Although the evening was a bit chilly, Joe, Stu, Eric and Jeff were brilliant! I've had the pleasure of seeing Joe perform live, at many different venues, since the release of 'Surfing with the Alien' back in late 1988, and this show was the SHISNIG!!!! (that means it was out of this world!). 'Borg Sex', 'Raspberry Delta Jam V', 'If', 'Crystal Planet', and 'Love Thing' were some of my favorites. Joe appreciated the crowd's cheers and applause for 'You're My World' saying 'You don't always get that kinda reaction when you play the slower tunes at the beginning of the show". For almost 3 hours, Joe and crew tore it up! I can't wait for the next show......whatever venue that might be!

The whole show was awesome but it was outside and you could not hear all the little things that make songs just that better, But don't get me wrong these guys are awesome musicians I believe the best in the world at what they do. It was just missing something, Being that I went to the Wiltern Theatre to see them the next day just showed me how much better it was to have an indoor concert vs being outside.What sucked for me was that ticketmaster put that the show started at 7:30 and when we got there John P. had already done 3 songs.They later said that Management decided to move the concert up a half hour but we never got that information.We came all the way from L.A 2 good hours of driving.

JESUS CHRIST!!!!! Someone once told me "Satriani is the Master" and i said who?, not long after I began to listen to his music and it was AMAZING, very gourgeous pieces of music, very sentimental ones, very joyfull pieces of work. A few months after i knew that Mr. Satriani was coming to town and i went wooooooo hooooooo!!!! and quickly i went to buy the ticket. Allthough i was at the back at the venue i didn't blick I just kept myself in the seat enjoying beautifull music that Mr. Satriani had wrote, and I must say that THE SHOW KICKED SOME SERIOUS ASS!!! It was the best single show i have ever been to, it was perfectly executed, no errors and believe me HE IS THE MASTER!!! and after the show i said to myself "When he comes back I'm gonna be in the front", and that what i did, June 28, 2001 7:00 pm humphreys concerts by the bay 6th Row seat 114, DAMM RIGHT!! One more thing, my most sincere respect to Mr. Joe Satriani, he is one of the best musicians on the planet, thank you for you're music.

The concert in SD was amazing. I flew down from Idaho to see Joe play and was totally blown away. I will be at G3 01. Keep playin that amazing music Joe Eric

This was the fourth time I've seen Joe, and he blew the crowd away. I was stunned even though I knew what to expect. He seemed even more precice than usual. I purposely postponed a cross country move to see the concert; glad I did. Thanks, Joe, for a memorable evening. R. PS: The above ranking needs a 15 or higher.

Awesome performance despite less than optimal weather conditions. I took my wife to show her what it is like to witness true magic in it's purest form. On occasion Joe's signal seemed to get lost in the mix but, only through certain passages. All in all thank you Joe, Stu (Chuck), Jeff and Eric for a truly memorable event and please return to San Diego soon

I am always blown away by Joe and his band. My husband, my 14 yr old son and myself absolutely rocked out during the whole show and an unbelievable 3 encores!!! It was really fun for me to party with my son under the stars to such great talent. We saw Joe 4 yrs ago during the 3G's tour which also rocked....how could it not?? When Joe came back 2 years ago to 4th & B my son had a fit when my husband and I talked about going...he was 12 at the time and couldn't get in (over 21 club)so we didn't dare go, and really didn't want to go without the kid, he is part of what makes it so fun. We can't wait for his next show, hopefully outdoors, I love to hear Joe's sound blow past and almost take me off my feet. Thanx Joe (and band) for the great show at Humphreys, great memories and for being the best!!

The greatest concert I've ever been to. No opening act to suffer through and the worst seat in Humphrey's is better than you'll get at any other venue. True Joe was drowned out a little bit at times during his leads so it could have been a tad louder, but it's nice to have your ears after a concert. Much better than G3 in Sacto.

kick ass! I caught the last G3 tour and I thought Joe and band couldn't possibly improve. The new material sounds better live than on the CD itself and was worth every penny.

I thought the show at the Wiltern was excellent, but this was even better! It also was a real pleasure for my husband and myself to get to meet Joe after the show. It just keeps getting better and better...

Satch! What can I say? It was the best yet. I've been inspired again. This show was much better than the 4&B show two years ago. You were comfortable with the audience and I didn't hear a stray note all night. Yer a pro man. Chuck <grin> was great! Although, I'm having a tough time comming up with an appropriate Chuck Chant! It is simply the greatest live performance you will ever see by a band. Every single time they give it there best. I have seen over 500 or more concerts in my life and nothing compares to the enjoyment and appreciation you will feel after the show by Joe and the Band. Not only is Joe one of the Best Guitarist in the world he is also more importantly a world class guy. After 12 of Joe's shows the Humphreys show was just one more to cherish. Thanks Joe. I was never a big fan of Joe Satriani. My mother loves him and for mother's day she, my sister and I went to his concert at Humphreys. On my way there I was a little skeptical as to how good it was going to be, but once it began, I was completely dumbfounded by the energy he and his band produced. Usually when I see a concert, the lead singer is always the star and the rest of the band is always a bit mediocre compared to him or her. In Joe's case, his whole band was amazing. They were so tight in their playing and each member has such individual talent that combined together, produced a show that was not only incredible to listen to, but fun to watch as well. What tripped me out the most though was watching Joe's hands make the slightest movement and producing the most complex sound. It seems his talent is limitless. Other than the drunk guys sitting behind us yelling "turn it up" and constantly talking through the whole concert, I would say it was one of the best shows I've seen. I am now a big Satriani fan and am going to copy my mom's Cds. :) Thanx for a great show guys. Please keep it up. Rock on, Maya Seaman

Great new version of Rubina... Overall, a wonderful show. I know Humphrey's has a low noise policy. That is my only criticism. It wasn't loud enough! IT NEVER IS AT HUMPHREY'S. Joe always sounded good at 4th & B over the years and awesome at the Claifornia theater. Humphrey's is a nice venue...high class...and expensive.....but too mellow and quite. I wouldn't go see him at Humphrey's a second time, but I would anywhere else. Looking forward to it. I would love to hear Time Machine sometime.

The show was amazing!!!!!!! I have a new respect for joe because he is so much better live. He is truly one of the best guitar players in the world. I wish it could of been louder. Hope joe comes back soon. Joe YOU RULE!!!!!!!!

Obsessed for years on Joe's music, I felt it of great importance to expose my two teen-age daughters to the absolute best music there is. Joe did not let me down. Awesome. Unbelievable performances by the whole group. We are still riding high on the experience. Thanks for the BEST Mothers Day I have ever had. My kids now know that "Mom does know best". Peace and Love to you all.

Everyone was ON!! And the band played on, and on, and on! 3 encores KILLER!!! The only thing that I could have asked for was more volume to put it over the top!! Also after winning the online contest for 2 passes was just unbelievable! The day I received the email I went nuts all morning!!! Joe, Stu, Eric, Jeff, you guys are AWESOME! Keep pouring it out, we'll take MORE!! Later in the summer it is SUPPOSED to get warmer, so we in San Diego appologize for the weather conditions during the show! Thanks again Joe!!

the show was kick ass! everyone rocked, eric was great even though he said to was cold and hard to play....jeff was insane on the drums and chuck hamm was awesome! played his solo like a madman, joe was awesome as usual! first time ever seeing anyone live and it rocked! please play all age shows again in san diego joe!

This was the first show that I've seen by Joe Satriani. I first learned about him when he just released his "Surfing whith the Alien" album. After seeing tonight's show and Joe playing "Satch Boogie", I'd have to say I can die a happy man now! I definately got my moneys worth tonight! Joe and crew played 2 encores tonight! Thanks to Joe and the rest of the awesome crew for an great evening of music. Go see Joe if you get the chance!

Wow !!! joe ripped it up !! If you missed this concert you missed a great one. Eric really filled in the songs well and joe was on fire. Stu played great oh I mean CHUCK HAMM hahahaha ; ) GREAT JOB SATCH COMEBACK TO SAN DIEGO AGAIN !!!!!!! Blake. Oh and by the way Jeff kept a rock solid groove, way to go bro!
