I think most of us have our own dream G3 line ups. And sure it would be fun to get to see our favorites come together and play but you have to hand it to Joe and Co. for introducing us to some great players over the years. This G3 is no exception a truly amazing evening of creativity and guitar. My hats off to all the players and all the staff and especially John, Paul, and Joe. Thanks for a soul rocking evening. Joe you keep picking them and I’ll keep attending.

Please do not mistake my low ranking as a reflection of the performance. Everyone played really well...as far as I could SEE. The problem was, I could not hear. I paid about $95.00, and the only guitar player I could here worth a r*ts *ss was Jon Petrucci. Here is what I wrote to this site's webmaster, which was the only person I thought would be able to do anything short of, "Sorry, Pal."

Hello, Sorry to be like this, but I am wondering if there is a way to get some kind of a refund for Saturday's show at the Berkeley Community Theater. I paid about $95.00 for a second row seat, so that I could really enjoy this show. However, (and this is totally the fault of the sound people in the theater.) there were quite a few full range reinforcement sound cabinets on the lip of the stage facing the first few rows of seats. None of them were working properly, at least on stage left, that I could tell. I could barely hear a single note played by the following musicians, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, or Bruce Bouillet. These are the three people that I came to see, and paid lots of money for. Yes, I could see them just fine, but could barely hear a note played. I could hear Jon Petrucci quite well, seeing as he was setup on my side of the stage. I would imagine that you will most likely be hearing from other folks who had this problem. They tried several times to correct the issue, and by the end of the show had moved one cab. from stage right, and moved it over to my section, but it too was just out of earshot. So, I am just wondering if there is a way to get at least some of my money back, because though it was no fault of Joe's management, I can't help but feel that I have been cheated out of what LOOKED like a pretty kickass show. Any help that you can provide would be great.
