Webmaster.... I think you should just program this thing to stop wolf from posting anything... it's utter nonsense :P Just my 2 cents. And i think yeah.... Joe should come out with videos. LOTS of them...
where's the man in blue? 8-] and hey all, the nut on my geetar fell off when i was changing strings. can i just glue it back on? its not plastic, its brass, and before it even looked like an pretty bad custom job. will super glue work or should i take it into a geetar shop? thanks all and thanks joe for being yourself. . . leon 8-]
Tyrz: "The Beautiful Guitar" is NOT Joe's first album. It is a compilation of songs from several Cds, although I cannot remember the release date. You may be thinking of the self-titled album that Joe sold out of the trunk of his car. If you find one of those, you're doing good. If you still want "The Beautiful Guitar," it's for sale at www.cduniverse.com . DISHENKEL: Go to www.ibanez.com and go to the section on the JS series. There you will find an explanation of the controls.
hello joe, i'm so excited about your new album engines of creation, which is like a sound of the other planet, with new sounds of course. and when do you plan to make a gig in asia, especially in indonesia?, because i'm very miss you so much to see your playing, since you helped mick jagger's tour in Jakarta Indonesia on october 1988. To the Engines of Creation tour (Joe, Eric, Jeff, and Stu), you guys were unbelievable at both the Wiltern and Sun theaters! I will catch you whenever you make it to this area again. I converted many friends the night of the sun theater into instantaneous Satch fans. There's hope yet left for Generation X. Was wondering if there's a chance of the webcast being turned into a DVD? You can definitely count on me buying one if that did happen... just an idea... Thanks again for the magical music! Now if I could just put Joe on slow-motion, frame by frame, I'll be set!

Hey joe!! what's up??? had a blast at your show in denver... now i have
just one question... Where on earth can i find your first album?
"The Beautiful Guitar"... I have searched long and hard to no profit...
it is the last one i need to finish out my collection of all your CD's
WHERE CAN I GET IT??????????
Thanks,
Jon
I was at the Philly show & it was the argueably the best of Joe "live" that I've ever seen among two other tours that I've seen him on. Joe should *seriously* consider recording a live video or better yet, a full-featured live DVD of this tour! BTW, my NJ-based Rush tribute band is looking for a Bassist/Singer. Inquire in confidence :)

Hey Jeff, I just bought the new Five Iron Frenzy CD and noticed that you played percusion on one of their songs, I thought that it was pretty awesome. What do you think of that band? They sound like they have alot of fun.
dtishenkel: If you own a Chromeboy, and you don't know how to work it, I will hunt you down man, really, I will. That would just be the most pathetic thing ever.
Satch you need to make a live tape for this tour. I would buy it right away and I'm sure other people would too. I saw at Hammerstein and you were awesome. Please have the tape.
Hey YA Yo - I have the soundtrack to that movie and I crack up every time I listen to it because I think about whats going on in the movie during that song! Some guy is getting is head beat it! ERIC - Since you seem to be posting a lot, maybe you could answer this question. Are you guys gonna hit the U.S. again after the Intl. dates? Thanks! - Andrew
Hey Webmaster! You really need to do something with this Wolf2 guy/gal. I am sure that there is a way to trace this Wolf2. Wolf2 is an A------. This page is for Joe and his loyal fans. Not some idiot who thinks that he has control and write a whole lot of nothing. Please you have the control over the page DO SOMETHING!!!!!! I am a loyal Joe fan and have been since flying this Wolf2 is a disgrace and a germ that seems to be spreading and hopefuuly we can stop.
Webmaster: I missed the webcast, and the audio keeps crapping out when I try to watch the archive. Trust Apple to make a crappy product... Anyway, I was hoping there was somewhere I could just download the whole big video file so I can watch it from my hard drive instead of streaming it. Also, next time you might want to go with Windows Media Advanced Streaming - just a suggestion, it IS really much better, all Microsoft animosity aside.
Joe: Caught your show in S.F. last month. Simply awesome. Come back and play in the bay area again very soon!
-Jeremy
Joe, Stu, Jeff, and Eric, you guys are the best! I am a musician as well and you are a huge inspiration to me and my friends. I only ask one thing...... to come and play a gig in Newfoundland! Wow Joe... due to technical problems... I'm only listening (not watching coz of my connection speed) to the webcast now. I really like the twist u gave to "love thing"... the acoustic sounding thing. It's really beautiful. (A favor... post the chord progressions of love thing -and chord shapes if u have the time- so i can try to be like u ;)
It's fantastic that you're taking the effort to listen to your fans even though u have such a busy schedule. Your music is just too good :) Carry on rockin...
And will asia be in your itenary soon? (Singapore...)
Well, I’ve been listening to a lot of tunes lately. Mostly, if not all, of guitar players. You name it…Alan Holdsworth, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Vinny Moore, Jimi, Jeff Beck, Michael Schenker, Ulrich Roth, Pat Methaney, Larry Carlton, as well as several other lesser-known players. I’m sure there are those who I’ve yet to hear.
While all of these guys can definitely play guitar, there are but a few that truly have that spark, that difference that takes them out of the realm of guitar player and into the realm of musician.
Now, you must consider the different genres of music that each of these guys comes from. And I admit that on certain songs on certain albums, each one of them might have clicked over into a truly classic song w/a classic jam. Don’t get me wrong, I love to listen to any killer guitar work, no matter where it comes from. But I look for what I consider to be some of the marks of true musicianship:
* Solid composition that is not the same thing rehashed
* Tricky busyness in the background when it comes to fill
* A really killer lead
* A distinct sound when it comes to tonality & production
* The ever-changing progression from what is old to what is new.
Joe & the gang have done just that on EOC. It’s new, it’s solid, it has killer sound & production, and Eric & Joe got just the right amount of fill, busyness, & generally cool sounds going on all over the place. Not to mention that Joe really shreds the crap out of the guitar. My hat is off to all who contributed to this latest release. IT REALLY COOKS!
Eric, Jeff, & Stu…thank you for dropping in. Joe, I hope the weather’s nice in SF. God bless you guys as you travel abroad, and my friends & I will be prayin’ for ya’
Hey Eric, I mean ANDRE.... Thats's funny... Andre is a Portuguese name (or latin)... Are you descendent from a latin "native". Don't you have somtimes the desire to swap with Joe in some song, so that you play the solo guitar and him the backing one????????? :-).......... Clinton is talking about all of you at www.bigfoot.com/~Nuno.Felicio/satriani ... Bye!!!!!
Joe,
Looking forward to your show in Glasgow - Scotland. P.S. tried playing your music on the axe, way toooooo complex. Not complaining though as your sound is truly superb ! See ya.
Good morning brother man!!not raining here yet man ,hey buddy who this andre ,dude man?.dont really matter man ,man i just woke up brother man ruff hey man ,i fell a sleep with my shoes on man hahha!think i was tired man,man i got stuff to do large today man if i feel like it ,see man i got this one whole certain bunch of good looking females ,that in reality yes!! i should have stoped in and said hey already man ,i cant believe im going to this place to visit chics man,i cruised by there yesterday but i didnt see no mustang happening ,like whats this hey man one good looking chic a time so you keep me visisting for aweek!? no your not dust in the wind at all ladies geees chics hey joe i guys try to work ,your lucky though ladies im still the same nice guy like ,work is work women .anyways so yeah possibly visit bad place with babes ,and barbwire wild hey man? got to find a couple buddys man ,got to take care of some unofficial buisnesse,s, still looking for a nice pad to live in more right in chicago,i got some stuff for b.gs. maybe ,creating work for small city team and trying to do everything else at the same time, anywyas man sugar girl, she gonna be exspensive but she cant be beat ille keep certain ladies informed anyways busy day possibly hey man i seen a really nice blue and gold yesterday man ,yeah i see you that was one of the nicest so far right on oowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!bark at the moon anyways coffe time chow for now wolfie .
Suggestion: I don't mean this to come across the wrong way, it's just an observation. Since, the EOC crew doesn't post many messages, why are they the colored ones? Couldn't it be switched? It is clearly easier to distinguish which of the five people's posts are (like in say satch's blue color) than every one else. I know it is possible to set up html accepting message boards where people could choose their own color and spice up a bit. Then, just filter out the color selected for the band and webmaster.
hehe i still think the cd sucked man, really but live it kicked major booty.....the cd is irritating man, all up on ya with the tenseness and techno jive argh i cant think about it....anyway you rock! someone told me you look like robert downey jr with the sunglasses onstage man.....peace, drop in the chat sometime ! we will make sure that dude doesnt cuss ya out again.....that sucked

karol: If the guitar came with steel strings you have to use those. I like nylon stings better but they won't fit in the little grooves at the head of the guitar. You can change it if you want to but nylon stringed guitars usually have a wider neck then steel stringed ones. I could be wrong though. I don't think your questions are dumb...you gotta learn some how, right? Later
Hey joe was up? First of all id like to say that u are the man at guitar, ive only been playing the guitar for 2 years and you are the guy that i wanna be, music wise, music wise joe. I just started getting into ur music like a month ago and now im curious how u got to where u are. And how old were you when u first picked up the good ole 6-string
Thanx
Joe: I was wondering what a symetrical scale is. I know the regular seven modes (ionian - Locrian)Harmonic minor and whole tone, But what is the symetrical scale? Gabi: You forgot John Mclaughlin from the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Good list though. Thanx Spider
Hi Joe, just a quick question (or two), I have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar and finally I am going to get the opportunity. My question to you is when learning on an acoustic guitar, is it better to use the nylon strings or the metal strings? What is the actual difference? My husband bought me an ibanez acoustic guitar and it came with metal strings, can I replace them with the nylon? (I feel like these are really dumb questions, but I would really appreciate the answer anyways.) Thanks a bunch - karol
hahahaha!!! Eric you certainly had alot of energy in you to wright all that!! Yes, I will also take this time to give credit, where credit is due!! Eric excellent work on EOC!!! Your guitar playing is a perfect blend for Joe's crazy antics on the guitar!! And your keyboard playing is A-1 in my books!! Peace to you Eric and I hope you have for the rest of the tour!!!
Eric man I hate to sound like I'm kissing up but I think you did an amazing job on EOC, seriously. I met you briefly after the Philly show and got you to sign my setlist that I snagged from a security guy... Thanks! You were quite cheerful... and French! Hehehe, great job on the tour too by the way. And Jeff... Amazing as always! I also got you to sign my setlist afterwords, you were with Eric, and I probably said you were the man at drums or something. When I saw the CP tour gig at the Tower Theater in Philly, I barely knew any songs besides the CP album... But I did notice that you had the coolest darned drum set I'd ever seen and you knew how to use it! You seem like you have a lot of self-restraint, cause you could go off on crazy solo stuff but you only stick fills in where necessary, and admirable quality in a drummer! Keep on kicking butt everyone - Eric, Jeff, Stu, and of course, JOE! Oh yeah and webmaster too, don't want you to feel left out...
It would be very cool!!!!!!!!!Est-ce que c'est ta première année de spectacle?Bon je te laisse, bye!!!!Take Care!!!!!!!:)
Bonjour Eric! Ca va? I can't speak hardly any French actually, :-). I talked to you after the Philly show, you signed my backstage pass and we talked for a bit about you touring with Joe and writing Turkey Man.... but I am sure you have talked to hundreds of people, and I am just the average 'joe'. Well, you kicked major butt with the guys, Borg Sex was an awesome moment. I hope you stick with Joe for awhile, see ya! -Ryan
Hi guys, just playing hard to get, that's all...I still can't believe I was out on the road with those guys! What a blast! I want to thank you all for being so kind on this tour, it was great to meet so many of you, Guitarmom, Michelle, Mary...I would have liked to spend some time with you guys(although I resent the "Cheap Turkey" comment, lol), Twig you're the best, Vanessa, award for the biggest smile of the tour...Ya yo, that was fun...come on Man, I need more EOC bashing....I'm missing it! Christopher, on se verra en France j'espere, Prog, what can I say...I will have to start practicing Rubber Gtr...the man is GOOD! (btw, where can I get a cheap one of those?), the Un-Official Satriani fan club, real pleasure to meet so many of you guys! God, the list goes on and on!
Now let me answer some of your questions, favorite songs live? Goodbye, Rubina, Raspberry Jam Delta-V, Borg Sex (duh!). Gear used on EOC: Logic Audio, Protools, Samplecell, all the silly plug-ins you can think about, Moogerfooger pedals, Electro-Harmonix Microsynths pedals, old Neve and Telefunken mic-pres, Tube compressors, Supernova synths, S6000 samplers, really old Keyboards..etc...The Gtr on "Goodbye", Strat through old Bassman for the melody, and SansAmp through Amp Farm for the solo.
About the grey hair, it's real...sign of wisdom they say...
Finally, thank you for the kind words on EOC. Makes it all worth it!
Man, sounds like a Grammy awards speech. I should stop while I'm ahead.
A bientot tout le monde. Eric
Webmaster, I think it's a good idea to limit the amount of posting... good thinking there... One post every few hours sounds about right. Or maybe two posts in case someone forgets to say something they wanted to say...

WEBMASTER: We need to give Jeff a different color. That red is REALLY hard to read against the black and I have 20/20. How about just white.......good lord that would stand out or Orange......perfect color against black.......but bag the red......Im telling ya.
DEVILJONES, i personally would hafta say Passion & Warfare, i read some guitar mag that proclaimed it to be the greatest instrumental guitar record ever......surfing is awesome too! either one is better than a hendrix record man, hehe i have been listening to hendrix lately too.....whats wrong with me!
Once again web master, pleased to see the progress with the site....not much to say other than that. Lets get the daft people off the site and stick with the true fans. Matt
Mr. Webmaster, I think we all appreciate the efforts. We all have a voice. Some of them are just a little strnage. Hi Joe! And, all your colorful mates, too.
stooo: Here's a belated "thanks" for the info about your upcoming album. Thanks also for hanging out w/us in line after the DC show. We chatted about The Urge cd and how you assumed even more of a lead role on your new cd. Looking forward to Outbound! You guys all Rocked that night!!!
Hey, Joe: you are the MAN! If you didn't get to read my review, thanks again for a great show in DC and for meeting us fans without passes afterwards!!! As always, I was inspired to pick up my guitar and push my own musical boundaries. Remember: if you make it (music), they will come. peace.

Hi Joe, thank you very much for your last album, it is a pure new Satriani experience. I like the way you mix guitar, techno and others types of electronic
music. Carry on man, we all support you in France. So I will see in France the 30th of June in Lille where I live. Do you know how to get backstage ticket to meet you after the show.
This a great year 2000 in March I saw Steve VAI and now I will see you, ahou ahou ... See ya JOE.

ATTENTION ALL IBANEZ OWNERS! I recently purchased a JS1000WP. After about 7 months i noticed an unprevoked crack on the neck where it connects to the bottom. I looked at my friends RG and noticed the same exact thing. Does this happen with all Ibanez? It doesn't look like it goes past the finish and a pro said it won't. He also said that if it's botering me, to send it back under warranty. Any advice? - Andrew
hi,joe i wanna say new album is perfect but its not clear if you come here or not is it?please make us know if youll be in Turkey.we allwanna hear from u bye...

Joe, I just picked up "Surfing with the Alien", ah the memories. That was the first material I heard of yours. I live on Long Island NY, radio stations here don't have "the guts" to play your stuff. I had to always tune in to a CT station, WPLR. It's because they played you that I became a fan in '87. I have to find out if "Dreaming #11" comes as a remastered disc. I like "Crush of Love." Hello Stu, rumble those 18" cabs. Played a nice Fender Jazz bass yesterday. They shouldn't put a pickguard on a bass! That includes under the knobs too! Yell at them for me - Low B
Gabi are you for real???I didn't know there were chicks in this world that dig Slayer and Joe Satriani. If you are for real I think I love you but then with my luck chicks like that are already taken or are half way around the world.DevilJones both of those are good albums and if I were you I'd opt for both. You've got a win/win situation on your hands there.Any ways I can see why Joe rarely drops in here with all the crap postings but hey who knows there could be a love connection between Gabi and I, and that might lead Joe to look in more often or play at the wedding.*S*
Hi Jeff. Nice work on tour, by the way. Just wanted to know what type of snare drum you used to record the studio version of the song Time. It sounds very foreboding, deep, and incredibly crisp. My friend and I have named it: The Bone Crusher. I think you're great, and you work well with Satch. Did you do anything else before hooking up with Joe? Later bro.

dantheman: I will light a candle for you at 7pm because I know you will need the calming effect they have. I have tried that solo for years and I can't get it even with tab. As you may know Crushing day is my favourite song too, and I wish I could get that solo. I'm pulling for you man and I hope that you accomplish that feat. If you run into problems(which I don't think you will) feel free to email me. I have the tab. Hey Joe, if you read this before "ahhh...fresh page" I was wondering if you could answer my question from before. Thans Joe/Webmaster/Jeff/Stu et al.
Feedback on the JS 1000..
I am contemplating getting one, but I have been taking lessons for only 2 years with my fender strat. I was told that these types of Ibanez models are more of a hassle to re-string and tune especially if you like to change strings alot. I assume it's not rocket science, but that it just takes longer to set up than a strat. Input is welcome.. Thanx in advance... Chip
Hey joe how are you ?right on man glad to hear it.Hey x robb cops dont play with chicago man however i heard we are out there writing tickets or atleast trying to ,you know my future buisnness endevour is like this man ,reality is there are chics bugging to do this line ,the second reality is that if they are to be doing sumthin like this it needs to be done properly and safely ,and not foolishy dissapearing floating etc.Thats were i come in and if im not around for a little while the boys cruise through make shure your cool everythings o.k. like tell e a cop car surrounded in babes dont look good designated area sproperly done and ille let everybody know what happening years ago after one that was decent i didnt aquire more that wanted to however im thinking ! so anyway s everybody were your seatbelts dont speed to much and the a team wont get you and it will be a much cheaper day and hey Friend,s how are you ? ille be back later just washed the z man ,my goofy bro changes the motor in his z which is not alf the car of mine but he leaves his old motor in my driveway man like what the f#ck man,so thats one of my missions is getting rid of his motor it looks tacky man ,and talking to dale is another mission and maybe one of the b.gs if hes around anyways later wolfie.
Hey JEFF!! Nice of you to share your set-up :) Nice picture of you and Andre *chuckle* all dolled up at the Fantasy Studios gig! I almost fell off my chair laughing when I seen that! I have almost the same picture (minus the make-up) of you and Eric in the back alley at the Electric Factory in Philly. Mary G. (M&M) took the picture and asked you in Italian if you were keeping up with the language (that's the *clean* version of her translation - the other version she made up as a joke on me...well you'll have to ask her next time you come to Philly - I was red faced LMAOROTF). That Mary is a funny, funny girl! lol! I sent the picture to Jon the webmaster, so maybe he can forward it to you so you guys can have a laugh. Hope to see alot more red posts in the future. Take care of each other :) peace** p.s. Next time I see you in Philly, I hope you have a stick in your back pocket for me!

WEBMASTER (jon): Wolfie taunted you after you announced deleting 'cherries'. His alter-ego 'DAGGARIN' came out right before 'wolf2'. It's pretty obvious that they are also one in the same. Is this just a cry for help? Maybe we should have the police go round to his place in Chicago, just in case. ======= Nice to see you here, Jeff! Don't be a stranger ....

Has anyone checked out Gregg Bissonnette's solo album Submarine yet? There are 11 very good, all completely different, songs on that album, all played by different guitar virtuosos (Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Frank Gambale e.g.). Joe is on there too of course, on the most jazzy and relaxed songs of them all (Lum Lum). He really makes a difference on that album by playing this stuff among all those lightning fast guitar pieces. That's great Joe! For more information, go to www.favorednations.com (Steve Vai's new label)

Hey Gabi. What's going on. 100 top guitarists and RIK EMMETT (TRIUMPH) didn't even get a mention. Must have been an oversight. I'll forgive you though, only cause I like Wolfies Song.

Yo Joe! Glad to be taking a break from the tour? :-) It was great seeing you guys in concert again, and Eric is a great addition. Please plan on making an official recording on CD or video from this current tour, it would make a great double-CD set, hehehe. JOE, I just found a Phil Frazier CD from 1978.... and has you on guitar. The CD has 4 tracks, it's on EBay right now. Can you share some info about this CD? Thanks! -Ryan
Hello to all band members, sorry I missed you on the tour, I am hoping that maybe a g3 touris in the works, there are two places I love to see you guys Concord and Santa Rosa are the two best places to watch such an awsome show please come back and rock the Bay area thanks.
hi folks. hope everyone had a great memorial holiday (in the US,
at least) and getting back into the daily grind isn't too rough.
regarding the 4-hour limit: it was initially only in place for
people who had been abusing it, but i changed it to apply to everyone
equally. let's see how that goes. also, i deleted "cherries" since
i determined that it was indeed the same person as wolf2. we aren't
fans here at satriani.com of censorship, but we also aren't fans of
using multiple email addresses in order to abuse the system and the
community we are trying to maintain and grow. i echo people's comments
about not being led into replying to those who post purely to get a
reaction from y'all. i offer the following for you to consider: the higher
quality you make your posts, the higher quality posts overall will be.
take it personally to make this a positive place for everyone to visit
and kick back in. i do like the idea of having joe and the band's comments
available separately, but there are problems with them referring to posts
which are no longer current, then. the news section allows them to post
items which won't be lost in the general chatter.

OK, it's time for some useless info! I bought Dream Theater:Images and Words today, and I must say, everything I've heard about Petrucci is true. This is a truly amazing CD. Also, I can gain my Satch freak certification now, as I also bought the remastered Surfing CD, even though I already had it. No prob though, I just gave the old one to my girlfriend, to whom I've already given Flying and CP. Well, actually, I originally lent Flying to her not long after we started dating, and never got it back, so I just let her have it and got another one. She's nearly as addicted as me now. Finally, to dantheman, good luck on your endevour, I'm still working on "Always..." ...BIGBABOON's lookin' down on me tonight...

Hey all, haven't been on here in a while... School's out, and i don't have a terribly fast connection at home, so i'm never online anymore. which is good, more time to practice. :o) Just picked up "Not Of This Earth"- interesting album, good songs, but the production kinda blows... hey, what do you want from the 80's... Joe, your clean tone has definately got better of late. The tone on "Until we Say Goodbye" is unreal (but i'm just a strat nut). Anyone know what amp Joe plugged in for that? Hmm... Well, it's late and i'm tired, so goodnight... keep practiving everyone :o)

TO THE WEBMASTER: I must apologize... I see what you were saying about people sort of using this message board as a sort of chat room, I just did it in my last entry! We should save that stuff for the chat room, and this page should be devoted to making less "conversational" posts and general inquiries etc. Sorry once again, Webmaster! (By the way, if what I just said sounds sarcastic, it's not, I meant what I said)

Don't they use wickets in croquet? Anyway, to my beloved fellow Satch Surfers, tonight I embark on one of the most profound and serious endeavors of my life, one that is wrought with uncertainties & unknown repercussions. Starting tonight, I am going to attempt to learn the Crushing Day solo (my all time fave) from beginning to end, without the aid of tablature, just my "slow it down but keep the pitch" software. I know, I must be insane. I feel that it is something that I must do. I've always felt that if I could play that solo, then I will have arrived as a guitar player. I will not be posting to this site henceforth until my journey is complete, until I can play every note, every nuance of this solo EXACTLY as Joe plays it. Wish me well, my friends, and I thank you for your love and support.

Ya Yo Gakk - just thought I'd mention that you've come a long way from your spamming days around the time of Crystal Planet... You still instigate one or two arguments these days, but bravo for cleaning up your act and proving to be more mature. You actually give some insight these days. Talk to you later.

No way - Joe's music on Dr. Joy Brown - now that's too much. I wonder if it was her call. Too bad about Eddie. All those years of chain smokin' finally caught up. I saw that live G3 thing for the first time the other day. Joe, that thing you do on Cool #9 with your right hand on the neck is unreal. Only you could do something so completely atonal and yet have it work so perfectly.
So Eric, you're a lefty? That's cool. Man, we need more lefties in this world. THen the guitar companies would actually make more guitars for us backwards players.
HI Joe ,a little question,I showed your concert in Seatle by the net,it was a good idea!!I'm french and I want to say me how did you meet Patrick Rondat and how find you his play?
someone on napster and now chrome dude says eddie van halen has tongue cancer..... so that means dont smoke kiddies......maybe he got it from talking too much s*it possibly...
Thats crazy hey man!! well what do you know the place survives !! again today wild, man but how long will it survive for ??who knows only al knows why anyways obviously it made it today sometimes it sounds crazy but thats the way its supposed to be man anyways later wolfie.
Gabi - I would agree if the list wouldn't be about skill, but impact in the "guitar world" if you can call it that. In my opinion, Joe has better skills than Hendrix, but if you look at the impact that he had at the time, there is no way that Joe can even come close to comparing to Hendrix. This is the main reason why Joe isn't at the top of anyone's all time guitarist lists. They are not based on skill. I mean seriously, do you think that AC/DC's Angus Young (I think thats his name) Is better than Joe? Of course, This is just my opinion. I could be wrong! - Andrew
GABI - nice try and I KNOW it's all subjective but you forgot Uli Roth (best of the Scorpions)(!), Albert King (blues), Blind Willie Johnson (blues) and many more...George Lynch...Warren DiMartini...anyway nice on the D'Jango, but, Larry Lelonde might be misplaced on this list....
Ooops! I mean Outbound--Outland is where you go into

Hello Joe, I just picked up your new CD, sounds great!! Infact I went back to the store and picked up a few more of your CD's. "The Extremist" is one I like a lot. Any chance of you and EVH getting together for a track? That would turn some (ears) heads. Do you ever listen to the Wheather Channel? They have some cool music. Say hello to Stu, I'm a bass player too. - Kevin
Hey everyone and especially enthusiastic HELLO!!! to the man himself. I was actually lucky enough to attend the show in Seattle in person and I can't say enough about what a great show it was. To relive the moment I just watched the webcast archive after some trouble getting quicktime to work, even over DSL connection it was still choppy, the sound was great but the video was broken up. Since all the footage is recorded I think putting a video out would be easy and well recieved. Like I said even after being there I would still pay good money to buy a copy. I hope this is "in the works" and im sure everyone in here agrees with me. Thanks for the best show I've ever seen and I wish you the best of luck in Europe.
YAYO: Hey man, Joe was in the studio doing 'Surfing' at the same time as
Blue Oyster Cult, and they traded their studio time for his contribution to
'Imaginos', specifically 'Les Invisibles', I think, and 'I Am the One You
Warned Me Of'. Very 'Surfing'-esque. Later
To Ya Yo Gakk...Dreamuing #11 was originally released on the five song "Joe Satriani" EP he put out in 1984. He re-used the name of the song for his 1988 disk, simply because he never thought that the original song would ever reach teh ears of the public (his record company refused at the time to publish it). Hope I answered your question. Kudos!
Hey, at least Gabi's posts make sense. BTW, Gabi, check out Ron Thal and Joe Bochar - they are two excellent instrumental guitarists that unfortunately don't get much press.
Goodday Mates,
let's see if we can break a record, shall we?
A whole day with posts that MAKE SENSE.

dantheman: As embarrassed as I am to admit it it's "the Dr Joy Brown show" It's the only station I get clearly. Se's a great psychologist and yes, I'm being sarcastic. GABI: you forgot one of the most important guitarists ever. STEVE MORSE. Also as mentioned Pat metheny. Trevor Rabin, Steve Howe(Yes) Reeves Gabrel(tin machine) The guy from Phish (who's name escapes me)Just so you know alphabetically means by last name not first. Haven't you ever been to a record store? Hope to hear from you soon Joe and that everything's great.
Hey mattic, can't you read it says that they are in alphabetical order. So Ace isn't number one, he is only listed that way because his name starts with an A. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
GABI did you make up that list??? if you did, you're a moron. Yes, a MORON. Ace Frehley at #1, and Paco de Lucia at #73????? HA!!!!! talk about screwed up.
Ah, yes. I see that none other than the illustrious GABI got the posting bug overnight! His posts are actually MORE difficult to read than wolf's or cherries'. I've noted that GABI's posting style resembles a small volcano- you hear a few rumblings every now and then, then all of a sudden, BAM! Eruption (no disrespect to EVH). Gabi, please explain to me why you must place a string of ======= at random intervals throughout all your posts. I have to do an Easter egg hunt just to find the next line to read. Oh, yeah, I'm still waiting for am answer to my razor question:)! ...talkin' 'bout the BIGBABOON...
Can anyone tell me how to,get in touch with the webmaster for this site, or how smeone stuck in the middle of nowhere can get a copy of Additional Creations?
Gabi, you forgot: Charlie Christian, Ry Cooder, Steve Cropper, Wes Montgomery, and Francisco Tarrega to name a few.
And you forgot Pat Metheny, John Scofield, and Bill Frisell...Shame on you for that.
Oh yeah: Duane Allman, George Benson, George Thorogood, Joe Walsh, Don Felder, Lindsey Buckingham, Jeff Healey
These are just a sample of who you have left off.
Dear God, get rid of: Joe Perry, James Hetfield, Paul Gilbert, Peter Buck and Richie Sambora among others.
In short, your list kinda sucks. And please, spare us from reposting the revised version.
You know what man im getting real sick of ,cop crap i tell yeah what lets do it like this trap players gun to city chief head ,and cashier and gun to b.g, head and both of them withme while robbing joints nice hey!or we can do another real live miami heat on george hey what do you think dead pigs everywere civilians wasted get a brain im thinking man.

at music midtown in atlanta georgia, 5/05-5/07,you were giving autographs at a warehouse music stand. when i got up to you i shook your hand, got your autograph, and a signature pick, and then i asked you if i could have one of your guitars. you said "sure, go grap one. they're right up there" and pointed to the 96rock stage. however, i couldnt go grap one because joe walsh was playing, and i couldnt get close enough either. i stayed for the concert which was one AWESOME concert.when it ended i tried to force my way close to the stage, but when i got there you had already gotten on the bus and was leaving. so i asked some staff members to give me one of the guitars, and they said you handed them out personally. please respond to DarthPaul00@aol.com
i'm really looking foward to that guitar you said i could have. i know you can spare one guitar to a big fan that needs a decent guitar. im a very serious player. and really I need that guitar. thanks

michelle & andrew (Andrew M): they have played Satch and Vai at every NHL All star game for the past 4-5 yrs. I wish they would keep the explosions down so we could hear them!lol I agree it totally blows my mind when I hear Satch out of "context". I listen to a talk radio show at work and they play "Love thing" as the segway(sp?) music. It caught me by surprise at first and gave me a new respect for the show.8Þ

Joe - was over at a friends house today. He popped a video in the VCR of you in the studio recording the '95 release. Boy, that Glyn Johns guy was a pain in the neck, eh? Manu Katche is a radical dude though. I've said it before, I'll say it again, please record with that guy again!!! My friend is a big Vai fan. I'm sorry, but his music just doesn't do a thing for me. As far as the Wolfcherries debate, I say leave 'em alone. This page seems to be therapeutic for, um, it. Not that you would, Joe, but don't waste your money on "Dinosaurs". YAWN! Standard Disney slop, the good-looking hero, the pretty love interest, the wise-cracking sidekick, the evil bad guys, the triumph over seemingly insurmountable odds...There is a creative famine at Disney, let me tell you. They could probably use your help. I wish they would do a Satriani-Fantasia thing. That would be too good to be true. To Michelle and others, I remember 60 minutes or 20/20 or one of those shows using "New Blues" as a backdrop for this story about a down-and-out ex-jock. That was a few years back, maybe '98 or so. Anybody remember that?
Sorry everybody, I know this is not about Joe, put please bare with me...it's VERY important to me. I'm just wanting to ask any of you out there who post/visit here if you know a guy named Jason who just got out of jail in Oregon. I know it's very vague, but that's really all I have right now. The reason I'm asking is that he just ran away with (basically kidnapped) a good friend of mine. Further more, he ruined one of the best things that has happened in my life in quite a long time. It's a long story, which I'm sure none of you want to hear, so I won't go into great detail. But the girl he ran off with has blonde hair, grey/green eyes, and is about 5'7". Her name is Julia. They could be headed down towards California. I live near Vancouver, B.C., so they are probably not down there yet, but if you have ANY info on this, anything at all, PLEASE mail me. Thanks alot for listening. Sorry Joe.
Hey joe ,hey man how are you what aday man i think that wolf2 might need to put a cetain more than apparent, shining, hot chic in his dream world., wolf told me she use to go to work and hang out with him and be cool ,he did say that he tryed to get the chic out of her bogus!seen and check his out like more than a year ago i think that if wolfie was to ask this chic out again, and even if she did have a boyfried which she doenst she should tell him to beat it!.I dont know man what he should do really but from what it sounds like she knew she was gonna be out there looking mint ,.I say he goes for it man like she likes to have fun man ,need more fun excitment amalgamation ,ann!or she could be cool i dont know joe will see what he does ,however that would probably throw a dapner into the 5 hotel rooms man ,ok man i seen her to joe very nice man, anyways better quit talking about wolfs prospects and putting her in his reality, dreamworld ,cherries
I got another one Michelle - 1998 NHL All Star Game. They played Lights of Heaven during the starting lineup. That was really cool. I was freaking out. I was like, "Holy Sh*t! They're playing Lights of Heaven!" Got any others? - Andrew
Hey ANDREW, that was cool, wasn't it! Best part of the game (IMHO). Last night during the Coca-Cola 600 (Nascar) they were playing Summer Song. I love to hear Joe's music when I'm not expecting it. It cranks the adrenaline up a notch! It was extra cool to hear something from EOC too! peace** hi M&M
To Joe Satriani....Just wanted to let you know that my e-mail address has changed. My new e-mail address is: prog@joegann.com. Talk to you later, after I have time to catch up on reading the messages. Kudos.
Hi... Just one other message from the "by someone called" "GANG OF PORTUGAL". As Alexandre said, we are a little said... We don't have any news about a possible concert in Portugal... We are already trying to discover how to buy tickets to the Spanish concerts, but that is going to be very expensive...and we didn't find yet how to buy them.... You are great and from must of us this would be the concert of our lifes (until now)... Buy and I hope that us, the "GANG OF PORTUGAL", aren't messing this "talk to Joe Page", as it's being sugested by some so called Joe fans. ---------- By the way: Stu, we are waiting your solo here in Portugal!!!!!
Hey zeus, good point. I don't know which is more annoying: wolf, or people complaining about wolf. And now that I've complained about the complainers, the very fabric of time may collapse ... or maybe Jon will just say "ahhhh ... fresh page". ======= Hey Joe, how about a comment on this wolfie B.S. when you get around to making a post? If you ask him to stop going on about the details of his make-believe world (we all know he's never left the insane asylum), then maybe he will spare us from that garbage. ======= Michelle, funny stuff. Keep it up. : )
Joe, Stu, you guys are the best! I am a musician as well and you are a huge inspiration to me and my friends. I only ask one thing...... to come and play a gig in Newfoundland! If you need a place to stay you can crash at my place. Food, booze anything you want is on me. You haven't rocked untill you played on the rock! Newfoundland and the friendly people here are craving a Satch concert.
Ok - So I'm watching the Lakers game. It's half time and they are doing a special on Glen Rice. What do I hear in the background? It's Until We Say Goodbye. Your music is getting more and more popular Joe! - Andrew

Hi Joe! I'm very satisfied for your New CD Engines Of Creation, and I hope that you come soon to México, 'cause there're many people that are proud to listening you. I already have listened to Steve Vai some years ago playing here in México City, and believe me it was an amazing experience. Now I only hope that you visit us. O.K.
I send you greetings to all of your teamwork.
Hey all, Joe, Stu, Jeff, and the man behind the name of webmaster. Been very busy with my own work so I haven't had time to check out the site. I haven't even kept up e-mail with friends. Have to say a couple things though, After getting some extended listening to Crystal Planet and Engines of Creation, I would like Joe to know that they are right up there with his other CD's. Just a different style and feel to them. Nice. Stu: Wow, good to see you posting here man, when I got my first chance to see Joe here in the Minnesota area I also was introduced to his supporting musicians, namely you and Jeff. nice job both of you. I wish I could have seen you while you were here this year. Hey Mr Webmaster, Nice work here on the site. I think that a 1 post per 4 hour interval has some limitations and might dis-courage those of us who try to post constructively BUT, I am willing to live by it. Happy Memorial day to all. Keep the peace.... -- Wild Will
Xrob I realise Joe is busy but if he could just post a lesson when ever possible it would start to add up eventually not to mention like you said earlier he could have some one else post the lessons for him.As for the book I never heard of it till I read your post but it has gone straight to the top of my want list.I'll keep an eye out for it now. Thanks for the info btw.And Stuuu the B3 tour would be awesome if you got Billy Sheehan and Les Claypool.Just make sure you stop here in Raliegh North Carolina and I'll be there for sure.

one post? write soooon pleas
Hey Joe, thanks for reading this for starters mate :)! I've been playing the
guitar for about five years (well seriously on and off), and being the late
comer that i am, i just recently listened to Mr Vai's stuff, and i was really
impressed. So then i started learning his music, and then i started getting
into other music such as yourself. U are the magic in the steel man. My
favourite song is cryin, and i'm learning how to play it now, but still having
difficulties. But anyway, i guess what i want to tell u is that i want to
thank u for really explaining what music means. I mean, music has always
been the centre of my life (aside from God), and mate, u truly show me the
purist essence of the electric guitar. I feel so much alive now, playing your
stuff, and Steve's, and i'm also taking an eclectic approach to this as well.
But u know what the downside is though, everytime i think that i'm improving,
which i am; everytime i see someone else play it's like, i feel so crap,
because i feel my playing isn't really that great. But hey, i guess all i
can do is keep playing and playing until my fingers bleed and drop off right
:)?
Well i know that you're a very busy musician, so hey keep moving me (and us)
with your six string aight :)?

HELLO JOE, STU, ERIC AND JEFF. THE PORTUGUESE FANS ARE A LITTLE DESAPOINTED AND SAD BECAUSE WE DON`T HAVE AN ANSWER ABOUT A POTENCIAL CONCERT IN LISBON. TO SEE YOU, JUST ONLY IN SPAIN, SO FAR WAY AND EXPENSIVE. AND WE DON`T KNOW HOW TO DO TO HAVE THE TICHETS FOR SPAIN MADRID - LA RIVIERA. BUT BELIVE IN ME, THE PORTUGUESE FANS RESPECT YOUR MUSIC SO MUCH, YOU ARE VERY APRECIATED BY US.
BEST WISHES FOR ALL
ALEXANDRE

Hi Joe ! I've checked your tour dates and I saw you'll come in France. But I didn't saw any date in Toulouse. You used to come here in the past (for "The Extremist" and "Joe Satriani"). Why don't you come again ? There is a new Zenith you know with a great sound ! Please come here !
Just a comment before I leave : I think "Engines of Creation" is a good album but not the best. For your next album please don't make techno !
See you soon (I hope). Tonio

Joe, I don't know if you read my last post, but I hope you did. I guess all the people not living in the continental USA would agree that it would be nice to have a contest for some of those killer Ibanez guitars and a private guitar lesson from you to be held that would allow everyone to join, even those outside the continental USA. Could you also give me one of your picks and some pictures? I know that I have to mail your management... but I would like to request it from you personnally. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The address is: 8-B Cirilo St. Isidora Hills Subd. Diliman, Q.C. Metro Manila, Philippines. Extras to help me with guitar technique and theory would also be appreciated.
Stu, one of my friends loves playing the bass. Actually, he just got a fretless bass. I'm sure that he would like to have a pick from you and also some pics. Just send it to my address and I'll forward it to him.
Thanks in advance.

HA! HA! Only one person uses the word "wicket" and THAT is wolf2!! Your snagged dude! Give it up! I know your having fun, but by taking up all this room on Joe's page, your being disrespectful to everyone else. You and cherries always post at the same time too. Dude, your not fooling anybody. Geez, even newbies can figure that out! There's only one wolf, lets keep it that way and ditch the alter egos. You keep pushing your limits and Mr Webmaster just might snag your Z cruisin' B-hind right outta here! Just stating the obvious, man! No cement pants for me please. They make my thighs look fat :)

ZENN does joe play on the whole album? hey joe i had this wierd dream (now no one laugh)where stu lived 3 doors away from me and had this kickass pad and was like a pimp, then you were playing another show at humphrey's only it wasnt advertised or anything (like private or something) and you were playing hendrix tunes, then after the show you were showing some people some stuff on the guitar so i went home and got mine and came back then you said to me "ok give us an F#" but it wasnt plugged in so you had your hand to your ear and were like "i cant hear it" so then you just decided to show us some stuff then you signed some autographs and we were asking you questions about the gig and you told us eric had to play drums/rythm/keyboards (its a dream man) and we asked where stu was and you didnt answer but you said someone named doug was playing bass......never found out what happened to jeff man, it was wierd.....
Hey Jeff.. Back in 92-93 i recorded Red House at your house in Benicia with Mike Williams, he was my guitar teacher at the time, i stopped taking lesons from him a few weeks after that recording session and never got my copie of the final product...I've tried to sort it out with him but he's not to much help.. Mabe its to far feched to think you have some kind of old archives at your house and you could just dig it up...My name is Jody McCord, and im 22 now, first time on this site...But hey if you cant find it, dont loose sleep over it..It was just a bit of history that i dont have.. thanks ...Jody
Wow, I leave the computer for just a short while, then turn it back on, and whaaaaammmo - all this new information, about "Outbound" cd coming out late August (I'm getting it, Stu!). And I like the website, FavoredNations...cool. I hope everyone is getting a much deserved break now. Looks like Europe is going to be exhausting but fun. Gonna try and make the Paris gig at the Olympia. Philly show was awesome (huh, Michelle?), and I can't get enough. Just came from a road trip and played ALL Satch cd's going and coming....
Hello Joe !!!
I would like to say that YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!

Remember please We ( The Polish Fans )expect YOU in Poland !!!! Is it possible?????

Stu,
Great to see you on the message board! I love your music, both w/ Joe, Steve Vai, and your solo work. I bought "Radio Free Albemuth" a long time ago, as someone told me Joe guest-starred on the album. I figured anything that Joe would put his name on has got to be good, and I wasn't dissapointed. BTW, if you need someone to play some "power chords" on your next album, I'd be up for it!! :)
Also wanted to say you ROCKED at Joe's concert in DC! I especially liked your live rendition of Down, Down, Down (the whole band rocked on this one along with the live version of Borg Sex and Cool #9, and your freakin' amazing bass solo was without a doubt the highlight of the show).
P.S. - Have you ever heard Gary Hoey's bass player (Tony Franklin)? He has a very cool "rubbery" sound. You probably know him, but just wanted to let you know about him if you hadn't.
HI(gh)!
To be brief! Joe, you still rock, but Engines are pure and unbelievable C R A P!
No offence, i think can afford myself such a bitter thing to say because i'm with you &your music since I remember, sorry Engines just sucks! Make another Crystal Planet! And one more thing, I asked you once to come to Croatia(Eastern Europe), so I'm expecting you this Sommer/Fall! See ya dude!
I've loved your music since I bought "Not of This Earth" in '86. I've been
listening intently to "Engines of Creation" and while in many ways it is a
brilliant piece of work, there is something about it that bugs me. I can see
what you are doing - pushing the boundaries - but I feel that what the album
prooves more than anything else is that your music is too human to sit happily
with the drum machine and programmed backing. With "Crystal Planet" and "Engines
of Creation" you've proved that you can make this fusion work and all credit to
you, I'm just not convinced that it is an avenue which you need to explore in
any greate
hi people just a few things. (1) webmaster, you're doing a great job, keep it up :) (2) joe we all can't wait for you to come play in London, i'll be right at the front with my "surfing" tshirt on that my bro got me when you played at Royal Albert Hall a few years back. can't wait!!! see you soon. and keep making great music!
eyesy
Hey wolf2 and cherries, you two sound like a couple of retards. I can't tell if cherries is making fun of wolf2 or what. Yeah we watch that vid and it ok but she was grabing me like crazy but that ok man. What the hell is that!!!???
YaYo: Vai did play on the 'Compact Disc' album by Pil, and it's immediately
recognizable as him. I recall an interview where he said he went out to
dinner with John Rotten (Rotten TV RULES!!!) and John blew snot all over
the table while ordering. Vai added, 'now there's a real punk for you.' His
playing is similar to that on Passion and Warfare, very 'out' compared to
the Alcatrazz record and Roth. Check it out, the record would be great even
without Vai. Thought you'd like to know; what about Vai on the Shankar
record? I have not heard that. Have you heard Joe on 'Imaginos' by Blue
Oyster Cult? Now that stuff is great! Peace out
FIGHT SPAM ON THIS BOARD
i am very diappointed i did'nt saw your show on may 19 because i'm very far from your country ..
by the way when will you give your show to my country ? (indonesia)
can i get your poster ?
hey wolf2 get a life! I really wish you had something interesting to say instead of all that mumbo jumbo!!!!! Save some space for someone else. Maybe even joe one of these days!!!!!!!I don't post here very often, but when I do all I see is your stuff on the site.I thought this was a Joe Satriani site not a wolfie site!!!!!!later.mark the harp

I heard an Mp3 a while back that I believe featured Mr Satriani on guitar. It was a very different Satch piece as I recall, it had Joe soloing briefly, then gave way to a vocal choir group, which carried most of the tune's length, then Joe soloed the remainder, it was really enchanting, and I am not CERTAIN that it was Joe's work, so pardon any incorrect reference, but if anyone knows anything about this mysterious piece, I'd be happy to know more about it. ******* Cheers.
JOEIE,CONCRETE BLONDE.Hey joe i heard wolfs friend ,gees what her name man?oh yeah! karen play the live version of the summersong !man! off the g3 disc man it was awsome man,hey has wolfie been around yet man?you know im gonna throw the g3 video in right now and watch that right now live in my livivng room man thank man !ille find wolf in abit then will cruise by later cherries.

It is with shame and embarassment that I relate the following. I have listened to your music since 1988 or so, I still remember the first time I heard "Satch Boogie", I buy your CD's on the day they are released, I spend hours with my "CD Looper" program trying to learn your licks, I giddily watched the webcast, etc. I'm even considering shaving my head & wearing dark sunglasses all the time. (Just kidding) I consider myself to be a serious fan of your music, I listen to my Satch CD's again and again. BUT - Until just a couple of weeks ago, I never had bought or even heard the "Not of This Earth" release. Yes, I know. What was I thinking about? I had known about it for a long time, I just never got around to buying it. Isn't that weird? I have listened to it maybe 5 times now, and I LOVE it! If anybody out there reads this and realizes that they are in the same quandry that I was in up until a couple of weeks ago, please, do yourself a favor. Make your Satch library complete. GET THIS CD! It rules! Please forgive me Joe, for this grievous error.
Hey Joe hope you are enjoying your off time with your family, I was just wondering if there are plans for a g3 tour this year, I missed you at Luther Burbank hope to see ya later in the summer later MARK B ........
Joe..wusup with your chatroom??? I thought I was being cool but i quess not.Got a lot of bad feedback...I changed pedals...I'm sorry...some people read it as distortion.Talk to me "crome dome"....or is that racist too?
hey stu.....B3 should be You, Bootsy and Randy Coven if he is still around.....peace man, your solos are insane! hey joe steve stevens for G3 man! or yngwie, peace....
HEY Jeff Campitelli I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! I have been wondering since you came to the warfield in San Fransico what your cymbal setup was. I have been trying to reach anyone and even wrote letters to your cymbal company requesting a cymbal setup but know on so far has come through. I really though you put on a clinic when you played and I though you were in the zone. I could see a big chchange in the way you played from the last tour. You just blew me away with such dynamics and percison. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN U TELL ME....Your greatest fan CHRIS STAGNARO :)
HI MASTER SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH BECAUSE I AM FROM FYROM BUT I HOPE THAT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ME
I LIKE YOU VERU MUCH AND IM A GUITAR PLAYER . BY THE WAY MY NAME IS VLADO
Hey Stu thanks for responding to my post and other people's posts as well! If there is a B3 I will certainly be looking forward to it... You'll have to send me some backstage passes for it too, hehehehe. I see the "Rubber guitar man" signed again... That guy was hilarious! He helped entertain me while waiting 4 hours before the Philly show. Catch everyone later, and rock on everyone! I look forward to Joe's next post as well as Jeff and Eric's first posts, and, of course, the one and only STUUUUUUUU. Later.
Thanks for dropping us a note STUUUU. B3? Step to it. Maybe Billy would tote his buddy Paul G? Stick him on the piano (still shredding) for a lark? Looks more like Secret Studios than "Fantasy" - ya know, down by McCune? - in that shot; but, what do I know?
Hey Joe, The show in Vancouver was great. Thanks for signing the stuff
at the autograph signing session. It was good to meet you, if only for a
second. It must be kinda strange meeting all these people that know your
work and love what you've done for guitar and not be able to really get to
know any of them well. Also hearing the same compliments over and
over again, I guess it feels good but still you must get tired of it? Well, if it
was not for your guitar playing I would have most likely put the instrument
down not knowing where the journey of sound could take me. OK, so you
had to hear it one more time...Ro
Joe, Stu, you guys are the best! I am a musician as well and you are a huge inspiration to me and my friends. I only ask one thing...... to come and play a gig in Newfoundland! If you need a place to stay you can crash at my place. Food, booze anything you want is on me. You haven't rocked untill you played on the rock!
How are you doing? The site is great the only thing wrong is those pointless posts put up by people, who will remain nameless, that just take up precious space. Anybody that doesn't like what I just said can e-mail a complaint to me. To end on a good note. Joe, the song "Rubina" is just amazing!!! I love it!
hey guys!
Enjoy your time off the road, relax and all that good stuff.
Thank STU for dropping us all a line, it's nice to know you are reading our posts. Now if we can just get certain people to start posting messages worth reading............oooooh........
Hey all. Hey stu! you rule the 4-string! all we need is Jeff to start posting...an excellent drummer if i do say so myself. quite an inspiration for me. Well hope you all keep rocking, and i think i'll have to check out Stu's new album, too. A bassist good enough to have his own albums you know is good! :) keep rocking Joe, Eric, Jeff, and Stu. not to mention the webmaster, this place is so cool!
Has anyone noticed that Stu has been here more in the last two days than Joe has in 2 months? Now we just have to get Eric and Jeff to post, and of course Joe himself.
Hey Stuart...I remember that you and jeff went to Los Medonos College in Pittsburg,California...Are you going to perform in bay area again???? say hi to Arnie in BillGrahamPresents..I know him in real life..I used to know him and his family back in late 80's...they're cool family...gotta goo...peace..Danny

Hey Joe. I went to the show at the Hammerstein in NYCity. It was absolutely amazing!!! You sounded phenomenal...as did Stu, Jeff, and Frenchy. The set was a total MONSTER! I haven't grooved like that in a long time. After I got home, I wrote down the setlist...27 freakin' songs if you include Hammy's bass solo. Unreal. I brought along a "first time" Satch concert-goer. This dude was absolutely floored. He had never seen anything like it. Of course, I've had the pleasure of the experience SEVEN times now. This one could have been the best! You guys are TOO MUCH! Keep on rockin'. Regards. (PS: I can't hear any sound on the QuickTime webcast archive. WHHHAAASSSSUUUUUPPPP???)
hey Joe.....where are the pictures from Back stage in New Orleans that were taken of all of us? Sage said he would send them to the web master but I havent seen them. The web master has been really busy I am sure. Have a great weekend......and Stu....why didnt you drop in the chat room and say hello to us this morning? Maybe next time???Nice to meet you in New Orleans!...Twig

Gather 'round, fellow disciples of the Church of Satrianism...Pastor Prog is back in the house. Sorry I've been such a stranger lately. Unlike @ssholes like "wolf" and "cherries" (who I believe are actually the same person), I actually have a life! I've been slaving away at two jobs lately. Anyway, here we go... *** To "webmaster"...your idea of the 4-hour limit is cool. It's just a shame that people like the above mentioned have to ruin the experience for the rest of us. Working officially or not, I will abide by the 4-hour limit out of respect. *** To "dantheman"...if you like the "twangy" country guitar thing, check out the Satch track "The Phone Call" from "Flying In A Blue Dream". that song is loaded with it...with an unexpected electric solo right in the middle. I love country music! I think it's one of the coolest songs he ever did! A shame it's so underrated. *** To "Bubba500"..."Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness" is a cool song, too, and loaded with emotion. Listening to it brings tears to my eyes. *** To "Ya Yo Gakk"...Robin Trower rules!!! Screw Malmsteen! His playing is all speed and flash, with no emotion. Next G3 tour...Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Robin Trower. I'd kill for the tickets!!!!! By the way...your "Houston" comment earlier was funny as hell. Made my week! *** To "michelle"...nice to read that you dug my rubber guitar playing at the Philly show. "Glad I could make your day." *** To Joe Satriani...missed the webcast. Me and the cohort Joe gave up after trying to get the site up for two hours with no luck. Another vote for a VHS of the Philly show! By the way, (my friend) Joe's web address has changed. His artwork can now be viewed at www.joegann.com. One of his pictures, "Pyramia" is the precursor to my album cover. We're still going to add a sphinx, an obelisk, the album name ("I"), and my logo. As always, your music continues to inspire me, amongst others...Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Michael Lee Firkins, Jens Johannsen, Keith Emerson, Ozric Tentacles, just to name a few. May you rock on forever and a year. Fellow brethren, may Joe be with us always. The mass has ended. Go in peace!
Hey Joe - I can't believe no one has suggested this! Mato Nanji for G3! The guitarist from Indigenous. Their new album is incredible. I highly recommend it for any SRV or Hendrix fan! This guy is incredible! - Andrew
Hey guys, I haven't had time to post anything in a while. But I want to say the shows in Anahiem and L.A. were awesome! I loved them. I want to know if you did any recording either audio or video on this passed tour? I wish you did. Borg Sex live was flippin' awesome. Overall I love the live stuff. Take care guys. REUBEN MARTINEZ
Let's see...I DO like Guinness....I thought I played pretty well in Toronto, the crowd was so quiet I could really play with the silence..I like Flea's playing, but I met him once and he totally blew me off...oh well..B3, let's do it ! Vic Wooten, maybe Billy Sheehan , Les would be a blast...Otiel, there are lot's of great cats. Gonna tour "Outbound" when it comes out, maybe we'll coordinate some b3 if there's interest.C-Ya.
Joe,
I was wondering where on this site could I find tabs on some if not all of your songs. I enjoy trying to play summer song and always with me, always with you but cant seem to get it all correct. Thanks for your inspiration and helop.
Joe from Colorado (colojoe)
Dear Joe,
I just can't believe it : ZZdrop is sick and you would not come to Belgium ??
Why won't you play your complete show at 'Vorst Nationaal' or better ... at the 'Ancien Belgique' in Brussels ??? (Ask Steve Vai, he loved it, and so did we !!!) The surfing aliens want to see their leader ...
What kind of drum-machine and bass-machine was used on "Engines of Creation"? OR was it all made on computer? in that cae, what application was used and on what kind of a machine (mac/pc) ?
Want to see Joe’s music generated in a realtime screensaver; it does this based on the sound it can hear either CD or MP3 etc. Download for Windows 95/98 only - then check this link http://www.geisswerks.com/
HEY STU, THIS WOULD BE THE ABSOLUTE BEST B3, HERE WE GO!!! STUUUUUUUUU(HAHAHA), LES CLAYPOOL(PRIMUS), GEDDY LEE(RUSH)!!!!! FLEA'S OK BUT I JUST CAN'T STAND RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS!!!!!! HOPE I DON'T OFFEND ANYBODY WITH THAT!!!!!!!!! THE BIG GREEN BOOOOGER!!!!!!!!!
HEY _ TRUE GUITAR FANS!!! To find out about the TRUE new messiah of blues rock guitar, got to "www.chrisduartegroupfans.org" ! CHRIS DUARTE is the REAL DEAL!!! Do yourself a HUGE favor and GO SEE 'EM LIVE!!! Trust me - you will NOT be disappointed!!! Just ask Satch!!!
I agree with you too, shell. But our opinions can't be forced upon others, that's what this country's all about man. We have to play by freedom of speech rules. So I basically just ignore all posts that are obviously from wolfie. Sometimes I read them, but not very often. ======= The 4-hour thing is a great idea, that way we'll only have to skip past 3 posts from wolf every 4 hours instead of 10 or more (at times). And 4 hours isn't too long to wait if the rest of us want to make multiple posts (if we have something to say). So turn the thing on already, webmaster! ======= ps. and the obligatory "HI JOE!!"
HEY, JOE!! HEY, STU!! Let me take you WHITEWATER RAFTING!! I just took my 4 year old son last weekend. In fact his name is Joe. Now I give you the part I took him on was very easy, but if he can do it you can. By the way if anyone out there has concern for my son, I was a commercial guide for 14 years and have been boating for 20. What I took him on was safer than an amusement park. See ya!!
.L.A.boys with expensive toys!......living in a form of sin...hes got a wife she far from nice exploit quenn of the city...!!I dont want your big city shining ,i dont want your silver lining !I dont want to be a tattoed millionaiar. booboo!!im the clean workin it no tats miliionair type. but i do know you.

Stu! Great to see the rest of the band get on here! I met you here in Birmingham, Alabama about four years ago, got your signed strings... recently I was the guy on the third row center in Atlanta that was doing the Hawaiian "hang loose" sign at you all night and was laughing hysterically when you almost dumped on your cord twice. Truly a Kodak moment. Loved the show, love the way you play, love to see you and Joe still touring together. Both of you are tremendous inspirations to me. Thank you.
Hey JOE, Tell me PLEASE that my friends weren't lying to me:
¿IS IT TRUE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE A SUPER G3 WITH YNGWIE MALMSTEEN AND STEVE VAI OR JOHN PETRUCCI AND STEVE VAI?
THANKS
PaGe
I was just a the site Stu recommended and it's great! Gregg Bissonette has a new c.d. out called SUBMARINE which includes the likes of Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Gary Hoey, and others!! It sounds great!! Go check it out! I blew the dust off my credit card and ordered it already...it's THAT good! THANKS FOR THE TIP STU! ~~~FavoredNations.com peace**
Hey there Stu! Awesome solo at the Philly show back in April!!! And great job overall - once again, thanks for the pick! It's about to be framed with the autographed setlist. I stayed after and got to meet you and shake your hand and stuff, that was awesome. It was great meeting everyone, of course. Stu, consider B3 as an opener to G3 - you, Wooten, and, uh, someone else but I don't know who. Maybe a B2? Hehehe, or just make an album. Ok enough suggestions from me, I'll shut up now. Later.
Here is an idea for the message board. Split the window in frames so when a member of the band and webmaster posts a message it is at one section, and the rest are in another.
better now mr. luini......still stalin-like but better than the 12 hour thing, i have a feeling rants are gonna be much bigger with a time cap though......anyone see lars crying on msnbc? "you can tape our live shows just dont use napster" i think not ulRICH, hey i wonder how mike maas is digging his new metallica mp3's........
Hey, cool, the others can now post messages. This page keeps getting better all the time. I wish I could have seen Joe play at Grand Rapids Michigan. Oh well, have to try next time I guess. If any one would like to know how to play the cool arpegios in the song power cosmic 2000 I now how. If anyone would like to learn them please let me know.
CHECK THIS OUT!! I was just at cduniverse.com and seen they had THE SATCH TAPES for $8.17! Thing is, it's not in stock (backorder). They DO have the G3 video in stock for $8.26!!! Man, that would make a great Father's Day present, or last day of school present, or just cause I want it present!! Cheap too! I paid more than that for both of mine. These two videos are MUST HAVES! Go get 'um!
hey guys,, what's with all the negativity towards wolf and cherry and our longer posters? just because they have something to say and we "may not" understand it doesn't mean they shouldn't post anymore. i always thought it was fun trying to decypher what it says. . . keep the peace!! joe, band, webmaster, keep the good work up!! leon 8-]
Hey Joe. Man, you should've come to Louisville on your tour. I'd make all my friends come see you so I could prove to them that you are second to none. It would be a trip to see you play all that techno stuff live. You're a great guitar player. You better than Gumby dammit. Come to Louisville next time.
Hey, fellow fans. Heard today that Joe has some sort of instructional video out there (on VHS)...possibly has been out for awhile. I haven't seen anything like this, but would appreciate any leads on where to find it. Drop me a line if you have any info. Thanks. gtsanders@hotmail.com
ok..this is for wolf2(and Cherries!...)...tell me, wolf and Cherries, do you really think that anybody here is the least bit interested in the GARBAGE that you keep posting on to this site?
You do know that it is garbage, dont you, a load of completely incomprehensible ELEPHANT DUNG......
This site is for comments to Joe Satriani, and it is for the fans of Joe Satriani & co.
Dont you think that you are disrespecting both Joe Satriani , the rest of the band , and the other fans, by using this site as your personal GARBAGE BIN?
If i dont hear a chorus of disapproval to what i have written here, i will assume that the majority of people who post here and who like to read the comments agree with me.
Hey Stoo, good to hear from you, do you like Guinness? i would like to buy you a pint in Dublin on June 20th and the rest of the band, i would even consider one for that Joe fella......Later...The Hopper.

btw: thank you very much webmaster!
I've gotten a variety of emails on the time limit in postings/day and have
decided to try out only allowing one every 4 hours instead of 12 hours. Let's
see how that goes. The *best*, of course, is if everyone just gets a feel for the
what the right amount is.

Stu - I was just wondering what your opinions on a B3 are? You and Flea definately. What's your opinion on Flea? Well, just a thought....let me know! - Andrew
HEY THERE STU, YOUR WELCOME ANYTIME, I THINK YOUR BASS SOLO IN TORONTO WAS THE BEST OUT OF ALL OF THEM, BUT I GUESS YOU'D BE THE BEST JUDGE OF THAT. HAHAHA NOW IF WE COULD ONLY GET THE OTHER LAZY BAND MEMBERS TO DROP US A LINE AND LET US KNOW THEY'RE STILL BREATHING!!! HEE HEE HEE.......THE BIG GREEN BOOOOGER!!!!!
Mojo420, great idea for the lessons. But Joe's pretty busy ... so it probably won't happen. He does have a book out though "Tips and Tricks" I think that's what it's called. It's a compilation of a lot of lessons he had done for some guitar mags. It's on my list of 'things to buy'. ======= Hey, Joe. You COULD just post one of those lessons each week or month or whatever. That would be cool - and not to much trouble. Heck, just get Jon to do it (sorry, Yamboy!) : ) ======= Yayo, why don't you change your name to your real name? Everyone will take you more seriously if you don't call yourself Steve Vai.
Joe,
Just wanted to know once an for all, like everyone else, WHY DID YOU SHAVE YOUR HEAD?
Theories range from just wanting to change, to your hair greying and you wanting to get rid of it, to some sort of "new Joe" breakaway.
So, why'd ya do it?? :)
Shadowlight
Hey everybody...I'll sure try to drop in now and then. Sure is nice to be home for a while though I'm keeping busy. The release of "Outbound" has been moved back until August. Check out FavoredNations.com (PLUGPLUGPLUG) Boy, I'm shameless today...I did StuSTuStu shirts for the Urge tour in "91. We'll get some new ones going soon. Thanks for all the kind words and I'll check ya'll later!!

Mad7Man (Charles Robinson): Eddie is a great guitar player but as YaYo said he didn't invent it...YaYo I know what you're talking about it's just there is no specific term for it (that's why I called it "tapping thing")...I guess it could be called "trill tapping with the pick"...buuut that just doesn't flow 8Þ. Intead of doing trills (notes in rapid succession) all with his left hand he uses the pick and his right hand. Anyway you describe it it sound amazing.
Well, I’ve been putting off a post because there are so many entries, but decided now is as good a time as any. When I became a member back in April, there were just over 15K members. As I looked today, there are just under 20K. People are definitely getting the message that there is a tremendously cool site up on the web.
I, for one, appreciate all that Joe & his support team have done to promote his presence in the media & the Web. It’s just amazing. I never thought that any of my guitar heroes would be so accessible in my lifetime, but I guess that’s changed now.
Webmaster, your ideas for the posts are very good. People tend to take for granted all of the technology that’s been made available to them through this site. Where else can you go and have a direct & personal response to your inquiries from the guys themselves. Most artists don’t do this sort of thing, but leave it to Joe & the gang to get it up & running…always leading the way into new areas.
Stu, it was nice of you to drop in. I’ve been listening to some of your albums lately. I especially like your renditions of Bach’s Prelude in C (I play that on the piano in church all the time, and people love it), and Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata movement.
Keep up the good work, keep rockin’, & I’ll be back to post some more later (probably 12 hours or more from now).
Joe your knowledge of the guitar never ceases to amaze me and I've been checking in on your site here on a regular basis but I feel there is some thing missing.I've noticed that a lot of your fans and my self included play guitar so I was wondering/hoping you'd put up a section here with some lessons for us to learn from.Like a lesson of the week kind of thing. It's no secret you've taught some really great players but this way you could teach to the masses and make it possible for people all around the world to learn from you.

Joe, Engines of Creation was truly a remarkable creation.
Many muscians that I deal with in Ny and Philly constantly
bring you up as their guide for stage perfromance. Many were
so intrigued by the creations album and wanted to see new material
performed. I know that you are not limited to one style, but will
you have a show that will be primarily Engines of Creations based?
We had a techno/rave party and I played your stuff to club goers and each one bought your album the next day! Attack was the highlight!
Hey MICHELLE.....actually, when I told Joe that I had brought her to his show as an early birthday present, that's when he asked her when it was. When she said July 6, he looked at her and said that his was the 15th!haha! Thanks for the info Michelle:) She has not forgotten it! In fact, last night was Open House at her school and she brought home an invitation for me, and JOE! hahaha! I love it! So Joe, now all the little secong graders at my child's school know who you are:) Have a great weekend everyone!!!!
Stu: tell us again where to get your new album, Outbound. Thanks!!! It was great meeting you after the DC show! (If anyone else can tell me where to get Stu's new album, I'd appreciate it!)
C'mon everybody ~ STUUUUUUUUU! Hey Stu, how are ya! Nice of you to drop by. Hope your resting up and enjoying some time off with your family. Have you given any thought to getting your own t-shirts with the STUUUUUU theme on them? Might help out on the Stuuu/Boooo controversy. Maybe have your pretty face on the front, and STUUUU on the back? Put them up for sale on Joe's merchandise page (as soon as he gets one) and I bet they'd sell like water at Woodstock, only don't make them that expensive!(as the water). Thanks for stopping by! peace** hi M&M
Help Me! I'm seeing colors ... something must be wrong with my eyes!! : ) ======= STUUU! Glad to see one of you guys posting, maybe it'll be contagious ...
Stu! Loved your bass solo... can't wait to see it live (In Melbourne - Maybe you can give Joe a push in the right direction ie Australia). Good luck on tour! Jonathan
love your shows joe. i see you everytime your in minneapolis.
I am a bass player, (hobby) and i have stu's video's. He is
"The man"!!! So joe will you play at my wedding in september.
WOW!!!...I'M IMPRESSED THE THE INPROVEMENTS ON THE WEBSITE MR. WEBMASTER, YOU'VE BEEN EARNING YOUR KEEP MAN......I LIKE IT !!! ALOT!!! GOOD JOB!!!! WOOHOO!!! JOE AND HIS BAND ROCKS !!!!! WOOHOO!!!
no way, forget the stalin tactics of 1 post a day man.....that would suck, and no not cause i post a lot of worthless useless drivel, just block the "come to portugal" or "stevie ray vaughan rules" types from spamming.....ya yo (the real one) is off 2 sleep, catch ya l8r joe....peace man and think about steve stevens for G3....
I think limiting someone to one post every 12 hrs is a really good idea. Some people really abuse the talk to Joe section and spoil it for the rest with their useless ramblings. It would allow people who don't abuse the system
to put there point of view accross much more effectively.
I guess some people post here without being familiar with the rules .... YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SPAM!! (i.e. saying "ILOVEU,ILOVEU,ILOVEU a million times in a row!!, or posting anything using a wolf-like vocabulary!) : ) ======= You can't hide wolfie (cherries, dagger, or whatever the hell you decide to call yourself) !! ======= Hey BUBBLES, what song did he play? Did you ask him to or did he just do it? Oh, and my son is also turning 8 in July - maybe we'll have them hook up in about 10 years .... he will probably be a guitar player too. He doesn't have a REAL guitar yet, but he'll be able to use mine of course until I think he's serious enough to get his own. ======= JOE, no hurry man - update whenever you get around to it. This site rocks! ======= Webmaster, you should require a valid email address at registration time and not allow duplicates. At least that will make wolfie work a little harder for it ... : )
Joe, do you have any plans releasing a tablature book in the future??
with some of your best songs in it, just the way you play them!
this could be a very good idea... in my opinion.
L8r
MAD7MAN, eddie didnt invent it either, he ripped it off someone......cant remember who, someone told me holdsworth but im sure someone was doing it before him too.....ZEUS, i mean about the super fast tapping thing with the pick not tapping in general, hey someone said holdsworth is now a janitor (someone in chat) is that true?
EUROPEAN FANS: One of the guys from ZZ Top was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and they've cancelled their European Tour this summer...that means the date with Joe is off, but Hopefully that'll allow Joe to play longer for you guys...later.
Joe, just saw you in San Diego. Great show.
I have a serious question though. I just purchased a chrome boy( AWESOME!!)and I was wondering if you could explain the push pull pots and the pickup selector.
Hey cherries! what do yyou think about this dan the man character,i say you send the cherries to his place ,i stick the DAGGAR-IN then we feed him to wolf.....bug bait thats what you are to us shut up about wolf toilet bowl face get out of his space!! later daggars in you!
Personally, I hope that cherries really is an alter ego of wolfie's. It is significantly more frightening to imagine there being TWO people of such a similar insanity level who know each other and live in the same area. I pity their neighbors (imagine getting in a casual conversation with wolfie!). we should compile a comprehensive book containing all of wolf's posts. That would certainly make for interesting reading. Oh, and I'm still waiting for an answer to my razor question. =^D ...talkin' 'bout the BIGBABOON...
Hey dan the man ,when you talk 2 wolf2 its obvious you dont know who your talking to,you look like a size.44 ,will that fit ???i wouldnt get to mouthy with wolf man and with a name like dan how can you figure out any beautiful girls riff ........ lugan!!
Date: Thu May 25 21:57 dantheman<dkhenley@juno.com>:
um, looks like the 12 hour rule isn't being enforced much. wolf2, do you have a life at all? How did you ever afford a computer? Or do they have one in your cell at the asylum? Joe have you ever heard the song "General Lee" by
Steve Morse? It is just about the coolest country-instrumental thing I've ever heard. I'd love to hear you do a twangy, telecaster type of thing sometime on one of your albums. But you don't have to. Just a thought. I figured out the "Beautiful Girls" riff the other day. Man, that's fun to play.
Hey Joe..greetings from Charlotte NC. any chance of a visit this year...still pissed I had to miss the HOB show in Myrtle Beach. anyway, Thanks for the music and hope to see ya soon!!!
Joe - Just wanted to tell you that when I am feeling down and think I can't make it through, I listen to your music. I love it. It always makes me feel better. It allows me to deal with the what that I am going through on a daily basis. Right now I am listening to Rubina Blue Sky Happiness. I love your music. I hope that you keep coming out with new stuff to help me deal with the life that I have. I love you and will always listen to you.
I saw you at the Wiltern and at the Sun this tour. You are the greatest!
I don't even listen to much else. I need to hear you at least twice a week to help me to keep going on.
I love you
Don't ever stop coming up with the beautiful music that you do.
Goodbye
Peter Sullivan

just picked up the 1995 release" Joe Satriani" and I thought the first four albums you did were great but this is even better!! Keep it up. Do you still jam with the Bissonette brothers? If you do tell them a graduate from Mott"77" says keep on jammin'
CHIP75: Joe's hometown is currently San Francisco..(where I was born), But he and Steve both came from Carle Place, New York.
& the quick tapping with the pick is a long-time trademark of Joes... But not necessarily a newer technique by any means...Randy Rhoads favored tapping with the pick as well - back in the early eighties...
Hello!!!!!!!!!!!Hows Mr statriani today im gonna go over to wolfs place later and see what hes doing man have you heard from him today??he uusually cruise by atleast once doent he gees he dont seem to be around at all much lately does he hmm tats weird man ,ille go over and wake him up hes probably listening to loud tunes again man ,anyways ill let you know if i find him ,cherries
HEY MAK, NO PROBLEM!! I ACTUALLY MEANT THAT MICHELLE IS A GOOD INFLUENCE AND YA YO GAKK HAS ALOT OF INFO FOR HIS FELLOW FANS!!! BUT IT'S PEOPLE LIKE WOLF2 AND THE GANG FROM PORTUGAL TO NAME A FEW THAT NEED TO GET A JOB OR SOMETHING TO GET AWAY FROM THE D@MN COMPUTER FOR AWHILE!! THEY GET A LITTLE TOO EXCITED BECAUSE JOE MAY OR MAY NOT COME TO TOWN AND "ALL_HELL_BREAKS_LOOSE".......PEACE AND AS TINY TIM WOULD SAY.... "GOD BLESS US, EVERYONE!!"
Hey Joe!! I saw your excellent performance at the Vogue Theater in Vancouver BC on May 20th. I must say I really enjoyed my first time seeing you, your guitar, and your band in action. I've been a fan of yours for quite a while, and I was even more impressed live. You covered all the songs that mean the most to me. And Stu Hamm's bass solo was one of the best I've ever heard. Thanks again for the show. Please return to Vancouver!!!! Later man :)
Hi Joe! I have a note here from my little girl and she asked me to post it on this page in hopes that you would read it. Here it is, word for word: Dear Joe, you played very good when I went to your concert. My grandma one morning said, "Chelsea, what are you going to be when you grow up?" I said a guitar player. Love, Chelsea Well, there you have it, out of the mouths of babes! I want to thank you, Jeff, Stu and Eric for posing and allowing me to take the pictures of you each with my daughter. The pictures are awesome, to say the least! She is only 7 and 1/2 (will be 8 in July) and was so encouraged, by seeing you at the show, to continue to learn to play the guitar. We both thank you for signing her guitar and even playing a little tune for her on her guitar after you had just played for all of us at the Sun Theater for nearly 3 hours! Thanks Joe! The pictures we have will make for lasting memories:) Have a great holiday weekend and God Bless:)----Sheila and Chelsea

The first itme I saw the that tapping tecnique was an 80's guitarist from "Firehouse" but he might have got it from Joe????
Date: Thu May 25 16:18 zeus<zeushera0@hotmail.com>:
YaYo: I don't think so ...but I'm willing to say he did!!lol 8Þ But let's ask the master guitarist himself: Joe, did you invent that "tapping thing"?
Webmaster...... By the time EPIC records gets around to budgeting a DVD our kids will be listening to grandpa Satriani. Does this really have to be high tech? Just some plain, simple concert videos will do nicely. All the fans interested should voice their interest in this, Thank You.
No man this is cherries, anyways chip75 any kind of chips activities =and silver horses send out moon beams under dark sky,s, chips2000000000=ak47,s from eveywere at chips yeah like 220000000000000000 of them later cherries.
Hi Joe..
You are a magic man. In minneapolis you never wanted to see the fan after your show. You some how manage to escape. So I thought you probably sneak out in the trash can. I waited for you this time in minneapolis and also for G3 with erick johnson and steve vai. Anyway I gave you a book about Bangladesh at G3. I didn't know have you ever get that book. I gave that to stu. You do have a great fan in Bangladesh. You are alwasy our best teacher. I have a picture with you http://www.mninter.net/~indhaka/jhtml_file/joe2.html. It was before G3 tour.

YaYo: I know you probably want Joe to answer you...if you wanted an answer at all (I thought you were kidding at first-never can tell with you j/k 8Þ), but in Surin' (i don't know if you play) The trick that Joe uses is a Technique called tapping. Which you probably know, but hey... he uses the edge of the pick instead of fingers to do it and it's done quickly and repeatedly ot the same fret. He just moves from the 22 (I think) fret down to the 16th or 14th. It's a neat trick and sounds amazing and can be difficult to do...mainly because of the speed and accuracy involved. So there ya go.
Hey joe ,how are you the new comer againhows it going?decent were do you live ?were is your hometown wolf2 sais he dont know man!!! maybe BOSNIA hah! hey i was listening to wolf2,s radio station earlier like around11.40 am im not so shure that wolfs right about this karen chic ,yeah she said some pretty stupid stuff arond 11.40am ,put it this way she virtually flushed her head down the toilet herself man i think that if my friend wolf had of heard it ,he would probably say that we heard that before thats sick, and ah that is nuthing to be proud of and cotinue flushing your head down the toilet yourself,i tell yeah in seconds a woman can blow me!! a good thing she had going on ,anyways hmm wolf2 he was in a really weird mood yesterday man ,it was nuts man!! i know whats wrong with him but hhe asked me not to tell you anywas ,so it looks like michelles around wolf2 said shes good for info ,and questions gees man it looks like he right! anyways im going now i have to watch the webcast first i have to ask wolf2 how to get it up and running ,talk to you later cherries.
I have recently been in contact with the webmaster and they have been moving files around and trying to improve on quality so as michelle said about the harping... have some patience please (lfg's wife)
Yes, I am having trouble with the Web broadcast also. I am on a T10 and it still will not load. I also downloaded QT 4.0. Pretty frustrating I was at this show in the second row and can not view it. There must be lots of people having trouble and not passing it on to the Webmaster, since it is not real clear how you contact him/her. Maybe this will wake them up and they will get it fixed?!
Oh, come on, Michelle. Don't you know that Joe and his band are NOT allowed to have any kind of personal life. How dare they even sleep! They should stay up 24/7 keep an eye on the chat room all the time, and read each post AS IT'S POSTED, so that way they can answer all the inane questions that get posed here IMMEDIATELY. Maybe if they do that, and they're really, really good, we'll let 'em do another CD in a couple of years, and give 'em some time off to do another tour, so we'll have an excuse to complain loudly some more. Joe is our servant! Let's all chant together!! Hey Joe, what kind of razor do you shave your head with? Hey, don't you ever read these comments? It's been nearly 15 seconds since I typed my question, and NO RESPONSE! What kind of crap is this? OK, I think I'm done now. In case there's any question, this is NOT a serious post. I'm joking (in addition to trying to make a point).
Quit whining about Joe and the guys not being here to post! If you didn't notice, they just got done with a 33 city tour! Joe has been on the chat recently, and he reads the T2J page daily. Did you ever think the band MIGHT need a rest? Maybe spend some time with their families? We should all be grateful we have this site AND the means to TALK TO JOE, Jeff, Stu, & Eric! I know I am! What good is a burned out band to start their next leg of the tour? Give them time for some R&R and they'll get to us when they can. Just have patience. peace**
TO PLUM LOCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know about Wolf because I don't loose my time reading his hudge posts because I'v not the time for it.... I'm one of your "few people from Portugal" that "need to get a job". I'm an university student, I've a partime job (4 hours/day including weekdays and saturday), I give Math and Physics explanations to two pre-university students, I spend 8 hours a week in ginasium/swimming.... so I think that I don't have to get a Job... and beetween all this I find time to listen to all cds from Joe, to try playing them on my guitar and to try to have Joe give a tour here in Portugal... We (Portuguese fans) already said that we were sorry about the "PORTUGAL-PORTUGAL-..." posts, but we will not give up... Unfortunely we are reaching the conclusion that we will have to join, rent some buses and goto Spain to see Joe........It's obvious that you, Plum Loco, are from a country that already have or will have have one or many Joe concert(s)... By the way, I'm almost sure that you don't even know were Portugal is...
i used to visit this site quite regularly but since neither joe or the band ever seem to write anything on it, i don't think i'll bother. Five diferent text colours and none of them ever get used. "talk to joe"??? talk to yourself more like.see ya
Webmaster,
I think the idea to limit conversation is good. Check out the layout of www.fortunecity.com message boards. They have it categorized in many different areas. Then again, they also have a community of volunteers to help look over them to make sure the spammers don't persist.
Additionaly, with the chat room, in an irc chat setup you can have it moderated as well as filter out words and any spamming immediately. When any comment is made the chat window scrolls up, and the page doesn't refresh.
If the refreshing page has to be there for older computers, or whatever reason, can there be both? I really like the idea of the live chat, but my computer freezes up each time it refreshes. Then I treat it like a message board, where I come back to it ever so often to see the lasted posts. Just a suggestion, and this site already is very well setup, keep it up.
Here's something on the STU vs BOO issue. Joe, you should make a habbit of doing the STUUUUU chant at the end of the show along with the audience after you introduce him for the last time (or everytime if you like). Then, everyone in the audience would surely get the gist of it! Thanks. : )
I'm really bummed out, because I haven't been able to chat with my buddies in the chat room. I'm able to get in, but my messages won't go through. I have webtv and when I scroll down to put in messages it only goes as far as refresh. HELP! I miss chatting with everyone. If Joe or the webmaster views this message, could you please check and see why this is happening. Hope to be back in sometime soon.
Joe, do u ever read this comment´s? A long time has passed since u wrote
something in this section. I hope your promotor do something about to come to
south America...especially Center America...more explycit MEXICOOOOOO. Even VAI
has come. Ask him. U got more fan´s here than Vai.Ga
Could someone pleeze tell me whether the webcast is available any time during the day or night, or do you have to log-on at 8:00pm each night to see it?
I'm Paolo from Italy.
Dear Joe, when have you planned to come to Italy with you band?
You know you have many fans here in Italy. So...what you are waiting for??
Thanks to exist

Hey Woodegg, how fast is your modem? I have the same situation, where I only get the audio, but I think it is because the QT player detects my modem speed (14.4K) and therefore it knows that my modem cannot receive data fast enough to take both the audio and the video in at the same time. As a matter of fact, 14.4K isn't even fast enought to handle audio only, it seems, as I can only get a few seconds of playback before the buffer runs out & the audio quits. If you have a 56K or cable modem, you should be able to get both. Check under Edit-Preferences-Connection Speed on the QT Player to make sure that you have the connection speed configured correctly. Hope this helps.
WEBMASTER - I CAN ONLY GET AUDIO FROM THE WEBCAST ARCHIVE LINK. I'VE DOWNLOADED QUICKTIME 4 AD INFINITUM - AND I HAVE A CABLE MODEM. IS EVERYONE HAVING THIS DIFFICULTY? IS THERE VIDEO AVAILABLE? IF SO, WHERE CAN IT BE FOUND? IF THE WEBMASTER OR ANYONE HAS AN ANSWER, PLEASE REPLY TO TASDAS@MEDIAONE.NET. THANK YOU - WOODEGG
Hello Mr Satriani, I'm Stefano from Italy, I play the guitar and would like to understand your technic... I have "The Extremist" Tabs, can you explain me how to produce the slacks with the trem bar... (you use them especially in The extremist track), it isn't easy to understand it form the tabs (officials).
Thanks....

Peanut:you're right, Aeolian and natural minor are one and the same, just two different names. Jon: the idea behind the limit is a good one, although I wonder of their are other, less restrictive ways to institute it. Perhaps we could apply the limit only to wolfie, the "persistent portuguese," and gabi. Gabi doesn't post that often, but when he gets in the mood, WATCH OUT! ANyway, a more realistic, non-tongue-in-cheek method would be to perhaps make the limit one post per six hours. Another possible idea: allow for editing of posts within a certain time period (say, one hour), so if someone remebered something they meant to say, it could be easily appended onto their message, along the lines of what michelle was saying.
Joe, I've been doing a research paper on you for my Music History class. I know you are'nt really history yet, but it's better than Bach. (Not that I have anything against Baroque) Curious if you had anything interesting about yourself to share. I recently saw you in Albuquerque at the Sunshine theatre. That was a great show! I'm from Los Alamos and just wanted the inside scoop. Thanks.
PLUM LOCO: Michelle isn't the problem at all...she usually helps others, don't really see a problem with that...what the hell? It's all the other jackasses that post random and worthless crap (i.e. Their life's adventures or COME TO PORTUGAL dozens of times). I'm glad that crap won't be on here.
I'll bet my cement pants that "cherries" = "wolf2" ======= getting in touch with your feminine side wolfie? ======= and I was just thinking to myself that people who wanted to get around the 12hr thing would just create new logins for themselves. I don't know how your going to stop that, Yamboy ....

It seems as though a video is a popular topic here in the forum. I'd have to put my own vote in for that, only maybe the Philly show instead, since I was there! I'd buy it, definately!!!
WEBMASTER: I like the idea...maybe it'll help some of Satch's fans to get lives outside of guitar and the computer...not to mention let some of the "less popular" fans say what they want to say, and have it NOTICED by everybody else.
Mr. Satriani, I have a video question. I just saw your show May 10th at the House of Blues (New Orleans). I was so stunned by what I saw and heard, I could think of nothing else for the next two days. It was truly THE most impressive show I'd ever seen. It was spectacular, the sound was clear, the lights were great; in short, it was a perfect concert. Then the following week, I went online for the Seattle webcast and noted that THAT show was even more spectacular than the one I attended. Here's the question: Was the great camera work for the webcast an indication that you're planning a video release of this tour (hopefully the Seatle show)? Please say it's so, Mr. Satriani. I would love to be able to relive the experience again and again and again. And don't think for a minute that buying the video would prevent me from attending your shows in the future. Dude, you can bet your fantastic fingers that this is one fan who will never fail to attend your shows, again and again and again. Thank you for a totally rewarding experience, for a night when I felt extremely lucky to be right where I was. No place could have been better at that moment in time. What a show! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

good job yami i really hate those guy`s who think this is a chat site or us it as a diary.Well...i dont hate them that bad....but still good job. Hi Joe. I want a response!!!! :0)
This is my first post, and it is more of a general comment. Many of the photos posted on this web site are pictures of Joe with fans during the EOC tour. Every photo that I saw taken with fans had Joe with his arm over the fan(s) shoulder(s), he's smiling, and looking into the camera. Personally, I think that is VERY COOL! How many times have you seen a snapshot of a fan with their hero and the "hero" appears totally disinterested, bothered, annoyed, etc.? These photos are a great testament to Joe's relationship with his fans. I had the opportunity to meet Joe in 1987 when Surfing With The Alien came out. He was extremely cool then, and it appears that he hasn't lost his touch. My two cents...
Of course certain people, are an exception YA YO GAKK is responsible and Michelle to name a few!!! Why not just block the people "for good" who abuse the Posting Page!!
Hey Jon(Yamboy), Great Idea... People like Wolf2 and the few people from Portugal need to get a job!!!!!!!!! I say go for it as well!!! Spamming is boring, a waste of time, and pisses people off!!!!!!!! Just Do It!!!!!!!! Famous words to live by!!!!! Plum Loco Rides Again!!!!!!!
Hello, my name is Jason Whitley (a.k.a. fret Blazer, because thats what i love to do) I have been playing for three years and already mastered the Jimi Hendrix, and Metallica style, and now i am intreaged by you incredible skill and talent. For my past teenage exsperience ive been drifting to one music form to another. I taught myself the nirvana guitar style, then the hendrix style, then the metallica style, and lastly the blues style. I find that the guitar is the only thing that i give myself credit, mainly while every one had a life, i was a home for ours practicing, so im mainly proud of my self. but any-hoo, before i bore you ear off i need to tell you, mr. satriani, that through all the music styles i studied, yours was the style that i dreamed of. In my dreams i imagine a guitar band that played mainly guitar and no lyrics, a band that paved to road for the guitar. a band that can bring back the guitar from the darkness which it is desending at this point in time. The pitch of you guitar is like a tin angel playing the song of heaven's rain. I was curious, what effects do you use to illuminate an exotic cosmic like sound. can you describe how i can make my $100.00 guitar to sound like a priceless instrument. Can you tell me what for of effect will be needed to elaborate my guitar. Your advice is respectfully needed, and valued.
Webmaster.. I think it's an excellent Idea. This area is supposed to be a public contact point to ask Joe questions or to otherwise have an access to Joe that we would not normally have. Joe simply doing this much is very VERY cool of him in the first place, and this is not the place for posting multiple slamming messages just because you can copy and paste. Honestly, that kind of posting negates the entire reason for this place if the result is to desensitize Joe and the rest of the band to coming around and makig a presece. If there are people who wish to express their free speech, they don't have to use up all the wolf cries for the rest of us. Just a thought.. Hi Joe! Really Digging Champagne.. Cool vibe.. enjoy the rest.. Peace.. Adam Fox

xwing (Rob Neff): I totally agree that's my fav song!!!! Peanut: I think you are right they are the same...or very close...haven't done theory in years. Hope all is well Joe. Thanks
Webmaster..... VIDEO? any thought on a VIDEO of the CONCERT??? Got my credit card waiting! This computer concert was a treat, but how about a real "I can See" type format. Lets get it hooked up!!!
Good idea webmaster, this place ends up to much like a chat room sometimes. I would rather joe read my comments but im sure he just skips alot of them most the time coz its garbage! So thumbs up. Im quite impressed with the way this web sites progressing by the way....constant improvement and feedback, 10/10 guys! See you in england joe and the guys. Later Matt
Limiting posts by person to 1 every 12 hours would end up clearing this board I think... I find a great many of the posts by those that are regulars here (YaYo, Michelle, Gabi & many others) to be very informative about whats going on with Joe & guitar\music stuff in general... (Okay, so maybe Wolf's aren't THAT helpful unless it's eyestrain you want, but HEY! - He does add character to the site!) I can certainly understand MULTIPLES of the SAME post being erased, But limit of 1 per 12 hours? If you MUST do it, how about 1 per hour? ...that's a reasonable block. Just my opinion. Anyhow guys, I guess I'll hear from you tommorow then... :O)
hi joe how's it goin? firstly, you give me more listening pleasure from your music than any other guitarist i have ever listened to! i've just got my ticket for your gig in shepards bush (england). I have been to see you every time you visit our country and you just keep getting better!!!!! there is however one thing you could do to make this gig the ultimate gig for me, i'm sure it's possible, could you please play RETURN TO SHALABA ? for me this track contains everything that is guitar playing, it is a masterpiece!! never has there been such mastery in one track of music IT ROCKS!!! i really look forward to seeing you soon i'm a guitar player myself and you provide me with so much insperation THANK YOU maybe one day i might be a fraction as good as you see ya soon. from....WAYNE WOOD.
To the Webmaster... Could you please let members download the file of the Live webcast, not watching it streaming i want to be able to download it and watch it locally and also do you think you could make a Java Chat instead of that refresh thing...??? alright thats about it thanks email me back about the Concert movie.
WEBMASTER: You probably have something going there. The only unfortunate thing is for us who like to answer some questions that we know for people and stuff like that. Also, sometimes you post something and then you remember something else and just add a quick sentence to your last post, and we won't be able to do that. The 12-hour thing is a good idea though for people who constantly spam the site with annoying drivel... I guess there are ups and downs whatever way you look at it. It's just unfortunate that some people have to spoil this privilege for the rest of us... Yes I mean privilege because we are actually able to indirectly make contact with the one and only Joe Satriani, a hero to many of us (including myself.) Just a few of my thoughts on this issue... Oh and hey Joe, how's it going? Hehehe...
Joe (and obviously management), I was wondering if you would consider doing an extensive Canadian tour.? I know our dollar sucks right now, but it'd make a hell of a lot of fans really happy. By the way, "Engines of Creation" is really different, but it still rocks. SO do you, rock on!
Listen guys I'm sorry to say this but no matter how great joe is he is not as good as the guitar god himself, Steve Vai, does anyone know whether they have got plans to tour together again, preferably in the UK
I just have one more humble request. Joe ..... Next time you come to Tampa Bay, Florida you have to play Crushing Day.
I know that there has to be a limit to the number of songs in the set list. You already play for almost three hours. That's cool!!!
I just would love to hear Crushing Day played live once.
SeeYa
hey mr. luini i just had a shocking revelation, what does joe think about you silencing the fans to 1 comment a day? i mean come on...... i didnt know this was www.sovietunion.com
I saw the May 8th EOC performance at Tampa Theater. It was excellent. Joe was absolutely unbelievable, as always. Not to leave the other guys out, Stu was excellent and Jeff Campitelli came up with some pretty interesting fills,
Eric was pretty good as well, however I had a hard time picking out his specific parts in most of the songs. Taking into consideration the fact that he was playing backup guitar and keyboards, he still didn't seem to have enough volume. (He was drowned out by the other instruments.)
It was an excellent show. I can't wait for the next one.
Date: Wed May 24 12:37 zzking<bs130076@skynet.be>:
I've heard that the concert in Belgium on the 7/11/00 with zztop is been cancelled due to healthproblems with one of the members of zztop
Is there still going to be a concert??Perhaps at a different venue?
The Web Cast was killer once I got it going. It took me a while to get connected, even with a cable modem. The site must have been being hammered.
I hope that the concert is released on Video/DVD. It would also be cool if the concert is made available for download off the Internet. (i.e. as a .mov file to the local hard drive as opposed to streamed version)
I know it would take forever to download, but it would be worth the wait to have a copy. Afterall, the streamed version would still be there for those that require immediate gratification.
Joe..I saw you in Seattle last Friday night and you were as sharp as ever.
Great to see you're still doing it like only you can.
P.S.- The sound was turned up way too high though for that small theater..
perhaps lowering the dB level a bit would bring out more clarity in your playing. The sound was so overwhelming that the individual notes were impossible to pick out.
well I think "engines" is your best work ever, especially the song "clouds race across the sky" I´ve never heard anything like it...... you are the best joe...... Looking forward too se you in Stockholm..
Joe, I have to tell you that The songs Bells of Lal 2 & Raspberry Jam Delta 5 are the greatest songs of all time! They(you) have moved and influenced my playing more than I can describe. I just want to thank you personally for your inspiration and lessons I have learned from your playing and written materials. You totally rule! I have recently recorded a song I wrote on a whim after reading that your engineers record your warmups and practice solos just in case something good happens... but you are right, How do I know what the heck I just palayed? I think Crystal Planet is the best record Ive heard just about ever! Engines is way cool also... Keep jammin Joe! Peace...
I think Joe Satriani is one of, if not the best guitar players ever to stroll on planet earth. However; why did he have long hair and then shave it off to be completely skin bald? It looks a bit ridiculous, but hey. Also am I correct in thinking that an Aeolian Modal scale is the same as a Natural Minor scale? Probably not...
JOE! Listening to Engines right now, it is a very well thought out and arranged work of art. I am thoroughly enjoying the new dimension it gives your guitar work, not the kind of stuff we are used to hearing but definately happenin! can't wait to find a few hours to whip out my axe and give this new one a whack! Good luck on the next leg of the tour, show 'em how us Americans rock! peace.
just sitting here replaying A TRAIN OF ANGELS over and over again on cd player.it was just to cool when Joe did it live. so i'll play it over and over on my cd and i get to relive those moments from the concert. hurry back back Joe to Portland Or. I need another satch live fix. long live long live
"MAXIMUS" JOE the SLAYER.
Great idea!! If you "Abuse" something- You lose "something"! I like going to "chat" to make any point's or ask questions. You can get a faster answer anyway... hope most agree!
Hey joe,
Amazing show in Seattle! I was just curious if you checked out Q-bert and the guys. Also I would like to send you some of my stuff if you're interested. Hopefully you remeber what I'm talking about. PS webmaster I think the one post idea is pretty good.
coleman
Webmaster, I think thats a good idea. Some people don't know when to stop talking about thier private life and other crap we don't want to hear. thats what chatrooms are for. later Damien
Hey Joe, I think the new idea of putting one comment on per person Is a good one. I haven't been able to visit this site in the last week because I have in hospital-came of my bike and smashed up half my face, but don't worry, no permanent damage done I'll still be there for the Vicar St. gig in Dublin! Oh Yea, I missed the Webcast on the 19th.....Doh! Anyway Cya in 12 hours!
Looking forward to you getting to london Joe. Now attending the GIG on
Wednesday the 28th at Shepards Bush Empire.
See all you other fans there.

Jon, I guess it has to be done. It's a shame though. It would be better if you could attach those regulations to just the posters that are abusing the page. I post alot, but not THAT much. I like to answer peoples questions or direct ppl on where to go to find something, so stuff like that calls for repeated posts. I also agree that you should limit the characters or else we'll have a few short novels to sift through. It's a p!sser, but it will make some of the posters who left because of the nonsense come back. peace** HI M&M
hahaa rick2 did it not me........ webmaster i think that sucks...1 comment every 12 hours sounds a little commie to me man, oh well i guess we could try it.
WEBMASTER: Great idea on the posts, and while you are at it......limit the characters allowed! We will actually be able to scroll down and enjoy the reading instead of getting burned out from half a days posts.
Me and a whole load of my mates are coming to join you at the Academy in
Birmingham, UK, on the 26th of June. There's one person (Dave) coming who hasn't
yet been awed by your style; is it possible you can play (or maybe begin to play
the main lick of) his favourite tune by his favourite artist, the late great
Rory Gallagher. The track in question is 'Shadow Player', from the album 'Top
Priority'. I know you're a busy person and that, for me, just hearing your tunes
played live is enough, but you know what these philistines are like. I don't
expect you to start doing requests, but it would be pretty cool if you would do
this for me. Did I mention I have all you albums?, Cheers,
Yamboy, I like it! Take that wolfie! (hathunk, plop) ======= Yamboy, you'll probably have to limit the length of posts too. I'll bet my cement pants that wolfie is typing up an epic story as we speak ... ======= Okay, here's for the guys in the band. I'd really get a kick out of reading what impressions you guys got from the fans on this tour. This was the first one I got to see (and TWICE to boot!!) and from everyone's comments it seemed to be the best ever. So eveyone chime in, and I'm not prejudice to color!! : ) ======= Thanks! ======= ps. I'm the one with the "Throw Stuff At Me!" sign (you all put your sigs on it after the Austin show)
Hi' I am from Indonesia. I want to tell you there are many Indonesian people like you as a guitarist. And We want you to make a schedule for concert in Indonesia. Because your friend, Steve Vai had already played in here. Please make a plant .........
hi.i am french from Toulouse in the south.in july joe won't come in my city.why?
he will go to Sete, a small town.and Toulouse is the 4th city in france.(in april steve vai came and he loved this city!!!)
Yamboy (Jon) - that sounds like an excellent idea...I say go for it!! That is the reason I don't post too often...the place is spammed out by wolf and a few others!!
hi folks. since some people seem to want to post a bit too much and not
allow others to have the same presence, i'm trying out a system of only allowing
each person to post a comment every 12 hours. let me know what you all think about it. i want
to make sure this page is equally helpful and useful to everyone and
allows for equal time. for conversation that needs more of a real-time interaction,
the chat room is available.
i have no idea what he(wolf) is talking about either. i can make out a few clear phrases, but don't know where they are coming from, or what lead to them.
..........wolf is a 5150 for sure.

I'm getting a kick out of catching up with this site. Haven't been able to get a life on the computer much. Too much other stuff. But the music keeps on playing, wherever I go. Hey, Evbro, somehow my e-mail that I send you comes back to me. Don't know why. Just looking for the unofficial website address...so please forward to my e-mail address. Hope you liked the pictures! Hey Michelle - what would this site be without you, my sister Satriani Fan? Maybe I will catch a show in Europe this summer. Paris' show shouldn't be a festival type if it's at the Olympia Theater. I know I am dating myself, but my parents took me at age 10 (1962) there to see...the Beatles...yuhuh...
Hi Joe! I just wanted to drop by and drop an address on ya.. Robert and I finished up a New single over the weekend, and got it on the stuff I submitted to MTV yesterday. Hi Joe, I am french, and I go to your concert in Paris of july 8th.
I really like your music and I think that your compositions and your technical exploits are unic in the guitar history, that's why I'm looking forward to see you in July
I also want to ask you something :
I think many of your fans are guitarists, so maybe during your concerts you could let one of them play quickly something with you, to have the pleasure to play with the supreme master (and if possible i wish to be this honoured one, in Paris, so if you can ... please let me know it).
JOE PLEASE, LET ME PLAY WITH YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But maybe you already do this, so I hoppe you will answer me, and anyway, I'd like to thank you for giving us your love and creativity through your music.
See you soon.

Spiral: if EOC is all you have, I'd say to buy them in this order ======= Surfing With the Alien, The Extremist, Crystal Planet, Flying in a Blue Dream, Time Machine, Joe Satriani, Not of This Earth, Dreaming #11 ======= Actually, if you can afford it - just buy them all at once. They all ROCK and they're all great in their own way.

Hey guys! Not a bad idea to let the other band members respond. Musically, I generally go through phases about who I'm most interested in (but I always dig Joe!); most recently, I've been going nuts over Duane Allman's slide playing, Gov't Mule, and Danny Gatton. Anyone hear of Danny Gatton (God rest his soul)? Joe, let us know what you think of Danny Gatton, this guy was incredible! Also, Gary Hoey is still the best fit for the next G3 with you and Vai. Peace!
Hi Joe,
I just wanted to congratulate you for your great concert last May 19th. It was really impressing!. The pitty is that I had to saw it on the net. I didn’t understand the behaviour of the public with Stuart “Stu”. I think he is a great musician, and an excepcional collaborator, and I think he deserves a bit of respect.
I hope we can meet in your next show in Barcelona, and I hope it will be as exciting as this one.
I wanted to congratulate you for your last record, I think Eric and you have done a great work combining the guitars with the electronic instruments.
Thanks. Hope to see you and hear you so many times.

Dear Joe,
Or for that matter anyone who may have the answer to my dilemma.
I have always had a very difficult time getting any guitar perfectly in tune. With the intonation setup as close as I can possibly get it, there are still discrepencies between intervals played at various positions on the neck. I can make fourths sound good but thirds sound out yada yada yada. Any who I read an article a while back in the Berklee Alumini magazine, and steve vai was talking about this guy who figured out how to overcome this problem by shaving a little off the "nut?" and then tuning it a certain way. Maybe you know what I am talking about or have an answer yourself. Either way I sincerely hope someone can help me.
Thank you for your time

AWESOME Pictures of everyone at the Studio!!! Thanks for sharing them here on the site! I'm tellin' ya webmaster.....the site just keeps getting better and better! Bravo! ----- Sheila
Man! Awsome pictures of the band Jon! Thanks for the tip. My news page didn't refresh when I came on, so I didn't see it. Everybody go check out the pictures of the private show the band did for contest winners. Some have audio too! I was going to have a b1tchfest cause all the pictures of Jeff were teeny. From that far away with headphones on he looks like Princess Leah(sp?), but you came through in the end. lol! (note to Gabi - just kidding, don't take it personally - it's a joke). Phat pictures of Joe, Stu, and Eric (we even get a peek at Eric's wife! - Hi Chrissy!) Fantastic job Jon! peace**
Yep... You guys (Joe,Eric, Jeff and Stu) must come to Portugal... What about July? THe sun is really shinning here and you could take a couple of days off after the show to goto Alcarve or Estoril and enjoy the sun and the beach... PORTUGAL!!!!! (By the way, I still having problems to watch the webcast archive, I've downloaded quicktime 2 times with every plugins and it still gives me the error "Quictime doesn't understand the file format"... I wan't to see the webcast!!!)
Cool Jon!! Stu in purple, Jeff in red - just like I suggested! Maybe blood orange is the color of bad turkey? LOL! This is so cool! Can't wait till the guys start logging on! This website keeps getting better and better! ~~~GABI, quit crying like a little girl. Sorry your having nightmares about the parody, it's just that ppl like you are so inspiring to ppl like me. Thanks again. Glad I make your days a little brighter :) peace**
HELLO JOE, I HOPE THAT YOU ARE OK. PORTUGAL IS WAITING FOR AN ANSWER ABOUT A POTENCIAL CONCERT IN PORTUGAL IN THIS TOUR. PLEASE COME BACK. WE NEED A SATRIANI CONCERT. BEST WISHES ALEX LISBON
Hi
I have to tell you about how we (my wife and I)managed to miss your last tour to the U.K. We had arranged the babysitter and bought our tickets and were looking forward to seeing you live as the Crystal Planet album was brilliant.
On the wednesday before the gig our babysitter rang to check on the time that we wanted her to arrive.I went to check the start time on my ticket(fairfield halls,Croydon)and it was only when I got back to the telephone that I noticed the ticket said Wednesday and not Saturday.Imagine my horror.By now it was half past nine in the evening so there was no chance of making it to Croydon by the end of the gig.To say we were a bit upset would be an understatement.I was especially looking forward to seeing Uli Roth, one of my favorite guitarists.
Anyway,my tickets for the show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire have just arrived so I have written the date and time down on every calendar, diary and spare scrap of paper I can find.Looking forward to the show. The new album is incredible.
Who are the guests on the U.K. leg of the tour?
Best wishes
Jonathan.
Well. what can i say u must be fed up with comments on what guitar techniques you use or what spec something is... well im just here for the ride... as long as that music keeps pumping i will be listening.... see u soon in manchester UK
Summersong over and out

Sir Joe Satriani, why don't you talk a little bit in detail and at least help the young guys asking for some valuable advice-----------------AND WHAT ABOUT CUTTING THE NEXT DISC AS A HEAVY,THRASH STUFF : AT LEAST YOU'LL GET RID OF OLD PEOPLE LIKE MICHELLE.MAN ,I'M STILL ANGRY ABOUT "BIG BAD MOON"

I just hope there is a home video for us ppl who cant afford all the fancy computer crap that all the mommies and daddies bought for ya
yeah. there are 3 versions archived.. 28/56/100. When you load up the satriani_ref.mov it determines your connection and what file to get. Anyways, the 100k file is the isdn feed, so, don't expect to be getting as high of quality as you were getting during the live broadcast (cable/t1/dsl users that is) so again.. 100k is the highest offered.

Joe, i think DLR wasted Steve Vai's talent like Mr.Big did to Paul gilbert and Billy sheehan.
Hi Folks, UK Fans! There is an extra date at Shepherds Bush Empire on Weds 28/06/00 Tickets have been on sale all this week, get them from Ticketweb. See you all there. John.

Joe,how about playing with Brit heroes --- Eric clapton,Jimmy page and Mark Knopfler
Just got my tickets for the gig in London in June..JS "plus special guests". Standard wording or has the bald one got something planned? He must be getting pretty knackered by now, but I hope Joe's not going to cut back the set list too much for the European leg.
Joe- I saw the Austin show and it was phoenominal as usual, but thankyou so much for the Web Cast. It is a very generous gift to us all. God bless you.

Remember Bobby Charlton !!!!
THANKS WEBMASTER....and everyone in Joe's camp for working on the archive sound.
It was such a bad experience for us poor folks who don't have access to DSL, etc. so this will be like being able to finally see it. Thanks.
hehee andre.....KEN in quicktime prefs you need to change the connect speed to t1 or lan....but rick2 said that link was to the 100k version so who knows, yamboy i think is still trying to get those tree hugging grass smoking apple people to re-encode it better.
Maybe silver for eric...that would look pretty cool...jeff in red and stu in orange maybe...can't wait for them to start posting and chatting...I know Eric (Andre) already has.
I have to say... I'm glad someone from Kansas won the contest! Maybe next time Joe tours, he won't be so quick to treat us midwesterners (and especially Kansans) like red-headed stepchildren. I was really hurt... but I still got the shirt! Wearing it right now, as a matter of fact....

Yayo...hehe....Jen is my girlfriends name! And THANKS for the link. I opened IE and entered the URL.....the video downloaded and I saved the Temp file to my HD, but I think it was a slower bit version. The video is kinda choppy. When I watched it over my friends cable modem it was MUCH smoother. I have ADSL so it should be just as smooth. I think that IE downloaded a lower bit version. Is there anyway I can set it up so that I get the 100/bit (highest quality) version instead of one of the lower ones? I would appreciate any help you guys could give. Thanks. **Peace**
Hey!! "Webman Yamboy"... That's a great idea... Stu Should be RED, Eric Should be PINK, AND Jeff Should be PURPLE!!! Enough about that!!!!!!!!!!!!! And also one more thing... This is for YAYO GAKK!!! I just noticed after my question was just submitted, the email addresses don't show anymore....jackson13@earthlink.net if there are any pics from the show in Minneapolis (or afterwards)---Thanks, Jackie & Jared =)
I was curious if there are any archived pictures from the Minneapolis show, specifically from outside after the show while Stu, Jeff & Eric signed autographs. My son was out front & center, waiting so patiently... and probably in a picture or two....if there are any, and there's a little kid who looks about 10 in them, could I possibly get an emailed copy? That would be awesome! Thanks! Come back to Minneapolis soon! G3 or ala carte!---Jackie & Jared
Just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful time! Was at the Moore in Seattle and saw Joe live for the first time. Truly a treat to watch someone who not only is technically brilliant, but also very obviously enjoys what he does! Whew, I was exhausted - and I was only in the audience! Can only imagine how Joe felt. You have another fan for life. - mrs. sness :-)
Joe,
Man, I waited and waited to see the show but in the end, my system was too
darn slow! Have been trying to get a look at the archive but too slow for
that as well... I know it was a blast and we all thank you for sharing it
with the world. Perhaps we might see the show on DVD in the future? Hope all
remains well with you, your family, and the many people that make it happen for
you each day.
A Fan from North Carolina - Grover
XROB - man, I almost blew my drink out of my nose! Have mercy bro! I told you I have a tendency to use a few of George Carlins 7 dirty words on occasion :x I did enjoy the archive WITH sound! I can't believe I didn't put Turkey Man on my tape! I fit 22 songs from the setlist on my tape perfectly (100 min). I put the rest of the set list behind my EOC tape, then added the songs I wished were on the setlist. Guess my mission for this week will be to find a spot somewhere to add Turkey Man...cause Mike knows turkey!~~~JEFF should be in RED cause he plays with a firey passion! STU should be in, um, maybe purple cause he's a free spirit, and ERIC can be in beige cause it's the color of cheap turkey! lol! Love ya Eric! ~~~~AND - God Bless and take care* peace** hi M&M
YAYOGAKK: Yellow for Jeff would look too much like the webmaster...what color are his drums? Maybe white for the white drum heads...I don't know...by the way, what does the archived webcast sound like?
Hi JOE, Dude I saw the Seattle show last Friday night (in person 4th row!), and I must say, YOU ARE THE MASTER! I first saw you play back in 1988 in a bar called "Studio West" in Phx., AZ, and I have been a HUGE fan ever since! I have most all of your CD's (gonna pickup the new one soon!), and I have seen you LIVE at least 5-6 times (and I can still hear!!? hehehehehe) Keep putting out the GREAT music, and THANKS for many years of excellent times and tunez.... peace bro'!! =)
Hi Joe, hope you're well, I have'nt been on your site for a while but I like the changes. Joe, I wonder if you could do me a favour, I have just been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and told I only have about four months to live, so I was wondering if I could do a duet with you at the Manchester Apollo gig in England next month. I have played the guitar for about fifteen years and play all your stuff with my band called Addicted so I know I won't let you down. I've seen you play live five times now and you've been an inspiration and I've got every one of your albums so any track will do. Please ask your webmaster to reply to me and I will die a happy man. yours faithfully. Andy from Grimsby in England.
howdy folks-- quick update on the webcast archive. the 56k feed is being re-encoded and should be updated by the end of tomorrow. also, i believe that if you connect at 28k, you will *only* get audio since we preferred something that sounds good at such a low bitrate. oh yeah, and from now on, my posts will show up in this brighter green. joe remains in blue. i am adding new colors for the rest of the band, should they desire to make a post.
Go to www.chrisduartegroupfans.org to find out about the TRUE new messiah of blues roack guitar! CHRIS DUARTE is the REAL DEAL!!! Do yourself a HUGE favor and GO SEE 'EM LIVE!!! Trust me - you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Engines of Creation is sweeeeet. I don't have a cd player in my car, so I made myself a tape that has Turkey Man right after Engines (and the remixes after that). Ahhhh, I feel complete now. : ) ======= ps. Really digging the webcast archive. Sorry about my comments during the broadcast - I was freaking out because I had looked forward to it so much and then it sounded like a psycho modem stuck in a handshake loop. I'm sure everyone who had trouble can relate - right, Michelle? ======= How about a news update? Get any good ideas for songs while on the road? ======= How about a webcast of the contest winner's lesson? Huh? How about that? ======= And where's this T-Shirt offer we've heard about? ======= Sorry, I've been reading too many of wolfie's comments - I've really tried to cut back ... Hey Wolfie, you need to check the expiration date on that lunch meat MAN!! haha : )
Hi, Joe,I'm from Brazil I'm the big fan of yours, I think your guitar playing is GREAT!!
the new album Engines of Creation it's great and dreadful song "Until We Say Goodbye"
thank you so much for your inspiration good luck around the world!!!!
It's almost June - he's gonna be in the UK soon!! Can't wait!! Joe - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE play lots of Engines stuff, esp. Devils slide, FC7, Borg sex, Attack, Engines.... hell, play it all! If any other UK fans feeel the same, do like me and let the man know!!! cya ... :)
JOE, I will do anything to get a lesson from you. PLEASE I live right next to San Francisco. I am 17 and love your music. You can e-mail me. It would mean so much to me that I can't describe. I've already went to 2 of your shows and met you once for about 1 second. I was an honor to shake your hand. Thank you so much for what you have done. And if you can tell Jeff thanks for drawing a drum set on my shirt.
Joe, took my 14 year old son (budding guitar player) to the show in Seattle.
The little dude was impressed as was I! The performance was excellent, one of the best I've seen, and I've seen a few as I turned fifty last month. After many years observing the music scene I can recomend your music to anyone including
my own kids without reservation as some of the best, most creative and gimmick free stuff ever done. Thanks for the years of listening pleasure and a great concert.
P.S. I ran out of Ca$h at the show. The boy and I would like to purchase a couple of "t" shirts. Is that possible? I don't do credit cards so a mail order
- money order thing is what we are looking for.
Thanks' keep em coming'
Eric

I am extremely sorry for the comments I have posted here in the past. Please everyone, forgive me, I didn't mean it. I am young (only 18) and foolish. By the way Satch - your concert was great and I was glad to meet you.
take a chill pill jimmy....i have been using this name on here for like 3 years, everyone knows im not steve vai! i would be posting in green if i was.
Hey webmaster, would it be possible to add a "Joe's Fan Sites" section to this page? Then people like me could post the addresses of their Satch tribute sites on the official page, I think it would be pretty cool, just a suggestion. Oh and immyj89: this may come as a complete SHOCKER to you but yes I actually do think EOC is an awesome album and I don't just say that to kiss up. If I were disappointed I would say it. But I'm not, and I love the CD. I know a lot of other people do too, and a lot of people like you don't. There is nothing wrong with liking/not liking the album, but if you go accusing people the way you do, people will not respond kindly. You'll only start a war. All I'm saying is maybe you should reconsider your approach...
People waht I would like to know is? Do you people really think our style of music will make a resurgance( probably spelled wrong)or is this crap on the radio going to keep influencing our idols (ex.steve vai with boy from seattle and this whole f-ing engine b.s.).What happened to the guitar. Has jeremy spoke in class today. How many people do you actually know like the new rock (days of the crap ,creed, etc.). With no disrespect to as you all call"sir joe", crap or get off the pot( or what ever drug your taking, crystal boy).I am truly sorry if I sound pissed but I am. Do you people really like this album? Or are you so in love with joe that you are blinded by it? Reality, join us won't you. Yes joe is f-ing incredible, but if you love someone arent you suppose to tell them they messed up?. Joe if you are there, you caved in, its creative, but thats about it. drop the meth and just play your guitar. YOYOGAKK, drop the steve act and get your own personality( we all know its not steve vai, if you do wake up, like steve vai is going to spend his precious time on a satch site.)
uhhh...I'm sure no wants to waste their time, but would anyone mind uploading the webcast to me, if they have it saved, I am not sure how to do it myself...boo hoo
Dear Mr. Satriani, The band I'm in in Las Vegas is petering out can you give me some referals in this area? I'm a blues player that can rock do fusion and originals. Just thought I'd ask you with all your contacts. A devoted fan "Al Nelson"(Guitar_al@hotmail.com)
YO JOE!
Tickemaster still has you on their reschedule list for Norfolk...
Is there any hope still of you coming back before or after Europe?
Keep Jammin.. Chip

Hey Joe, I just caught your show at the Vogue in Vancouver, B.C. (5/20/00) and all I can say is "Wow!". You are the best. That was the fifth time seeing you perform and it just keeps getting better. I've been a fan for a long time. The first time I saw you was at the "In concert against AIDS" at the Okland Colliseum. You played "Always with You Always with Me" and I thought what a beautiful song. It's me and my wife's song. Keep rockin and I'll always listen. All the best to you.

Hi Joe,
may I ask you for a few minutes of your time?
I am living in the southern part of Germany (Munich) and a long time (since 1987) loyal fan of your great and fine guitar music!
Currently, I am planning on making a character animation with a computer based 3D-system as a self paced studying example. The goal is to create a cartoon-like animation of a paper roll that acts as the boss of a print shop. This once finished animation should be my private milestone on how far my personal skills have progressed in studying 3D character animation with an overall running time of approx. 3 minutes.
One milestone in this project will be the integration of music to the animation, as well as synchronizing the movement, expression of the characters and the overall mood to music.
This would be the point, where I need some kind permission of yours: After browsing my CD collection (record player went over the river Styx), I thought one of your fine pieces of guitar music will perhaps fit to the story I want to tell with this animation. I was thinking of "Surfing with the Alien", published on the same named LP/CD (yes, I got both of them :-) , as the overall mood, expression of emotion, changes in the pace and speed of playing the guitar would be a very nice and perfect background music for the planned animation.
All this considered, "Surfing with the Alien" would fit perfectly to the planned animation.
The only thing, that remains unsettled is a permission by yours to use the first 3 minutes of your fine piece of music. As i don't want to use the sometimes finished animation for commercial purpose, I would like to ask you for a gratuitous permission to use a part of this track.
I hope, I don't ask for too much, but if so, please tell me honestly what you think about this idea.
Please excuse my bad english, again I hope on your kind permisson.
Your loyal fan of great guitar music,
Bernd Baldin
hi WEBMASTER and everyone, is it normal? all i can have from the archive is the audio.i don't have the video:thanks for helping

I watched the first webcast on my comp with a 56k and the sound was awesome, but the picture was like a infomercial...but I knew that was going to happen. I Watched the Fri webcast on my friends cable connection and it kept cutting out. He is a computer guru so I know that his system is in prime condition. Personally I think it's the Quicktime. I had headache after headache getting that bugger to work when I got it 7 monthes ago. In my opinion if the picture suffers to get the best sound that's ok and the mediaplayer concerts' sound was perfect. I think i had one hick-up through the whole show. Lose the Quicktime. As you said webmaster I too have seen better things from Quicktime. I would also like to make another suggestion. Maybe use fewer cameras for the show. I know you wanted to get a "concert feel" for it but it seemed that every camera change resulted in a bad pic or sound. I wasn't at the show so maybe they moved the cameras around but i think there were 7 camera angles. I could be wrong but wouldn't fewer cameras increase the quality of the feed? There's my two sense. On the up side I would watch it again with the same quality of sound/picture because half of Joe is better then no Joe! Thanks to Joe and webmaster
Thanks, Yayo and Rik. Ironically, what I ended up doing is opening up frontpage and creating a dummy webpage with a simple link to that url. I then opened up that page and right clicked and selected "save as" ... lol. In any other case, the quicktime player insisted on opening the file rather than downloading it. I tried de-installing the player so it would prompt to save to disk but that didn't work either. Oh well, I'm downloading the full meal deal now (236MB @ 126kb/s). Thanks again guys. I don't think it should be a big deal downloading the file as it saves bandwidth from the host. Plus the movie is cached on the hard drive while playing anyway. hello to all & to all a hello!its been a couple of weeks since my last ahhh page
so i have some catching up to do.well satch...your at home with the family gearing up for your EOC tour in europe next month.but i caught your webcast friday night as well as your shows at HOUSE OF BLUES chicago last month and i must say....you are simply undiminished in your playing talent as well as your energy.well enough for now...hope you have a webcast for the european tour as well. take care and godbless to you your family and friends...Parrish
Satch,
What's up? I've been a fan of yours for under a year, but have listened to a multitute to genius guitar playing from your albums including "Not of this Earth," "The Extremist," "Crystal Planet," and "Engines of Creation." As an artist I have found an unmeasurable amount of inspiration in your creativity and through the music that you perform. Your album Crystal Planet has influenced two successful visual works that were created during the second semester at college this year. You along with John Petrucci, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson have made a huge impact on my listening interest and creativity. A good friend of mine introduced your music to me through the album Crystal Planet and ever since I've wanted to see you perform. I was wondering if you will come back to Cleveland soon and also if a G3 tour was amoung your future plans. I'd love to see you play live and I hope that you continue to create great music.
Peace out,
Crash Course Chris
What gives? I have Quicktime4 installed properly on my system. I have ADSL. I have a good connection. I am NOT behind a firewall. Yet, I still cannot stream the Archived Concert. I had to miss the Austin show and eat the tickets I bought because I got sick. I missed the first set of the LIVE WEBCAST because of technical difficulties in getting Quicktime4 to stream properly on my buddies system. Now I can't get the Archive to work. It keeps timing out. Is there anyone who can watch the Archived Webcast that can help me? **Peace**
Joe I was wondering what you where going to do about the show cancelled(2)in Norfolk, Virginia. I no that fans that where there for four hours before both shows because I was one of them! If you would please update us if your coming back. Thanks and enjoy your time off! CC44

shane; the main files are not on epics site, it's on apples. satriani_ref.mov is just a streaming/redirector file w/ some code(probably to determine your connect speed and what file to get 28/56/100bit) and the actual links to the files are within it. the streaming file acts just like media players .asx files. and realplayers .rm (or .ram cant exactly remember what file acts as the streamer for rplayer) anyhoo, i dont want to get into trouble, so, i wont post the link... i'll let someone else do it. :P
Hi, Joe,
I'm Irham from Indonesia
I'm the big fan of yours, I think your guitar playing is GREAT!! I have all of your records that I can found here. But some of them can't be found here. They are "Not on this earth", "Beautiful Guitar", and "Dreaming#11" Could you please tell me how to get them ?
'Bout your new album "Engines of Creation", I think is very good, but I feel the power is less than your last album "Crystal Planet" because in my opinion the live drum should be used in a rock music to give the power in it..
That's all..
Please reply OK?
Hey joe whats up man!?whats new man!! you know sumthin man being bald would be much easier man, like i meanmy hair was feeling ,pretty ruff earlier man well its probably from all my hair ,stlye stuff man right?so i did the wash and leave in for an hour conditioner thing man ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! it feels great now man but really i need to hot oil it man crazy hey man?I wise manfrom the chicago tribune once said dont mess with your hair to much or by the time your 40 your hair will look 80 .like after so much damage and abuse you have to put everything back in it man!Oh yeah man hot oil would be greattttttt! man ah a haircare mission for another time .Im stuffed man pigged out on sandwhiches man feel good now though no i dont have no personal munchie making activity, none of my socalled friends have come through yet oh well ,there loss man !!anyways im gonna relax then crash going down was awsome man me and karen man it was cool shes decent man, there so many decent women in my life though man now i just need one to stay later wolfie
Could someone tell me how to download the quicktime file? I'm watching the webcast routinely and it would probably save Epic's bandwidth if I downloaded it.
Joe, you the man.
thank you so much for your inspiration

HI Joe, I like the new direction with "creation"..I always thought your guitar would sound great over bone crunching industrial groove-throb like Ministry's "Just One Fix" from Psalm 69..
Tom
Well, the highest bitrate is 100k, which is the isdn feed I assume. The one I had during the broadcast was high quality and pretty sweet. Anyways, I d/led the concert and it's all right, although its lacking in the FPS department.
I have to post a request also for Satch to play in Detroit. Especially now that I saw the "choppy" quicktime snippets (too bad it wasn't before the US tour), I would love to see him in concert now. A live concert as opposed to non-studio mixing really gives Satriani life to his playing style.
Hey joe 20 to 12 g3 going down, done ..WOH woh woh!!!! whats happening at my county jailhuh ! ididnt catch all that but there better not be anyone messing with any certain female guards i know or ille be hunting the ididot !!nobody screw with themmm !!!!!! wolf be back in a bit
Hello joe, just wanted to say you are an awsome musician every time you come out with a new cd i am blown away by your ability to add to the pallet of guitar playing and effect's. I know their are alot of great guitar player's out their, Thier are just to many to name but your style is unique in the way that you bring out a sertain mood and feeling in each of your song's. The only other guitarist i can relate that to would be "greg howe".well, take care joe have a great tour hope to see you come to Houston,Texas.
Joe, i just want to know if you're gonna come to Mexico someday. It would be great to see you on stage!!! =)
Peace!

Hey Joe! just wanted to let you know that the webcast the other night was very cool. We didn't get the first half, but we got it working right before you announced the winner of the guitar contest.. I did want to let you know that my 73 Year old Mother who really likes your stuff finally got a chance to see and hear it live.. Her comments were.. "That's a very relaxed and in tune man, so that's what you get to be like when you play your guitar all day long :)" I've been telling her all these years, and my Dad as you know was a Jazz Drummer in his Pro Days, so she got to go to all the gigs.. meet all the peeps.. Torme and Crupa and Parker people like that. When My dad introduced me to Mel Torme at an aftershow one night when I took him to see Torme at of all places HUMPHREY'S by the bay..:) I nearly scraped my chin on the floor. They went way back to radio days and when my Dad was gigging around. Some History regardless, but she's got music in the blood as well. She really enjoyed herself, Robert She and I just had it on the surround in the Preproduction Studio. Just wanted to let you know.. :) Enjoy your rest, and when you go to Dublin, you'll be bumping into my friend Sam Whitty again, and I've told him to say hi for me :) Submitting to MTV and others this week, keep your fingers crossed.. and drop on by anytime.. www.adamfox.com Adam Fox
HEY JOE!!! Let me take you WHITEWATER RAFTING while you're on break between legs of the tour. Aside from that everything is OK and I haven't had a chance to try and download the webcast. SEE YA!!
Hey, Joe I'm From Brazil and I just Want to say that:
I became a musician when I saw you play! If wasn't you today I doesn't have a job!
Thanks for your inspiration!
Brzil LOves you
Don't forget us in your tour
GOD, I mean joe, I have been a fan of yours since i heard dreaming #11, and you inspired me to pick up the guitar and learn how to play. I've been trying for years to play "always with me, always with you", and i still cannot get it perfected like you. please help me to follow in your footsteps. Also I see you every time you come to Boston, MA. I look forward to seeing you again. Your faithful follower, Christopher Emmons. 5 cross street, Allenstown, NH 03275
Joe, when are G3 going to tour again. I saw you guys in Michigan at Pine Knob, in `97. You were playing with Vai, Shepard, and Robert Fripp. It was the most amazing show I`d ever seen. You opened me to a whole new world of music, and I thank you for it. I was also wondering, why you didn`t come to Detroit michigan on your Tour? I live in Canada and the closeset venue is Detroit. Oh well, that`s life. I`ve even been trying to get your music played on the radio here. With limited success I have to say.

Hey Joe, Hey Yamboy!!!! The Webcast at first was hard to loggon but I went to EpicRecords.Com, then everything was ok!!! I noticed that the sound at first sounded like Joe was playing his guitar through a Synth machine but when he started greeting the fans on the microphone it sounded the same!!!! Then I decided that I should go into audio mode with the 33.6 and 14.4 mode and the sound was perfect, I just shut my eyes and and let the sonic adventure begin!!! Oh by the way I live about 100km north of Toronto, Canada!!! So if I could get it loud and clear hey!!! It's not quite a perfected technology yet!!! But as phone lines keep upgrading to fiber optics thing should improve gradually as well as better internet services!!! It's what you make it!!! Watching (or listening) to something on the otherside of North America is still amazing either way you look at it!!!! Imagine what we could do with Internet in 10 to 20 years from now!!!! Anyways, enough blabber!!! Plum Loco rides again!!!!!!!!
Kenny: I was hoping to see Eric in Vancouver as well. I asked Joe after the show and he told me that Eric couldn't get across the border into Canada. It's too bad because I was really looking forward to seeing the chemistry of the band with the second guitarist. However, I don't think there was much room to spare on the stage for all his keyboards etc. ;)
WEBMASTER: is there any way you could archive the Philly webcast too? I'd love to see it, and maybe see myself in the audience and see when Joe points to me during Summer Song... If at all possible that would be great! Thanks for saving this one for us though!
Hey Joe! Just a big thanks for the fantastic shows. I sat on your side front row for the Seattle gig. I was wearing the Time Machine shirt one person from the end. At the end you saw me take a picture of you guys taking a bow and asked if I got it. I haven't gotten the film back, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe I could send it to you or the website for posting?! The show was truley amazing! I Am Become Death is haunting. Definetly dig on Raspberry Jam everytime I hear it live, it's jump'n. What a set! Circles, Friends, Surfing, and on and on! I have not missed a tour since seeing Flying in a Blue Dream in Santa Monica, each time is better! Thanks for the pick too! My friend Sean caught the string pack from Stu and a pick from Eric! We were stoked to say the least. To top it off we went up to the Vancouver show. Seats were 2nd to the last row, but there was not a bad view in the house. Made it up to the stage for the encores and.....I caught Stu's string pack! Sweeeeet! What are the chances?! Thanks again for all the great music, memories, and fun. Hope to see you again soon~ Kenny
ps....Oh, just a couple questions! What happened to Eric for Vancouver? Will the webcast make it to cd or dvd? Any way to get the bonus cd? I waited to pick it up on Sat but they didn't have any. When I asked after the show he had one left from giving them away but the guy, just when about to give it to me, handed it off to a young boy standing with his father. The lucky kid! Take care, good luck in Europe!
Hey
I saw your concert on may 20 at the vogue in vancouver. I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it. I am 12 years old and I have been playing guitar for 8 years. I went to the concert with my dad and my guitar teacher. I am in grade five of the london school of music electric guitar program. I spend a lot of time practising lead and scales and it is truely amazing to see you play. I play in a band called Millennium IV, we play alterintive rock, and I dont get use my skills and lead playing much. We have written some songs lately that let me solo. Thank you for the concert your guitar playing was amazing, and thank your crew because we asked at intermission if we could get a pick and they remebered after the show.
cable connect or no cable connect the webcast was jacked.....the webmaster told us in the chatroom that he has seen QT content much better than that and he is working on getting them to encode it better......trust me if it can be done it will get done.
O.K.man this modification would be cool man!but it appears tobe more custom than appeared however it will be accomplished ,I have some other custom ideas to man white z with stripes haha!or hey wait julian why dont you just give me one of the old camaro r.s.,s to drive ?or with hoe from certain females in power at certain locations some of my minor but noticeably awsome custom things can be accomplished be back after police weekend, wolfie
Yeah joe....at last its the next gig...Dublin june 20th, we are honoured to have you visit our city again, cant wait, but will i promise...Rock on Joe.
The webcast link is on the opening page right under the picture of Joe. You have to scroll down to see it, then click on it. Easy as cheese! I watched the webcast this morning WITH SOUND! What a difference :) although they were playing under water...
Where did I read that the webcast would only be archived until 6/9?
Is it so?
Then I would agree that a video of the show would be logical.
And now for a dumb question: is steve vai (yayogakk) THE steve vai?
Is it you?
Eagerly awaiting an answer, even if it is humiliating!!
Tiff.
Well i put the finger right off you!! AC/DC man put the fingers off you man isnt that what its called ? sounds good too me im going to make a moddification to the z which im shure youlle be pleased with then im going to my local city to see if i can notice any kind of team behavioral problems be back in a bit wolfie

Hi Joe - the webcast ROCKED ROCKED ROCKED ROCKED ROCKED ROCKED ROCKED! (7 times for emphasis). Highlights: Cool #9, Flying in A Blue Dream, Devil's Slide (I have a new appreciation for that song), Ceremony, Clouds Race... I missed about a half hour though, (technical difficulties) starting at about 9:45 until about 11:20. That's OK, I can see it again on the archive. Thanks for that provision. I was surprised at the amount of material that you played from Flying though. I listen to that album the least of all your releases. But overall, a stunning performance!
hey hows everyone!? i havent written in a while b
t here is an interesting true story for anyone who wants a little enteratainmen
..... ok let me give you a little background information about my day before th
webcast so you know what i am talking about. i had recently attended the april
29th satriani concert in philly and thought that it was amazing so naturally i
anted to watch the webcast that was being broadcasted on the 19th to remember a
l the excitment of the month before. there was some party that someone from my
chool was throwing that night and i skipped it without thinking twice since the satriani concert was that night. so here i am already to watch the satriani concert that starts at 8 o'clock when i realize that it starts at 8 o'clock PST and not EST. so since i live near philly i had to wait another three hours before enjoying the concert. so, you know i wasted a little time... played some sony playstation watched waynes world, the usual. then 5 minutes before the webcast started, i had my quicktime 4.0 player, that i had recently downloaded open and was waiting for satriani to come out and start the show. about a minute after i had brased myself for the grand enterance of joe, my computer froze. frantaclly i restarted my computer. after it booted up again i tried to access the satriani.com website. for some reason it wouldn't load. i was more than very upset. i was crying my little heart out. finally after about 5 minutes of that i remembered that you could access the webcast from the epic records site. so i went there and got everything up and running a-ok! i had missed almost all of "time". o well i said to myself.. i still have the rest of the night. well after a while pf watching satriani and a little heart break from finding out i had not won the contest... my computer froze again right in the middle of stu's bass solo. quicly i restarted my computer and as it booted up i realized my key board was not working. so there was no way i could get to the site. but luckely i remembered that i had saved a copy of the chat with joe i had been in and there was a link to the main page from that page. so i made again but this time not only had i missed stu i missed almost all of "mystical potatohead groove thing" one of my all time favorite satch songs! but everything was happy again after you played surfing with the alien and i was happy going to sleep at 2 o'clock in the morning! you sure do know how to make a dull night bright! later --jon
I rediscovered Joe Satriani this May at "Sunfest" in West Palm Beach Florida. After the first song, I was overwhelmed. Joe's music and his warm personality really lifted my spirits after feeling blue and down in the dumps for several days. My wife noticed my happiness and excitement right away when I returned from the show (which was "too heavy" for her LOL). Since that show, I have become a fan member, purchased additional CD's and logged on to the live webcast, which by the way played almost flawlessly. ( I have a cable modem which helps a lot. ) Anyway, I want to sum up and say Thank You Joe for sharing the gift of your incredible music with myself and others. PS thanks also for the guitar pic! Peace my friend...
Joe! You never cease to amaze me...concert last night was awesome...beyond belief. All three of you were dead on...the music was encredible. But, hey!!! what's up with not stopping to chat with a couple of your most loyal fans outside afterwards eh??? I'm the guy that was standing there, soaked, in the white jacket...holding my camera. Remember me?? Anyways, it doesn't really matter...I'm not an obsessed, freak fan or anything. But it would have been nice...oh well. Your playing just gets better and better every time I see you man!! keep it up! later. Matt p.s. I suggest getting a CABLE connection to all those who had complaints about the webcast. It came through crystal clear, with near CD quality sound when I watched. Phone lines are dead!!

The picture on quick time is much better, great to be able to watch it all again on the archived version, whenever i want! i missed half the original concert due to problems downloading quick time, but got there eventually...sound is a bit tinny, though, and patchy.. sound is not so good as media player webcast. i have a 56k modem.
Hi Joe first of all i would just like to say how much of an insparation you have been on me and my playing&o say that it was crushing day,Summer Song,& The mystical pottato Head Grove Thing that got me my grade A in Higer music in 1998 so thanks a million,
It is my Dream to meet you and im going to see you at the manchester appolo on june the 24th and would do anything to meet you and was wondering if it was possible to do that as i would love to get a few things signed and also have my photo taken with you
take care and keep the exellent work going into the next millenium if its possible
Stewart the fretboard wizzard
Hey Jon (yamboy)... I have a modem hook-up & the picture & sound were great for me, except for problems I had when I couldn't see or hear the first 45 minutes The overall sound quality was much better than the MediaPlayer webcast & I was actually able to see the video this time, the last time was terrible. I just started watching the archive, so I'll have to get back to you on that. Thanx... John aka =o|-[
Here it is Sunday morning and my ears are still ringing from Joe's show in Seattle on Friday night! My next mission will be to go out and complete my Satriani collection so I can hear more...and more...and more. Joe, thanks so much for sharing your talent with the world. Your performance was truly a pleasure to behold. My wife saw a side of me that she did not know existed (we have been together for over 12 years, but never attended a rock concert together till now). The ticket stub is now on the same photo album page as my Led Zeppelin, the Who, Foghat, Hagar, Beck-Bogert-Appice, and other classic ticket stubs! I will be there the next time you decide to remove the roof from another building in Seattle. And yeah, no ear protection then...can't dilute the sound.
The picture of the broadcast was poor, which is expected on a 56K modem, but to my surprise, the audio sounded like Joe was playing a steel drum. Terrible treble on this concert! Joe- why do you favor Apple/Mac? Move to the future!

I just watch the webcast and sound + video was very good. Sound did not
cut off... and I'm using an old macintosh 7600/120 mhz and a 56 k
modem. Thanks for a good show.
Webmaster, I heard mixed reactions on the webcast. My experience was a decent picture, but no sound. My husband thought that if he disconnected from the site, then connected again, he might get sound. Nope, we got nothing for another 53 minutes till I finally could connect to the site again. What a pisser! I got a few minutes of sound, enough to know they were playing Circles, then it cut out again. I got my setlist and all my c.d.'s and when the lights went down after Circles, I started playing UWSG in my diskman. I'm sure I had better sound than any p.c. was giving out! I knew by Joe's licks if I was ahead or behind. I could pause the diskman for the band to catch up, but if I came in late I couldn't catch up (no FF button). I was dead on with some of the songs, which was really cool, but Joe would lose me when he hung on at the end of a song (along with everyone at home playing along with their own guitars). It was a cool show and I'm glad we had the chance to see it. It was so cool seeing the band from the stage point of view. Jeff is always way tucked in the back. Joe NEEDS to make a video of this tour!! p.s. - did you get the pic of Eric & Jeff I sent you?
I couldn't watch or listen to the webcast much, video was choppy, audio went on and off constantly, mostly off. Since I saw the show in Orlando, I'm not too disappointed.Just a suggestion but, HOW ABOUT A CONCERT VIDEO to buy?? I bet everybody on this board and that attended the concerts would be interested!! Please consider this, I want to see and hear the concert over and over again. Set up the video camera during the tour, anybody else interested?? Let them know, NOW!!!!
Hi. Portugal again... I'm having some problems to watch the webcast... I've downloaded QuickTime 4.xxx and it just gives me an error sayng that it doesn't understand the format f the file (everytime I press the "What Webcast" button). I didn't watch the webcast live because it was at 4AM here in Portugal, but I'm very interested in watching it since it will be archived until June the 9th..........Don't forget Portugal Joe... Bye
yeah but malmsteen is a pioneer! he started the whole neoclassical craze so i think he should be on G3.....arrogant egotistical punk or not, as long as he plays his geeetar and looks like it's all good then he should be on, malmsteen for G3 !!! ill be the first in line baby!
I heard that if there's going to be another G3, that there's rumored to be Joe Satriani (of course), along with Steve Vai (as always), but the third member will be Yngwie Malmsteen! That guy's arrogant as hell and is a prick. Sure, he's a badass guitarist. But why not an underdog who is just as brilliant and much more compassionate; like Buckethead. Buckethead is an AMAZING guitarist and actually has been playing the quasi-techno music with shred abilities like Joe's new CD (which I must say is the best Satriani yet, finally escaping the 80s metal guitarist sound and pushing towards technology). But anyway, I don't know how anyone else feels on this subject. I just thought that incorporating Buckethead on a G3 tour will be the best tour ever and Buckethead should be more well known for his playing capabilities and with all of the styles that he actually plays (which isn't just quasi-techno with head-spinning solos). If you all get the chance check out "Monsters & Robots" by B-head.
Hi Joe. Just saw you in Vancouver and have to tell you that the show was great. You put in so much effort especially since you just did two 3 hour shows in a row. I also met you afterwards at the aftershow party. I would have liked to talk to you more but you looked really tired, and I didn't want to keep you from a well-deserved good night's sleep any longer than necessary. It's too bad Eric couldn't get through customs, I was looking forward to seeing him play as well as perhaps meeting him later. So in closing, thank you very much for everything, particularly for your courtesy towards your fans. Take care.
i just watched the stu bass solo from the archived webcast! stu is the most insane bassist ever, doesnt he ever get tired of playing the same solo every gig? hey checkit steve vai & yngwie malmsteen! looks like yngwie got pissed and broke the headstock off vai's guitar.... http://www.yngwie.org/gallery/images/Yng&Steve3.JPG
hey just a thought, would it be possible to setup the archive to just output the audio..maybe in mono? The video feed is cool, but it's no good with the audio constantly cutting out...just a suggestion....
hey I'm trying ta view the archive of the show on a 56K..but the audio still keeps cutting out :( .. if anyone has any suggestions on how to configure quicktime better for this let me know.thanks
Joe - played a show with JR Riccio tonight...man was it hot!! He played his dedication song to you...you would love it = ) you have a flyer for the show that JR slipped into the Surfing CD he gave you in NY after show = )
Joe, Saw you at Humphreys in San Diego with my wife of 20 years. We sat in the second row and had a great time. I was very pleased to see Stu playing Bass for you. This was the fourth time for me and first for my wife. Your shows get better everytime. It's a pleasure to see you enjoying yourself on stage. I have been unable to find a review for your show, so I can asume that it must of kicked ass. Keep the music coming. Love your show

hey folks, sorry for the brief downtime on posting to this page. didn't have connectivity until i got back from seattle. so far, it sounds like people on modems had a not-so-great experience with quicktime, but those on dsl and such had a very good one. we'd like to hear if your experience changes while watching the on-demand archive of the show over the next few weeks. the archive is up and on a 56k modem the audio is pretty poor. i'll see what we can do to get an improved version available.
great show joe.....worked out how to find the 300kbs show with ChrisB and it was sweet! cant wait till you get australia to see you 10metres in front of me not 10,000km! ---- btw. the un-list wishes you well -- later

Hey, Joe!! I have seen many Brazilians here tonight!Everybody say, here in Brazil, that you are one of the best guitar player in the world, I know they are right!! I just can't wait to see you here , giving us a concert!
Hey Joe first off I wanted to tell you you ROCK MAN thanks for all the years of killer music. I have a question for you, my girlfriend has a son and all he listened to was rap until I came in the picture he did'nt think highly of metal or good rock. At first he accepted what I listened to, which is Christian metal and a lot of Pink Floyd and of course You, I also play drums for a Christian rock band called 3n1. Our CD was recently released and since we now have three songs off our CD being played on the radio he started listining to it and checking out the rest of my music in my cd archives. Needless to say he went from rap (don't get me wrong I don't knock any style of music as long as it's good)to listining to Korn and Limp Bizkit etc. He finally found Surfing With The Alien and liked it (way cool), after listining to Crystal Planet (the song) he asked me is that a guitar making those sounds I replied yes and showed him the rest of your music. Now he is interested in getting a guitar and playing but I dont know where to tell him to start. So after all these words what I'm trying to get at is what scales and chord progessions should I satch with I mean start with letting him learn from, or should I just leave him be and let him try to figure it out for himself. Sorry I wrote a book for you to read but hey I need to find out.
Thanx, Robert "Animal" Norris
Hey Joe,
Can't wait for the webcast tonight. My company can thank you for my increased productivity this Friday night - I've been working since 8 this morning until now 9 pm (Eastern Time) so I can stay at the office and watch the webcast in style over our T1 line :)
By the way, the contest is an AWESOME idea! Kudos to whoever thought of it. I already have your full discography, but the videos and the guitar/amp would be very cool, not to mention having a lesson with the greatest guitarist alive!
I also want to thank you for the guitar.com videos. Since watching them, I have started to focus more on getting more familiar with the sounds of each mode, and playing chords in different positions. It's too early to really see a difference, but I'm sure it will improve my playing.
I just saw you in DC a few weeks ago - it was the best show I've ever seen! Looking forward to another great show tonight! You are the best!
Hey Joe!! Any chance for you and the guys to come to Montreal in the future months?? Last time I saw you was for the G3 concert in 97, it was awesome... hope to see you live again!!!

Hi Joe and the others.
Today - my first meeting with your Engines... Great work !!! I dont know why some people dont understand the music. Music is not only speed solos on the guitar. Music is music. I relaxed, turned off the lights, and that was it. One more time, great album. I am from small country Montenegro in Europe ( 600 000 people )and I know you`ll never come here to play, but we have great beach and sea, so you are welcome.

Feelin' ill today { blue flu? } so thought it would be a good night to call in sick. Of cousre it doesn't hurt that Satch is scheduled to do a live web-cast tonight! I'll be tuning in and, I'm sure, feeling much better once Satch and Co. take the stage.
Hey Joe! Stoked about the webcast. How bout play'n more Engines stuff?...would love to hear FLAVOR CRYSTAL and POWER COSMIC 2 or ATTACK live? That would be really cool. After all it is an Engines tour, right?...i'll be watch'n.
Joe, hello
I saw you March 11, 1998 at the House of Blues in L.A. and again just recently at the Wilturn Theatre. You and the band were great and I was not a bit disapointed in the show. I've been buying your music since Surfin With The Alien. At your show at the House of Blues in '98, I was lucky enough to catch one of your Crystal Planet pics during the show. Keep rockin' Joe love the new stuff (as usuall) take care and good luck with all that you strive for.
Drewz
Mr Satriani, Thanks for the show tonight, tommorrow is my birthday and tonight is the best present/next to being at the show, that I could receive. THANKS
Sincerely and Respectfully,
David M Levin
Joe...every time I see you live (8 times) I want to know how you can remember your solos so well. So many notes, so little time...I can play some of your songs somewhat, and it's hard to remember the the order of the notes much less pull them off technically,....you amaze me (as an individual) in your apparent photographic memory of remember your solos. I suppose you'll tell me something like "luke...you must FEEL the notes, not remember them (use the force?)" .. in any event help out a struggling 20 year veteran of the lute.
Hi Joe! Looking forward to tonight.. Robert and I are going to check it out from the Studio. We'll put it up in Surround and run a video to the 27".. Much luck and success with tonight.. if you play like you did in San Diego the other night.. no problem.. :) My best to your family.. the new single Golden Rules is on my website now.. so is a copy of the Anthem I submitted to the Padres for consideration.. it's a one through but what better way to see what it's gonna sound like? :) Lots of new music and info on Jemfest 2000.. Drop on by anytime you're always welcome.. www.adamfox.com Adam Fox

Hi Joe, I'm studing at Madrid and I've been looking for the "Additional creations" bonus cd, but I haven't been lucky, Could you tell me where can I find it here? I'm attending at your concert on july 03 in Madrid and I can't wait to see you playing, good luck in your tour!
An interesting twist of fate: I had just discovered this week that my company is looking to outsource my department which means I may lose my job so needless to say I was pretty bummed out this week. Two days ago in the mail, I received my "Additional Creations" CD in the mail. I had ordered my "Engines of Creations" CD" through Warehouse.com in hopes that I would get the bonus CD but no luck. It was a nice surprise to finally receive it, even if late. Furthermore, this morning I received an email that I HAD WON THE BACKSTAGE PASSES to the Vancouver concert tomorrow. I didn't think I would win at all. Needless to say, I'm euphoric and somehow the possibility of me losing my job just seems so insignificant somehow. Thanks to Joe and everyone involved in Satriani.com for making a positive difference in peoples lives.
Hey Joe, you're big!!!!!!, can you tell me please: if you studied guitar? because im studying Clasical Guitar, and i wanna be a great guitarrist someday, and i want you to give some advice if this is good or not.
Thanks a lot!!!!
Thank you for the opportunity to meet all of you last night. The show was really good. I cant wait to get my pictures back. Thanks for letting me wear your hat. Joe, you have such a wonderful personality. Stew, I enjoyed talking to you. Best wishes for you and your family. Eric and Jeff really rocked out. Loved it all. Thanks again. I can't wait to have you come back to Portland.:)
One more thing, thanks for the opportunity to see ya live. Can't wait -- Love the music. By far the best guitarist I've ever seen or heard!!!!!!! Rock On!!
Joe,
I'm just starting out playing guitar and I need a little advice. What is better to learn on, electric or acoustic? I finally decided to learn the guitar at the age of 36, I figured it's never too late to learn. Your music has inspired me to learn. Thanks, Chris
Hey Joe, break a leg at the concert tonight...I will be trying to watch it on my lovely 56.6 k.
I just think it is a shame that all of the non-American fans are left out of the drawing. That is kinda unfair...I mean I would have to drive for two days straight to get to the nearest concert, so the webcast is a somewhat acceptable solution. (I really do appreciate it though!) It just kinda sucks not to be an American Satch fan. The webcast is as close as I could get to a show on this tour, I couldn't buy a bonus CD and I can't even get entered in the contest.
I just pray that the winner isn't some bonehead that:
a) doesn't play guitar (what a waste the guitar and lesson would be);
b) is a fairweather fan that doesn't love every single Satch tune;
c) already owns such a SWEET guitar setup (I am stuck trying to play on a half-inch-high-action Samick Strat-Wannabe plugged into a 15 W Samick amp.)
Oh well, hopefully I will win some Satch merchandise in the playlist drawing.
Once again, break a leg tonight man. You are my guitar-playing hero. You are The New Mexico Kid. (Don't ask me what that means, but it is good!)
Rene
Webcast day! This is going to be great! I hope I don't have any problems getting on the site. Last night I tryed for 2 hours before I gave up. There's also some wicked storms coming this way on the east coast. Everybody wear your rubber booties and get your p.c.'s grounded (rubber guitar guy Kirk - just hang on to your rubber guitar :)lol! I'm so jacked up for this show! Also the end of the U.S. tour. Thanks for the great shows Joe! Good luck tonight and for the rest of the tour. Take care of each other. peace** (HI M&M)
Hello Joe!!
How the hell do you play the sweep picking bit on the Crushing Day solo??
It is driving me mad!!
When are you coming to the UK again?? The last one I managed to get to was in 1995(?) at Wembly Arena in London, I was totally blown away!
Best wishes
Matt Johnson (Number 1 fan in the UK)
YES! I'm the first in on webcast day!!! ======= Play the ENTIRE Engines of Creation tonight JOE! Don't just tease us before Summer Song. (and save it for last) ======= Good luck to everyone for the contest. I just hope it's one of us who win and not someone who doesn't know Joe from Curly! : )
