Very cool. Joe's music in the open air is inredible. The lights of downtown Atlanta lend themselves very nicely to just about anybody's music. This was my 4th time seeing Joe live, with my only gripe being the predictability of his set list. Joe has many absolutely incredible songs that I have yet to hear him play live. All of that aside, Joe kicks ass live.

Joe, this was the sixth time I've seen you play live. I drove in from Birmingham (I'm the guy who met you outside the backstage entrance here in B'ham and we walked and talked about stuff like me being from Smithtown as well... remember? Anyway, this was by far the best show you've done! You even wore my Braves hat while you played "Love Thing". Stu was right on the money (except for when he almost fell from slipping on a cable). Jeff was solid as a rock, as always. Eric added a great dimention to the sound (kinda wierd seeing a lefty Ibanez on stage with you). But most of all, even though you are a professional and have been doing this for decades, you appeared to be more at ease and more inspired that night than I've ever seen you before. Thanks for donning the hat mid-show, and I hope to see you again soon.

First of all let me say, Satch was perfect . I mean the guy is amazing. The sound quality was a little shitty(BUT THAT WASNT SATCHS FAULT). But satch being the pro that he is put on a amazing show anyways. Stu was amazing, he did awesome solos, and the rest of the band was great as well. I just want to say that Satch is amazing, and i want to thank him for his music, it really inspires me. This was the best concert i hane ever seen..Satch you truely are a pro. Thank you Brandon Smith a.k.a Satch_lover

The Atlanta Music Midtown Set Was The Most Terrific Set Of Joe Satriani's Music I Had Ever Seen Joe Do.(That was My Sixth Time Seeing Joe). The Sound was Perfect And The Selection Of Songs Were Teriffic. The Addition Of Eric Cordeaux At Keybords Added A New Dimension To The Show. Keep It Going Joe. Spanish Fly

This was the second show I was able to see on this tour in less than two weeks...I was in Detroit on 24 April and made the drive to see the show in Grand Rapids. This was an extra special event, however, because the ATL is home and, most importantly, my two kids had been looking forward to seeing Joe for months. My guys are 6 and 4 (yup), and Joe is their absolute favorite. My wife and I tried to prep them regarding how loud it was going to be (ear plugs), etc. We were also concerned that they might not make it through the night...wrong. This was a special night and the kids were jammin' My son was playing air guitar along with Joe (note for note) at stage left, and it was a hoot! The music? Oh, yeah...it was truly excellent. Stu playing the Star Spangled Banner?! At the center of everything, however, Joe's totally masterful playing reigned supreme. We own all of his albums, but as great as his recordings are, it is an absolute wonder to see Joe live. Thanks Joe, we all had a blast.

Whoa! The band played another great performance and blew the crowd away. I was on the front row hanging onto the barrier so I was fortunate to see their playing up close. As with many concerts, there were tons of crowd surfers but the most memorable one of the evening was a guy in the wheelchair was passed right over my head into the security pit. Joe was in the middle of a solo and stopped playing just long enough to wave at the guy and have a quick chuckle. The playing was phenominal, however I wasn't able to hear many of the solos as clearly as I might have if I had been farther out in the crowd. I guess that's the give and take of being close up vs. being farther back and hearing the mix through the P.A. I had a great time and Atlanta was left with another great memory of one of the most renound players of our time. Joe, thanks for the experience and the inspiration. Randy J. Atlanta, GA

I can't say enough about how great this show was. My son and I managed to get right up front on side of the stage (our left, Joe's right) and were able to watch a true magician work his magic with the audience! It is rare that he comes to Atlanta (only for Music Midtown lately!) and we were in total awe.

What was even more special was the fact that my son and I got personally acknowledged by Joe during the performance several times (head nods) and I could tell he was enjoying the show as much as the audience. We wound up with a full 2-hour concert instead of just the 1-1/2 hour slated for him and all I can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. We will definitely be back for more. A CD just cannot capture the awe inspired by a live performance by the best guitarist in the world!

I've never seen Joe to be so energetic... I have always been used to him finding a place on stage and just rocking out, kinda off in his own world. But, he seemed to really enjoy the crowd at the festival and the fact that they had it cranked, I'm sure he was digging that as well. He put a wonderful show on, as did Stu. Played for nearly two hours, could not ask for more. : ) 'cept for maybe Mike Portnoy to walk out with Steve Vai or something odd like that. : D

Would give it a ten, but nothing is perfect. : )

What would you give to watch DaVinci paint the Mona Lisa, Michaelangelo carve the David statue,to be there when Einstein developed the Theory of Relativity, or, more recently, to watch Michael Jordon in game seven of the NBA playoffs in person?

Please, PLEASE, make every effort to see Joe Satriani on this tour. Apparent divine presence propel these brief moments in time into historical events, and I believe this tour is another. The talent on display transcends mortal guitar playing ability.

Because Joe's appearance in Atlanta was part of a music festival (headliner), we were not blessed with a full set. Although he was only scheduled for 90 minutes, Joe graciously granted us with two hours of his awe-inspiring craft. This, however, meant that some songs had to be left out of the normal set (as posted by previous reviews). We missed Cool #9, Circles, Down Down Down, Clouds, Love Thing (my favorite), One Big Rush, and Rubina.

Despite these omissions, the ensemble and the set were stunning. I feel blessed that I could attend. I can not give a numeric rank, because historical events can not be held to a 1 to 10 scale.

Joe, I caught your show at Midtown, I drove up from Jacksonville FL, where I wish you would make that one of your tour stops. You rocked! Your show was the highlight of the entire weekend. No one even held a candle to you. Keep on jammin' Homer.

By the way one of your picks hit me in the chest and I wasn't fast enough to grab it. If you send out picks in the mail let me know. I feel like I deserved that one. Later.

Actually, the show sounded great. As you listen to the guys play(JOE and Stu) you have to realize the guys can do this in their sleep. Honestly, I've heard Joe play here in Atlanta atleast 8 or 9 times and each time I wanted to run home and pick up my guitar. Don't get me wrong the sound was GREAT,the technique was unfaultered and the showmanship was uniquely Joe. I would just hope the next time I see him, it may be a little less predictable. Keep up the good work!!

Man, oh Man, what a great show!! This was definitely the best Satch show I've ever seen. He was just incredible. The sound was great, the band was great. Being a bass player I was there to see Stu Hamm as well and he was in top form!! Loved the national anthem during the bass solo!! Thanx for great evening!!

Totally smokin' show!!! Excellent weather, excellent sound, and we were down in THE FRONT ROW!!!!! I had my 14 yr old nephew with me (his 1st concert) and the security guys let him sit in front of the retaining rail. Joe sent one of the guys down with some guitar picks and gave it to him, which I thought was totally cool. The set list was awesome. Stu's solo was superb, as always...the rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" made me want to stand up and salute. Some guy threw a Atlanta Braves cap onstage. Joe put it on & the place went wild! Ended the show with "Friends", and then my nephew caught one of Jeff's drumsticks and one of Stu's bass strings.. Totally awesome!!!!!!

the show was great but could of been better. the sound levels were pretty crappy, I couldn't hear the guitar half the time. Eric cardeuix wasn't very good but, overall it was awesome. I got to meet the satch.
