Fantastic show. The setlist was expertly crafted and heavy on new material but interlaced with older songs. Joe is at the top of his game and watching him supported by the expert musicianship of Bryan, Kenny and Rai was a joy to witness. The only thing missing? Bryan - you needed to do a bass solo! :-)

Joe at 66 is like fine wine; just keeps getting better with age. Another great mix of Joe’s classics and new material. Thunder High on the Mountain and Luminous Flesh Giants were just brutally heavy. As usual Joe’s solos range from soaring to shredding, slowing things down a bit with Teardrops and Faceless. Par for the course, Joe surrounds himself with accomplished band mates that lay down a rock solid canvas for Joe to do what he does best. Bravo, yet another masterpiece of a show.

Joe and the band were phenomenal. Mixing new tunes from The Elephants of Mars, and Shapeshifting with a bunch of classic favorites made for a great set covering a wide sampling of Joe's music. Everyone in the band was fantastic and it led to great improvisational playing between the four of them. Joe sets a great atmosphere, and you can't help but to be transcended to a place not of this Earth. Joe played two sets, plus an encore, and there were fantastic drum and keyboard solos by Kenny and Rai. The show was over 2 1/2 hours, and I could have stayed all night listening to Joe and the band. If you have the chance to go see Joe live, do not hesitate. You'll thank me later. Thank you, Joe, Kenny, Rai, and Bryan, for a fantastic evening! Can't wait to see you all again.
