by the i was dressed like joe even had the bald head and the exact glasses to match. i wish joe could read this so i could see if he remembers me.

This was my first Satch gig ,Having seen Steve Via in march I did'nt think it could get any better "Boy was I in for a suprise" Joe just about knocked him into a cocked hat."Does anybody know where he goes to when he's playing!". Truly outstanding my favorite tracks until we say goodbye-friends,And I could not believe how good rasberry jam delta v sounded live. Hope to see you soon Joe?.

Well done Joe you are fantastic, My favorate track had to be Love thing. It touches me everytime and reminds me of someone who is very special. I always dreamed that I would be with her while you played that song to me. Sadly she is not with me at the time. It brought a long bitter tear to my eye. It always reminds me of her! My favorite numbers had to be.... Crush of love,Summer song,Satch boogie,Time,Surfin with the alien,Always with me,Crystal plannet and Devils slide. But no song will ever beat love thing! I play guitar and I TRY to play like you but I'm failing. I'm not going to stop, You have inspired me and pushed me forward as a guitarist....THANK YOU I have every album and Video, keep them coming because theres always room in my CD collection for more Satriani. If you ever need a guitarist in your G3 tour give me a shout and I'll be there! Keep up the good work. Richard ,S.Wales

Once again Joe a storming performance from you and the guys. Still haven't managed to catch a plectrum but still not giving in - maybe next time. This is my sixth Satch gig and they just keep getting better and yes, i'm afraid i was at the front of the stage in the centre to witness an absolute genious at work. Keep it up and look forward to seeing you on your next visit to the UK.

This one was the best yet, Joe is a magician on the guitar and I wish I could play like him. There was only one problem as I am only small and everybody was standing up I couldn't see a thing!!!! Anyway at least I was there and I could hear him!

This was not only my first Joe concert, but also my first concert/gig ever, and I was not disappointed! He was absolutely superb - it's just a shame about the security, or I would have been at the front of the stage as well! Everyone where I was sitting was practically dead, and there I was nearly jumping out of my seat......words cannot describe it. Here's til next time!

ps I stupidly forgot to take my camera so will someone pleease upload some photos, and if anyone has a recording, or knows of one...email me! (boysie77@hotmail.com)

10 out of 10 for this one. My cousin Tim and myself, both on our fourth Satch gig, think this was by far the best Joe has been. He was relaxed and clearly enjoying himself, plenty of added improvisational stuff, intro's as well as outro's, Stu Hamm amazing as always. Best moments??? my personal favourite was DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, but hey, the whole gig was like a greatest hits live show, we hardly had TIME to soak up the last song when another gem rocked us off our feet. Good to know that Joe still prefers guitar to keyboards. I hear there's a rumour about G3 later in the year, whats that all about, someone e-mail me to let me know, a second Satch gig in the year would be soooo fine. On a perconal note I'd like to say Hi to the beautiful girl (D12) who stood next to me in the first half, a Babe who likes Satch !! Don't tell my wife!!! Hope all you satch fans out there live long happy lives, may Joe continue til he's 150 years old. Take it easy.

As ever, fantastic. Not a note wrong, but what did you expect? I managed to bring some people along that wouldn't normally go to a virtuoso guitarist's concert; boy were they impressed! The whole thing, the sound, the lights, the band, the crowd - everything was perfect. Like a box set, if you will.

Thank you.

Hello Chris Garfield in England here. The gig was fantastic Joe was on great form as were the rest of the band.Over two and a half hours of classic Satch material.Arrangements of the new album for stage were great, turning the techno style feel of the new album songs into the live drum and bass one would expect from such a talented rhytm section that we have in Stu and Jeff. The lighting rig was spectacular, but the sound was at times very poor, problems on the night perhaps? But make no mistake Joe has entered the New millenium with a force so strong that we will be hearing his wonderous guitar for many years to come. All of you out there waiting for your concert night have no fear your are in for a magical night.Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe just gets better and better..........thought that this was the best so far and was my seventh. The band was great and the venue was brilliant too.It was Good to hear the material from EOC played live but also thought that the set list overall was excellent. Looking foward to the next time - maybe G3 with Vai and Kenny Wayne Shepherd ?.....

Joe was brilliant on monday. He played every song perfect and also played all my favorites eg.Borg Sex, Surfing with the Alien, Love Thing, Always with me always with you and the rest. Love Thing nearly bought a tear to my eye, it was a brilliantly played song. Joe`s EOC was sounding amazing. I also thought that Stu played great, especially when he played his Bass like a guitar. Eric was cool playing his Keyboards and guitar he really helped Joe with the rythm. Jeff really pumped the place up, even my friend got one of his Drum sticks, it was a shame i didn`t get one of Joe`s pics, but seeing Joe for the first time was the best. I can`t wait to see him again. I`m now playing my JS100 more than ever.

Supreme musicianship! What a great show Joe! As always, it was over too soon. Thanks to you, Stu, Eric and Jeff and all your crew who put on your best show yet (IMHO). Joe's playing was just spot on and the addition of Eric to the band added an extra dimension to the sound. The EOC stuff worked really well and Joe's older tunes sounded so much better with Eric to fill out the rhythm. Thanks also to the guy who handed out some of Joe's picks after the show! Great memento for a fantastic evening. Joe, all the best with the London shows and the rest of the tour. Can't wait to see you next time you are in the UK.

Oh My God! This was my first Satch gig for a major Fan and From those first Few notes of Time when the man stepped onto the stage amongst all that pyro I knew it would be the first of many. Then he reeled off a huge list including Crushing Day, Love Thing, Borg Sex, Always and would up with Friends and the classic Surfing with the Alien. This man is a living genius and if anyone ever egts the chance to see him live then go! The records seem pale in comparison and my ears are still ringin' but i loved it!

I was not allowed to put 11 in the Rank Box ! Joe... You did it again..only even better than the last time at the NEC. There ain`t a word in the English language to describe how good you and the lads played last night._______________. That is the space were the word would be if it existed. I hope you do make the Blues album you talked about in the interview. And I hope to see you with G3 later in the year. SATCH ROCKED BRUM.

Hey what a kicking performance, was Joe on form or wot? Best venue of the 4 times I've seen Joe in Birmingham much good better than NEC Arena. Sedate start but once the rush for the stage started the gig really got rocking. Great set list plenty of old favourites, loved the new "Borg Sex" and the ever brilliant "Always with Me, Always with You"

The only question left to ask is which Glam Rock band did Stu Hamm steal his Glitter! covered bass from?

Hope to see you all at the next Gig.

I'm gonna take some sh*t for this! Joe and the guys - 10 Venue - 4 Crowd - 5 Security - (10) Seen Joe about 6 or 7 times now and he never ceases to amaze - whay a guy, what a band! But the NIA is a big impersonal place - shame i can't do Sheperds Bush, fantastic place. The crowd were generally quiet/subdued - overawed perhaps. Few people appeared to be familiar with EOC songs (great to hear them played to the most part 'conventionally'- they really rocked too). The security were a pain in the ass. They did a good job of hassling some people and then leaving others alone. One bitch (can i say that?) was having a right old go almost all night - Stu's side, she wouldn't leave it alone. i was about 30 ft from the pa and it sounded a bit loud / distorted (maybe my old ears playing me up!)- but stuff a digit in it and you could really hear the superb stuff going on. Joe & band, one cool bunch of guys, thanks! See ya'll in Copenhagen.

Hello again, once more Joe has the place rocking security is a bit strict thay move us all. however by the second song im virtualy on the stage holding Joes mike stand the crowd flood in this gives joe a boost, as if he needs it. once again Joe is on top form the sound the lighting perfect Joes mouth organ was a bit low on the Exremist but but he's allowed one mistake, he has the crowd begging for more, and once again Joe delivers the goods he is a perfectonist the master of the art, what more can i say. we want more and more. Thanks Joe for a graet night yet again. (still no bonus cd)if anyone as got one get in touch thanks. Hi to Jeff,Stu,Eric, great guys.
