This was my 4th Satch show.I saw him on the Crystal Planet tour, an evening with in 2000, and on the G3 2001 tour. There is some thing out of this world about the evening with shows. This being the second I've been to it was every bit as impressive as the first. This show however was even more amazing because of all the extended improvs he did on virtually every song.I can not put into words just how amazing a guitar player he really is.I am always amazed by his skill each and every time I see him play.My only complaint which really isn't a complaint is that he can't play every song I want to hear in three hours.Basically I want to see him play every thing he has ever released and then some.I realize the impossibility of this so given the time frame I have to say that Joe did and always does use it well.I was glad to see him play some stuff he rarely if ever plays live.I already know I'm going to get the classic Joe songs that are the backbone of every setlist, but seeing the rare songs was a really nice treat.

I was completely blown away by this show.Having seen him in the past I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, but it just seemed to me that on this night he came out with guns blazing like he was on a mission to let every one in attendance know that he is the baddest around. This show was Joe making a powerful statement that not only is he the best there is and the best there was, but he is the best there ever will be.I've heard that Joe was tired after the show and understandably so.Anyone that plays like that for 3 hours should be tired at the end to say the very least. It's one thing to play for that long, but to do what he did for that long is some thing else.I've been to a lot of concerts for a lot of different bands and I would have to say that this show was at the very minimum in the top 5 of all shows I have been to.As a matter of fact I think Joe has about 2 or three shows in my top 5.Beyond all shadow of a doubt he is one of the best performers I've ever seen in virtually any genre.

I was fortunate to walk away with one of his guitar picks and a flyer I had taken down advertising the show.I didn't win the aftershow passes, but I did get to meet him at the bus and got his autograph on the flyer I had.As tired as he was, he was still one of the nicest people you will ever meet in the music industry. He took time to sign autographs for every one and talk to them. Not very many musicians would have done this at all had they been exhausted after a show, but Joe is never one to disappoint in any way. This was the second time I got to meet him after a show and he was just as nice as he was the first time.I can't say it enough. Not only is he a great musician but he is a great person too.I will always be at any and all of his shows that I can possibly make it to.With out a doubt I am a Satch fan for life and always have been since the first time I ever heard him play.Seeing him live only solidifies why I listen to his music as much as I do.

What an incredible show. I have never been to see Joe live before, and what a first experiance! Not only did i win the aftershow passes, but i caught a pick he tossed out to the crowd as well. We got there 3 hours early and I would say that it was well worth the wait, we were so close to the monitor that it took 10 minutes after the show for my hearing to come back. The only thing that kept this show from being a 10 was the damn drunk lady standing next to me. I dont know how she made her way to the front, but she didnt belong at that concert, she needed to go to a lynard skynard concert or something with the rest of the drunk rednecks. At one point she said "I would do anyhting for Joe," I wonder if she considered shutting the hell up? Although we were told Satch was too tired to come and meet us for the meet and greet, he came out and shook our hands, took pictures and signed stuff outside the bus. Thank you Joe for the best concert ever.

This was the fourth time I saw Joe live, and by far the most intimate. I stood right in front of him the entire show, and my ears are still ringing! I have been to many concerts over the years, but I would only take that kind of punishment for a Joe Satriani experience. The setlist hit all the high points for the most part, plus a few songs I've never heard him perform live. I wish the premium package had been an option for this show, as I would have loved to meet Joe again. I'll be there again next time, and I hope it isn't a long wait for a show near Raleigh!!!

great show, the only thing that didn't make it a 10 was the guy that started the show (he was an amazing guitarist and really innovative, but as an opener for satch...i dunno.). also i know joe was having many problems with the sound and monitors on stage at the beginning of the show, but it was nice and loud, and played many songs that i hadn't heard live before on cds or dvds or anything of the such.

the show started with several songs from crystal planet, my personal fave. i can't get enough of that cd. it's so damned good. from there it just went everywhere. it was so amazing.

as an audition piece for berklee school of music, i played "always with me, always with you", and i was so amazed when joe played that for the first song of the encore. the song ended with 5 minutes of completely amazing, jaw dropping, all in awe amazement improvisation.

this being my first satch show, it was amazing. i drove myself and 3 friends 3 hours to see the show. i wish i could have gotten a pick though...but overall it was a fun day - we left at 3:30 in the afternoon, got home at 5:30 in the morning. well worth the trip!

I enjoyed the show greatly. My first. I've been a hugh Joe fan for sometime now. I agree with the reviews I've read so far about the lady or pain in the rear. She should have just let Joe play. He's trying to entertain us all with his skill. Like when she reached acrossed the monitor to get the pick that he dropped between his long and short delays. What if she have pulled out one of his cables and killed his sound. I know mike (his tech) was pissed. He has to love be thought of as a Guitar God, but doesn't want to be bugged whiles he's playing, who would? Still a Great Show and hope to see another soon. Over and Out......

This show was the best thing I've ever seen in my life! Satch was the man and the setlist was awesome! I espically liked Hordes of Locusts, War, and Morroca Sunset. The only thing that sucked was the drunk middle aged lady standing next to me, she was so hardcore and aggrevating. Aside from that, I was a little dissapointed that satch didnt come for the meet and greet that we had with the aftershow passes, but he was tired I guess. Other than that, I loved it.

EDIT: By no means do I want to make anyone think that Joe bailed on his fans! He might have been too tired for the special meet and greet, but he did sign stuff for the people that went to the bus! I just want to make sure noone thinks that Joe would bail like that, he's still the greatest ever!!

Oh wow. I'm probably not the the most knowledgable or qualified Satch fan out there, but I'm a fellow musician and have been getting inspired by him since 1991. I've been going to Satch shows for years and can say with great ease that this performance was exceptional. It was the most personal and smooth show I've experienced in a long time. Jeff, Matt and Galen were on the money all night long as they kept up with Satch's masterful improvs. Wow. If you like Satch, go see one of these "evening with" shows ASAP and get ready to watch these guys JAM! I've attended 2 in one week, and I wish he was sticking around my area a little longer...I'd go to 10! Joe, I love your red guitars!!
