Great show Joe, Jeff, Matt and Galen....thanks for the memories ! May I suggest playing at the DECC in Duluth or the Historic State Theatre in Minneapolis next time, as the acoustics in the Medina are really bad and your younger fans were'nt allowed in. These young fans will be your biggest asset in a few years. Peace, Dave

Wow, I am sorry for the late review. This was my first time seeing Joe perform live. Matt was great too. At first I was a bit upset for not seeing Stu, but I was blown away when matt played his solo. He is indeed a great bassist (and an awesome entertainer! thanks for giving me those great shots :)

I play guitar too, and I have to say I try to emulate 99 percent of how joe would play, even I cant do a fraction of it. Joe if you are reading this, I just wanted to thank you for coming to Medina to perform. I was blown away to see you infront of me for the first time. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!

I have dedicated a page for you. (yes, it does include some pictures of that show) I was lucky to be so close to backstage. I wish the stage was a bit higher.

Heres the link for you Joe if you are reading this.

Always a pleasure to hear Joe play , in fact , this was the third show I've seen this year. This should have been the best show ever for me cuz I won some aftershow passes. But for whatever reason , Joe did not meet us after the show. Meeting Joe was the deciding factor to drive a 1000 miles to see this show. If Joe is going to have aftershow pass drawings, He should honor his commitment. A great evening ended as a real bummer!

I have most of Joe's albums but this was my first time seeing him live and it was awesome. We were in the back for awhile and you couldn't see much because of the stage but we went to the side of the stage and we had a great spot. Joe played a lot more "rockers" than I thought he would but I didn't complain. He sounded great and he put on a fun show. Next time he's in the area, I will be going for sure.

Another great show! I've seen Joe every single time he's been in Minnesota and this show didn't disappoint. The setlist was incredible. There are always some songs that I wish would be played, but with such an extensive catalog of killer tracks its gotta be tough to choose what doesn't get played.

Medina is a tough place to play since the acoustics are pretty rough and the stage is very low, but the band rocked the place for almost three hours straight and certainly made up for the venue!

Simply incredible...

As always, next time you come to the Twin Cities, I'll be there!

-Matt

Joe just smoked away as usual. Although Matt lagged on some songs. I think that if Stu participates in any gigs with Joe, than his bass "counterpart" should be nailing the playlists a little cleaner, Or - Matt should be allowed to break free, stop trying to copy Stu and do more of his own thing. I guess if your not a bass player, you probably wont notice... Stu is just too good to compare to any other bass players. I just wish I did'nt have to compare.

Awesome show as usual, I've gone to every show since the eighties here and wouldn't miss one. As everyone here knows the venue is challenging sonicly but it's also more intimate. I would have to say that you played the best set list I have ever heard from you guys. As always were glad you stopped here on this tour. Thanks for the potatoe head groove..............

Up from North Carolina on business, I was thrilled to be able to see Joe. I've seen him 5 times now. This time was awesome as always, but major drawbacks because of the venue. The stage was so low, standing only 4 rows back, it was difficult to see his work. I can't imagine the people behind me, way back at the tables. The acoustics were not great, but they never are in smaller places. The set list rocked though. All the older tunes were nice, with a perfect mix from the new album. Time Machine was a nice treat as well. Great show with the challenges. Thanks to all the Minnesota folks who were very cool and friendly.

As usual, Joe's playing takes you where it does,on a journey with him. In a room that is at best, difficult to deal with sound wise, Joe's musicallity and drive makes it rock all the more. This was lucky 13 as far as seeing Joe goes(13th time seeing Joe), and as always, I'm blown away by his command of the guitar. I also was lucky to be passing by his bus and briefly meet him, and pass along a favorite c.d. I am always looking forward to the next chance to see Joe again

I'm giving it a ten. I'm a new fan of Satriani so I've never seen him live before not even on DVD. I got there early and was right up front. At times it seemed that the bass and rhythm player got a little louder than Joe, but for the most part I thought it was great. He has a presence on the stage that I found entertaining. Always cool with that "cat that ate the canary" grin. Awesome show. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

It's unfortunate that people continue to disrespect Matt. Matt and Stu play two different styles of bass guitar. It is unfair to fault Matt for not playing jazz bass (like Stu) when his focus is rock. I've seen Matt play live and he doesn't miss a beat. Bottom line -- lighten up and show Matt some respect. He's an accomplished rock bass player, not some lounge lizard at the local tavern.
