Re: MegaBoyd... I saw the DT / KWS show at the Jackson Rancharia Casino in Jackson, CA, on April 26. If you look for tickets though, be careful... I think DT is off the road right now, but KWS is still playing solo dates. So if you want to see them both, I'd do a ticketmaster search for Kenny Wayne Shepherd and then a search for Double Trouble and then look for the dates that match up. ...Austin...

Hey Joe! It is a strange thing,I am from L.I. too.I have noticed that a lot of fantabulous musicians come from the island. Why is that?I.E. Blue Oyster Cult.I am from Oyster bay.I lived there for 16 years.Where you born there?
MINOR7 - that would be excellent! maybe a medley of classical tunes, now we're talkin' !!!!! classical rock bwahahahahaha........ YOU'VE BEEN.......THUNDERSTRUCK!!!! da na na na na na na
Hey Satch.
Just wanted to say thanks.
Thanks for creating your method of playing.
Its helped me out on mine.
Ever since I learned, "Always with you, Always with me. Ive been addicted to your style. and now Ive created my own.
thanks to a knowledge of about 25 of your songs. i just wished i could see you live instead of on video dagggggguuuummmmiiiiittttttttt!
Well just wanted to say thanx!
Coby.
"For those about to rock...FIRE!! We sa-lute you!" If you wanna talk ACCA DACCA, then "Thunderstruck" would be another awesome jam song. Imagine the crowd chanting!
And now, kids, an amusing story. My dad just told me a few days ago about taking a date to a Led Zeppelin concert in his youth. His date watched Robert Plant prancing around the stage for a while, then turned to dad and said "Gee, I didn't know Led was such a sexy guy!" Duh!
EVHASTONGUECANCER and Cut- and - Pasters suck!
Hi JOE. Please think about another Pennsylvania date.I live in central Pa and it is a 5 hour drive (one way) to philly.I have been to the other g3's in Pittsburgh(2 hour drive one way)and want to keep my streak alive.Being a family man, like yourself i have to spend my money wisely.G3is worth every penny and worth the trip.please consider pittsburgh or even State College. Thanks for the opportunity to e-mail you.love your music, keep rockin, vetteman
Love the cover of the upcoming DVD/CD "Live in SF". Can't wait for the DVD to come out. Joe, any chance of the G3 tour coming out to Asia or Australia?
THE NUT - JOE did ask YNGWIE last year and he said yeah! I've read interviews where Yngwie says he likes Steve's playing and others where he dislikes him. He doesn't know what his opinion's are! ... .... ...... EVHTOUNGECANCER - so you hate LITTLE STEVIE VAI EH? For SHAME! . . . . SMARTWEBMASTER - y...yess...indeed................. PLUM/YA YO - 3-PEAT BOYS!!!
Well I Guess Via gets another freebee and gets to tour with Joe. Sure cant wait till Joe tours by himself, Its always a unreal show, too bad I will have to pass the G3 tour. not enuf Joe. Well there is always the DVD to get me through till Joe tours by himself again.
:(
Bummin in Florida
Hey Joe how about "While My Guitar Gently Wheeps" by the Beatles and then "Jeff Heally"?? I think someone wants a 3-peat! Well here is one of the original members of that little gag! Peace......Plum Loco Rides Again!
Yngwie would have rocked at G3 but he wouldn't do it even if he were asked, because he can't stand Steve Vai and he's not too keen on Joe either. If only there were no ethical issues involved with locking him in a cage with a strip of gaffa tape over his mouth to stop his endless b*tching, and THEN put him on a stage with Vai and Satch. That really WOULD be an awesome show... COME TO ENGLAND WITH G3 JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ledbetter Heights by Kenny Wayne Shepherd for the jam tune. Kick a$$.
Hey guys !!! How are you doing?? Can't wait for the new album & DVD. Of course i hope the G3-tour will also come to Europe. Stu, are you still thinking of a B3?? and an Outbound-tour?? Really would love that. Don't care where in Europe, we'll go there :) Hope to see you soon again. Take care, Sandra & Kornelis from Holland.
Joe or Webmaster: Are there going to be any more east coast dates added to the G3 Tour? Please respond, some of us needs to make plans(plane reservations) as far in advance since so far the tour is bypassing Virginia, NC, & SC. A definitive answer quickly would be helpful, thanks in advance, Michael
Dear EVHTONGUECANCER,
While I myself am not a big fan of the way Ed handles things on a band level he has never done me any harm. Nor do I believe he has done you any harm on a personal level. As a fan we have reason to gripe about what he does in the entertainment industry but thats it. To say the things you did were just mean. Cancer is nothing to laugh at. Would you want someone making fun of you if you ever got it? I think not. Would you make fun of Joe or Steve if the got it? What about your own parents or, The All Mighty forbid, your own children. Would you find it so funny then? What has he ever done to you personally to cause you to be so hurtful? Never mind the comments on his playing. That is a matter of opinion and no one can take that away from you, thanks be to our founding fathers. But why try to hurt someone like that? Is your life so empty or are you so sadistic a being that you get off on things like this? I sure hope cancer never touches your family. But if it does your actions here today will haunt you.Locust7
Someone thinks they are funny. What a DA. Joe, come to UTAH!! PLEASE!! Also provide some samples of the new live album!! That would be nice. Remember, UTAH and samples!!!
And now for something completely different ======= elpp2, there IS a live CD sample ... 3 songs, was on TV no less (UPN) ... LIVE at the Fillmore series ... the unlist is batting around a tape of the show ... should be on it's way to Canada by now. : )
Totally tasteless and disrespectful. If we're gonna have a smart-ass here we better get addam fox back.==========I hadn't seen a fractured arm in a while. Last Sunday some dude in our soccer league fell really bad, and the worst part is that the bone opened a hole in his skin. Real bad. So the lesson learned is never fall with your arms in front. You're better off rolling on your side.========LIVE CD SAMPLES, PLEASE!!!! Later.
So did you guys hear about my tongue cancer? Yeah I'm strugglin'. I guess that's what I get for being a heavy smoker and an alcoholic though, right? Well, looks like Van Halen's not going to make another record. I'll retire and live on my millions, because I know I'm a hasbeen, and I'll still be the same self-centered egomaniac I've always been. Well Joe, I'll pass the crown of world's greatest rock guitarist down to you, because there really isn't anybody left other than Steve Vai, and you know how much I hate him. Well, I gotta go, Valerie's yelling at me again!

Hey Nitsua111,
You saw Kenny Wayne Shepard last week? Where did you see him at? My friend & I have been trying to see him for awhile I guess we just weren't looking hard enough for tickets. man he blew me away when I saw him at G3!!!
Hello Joe. I am a public school music teacher in LaGrange Park, Illinois. Last week, I used your song, "Cryin'" for one on our listening activities. The students were supposed to pick different words that would go with that song, and then use them to write a short paragraph that would also go with that song. This is what one of my students wrote:
I feel my life taking a turn
My friends, my life left me; I feel unwanted
Can this chage? Can this chage? I don't know
I feel my life taking a turn
I pray to God that I can be better
In the middle of the night I cry to see no one there...
A curse has left me but came back
One day it will go away
I realize that God will always be there for me
No one to help me, none to be scareds with me
I am not a nothing, I am me.
Thank you for writing such a beautiful song. You can see it really helped my students bring their feelings out in the open, for others to see. That is really important for today's kids.
Thank you for such wonderful music!
Florentin
Hey!....How 'bout some KANSAS Jam along....like "Carry on my wayward son"..... Satch Steve and John could think up something interesting for that one....Or a Jeff Porcaro tribute (to one of the most awesome drummer dudes ever to sit behind the kit) like "Hold the Line"....Or how 'bout VAN HALEN...."Mean Streets"
I love the rhythm on that one!!......Right-on YaYo!!...Now playing...Paul Gilbert "Let the Computer Decide"....Keep them life changin' tunes comin' JOE!! Peace, Mike
Hello Mr. Satriani and to all who post to talk to Joe, It's great to see more
Australians posting here. All posts seem to have the same theme too, namely
"come to Australia." Do you see what I'm saying. Something to think about...
maybe... Anyway, your music has really inspired my guitar playing and I hope
that I can see you live some time in the future. Cheers,
Petrucci´s gonna "CREATE" new song´s for this G3.Its on his website. And he also gonna play old songs tunes too.Im soooo HAPPY =0) Tanx for this G3 Satch!! You have to come back to México whit the G3 man!!Please!!
Joe, Get your ass down to Ausralia for some shows.... And Get Petrucci down here while your at it!
I recently followed Deep Purple around OZ when they played here in March, and had the pleasure to spend a few hours chatting to Roger, and met Steve a few times. Great Guys. Any chance of doing an album with Steve soon? An all geeetar album from 2 of my fave geetarists (add John Petrucci to make it 3)
Cheers
Hi everyone...it's me again...LOL. Re: Mud Grunt at the Fillmore show. You mention being two people back from the sign guys (MegaBoyd)...what night were you there? Because I was two people back from them too...I had third row dead center both nights. We were probably standing right next to each other...LOL. I was the kid wearing glasses, with the white longsleeved shirt and black Engines Of Creation tour shirt...not that you'd remember me, but yeah. ===== Re: LZ's Rock And Roll as a cover song... I saw Double Trouble and Kenny Wayne Shepherd last week (did I mention that on here?) and Double Trouble did R And R. It sounded great. It's on their CD, but I didn't have it before the show, so it was a complete surprise to me. Well, that's all for now. ...Austin...
Ya Yo : I hate to break it to you and others here, but neither Keneally nor Rudess will be on G3. Petrucci will be playing with Portnoy and Dave LaRue, and I'm not sure who'll be with Vai, but I know that Keneally and Mangini won't be in it. So much for LTE4G3... It'll still rock, though!!
Hey Joe, I'm new here. I'm learning your stuff and I was wondering there's an easy way to play those smooth hammerons and pulloffs that flow all over the fretboard. Is there a trick? When I first heard them, I thought you were tapping but after buying the Extremist book I found out that they are really a long series of hammerons and pulloffs. THey sound real cool. I was just wondering if you could give me a tip about how to pull them off. THanks. sam.
Hey Joe , maybe you can talk to Val and see if she will let Edward come out and play at a G3 , that would just about do it for me . Joe , Steve and Eddie . WELL the only thing that could top that would be if Dave showed up to sing a song or two !!!!!!!!!.........C YA
My suggestion for G3... Mediterranean Sundance/Rio Ancho. Now, G3 could have SOME fun trying to put some eyebrows on THAT little number. If anyone does not know what that song is go to CDNow & look up Friday Night In San Francisco under album title, you'll be glad you did. I'm super happy about the Toronto date & still hoping for Montreal (even though it'd be late for the Formula 1 race!). As always, smooches . . . » Phy³ . . .
end jam = rudess/keneally playing a ton of sh*t on keyboards while portnoy/campitelli beat the hell out of the drums.....joe/steve/john just cut loose....like a 15 minute song, just one giant huge instrumental thing going from one song to the next playing hendrix/beck/VH/zeppelin and whatever else.......
Hi Joe!!!
What's Up??
Greetings from Chile, I really hope you could come here to south america for the G3 Tour, I know it's hard.... but I'm sure that if you come here, the gigs will be totally sold out, 'cause here in Chile we like you a lot!!!
Anyway... i was thinking....how 'bout playing Toto's "Hold The Line" in the jam.... I'm sure it would sound really great played by you guys...ok...i'm getting tired of writing....so....bye Joe!!!
say hi to Steve and John from me!!!
hey joe! i have a great idea for a contest! how about the winner receives a dvd player! id love to watch your new dvd but not only do i not own one, i dont know anyone who does.
John Petrucci is gonna have to bring liquid tesion experiment with him for some awsome instramentals if any of the people on T2J havent herd them yet i suggest you do they are amazing. and joe i think that xrobs idea wasnt bad cant wait to see you guys. and how about them lessons man? peace. Justin
Every once in a while, I come up with a pretty good idea. Here are a couple: ======= 1) During your G3 sets, you might take a moment to recognize a few fans in attendance who are frequent posterz here on T2J. Something like this, ".. YEAH! That was Crushing Day, a popular request on my website. [if you're in Ft. Worth, you'd say] Is XROB here? [and I'd say "HOLY CRAP!!! RIGHT HERE, JOE!!" and I'd jump up and down and scream my head off. And you'd laugh at me, but I'd love it. Then you'd continue ...] ... and here's another popular request - The Forgotten. [and we'd all go nuts]". Well, something like that. Yamboy could give you a few names each night that you might recognize. It couldn't hurt, right? ======= 2) After your 10-song set, you could have Stu give us a bass solo while the techs get Portnoy's drums back out there. Then Portnoy could have at it while Stu takes a breather. Then the jam. No offense to Jeff, but Portnoy is in a league all his own. ======= Zenn La's got a good idea about the jam. How about this: a medley of Joe,Steve,John tunes where (for instance) Joe would watch John and Steve rip into Hordes of Locusts, then Steve would watch Joe and John rip into Jibboom, then John would watch Steve and Joe rip into Paradigm Shift, etc., etc. ======= Yamboy, I guess you need to say something about any Euro-plans so these guys can relax.
A1surfer, Iam trying very hard of looking out for tickets for warfield, how much does it cost, Any News, email me for details, or just email me, guitarstrat1@hotmail.com..~Danny~
so what's PETRUCCI gonna play? It's gotta be instrumental... that's what G3 is man! DANG YNGWIE WOULDA KICKED ASS! .... ERIC JOHNSON WAS UNBELIEVABLE! RED HOUSE!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE (I think thats enough pleases) come to the U.K soon! Last time you were here you totally rocked the joint and left all your fans glued to their seats and totally stunded. We want that to happen again so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, (I THINK YOU GET THE DRIFT) Come back to the U.K soon and rock us all again!!
*Stormchild*
Can I do a three-peat? RENO AND SAN DIEGO ARE ONSALE AT TICKETMASTER. DENVER WILL GO ONSALE ON 5/12, ALSO ON TICKETMASTER. Let's keep everyone informed. Later.
There's no point in covering a Britney Spears song if she's not gonna be there on stage... hmmmmmmm, young lust..... So, I'm concluding that Young Lust by Pink Floyd should be the jam song... anything but Hendrix-overplayed-tunes. And let's hope one of the jam songs changes from night to night, for all of us who will see you guys more than once. Later.
HEY JOE! YO JOE!!! LOOKIE HERE =)!!!
Any chance if you come to britain (at the apolo manchester plz.) could yer wing one of ya chrome boys at a little boy called kevin brigden....
gooooooo ooooon... i now in your rightous excellence you'ld like tp do that =)
cheers (kev the butt kissing brigden)
G3 Jam songs: White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. Or I want a medley of
everybody's non-set songs with the other guys playing the playing the lead
parts. That might enable Satch to play 'Flow My Tears..." With Stu... and we
could, like, hear Vai solo over 'Under a Glass Moon' and JP will play on a
piece like, say, 'Angel of Death,' and of course Satch will play over 'Blue
Powder'. And they will all join up for a rousing chorus of 'Crushing Day'.
People would puke from the excitement... it'd be like that scene in Stand
By Me with Lardass... also they should think about a little something jazz
like 'Giant Steps'.---------Joe, why don't you jam on 'Trip Like I Do
(non-Filter version)?
I'll be comin down to the warfield gig most likely, 'cause it seems G3 won't be up in the pacific northwest...it'll be my first time at the warfield. Man, G3 is gonna be awesome!!!
Mega Boyd - Mud Grunt is the person who posted right after you last night (22:10) and he says he saw the sign also. Yeah, as the show gets closer let's figure out how to hook up. Anyone else going to the Warfield gig? .............. Playing "Not Of This Earth" right now at work. Joe - you are the man!!!!!!!!!!!!
Al Surfer- That was pretty much the whole idea.I knew of the dvd before hand and I was at disneyland a couple of weeks before the show, I saw the toy and I just had to get it. Both my brothers and some friends of mine were at the first show and when I wasn't waving it they all wanted their own turn.It was cool for us cause even if we didn't get on the dvd we still got props from the band that night. As for the Warfield show whoever gets their first should save a spot in line what do you say? One more question what does Mud Grunt mean?
Tie Your Mother Down by Queen or Baby One More Time by britney Spears - no i haven't gone mad, Dweezil Zappa did an awesome cover of the song and it would sound great beefed up - it really is a good basic song!!
Hello Joe,
Glad to see you have a date to play here in Austin, Texas. My son & I saw you last year at the Austin Music Hall which of course was great. But the highlight for me and my son was when you signed my Ibanez JS1000 at the Austin Wherehouse
music store. I have been a long time fan and my fifteen year old son has been hooked since he saw you live. Wish you all the best and looking forward to the show.
Regards,
Tony
Hey Joe, I was curious if you will be returning to Minneapolis with G3. The '97 date that appeared on the G3 album was phenomenal, and last year's solo performance was truly incredible.
Does anybody know anything about getting commercial radio airplay for independant (unsigned) artists? I'm doing pretty good avoiding the record companies and corporate sell-out/commercialization-and-destruction-of-art-machine so far, but I'd really like to piss them off by going all the way without signing to a label. Anyway, I hope I get to see G3 this time around. http://www.docspagna.com
I just want to say that the success you've garnered over the last 16 years is a well deserved transistion from the humbling beginnings of having the band you with in the early eighties walk out on the playing of your demo. You've paid dues, you persevered past the critics and the lavish praise, earning respect as well as broadening the spectrum of guitar in your own unique way. It only proves to the rest of us that success is there waiting for you if you have the determination to carry thru on your vision. You are a true guitar players guitar player. My hat goes off to you sir.
Hey! When will you coming Japan with G3? If when G3 comes, please play with
Ventures. So Steve Lukather is good too.Japanese Guitar boys are looking forward
to your GIGS whether solo or G
alright then cover some jeff beck tunes, how about FREEWAY JAM or LED BOOTS...a good one would be STAR CYCLE, that tune rox!!!!!......now playing - wake up dead
Hi Joe... I'm your big fan from Indonesia....I want to ask you...when you will be coming to Indonesia.... I'll be very-very happy if you came and play in here or maybe just make a music clinic like Paul gilbert...and I bet there is so many of your big fans in here.....sorry if my english bad....I hope you reply my mail....
Yamboy, a couple people have expressed interest in you adding ticket availability dates to the tour section. I think that would be an excellent addition. See if you can make it happen ... ======= Oh, and I second waynus's idea of Led Zep's Rock N Roll for a cover jam.
G3 2001 in MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL !!!! !!!! !!!! !!!!
Tons of support here in the TwinCities. We would love to see the tour stop here again!
also -
THUMBS UP on inviting JOHN PETRUCCI to join the G3 tour !!
Hey Joe, I just wanted to say thanks for writing personally to me a few days ago in the section...man i was soooo touched....im still speachless about it...so thanks for making mine, and everyones lives that bit more enjoyable.....peace champ....DarkDream(theatre)
MegaBoyd - lol now, not at the time! I say you owe Mud Grunt and I a drink and all will be forgiven, haha. Your sign/toy was cool at first but then it just got in the way. I was abouit 10 rows/people back from you and everyone was getting tired of it. But hey, you might have the last laugh - it will probably make the dvd!!! Let's hook up at the show. Later.
JOE Good choice for Pavilion. That show will be right on the Boston Harbor so any boats out there in the harbor or anywhere near there will hear you rock! I' am so pumped. When do the tickets go on sale?????!!!!! Have a good day joe, be safe and be happy. Later....Craig
Joe!! Awesome addition for G3!! Petrucci is great and will blend with you and Vai technicality and with feel!! Hmmmm....for cover tunes.....how about My sharona, Free Bird, Cocaine, Hot Blooded, Sultans of Swing, Don't Look Back or Long Time by Boston good harmonies there and Vai or Petrucci could do the beginning organ part by tapping!! Awesome!!! Led Zep tune would be cool too. I know that Van Halen did a version of Rock n Roll and there are a lot of good chhances for solos in there. Please bring G3 to the Philippines!! Just come here for a show. More song suggestions later.
Hello Joe!! Being part of a prog metal band in Geneva, Switzerland, I was wandering if you ever planned to come and tour Europe with the G3 line up... It would be such an awesome show, and we don't get many of those around lately! Being a huge fan of yours, but a fan as well of Steve and John, let me get down on my knees and beg you: "PLLEEAASSSZZEEEE, come to Europe!!" Paris, London, Berlin, Milan, Geneva (that would be great!! In the new Arena, you could easily fill up that one!!!)... but come to Europe!!! Raaahh!!
On another note, and as I said in the beginning, I'm part of a prog-metal band called Angel Smile. We are about to record our second album (in july 01). Please, go and visit our website at www.angelsmile.ch. I'm the bass player, and the guitar player, called Man, is one of your great fan. I actually brought him one of your authograph (as well as one of Steve) that you dedicated to me in Boston, at Tower Records and he barely survived the shock!!! But please, do visit our website, if you get the time!!
I wish you the best in everyway, and godspeed!!
Arnaud
Please bring G3 to North Carolina... it's the 11th largest state in population, so there should be no problem getting people out to the show in Raleigh or Charlotte. It would be a perfect fit too, since there are no shows currently between DC and Atlanta.
Thanks,
David

Dear Joe, I just wanted to inform you that I started to make electric basses and that I have 2 new pickups that are custom made to my own specifications by a very famous american pickup maker. I would like to talk to you about those new pickups. I would appreciate if you could take the time to give me a phone call. You can view my new bass design on my website, I would appreciate if you could inform Stuart Hamm about my new basses.
Best wishes....Patrick Hufschmid from Switzerland

Hey Joe. Please come with G3 to Switzerland. I'am a so big fan. Other Thema: Joe, remember you; PAGELLI GUITARS in Switzerland. C.PAGELLI it was at NAMM in the 80's. He is a friend of me. You want buy this extravagant guitar of him.
Greats from Switzerland
Daniel (DASH)
Just Wondering if the G3 tour is coming to the UK this time as the last two were unbelievable (with Steve Vai + with Michael Schenker) - Glad your back with Steve this time though - the two best guitarists and performers in the world together!
ehi joe...just wondering why don t u come here in Italy..?I adore your music...and want to see you on a live concert!one more thing:d u think that it llbe shot a video of this last G3?bye!
Giovanni
Wow! Liquidtension99 I think you read my mind. I would have sugested almost every song you did. However, I think I would have emphasized the song "When The Water Break" a little more because It's a great composition that not only demonstrates Petrucci's music writing skills, but also shows his ability to adapted to different musical directions and song ideas. Joe, Vai, and Petrucci all have differents styles of playing (which goes beyond legato/stacato technics). All three are great at expressing what comes from their hearts, yet in different ways. This is why I feel John Petrucci will be a great addition to the G3 line up. The blend of all three guitarists on one stage has enough potentual to be the worlds greatest chemistry experiment ever conducted. Ofcouse second greatest would be the Liquid Tension Experiment.
Just want to let you guys know that my self released, bedroom recorded cd is selling better than I thought. Sure people buy them but they actually like it, eventhough the quality sucks. I did it to prove that this is what I can do by myself in my room, imagine me in a studio or with a band. I also did it to make money to buy a new 4 track, mine broke. G3 IN VANCOUVER!!!!!!! STRANGLEHOLD FOR G3 COVER!!!!!!!!!
so EVH confirms he has cancer....took long enough! speaking of van halen i noticed in the 1997 G3 archives that they did "really got me" as one of the ending jam tunes, excellent! i say they do it again.....that would be sweet!!!!
Hey Joe...Stu...peoples of earth. I just heard about the G3 tour a little while ago. I think I might try to catch it this time around if you come through the Tampa area. I won't know anything for certain until the last minute though because my CD "The Usual Haunts" was just released this week for international distribution and between doing the live shows and trying to get it promoted on the radio and over the internet (all by myself) I've been stretched pretty thin. Anyway, its an instrumental guitar-solo compilation with a heavy metal/gothic edge to it and much to my pleasant surprise its going over huge locally here in Florida. You don't hear much instrumental rock/metal guitar stuff on the radio nowadays and I was worried at first that I would have a very limited audience. I was VERY wrong. In just a few months I've gone from a virtual unknown to a local celebrity and international recording artist and I have to say its kinda weird. The point: Is the rest of the US going to be just as receptive to it? If anybody is interested you can check it out through http://www.docspagna.com or http://www.angelfire.com/goth/faustianx
People have been telling me that some of my stuff sounds like Joe but I don't know about that! The only Satch song I ever learned was crush of love because his stuff always seemed a little out of my league so I stuck with perfecting my own techniques. Influence through intmidation! How about that! Thanks for helping me make myself get this far Joe.
A few things: =====1. I am wondering why "Flying" and "Summer Song" must re-released AGAIN live, as I am not as fortunate as others to hear Satch live so all I hear is on G3, Time Machine and D11. Plus I don't really like them as much as other songs. =====2. I've heard some good suggestions for G3 jam, eg Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, but how about Dire Straits or even a very modified version of a Beatle song? I reckon Monkey Wrench (Foo Fighters) could be good. Whip out some Bon Jovi if you must. Or some blues classic would be cool. =====3. Good to see "Time" at the top of the list. It's definitely a fave of mine. Can't wait to hear it. I hope Jeff did something as inventive as Eric Valentine did on Crystal Planet album. That was refreshing to listen to. (as opposed to boom chick boom chick all the time.) =====4. Does "Mystical Pumpkin Mister Potato Head Groovy Chick Thingamajig Chocolate Bar" have the stereo effect where it seems as if the sound goes around you? THAT WOULD BE RIPPER IF IT DOES!!! I love that bit. =====5. Great to see some of the new trax but I wish you could have both "Power Cosmic 2000"s on there. =====6. Joe, for "Crushing Day," maybe you could try a punk-rock version and have 'stops' (rests) in it where only lead guitar plays esp. for the solos. Keep trying, I love that song. =====7. One more thing: I'm interested to find out what the sample stuff from the new releases will be!!! ===== Okay, enough rambling, it's tea time, I'm hungry. Keep up the great tunes Joe, and keep this website chooglin' Jon.

HELLO THERE, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THERE WON'T BE A DATE IN MINNEAPOLIS FOR THE G3 2001 TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU HAVE TO COME THIS WAY, YOU KNOW THERE'S ALWAYS PLENTY OF FAN SUPPORT FOR YOU GUYS AROUND HERE.
LOVE YOUR MUSIC, IT IS A GREAT SOURCE OF INSPIRATION.
THANKS.
MegaBoyd, the sign pissed me off but I forgive you. I was standing two people back from you guys, and you waved that damn thing during most of the damn show. I only thought it was cool during Stu's solo, when the word 'OUTBOUND'was coming across it. I now realize that it shouldn't have bothered me as much as it did.

What's up Al Surfer I was at both shows My brother & I were the guys waving the red electronic sign. We just wanted to have some fun but I guess I pissed of a couple of people. where were you sitting & what did you think of my toy should I bring it again? actually The first night I got one of Jeff's drumsticks & the second night I got one of Joe's pics!!!!!!!!
JOOOOEEEE!!!!! 'dont expect you to take my humble opinion. but.. i just listened to cruching day.. your right, that song live would be rather bland. here's what i would do. 2 words.. guest guitarist.. set up some harmony play. itll keep everyone interested and excited cuz its brand new, but still the same. i feel retarted giving advice to a god *LOL*.

mmmmm.....Sultans of Swing!...for the cover Joe.....its a long song so you can all have plenty of time to jam!....peace buddy...DarkdreaM
MegaBoyd - I will be at the Warfield show, we should definitely meet up. Yes, I was at the Fillmore shows. I don't know about the audio recording (they probably recorded both nights), but I think they did the video filming on the 2nd. night because the camera's were moving around on that night. Were you there? ...................... Damn! I'm totally pumped for some guitar madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any word on a possible webcast? Will you play any songs on the G3 tour that you've been working on for the next album? Will there be G3 posters available to buy online (here)? I'm just fulla questions ... : ) ======= ps, I wasn't the first to suggest "Stranglehold" (Ted Nugent) - that was Mighty Turtle Head (Colin Pattullo) ... that would be a sweet jam.
Excellent choice with John on g3. I'm going to two of the Beacon Theater shows. Kick Ass!!!!

This is gonna be one hell of a concert! Hi, I'm new here, and am just getting into Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, and have purchased Crystal Planet and Passion & Warfare, respectively. Both are very enjoyable (I think my favorite at the moment would have to be Raspberry Jam - Delta V. Wow!). Anyways, I'd like to acquaint y'all with a few examples of John Petrucci's work, so without further adieu, here are a couple great songs/instrumentals performed by Petrucci that I can recommend to guitar fans who have not discovered this very talented player. You can find them on Napster or its far superior clone, ;) audiogalaxy.com: By DREAM THEATER: A Change Of Seasons, Dance of Eternity, Metropolis Pt. 1, Scarred, Erotomania, Overture 1928, Under A Glass Moon, Fatal Tragedy. By LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT (LTE): When The Water Breaks, Universal Mind, Biaxident, Acid Rain, Freedom of Speech, Kindred Spirits (the last two for the Satch fans). :) ...ENJOY! :)
Joe: I'm glad to see you'll be returning to DC. I'll be there, of course. I can't wait to see this version of G3!!! Oh, and thank you for putting a DVD together. I can't wait to pick that up! You rock!
I just learned about Joe's stolen guitars...i have to say that it's a shame that people have to be such creeps.I truly believe that in these days, there would be someone who would go so far as to steal the sandles off Jesus's feet.Joe...i truly hope you get them back in a suitable condition.I know what it means to take a piece of wood under your arm and make create music with it.And for a great musician like yourself...wow! That's all i can say.Hope to meet you someday..Peace Scorpion_2000

hey al surfer your going to the warfield show hope to see you there I'll also be going to reno, Hey did you go to the fillmore show where tey filmed for the dvd?
Thanks soo much for the NY dates, Satriani, Vai and Petrucci... that's a major ticket! And would be fun to actually be there as a first concert in the USA!!!
Thanks again!
Hi Joe.
Please come to Poland someday maybe in future.I think the squad of g3 is the best you can get at the moment.I like John Petrucci guitar style- he is fantastic. His recent performance in Poland (with Dream Theater) was very good &I hope he will be soon playing in Poland too. Joe please come to Poland in future,..................
hey joe please tour england and do the appollo in manchester, please please please sign autographs(stay after the show and do it with john and steve) please bring the dvd out on video and please bring one out of the g3 tour after its over and a cd. im still stuggling on the crushing day solo so ill keep at it.
As always, smooches . . . » Phy³ . . .
Joe;
Great to see another G3 tour on the road. This has to be the greatest G3 line to date.
I was awe-struck when Vai and yourself were both confirmed on the bill. Then John Petrucci was added. What a line-up, possibly the finest ever for a guitar show. Three of the finest shreaders on the planet.
Will you bring this line-up to the UK though and do a full British tour. If I could see that line-up I think I would just flip.
Take care, Keith - Scotland!.

HEHEHE!!!Jordan R. its fast. No doubt about it =0) Petrucci CAN PLAY LEGATOS as fast as Satch. Have you ever saw his video clinic "Rock Discipline"? Well, when you see it your gonna know what im talking about. And yea, he is SUPER-FAST on picking. Nothing to envy Yngwie same boring stuff. And the "Super-drummer" hes taking whit him....WOW:Mike Portnoy!!!AWESOME...Let me think on the final Jam....STUU on the Bass, Mike Portnoy on Drums, Mike Kenealy on Keyboards, and this 3 guitar Gods on stage whit them....SHIII@$&#%##T!!!!!!COME TO MEXICO SATCH PLEASE!!!!
Mak's right, Petrucci stays away from legato in his style, but can pick those parts with ease. He is an insane player. So is Vai, and of course Joe, who in my opinion is the best of the three (a$$ kissing but it's true). My god, three of my heros on one stage. I'm loving this.
BIGGEST JS: Petrucci is definitely a soloist, but he doesn't use the legato technique. Like Steve Morse....you can't say he's not a soloist because he plays progressive rock. What Joe plays in legato, Petrucci can easily double with picking. Download "Universal Mind" off of LTE1, which features a "duel" between Petrucci and Jordan Rudess. And in case you're wondering, Jordan Rudess, with a keyboard, can play faster than any of the G3 guys...it's absolutely insane how good he is.
CART BOY - very well said ..... DANIEL SCHMID - i understand what you're saying but when there's music that has made me cry i know there's NOTHING that can touch it. I'm sure there's lots of great guitarists out there that have done great things but no one knows. Come on man you know the virtuosos can play anything the other plays. . . and as far as writing goes.... SATCH AND VAI ARE IT!
No G3 in the UK? Don't let it be so - I've been waiting ages for another G3 only to find out that it won't be coming to the UK. Man, that sucks. A cool tune for yourself, Mr. Vai, and Mr. Petrucci to jam through would be the Guns and Roses classic Sweet Child o' Mine, but since I won't be there to see it as I can't afford to fly to the States just for one night then I doesn't really matter what I think...
no, "crazy" with mike keneally singing it, yeah that would do it! -----hello me.....meet the real me and my misfits way of life a dark possessions hindsight back it's still a bit fuzzy speak of mutually assured destruction nice story ... Tell it to READER'S DIGEST !!!
Nitsua111 - Yea, it is annoying when you get different answers from different people. I'm going to go down to the local "tickets.com" counter next Sunday (at a Raleys' supermarket of all places! "I'll take some apples, toothpaste, and oh yeah, why don't you throw in 12 G3 tickets while you're at it", haha) rather than hope I get someone who can take my order over the phone at Konocti. We'll have 3 tables (they seat 4) at the show. Let me know your table number when you get it and we'll have a toast to Satch! What's up with Konocti's webmaster? He spelled John's name - "Patrushi"! Come on man, do a litlle investigating and get it right!
Greetings! 'Engines of Creation' is beautiful. I really like 'Power Cosmic 2000'. The 'Techno' edge of PC2K Pt. II helped me with regard to a few compositional problems of my own. [I'm writing material for my 3rd CD.] You're an inspiration, and I hope to meet you one day. My car's CD player is loaded with your stuff, and I'm diggin' it all! Very best wishes for future success. Regards, Dr. ULTRA 4/29/01
Hey Joe (and everyone who reads these things) all these stuff is just what we all needed for a LOOONNG time. The new live record and the G3, it's all good.
The only bad thing about the G3 is the number, if you ask me it should be G13!! but I guess that's not happening, so I'll just have to work with the present one
More jam suggestions: Stranglehold by Ted Nugent, Summer Nights by Van Halen, or Outshined by Soundgarden. ======= Hope you give JP a time-limit, not a song-limit. 10 JP songs could run over 2.5 hours!! Well, on second thought, that'd be OKAY!!
Hello Joe,
Just a second request for The Sails of Charon (in case you didn't see the earlier posting). Uli Jon Roth was great with you in Glasgow. The song is a classic. Yngwie has it on his 'inspirations' album. Three guitarists playing that..wow..the opportunities for that scenario are endless. Looking forward to seeing you in June here in Atlanta. Ronnie.
hey joe, on the "new" live album, we have almost the same songs that you played in your precedent live albums (dreaming#11, time machine and g3 live in concert).12 songs are yet in these three albums. Why didn't you play songs like the snake, midnight, killer bee bop, bells of lal,new day, new blues,....that we never heard live? i hope the way you played flying, satch boogie, surfing, summer song, big bad moon,...are really different.hope to see in france this year too.abdallah
Hey Joe, I just wanted to say that when I heared that the 3rd guy was John Petrucci, that made my year my man! That means I'm gonna get to see my 3 favs on stage at the same show! Thanks a million!! Oh by the way, for the guitar parts that John Petrucci wrote for the "Liquid Tension Experiment" CD's, is enough to make him one of my favorite musicians. Key word "musician"! It isn't about how fast you can play or if you can do things others cannot, it is all about writing material that really sounds wonderful. For instance, when I listen to Joe, to be honest it isn't because he can just flat out rip, it is mainly because he writes music that is so when writen that it makes me literally cry! He is the best song writer ever!!!! Go get JOE!!!
GERRY RULES - Sweating Bullets! HAHA! . . . about JOHN PETRUCCI, i'll never say he's not a great guitar player but... the reason why i wouldn't like him for G3 is because G3 is about The Guitarists challenging eachother on stage really. SATCH said it himself "I wanted to find some guitar players that cuold really challenge me on stage." . . . Now if you like prog rock then you'll love him, but for me, when i hear an idea i like, for instance... THE MIRROR/LIE by Dream Theater i don't wanna hear it go into somehting i don't like. The song goes on for 13 minutes of changes changes changes.... thus progressive rock... and he's not known as a soloist.
Joe PLEASE come to Melbourne. I will pay for your entire tour if I have to. There are so many people here who want to see you play, and can't get to one of your US and Europe shows. I know it's hard for bands to tour Oz, I'm in the industry, I know the problems you'd have. But I also see how the different bands love playing here, because we can't see big name acts every other week, there is a great response to those people who do come. I also hope you get those two missing axes back, because if one of my guitars went missing I don't know what I'd do. Anywho keep up the good work, and hopefully I'll see you out here in the near future.

HEY SATCH!!! I want to know, just for curiosity, WHY DO YOU CHOSED JOHN PETRUCCI??? In your own words. Thats was the best choice master!! You just made my dreams come true!!BUT WHYYYY???!!! =0) Please COME TO MEXICOOO!!!...if you can. Regards.
Excellent!!!!!! G3 once again is here to rock us
Please,Please,Please,Please,Please,Please,Please,Please,Please,Please, Please,

Keep up the excellent work Joe!

Its hard to chose a good line up for G3..From what i see its mainly guitarists from Rock backgrounds..what i would like to see is a line up full of jazz guitarists..then you can have your frank gambale and Mike Stern..
If you put them all together with Satch and Vai then your gonna get a diverse audience which might find a particular guitarist entertaining. ya know
Come on petch, lay off...of course i don't know where you live...i'm sure it would cost an arm and a leg to see joe for you (i imagine you live in europe). When did I say otherwise???? And so what if i wanna see joe in my hometown? Can't we all just put on Love Thing and get along!?!? Take it easy and don't get all worked up...
oohh..man...hopes someone will ever see this msg:
Well..i am so so so excited abt the release abt the live album but i am wondering why a VCd version of the Live album wasnt made? ...cuz....I dun have a DVD set at home :( ... ...sob sob....
Saw Eric Johnson and Derek Truck tonight- highly recommended! Even got to meet Eric afterwards! Anyway, now I just have to wait 'til G3 comes around. See ya soon, Joe!!
Hi everyone... I got another LTE song from Napster today. It's awesome, again...hehe. So I've heard Paradigm Shift off of LTE 1 and Acid Rain off LTE 2. I'm probably going to buy both of these from CDNow... What's the best Dream Theater CD to get? Does anyone know? ===== Re: AlSurfer... I called Konocti today (before I read your post) and the lady I talked to said that they had no information on G3 or JS playing there. I thought that was weird...then I called back 10 minutes later (after finding the date on their website), and talked to someone else that gave me the onsale date that you mentioned...5/6. It gets kinda annoying...I wish people would get things right the first time. Anyway... ...Austin...
Hey Joe, (i love the irony) anyway I just wanted to tell you I saw you
At the Meyerhoff Concert Hall In Baltimore about ten years ago (great show)
But the amazing thing I wanted to tell that occured While you played
An older Couple (Who must of been season ticket holders)Left the Auditorium
When you first opened the show. the cool thing, though, is that you brought them back in with "Rubina" They were mesmerized. You played Beautifully
that night. Just thought you would like to know. Wes
hey joe
i am going to go to your g3 concert in san fransico but i dont know
where to buy the tickets for it. are they on sale yet or do i have to look in the right place. well i will see you there
i got a jackson today !!! dude only wanted like $70 for it, possibly stolen but i dont care.....has 2 humbuckers, reverse headstock all black....the pickups are insane, got rid of the charvel for peanuts ($300) but then again i got it for about 1/10th of what i sold it for.......still looking for the elusive js100....now playing - paul gilbert - midnight
How about the 3 bassist's opening up the show? Although they would probably be pretty fried by the end of the night. ........................... Danny - I'll be at the Warfield and Konocti shows. I have never heard of that guy or show, although I don't have too much time for t.v. unless someone good is going to be on "Austin City Limits", which lately has not been happening - just a bunch of country.
I hope that Petrucci brings Liquid Tension Experiment with him cause they are all amazing musicians. Any way Joe how about them lessons? Can i take some for whatever price nessesary. peace. Justin
HI JOE AND CO.!!!!! I HAVE SOME EXCELLENT CANDIDATES FOR A FUTURE G3'S. HOW ABOUT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STYLE OF GUITAR PLAYING TO ROUND OUT THE PROGRAM. I VOTE FOR JERRY DONAHUE OR BRETT MASON. OR MAYBE EVEN ALBERT LEE? TREY GUNN? I WOULD KILL TO HAVE JEFF TYSON UP THERE WITH YOU GUYS! FRANK GAMBALE? ZAKK WILDE? MIKE STERN? SCOTT HENDERSON WOULD BE THE BEST GIFT YOU COULD GIVE US! ANY CHANCES THAT SOMEONE COULD WIN A CHROME-BOY BUT DONATING TO MAKE A NOISE FOUNDATION?
I beleive that this G3 lineup should be permanent. You just can't get any
better that Joe,Steve and the amazing John Petrucci. To see what John is
all about you should pick up Dream Theater's latest release (Scenes From A
Memory),every song on that disc is f**king awesome!
Imagine if SRV could be up there...Or Randy Rhodes...WEBMASTER..JOE..Is G3 comin' overseas after the U.S. tour??....If not, how 'bout a WEBCAST!!...Keep them life changin' tunes comin bro!....Peace, Mike
I'm lookin' forward to G3 Joe. I'd love to see you invite Neil to G3. I think he'd compliment Vai and you more so than any other player that I can think of.
PLEASE COME TO BRASIL WITH G3!!!!!!!
YOUR LAST SHOW IN RIO DE JANEIRO WAS SO BEAUTIFUL, YOUR PERFORMANCE IN LOVE THING WAS WONDERFUL. i LOVED THIS SHOW
GRAT CHOICE, PETRUCCI IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE GUITAR PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe , how are you and the family, fine I hope . My request for the live jam would be "Do you fill like we do" . It has all the themes of a great 3 star guitar jam . Please think about it . Hope G3 is coming to New Orleans , House Of Blues. Have seen you 3 times there , best times ever . C.....YA
Hey Joe, how about a Journey medley for a jam song? Steve Perry would probably love to tag along on the tour ... he's not doing anything else, right? : ) ====== For those Satchaholics not familiar with Petrucci, please check out the song "Beyond This Life" off Dream Theater's last album (Scenes of a Memory). I think that tune pretty much sums up his style, and it rocks! For a taste of melody, try "State of Grace" off the first LTE album. ====== Joe, we're still waitin' for some special behind-the-scenes first-hand-accounting of how/why JP was chosen for G3. I, for one, wouldn't mind if that were the permanent lineup!!
Joe,
I'm so happy G3 is finally coming back and coming to Florida. I can't wait to see you guys. I think John was a great choice for a third guitarist. Now you have an all Ibanez guitarist line up. hehe. Well hope I get to meet you agian this time (We met last year in Tampa). The DVD and Live CD is gonna be awsome. Can't wait. - Mike

Ya Yo is on a nice theme there. "Still Dre". How about "She Watch Channel Zero (Public Enemy)"? You guys could be the first to ever solo in key over that little ditty!
Hi joe been wailing with my tycobrahe octivia an uni vibe add a little fuzzface sometimes, was jamin borg sex last nite tried to funk up the mid 8 ,gave it a e/c7/b7 vamp with down beat...goin see ya in San Diego 6/28 joe an intrumental version of the beatles the end would be nice...
hey joe, are you coming over to england on this G3 tour. That would make my summer, I really enjoyed the Shepherds Bush Empire gig in London last year. If you pop across the pond in July/August time, that'd be cool. Anytime really. I thought the Empire was quite a good venue.
Also, what inspired you to play with Manu Katche on the "Joe Satriani" album? Is there a chance you could play with him again? Killer Be Bop rocks!
yeah "smoke on the water" would be great but i would prefer a g3 version of the song i concidered the best of the century with "summer song" : "Johnny b goode"
I Fuking Stole thoses Dumb Guitars!!!!That's right, someone has stolen two one-of-a-kind guitars of Joe's, known as "Rain Forest"
and "Donnie F." -- both are very special to Joe and he just wants to get them back. Please
take a moment to look at the photos so you can be his street team keeping an eye out for
anyone trying to illegally sell them out there
Hi Joe!
I was just reading that John Petrucci is joining the G3 tour this time. I think he is another super gifted musician and I think you did an excellent choice. I was wondering, have you ever consider Eddie van Halen for the G3 concept? I am a big fan of you and Steve Vai, but I think that Eddie van Halen is also a "virtuoso", and a "cool" person as you guys are. It would be incredible to see the three of you perform. I believe that it is important to be good in what you do, you know, to be a professional, but it is more important to be a good human being, without loosing perspective and your feet of the ground.
I live down in Tijuana, Mexico, a border city which shares boundaries with San Diego, CA, and my wife and I are expecting to see the three of you perform live at Humphrey´s by the Bay on June 28.
Thank you and best regards.
Rick Alvarez
Hey A1SURFER, I'll be buying warfield tickets as soon they are going on sale, which shows Are you attending? Have you heard of metalmatt from ccrock cable tv show? I think he might be interviewing Joe satriani and other g3 member on backstage, not sure though.Laterzz..~Danny~

joe come to Winnipeg,Manitoba,Canada with the G3
steve vai john petrucci & your self r three of my biggest influnces
please come to Winnipeg Manitoba Canada
Looking forward to seeing the show in Atlanta. Saw Eric Johnson with his latest band a couple of weeks ago and I am in the mood. EJ is better than ever and I know that you guys are too. See you then.
Hey anyone - This might help you figure out when tix go on sale for the gig you're going to see; I just found out this morning from the venue people that tickets for the Konocti show on 07/01 go on sale on 05/06. Still haven't heard when they go on sale for the Warfield show on 06/30. Thought I would pass on the info..
Master Satriani......IN addition to you, one of my guitar heroes is of course Master Vai with the addition of Master Petrucci, so i'd i like to say that i am gonna go to whatever means possible to catch your show in atlanta July 19th. Additionaly i wanted to say that i would be very much impressed (even more so than i already am) if you played "The Duel from Crossroads" with Steve Vai. I just watched the movie Crossroads for like the fifteenth time and Steve Vai is truely a master showman with his scene at the end!
Good afternoon Mr Satriani, ... er may I just simply call you Joe?
I'm a 30-year-old french fan, living in Paris, and I'm following you since 1985, with the same pleasure. I had a great chance to see you many times in Paris, with your band and also with the G3. This was really such an enjoyment : it feels like you expressed through your instrument a part of your feelings and emotions, you're what we call here "an artist" ... but I suppose you were told that so many times.
Joe, please, you gave the vast majority of your fans the US dates for the G3 tour, but as many other european fans, I'm still wondering whether you'll come in our countries or not and when. Do you plan to play in France ?
And allow me another question : may I, one day, take photographs during your concert ? I know that if you allow me to do that, lots of guy may ask it to you, but I often do that with french artists in smaller concerts : I have a pretty good apparatus, use high sensitivity emulsion (1600 ISO), which allows me not to use any flash and gives a very warm feeling. I suppose there is a higher probability of your answer being "no" but it'll be very kind of you to allow me that.
Good luck for all the things you'll do in the future : lots of people, even here in France, consider you as one of the greatest guitar player and we hope to hear you sooner as possible. Best regards.
Nicolas

GUTTERbOY/SLIDEMAN - i was thinking "still dre" as the jam tune......... ZENN LA - excellent idea, i think the dream theater guys can get crushing day down, they are insane.....how about it joe ?...... now playing - megadeth - skin o' my teeth
Hey Michelle we got our wish Joe & the boys coming to Philly on 7-12-01. CAN'T WAIT ! I'm sure my buddy Craig C is waiting in line for tickets already. See you all on 7-12-01. and as Craig C says " Philly Loves YOU JOE".
hi joe, i was in your concert at House of Blues in orlando last year.It is amazing that u just 2 meters in the front of me. i've saw stu with his bass guitar.he is cool too.just wanna say that i've heard about u since u were playing guitar in mick jegger concert in jakarta on 85 or 86 but un believeble that i have a chance to attand your concert. i notice that u have been to bali, the place where i am come from but it is so wierd that i see you're playing your guitar in USA. i love raspberry jam delta V. last but least that i wanna say you are greatest guitar player that i have ever seen. wish to learn how to play guitar some day from you. you do a great job. so keep cool joe.
Hi guys.. listen, I am curious to know how to get a hold of back stage passes for the Houston show. Please let me know what it would cost or how to get one for myself. I am not a "starstruck" freak/fan, Just another guitar player of 15 years. You guys have been a big influence in my style and i have really been wanting to sit back and chat in person with you,(Joe-Steve) and breifly discuss, life, God and music. I'm not looking to get all my guitars signed or for some other weird requests you may often get. Just some time to talk. i had recently contacted Vai's website with an email that i would be in the LA area this spring for vacation but was turned down due to Steve's HEAVY schedule for the new compilation set. I asked the host to at least forward my email... i reckon he never did. So please, toss me an answer one way or the other. JOE HERE IS THE EMAIL I SENT TO THE WEBMASTER...............................................It is very important to me. I am not a starstruck fan that wants to harass these guys. I have been wanting to sit and talk with them about God, life and music for years.
Esp considering that Satch and Steve have been a huge influence of my playing!! I was very excited to learn that they would be coming to Houston again. I have never seen them live before and thought I never would... lets face it, they are in their 40;s and I'm getting up there in age as well. You never know when someone will decide to say that's enough...As a matter of fact, I thought the same about Yngwie.. he actually showed up here to Houston. I was able to meet with most of the band and talk with them. Yngwie's wife was a very interesting one..:). until that concert, I haven't been to one in 10 years. So if you could please forward this email to Joe or Steve or tell them about me, I would be so grateful. I probably wont ever have this chance to do this again.
JAM Song for G3, though I couldn't vote for it (it doesn't fit the criteria,
quite): STEVIE'S SPANKING by Zappa, that obscene, defamatory song
about Vai and his sexual exploits, now that would be great, like a celebrity
roast! I'd like to hear the guys jam on Crushing Day too, they could, like,
have one guy play the rhythm lick while the other guys play the 4-note
verse melody trading off, and alternate who it is every time. That would
liven up the song, like, 'woah here comes Satch, here comes Vai, Here
comes JP' , and then they all join up for the chorus melody. Oh, God, just
imagine it in your mind! Like for the Gm pentatonic lick starting off the
solo, Satch plays the first 2 bars, then Vai takes it up and develops the
melody, then JP plays the third, them they all join up for the last phrase,
and then they do it all again, tripling the part, which Satch takes into the
solo proper as the guys play the rhythm lick. Am I expecting too much???
That's what we ought to be doing here, helping Joe out with his 'Crushing
Day' action!!!!!!!! Ah, whatever
formula 1 yeah colll
joe i heard u play whit petruci thats is amazing wow hmm yam yam
yeah gt3 live again yam yam yamy
i cant wait to listen the album if availble in store
joe maybe oneday if we mett maybe u cant teach me and show ,me the real guitar
ritual and and i want to be the best student of joe satriani
of course if we have owers destiny
joe thanks u veri mutch u are the best and the last one is ......... iam maniac of satriani u last name just like indonesian name hahahahah satriani good
cya joe have fun whit your guitars yamy
dag dag joe i just one to say best for u joe u are the one hwo influenece me in music
peace adi susu
i think VOODOO CHILE would be the best song to jam with...it's easy to improv over and they can go nuts and it won't sound too bad. What happened to 3 jam songs though? and how come 10 songs from SATCH? oh well that rocks but what about VAI...does he get 10? ............JOE YOU AROUND? IF YOU ARE DROP IN!
How bout Black Betty by Ram Jam for the G3 jam. LOL! Oh, and GUTTERbOY ~ Madonna?? Don't make me come down there! They could only play Madonna if they all wore the pointy bras and vogued. Now THATS expressing yourself :)
Well, that was pretty good! We haven't seen a 3peat in awhile....It was fun to see! Joe, how's tricks?? gearing up for G3?? Hey Joe, who will be gracing the stage first for G3??? You, Steve or John?? Peace.......Plum Loco Rides Again!
Hi Joe, great to see that you will be out on the road again. I see by the tour dates that you will hit Detroit and Chicago. I was wondering if you might swing back around and hit Minneapolis? I would buy a ticket along with about 20 other people that I know. I know that won't be a sell out, but you do have fans here too. I look forward to the new live record. I caught you playing that setlist here last April, so it will be neat to have a cd of it. Thanks and keep up with the GREAT music!!!
Joe, listen up.
you have to come here to Norway with your G3 team. I was very dissapointed when i saw the US dates only. hope you will change it...at least some G3 EURO-dats
almost 15 years later SURFING is still one of the best pieces i ever heard
yet diversity is what is best about JOE's music.
do never ever compromise , we love you just the way you are!
Joe. Are you going to come to Russia?ANSWER PLEASE!!!
Hey,we wait for you and your beautiful music.
I will play "Coll N9" and Steve's "Die to live" in a few days on the show.thank you for your songs.
Your disciple,Pavel Tkachenko.
O.K. What do I have to do, who do I have to call, or how much is it going to cost me to get you to come to St. Louis?!?! I drove to Chicago for the EOC tour (about 400 miles), and I'll do it again if need be! I called KSHE 95 (the biggest rock station in St. Louis), and the women I spoke to said she couldn't help me. Joe, tell me what I should do!! I guess I'm going to have to get a job promoting. One more thing, how come Down, Down, Down isn't on the new live disk? Hopefully it will be on the DVD; you played if for us in Chicago. Take care and see you soon!
Stu - What have you been up to lately? ....................... Wow! A three-peat was finally accomplished. Very impressive considering all of the traffic around here lately.
I would like to know why in the heck you wouldn't have a tour location for G3 in the pacific Northwest, maybe Vancouver at least! Man, I missed you last time you came, was there not enough people up here supporting you? Why not schedule for pacific coloseum in Van? I really want to see you Joe, front and center!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming back to Toronto. I saw you at Massey Hall last April. I just read about the G3 tour coming to Toronto in July. I always drag some of my friends to your concerts. They are always reluctant at first (they dont play any instruments), but during and after the shows they can't stop talking about it. Good work on getting to the non-musical audiences as well. Make sure that Stu does his bass solo. One question, I was wondering...do you have any plans to do any acoustical stuff in the near future, live or in the studio??? ok gotta get back to work, thanks alot........hey how do I get you to hear my instrumental Demo that I recorded at home??? I think youd like it......
see ya,
/Corey
"Express Yourself" by Madonna for the jam? Now that is a truly unique suggestion there. Not saying it's good or bad. Definitely different, though... Hey, Joe- I know the G3 tour bus caravan will be going through North Carolina between Washington, DC, and Atlanta, GA. So why not swing by the podunk little bumfu{k town of Youngsville, NC, and do a little jam in my backyard. I know you wanna do it!! Tell you what, I'll be at the DC show, so you guys can just follow me home from the show! It'll be a green Camaro with plates that read UWSGDBYE. C'mon, Joe!! (I sincerely hope you realize that I am being rather fecitous here) Crazy Train would make a d@mn good jam song...
YOO,,,,JOE,,hows it going guy,,?????ben bizzy lately,, new job at work and all,,just wanted to say hi, and good to here about G-3,,, your coming to boston like you always do,so thats good.... would love to meat you joe,,but so would half a million joe fans..rock on buddy,,, %#*N$@O*%T#(M^$E@(F&^O($R!!G(^3 WMS
Hi all. I can't wait for the double live album to come out! :-) Anyway, I had a lot of catching up to do at Talk To Joe, but first I want to ask Joe a question. Did you use Pro Tools to put the tracks together? It seems to be what everyone's using today. Eric Johnson / Alien Love Child used it on their most recent live album. Aerosmith used it on their last live album as well. And now, for those that have asked... I'll probably end up going to the G3 show at the Warfield, although Konocti and Reno are still a possibility...we'll see. I wish he'd play the Community Theater (or whatever it's called) in Sacramento, that show sounded AWESOME on the opening night of the EOC tour. And now again, to answer some basic live album questions... CD1 is the entire 1st set. CD2 is the entire 2nd set. As others have said, Down, Down, Down, Clouds Race Across The Sky, and Train Of Angels were standards played on the EOC tour...but they weren't played at the Fillmore. They were replaced by House Of Bullets. You can check my reviews for those two shows if you want more information, as well. Back to the website now, everything is listed in the order that it was played...I can't see them making many edits to the songs. On another note, has anyone seen the Double Trouble / Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band tour? They came to Jackson, California on 4/26, it was great. KWS is such a great guitarist...like Joe, he makes everything look so easy. Well, time for me to get going now...sorry for the long message. ...Austin...
Joe in blue........I think its safe to say that all the people in here wouldnt mind to awful much if Crushing Day was a little "flat"......Crushing Day Rocks!!!!!!!...... That song got me through all the low times I had during Operation Desert Storm.......I'm thinkin I could die a happy man hearing it live!!!!!!!! Lookin forward to it as I'm sure you'll do your best........Also.....G3 DVD??????? L8R........Rhune
Can you tell me: when does your european tour begin????? I'm from holland, saw you last year in weert with my friend guitarpaultje, and I was wondering, if you are going to perform in Holland. Hope to c u!!
hello outthere!!! please come and visit The guitarpaultje.com site for info about guitars, and reviews, also tablature and lessons!

sugerencia para los residentes de Mexico: junten una feria y venganse a Juarez, aqui agarran su camion de 20 dlls. para Santa Fe, NM y avientense ese concierto. Porque nomas han dicho gira en USA y Europa.================OK. No Hendrix songs for the jam. They have been abused, specially Voodoo Child. Sunshine of your love would be cool, or Texas Flood. Later.
Hello everybody! Joe don't forget South America! don't forget Brazil! please bring G3 here! and don't forget to go to the Jô Soares TV show again! i love you my bald hero!!! see you! :) Buz...
Hey Arn and Mud Grunt, you have no idea where I live. My travel cost would be ten times more than you even I had chances to see Vai twice and Joe once but never done any G3 in my life. Oh man,You have no idea at all.
PUNKDUDE75 o Miguel Chavez, CALLATE TU PINCHE NAKO PENDEJO!!!Me pelas la verga. Si no quieres ver al G3 en México pues métete la cabeza en el culo esta temporada y al carajo...LOOSER!!G3 ON MEXICO, G3 ON MEXICO, G3 ON MEXICO!!!!!
Gutterboy - I agree with you. ............ beana - Konocti is only 2 hrs. from Sac.. Some fans have to drive 5 hrs. or even fly to the show! The "Warfield Theater" is only 2 1/2 hrs. from Sac.. Not too much driving to see the man himself I say. I live right in the middle of both of them and will totally dig the driving - just load up the cd player with Joe & Steve (maybe John, if I get one his cd's), especcialy "Driving At Night", "Motorcycle Driver" and "Ride" and put the petal to the floor!
MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN MILAN Got it? You have to come to MILAN!!! Otherwise i'll cut my veins!
YAYO: I had my guitar signed by Joe, but on the back of the headstock...tough to wear it off there....maybe I'll get Vai and Petrucci to sign it as well.
WHAT?!?!?! There are FIVE California shows, and someone whines about there not being a date in Sacramento? Give me a break... I'll be driving five hours up to Washington, DC for the show... Anoyone from Raleigh in here going to Eric Johnson tomorrow night?
Looking forward to G3, the CD and the DVD. Joe, play at the Gorge in George,WA very cool place for a cool guy like yourself and your buddies. Played a JS1000 this weekend. WOW what a awesome guitar, I fell in love instantly. Gonna have to get me one ASAP. I can't wait to see you live again, it is always a great experience.
HI JOE!! GREAT ABOUT THE THIRD GUEST ON G3!!! ABOUT THE G3, WILL AND WHAT ARE THE TOUR DATES AND VENUES FOR THE U.K. BECAUSE I MISSED YOU LAST TIME TIME YOU CAME AROUND. Hi all! A while since I've posted here - but it's good to be back! Can't wait for the live in San Francisco album - does anyone know the UK release date? As for the G3 tour, it should be great and I envy everyone who gets to see any gigs! In terms of ideas for covers, well there are so many! But someone on here suggested "Crossroads" - now that would be really cool. Anyone interested(even you Joe!) in listen to a Satch-influenced artist don't hesitate on visiting my Mp3.com web-page. All feedback welcome.
Peace
Liam

thats great havin' petrucci on the G3 lineup: you guys should play a Beatles song like for example: Helter Skelter...later Ga60: WOULD YOU PLEASE SHUT UP---
hey joe, I hope you are planning to squeeze in a connecticut date, it would fit in perfectly on sunday july 15, inbetween new york and boston. we'd love to see ya.thanks.
Please come back to Norfolk! Stupid ticketmaster will not refund my money for the tickets to last year's show that was cancelled. I mailed them to Ticketmaster customer service requesting a refund, and I got back reprinted tickets that just have "TBD" for the date. So you see, if you don't come back here, I lose $60... he he he
(Of course the real reason I want you to come back is to see/hear you play, but we all knew that!)
Hawkpilot is now gonna have a heck of a time playing his guitar with his fingers crossed...
Hi Joe, DVD ..yes...when u come here to seattle it will be the 6th time i
haVE Seen u plat live ..the E.O.C tour concert was mind blowing and the moore

CHROME BOY 2001 - if joe signed your js1000 you wouldn't be able to play it......atleast if he signed my guitar i wouldn't want to play it.....oooooh coffee!!!! coffee for G3
Hi Joe,
How come Utah always gets skipped over on your tours???? Are these Mormons causing problems? We have alot of great places to play here in Salt Lake City. We were at your Reno Hilton show last year taking photos for the Salt Lake City Tribune writeup and/or archive file, but we need the greatest guitarist to come to our city. Jim and Leah
HEY JOE,
PLEASE CAN WE HAVE RICHIE SAMBORA (BON JOVI) IN G3. ALSO CAN WE HAVE SOME BRITISH DATES IN THE G3 TOUR PLEASE. U'D MAKE A LOT OF PEOPLE ROUND MY WAY VERY VERY HAPPY. THANX MATE...CYA SOON...WON'T I?
Hi Joe and thanks for your time,
I wanted to thank you for giving 'us' the opportunity to voice our own
opinion about your set list and a cover tune. Not many musicians will do
that for their fans. I have gotten spoiled by the incredible hospitality
of my friend, Steve Morse, and it's nice to see another musician show the
same respect for his fans. Also, I think it's great that you choose 'backstage
winners'for some, if not all of tht gigs.
I've been a huge fan of yours since the early 80's, and like Steve, you
just keep getting better and better. There's only one concert that I've seen,
in the last 20 years, that was better than Morsey's, and that was the time
you came here (the Fillmore in Denver) in 2000. I was in the front row and
my ears rang, litterally, for three days after the show.
Thanks so much again,
Suzi, the dog trainer
Joe, I am freaking out right now. I am trying to stay composed, but it's hard. I just read that you are coming to Toronto for G3!!!! I am trying to get tickets as I type. I would love to see you guys from the 2nd row again. I saw you last year for EOC at Massey Hall. It was me, and Biggest JSFan Ever. We were the ones with the shaved heads and glasses. Anyway, maybe my JS 1000 will have arrived by then, and I'll hopefully try to get it signed by you. That would just make that the greatest moment of my life. Anyway, looking forward to seeing you 3 guys there. Once again, if me and JSFan go, we will most likely have our heads shaved. Sort of a tradition I guess. Later!!!!
hey joe,
Hi, my name is cameron hill and i am a 16yr old inthusiastic player from adelaide, Australia. im a fairly new fan of your music but i am also a big fan of you as a person. you are the most down to earth musician i know of and the fact that you acturly take the time to write to your fans is enough to make anyone like you. i have been playing guitar for around two years now and since listening to your music have found myself rapidly improving with my style and playing techniques.
i play an ibanez RG 320 and love it. i couldnt have asked for more in a guitar.
anyway i know that your very buisy with the ever demanding fans but if possible can you sent me a reply to this letter so that i know your listening because i have so much to tell and ask you as i have based my life around you. thanks for taking the time to read this letter and thanks for giving me hope.
your pal cammo
please send reply to:

Joe my wife and I are very psyched for the G3 show
in San Diego. Excellent choice in John Petrucci
to compliment you and Steve Vai. I've submitted
a few suggestions for covers during the jam session.
It would be cool if the 3 of you could collaborate
on a G3 jam song. Maybe one of you could present
the basics for the jam and the 3 of you could
work it out. It could be a work in creation each
night until you think you got something that kicks
butt. It would give you 3 a chance to perform
together in an improvisational way.
Paul Eccles
P.S. Since John Petrucci is the new guy in the G3
line up, you could tell him to come with a G3 jam
idea for the 3 of you to work on.
Hey petch, of course I'm willing to travel to see Joe...and I will if he doesn't come to Seattle. But as a stinking poor college student, it just makes it easier to have food money every month if i don't have to pull a west coast road trip or book a round trip flight to San Francisco...ya hear?
ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU,ISTANBUL IS WAITING FOR YOU
PLEASE COME TO ISTANBUL.SATCH!!!!!!
Joe, Hi, Jimi had a major influence on the course of your life (and ours). There are loads of Hendrix tunes you could do. Voodoo Child would be awesome, but some of Rainbow Bridge stuff could be worth a try. I notice Michelle thinks VC would be good. All the best. Peace. Ged.
Hey Joe!!!! I'm ecstatic about the new double CD and DVD cominf out soon "Live from San Francisco". Just one thing, is also going to be available on VHS?? And if not, why?
Thanx Joe for the oppertunity to give my suggestions for a set list.
I hope to convince you to try to have Jason Becker write a song for you.
He still has a few symphony's left in him. GB KTF Randell
I REALLY DIDN'T GO TO THAT GREAT G3 CONCERT,
I WRITE THIS MESSAGE TO IMPLORE AND BEG TO MR. SATRIANI,
MR. VAI AND MR. PETRUCCI THAT PLEASE COME TO MEXICO,

PLEASE MAKE A G3 IN MEXICO!!!
PLEASE MAKE A G3 IN MEXICO!!!
Hi Joe.
Europe is Calling.
Do you (and Steve and John) have any plans of going to Denmark with the G3 session??
I surely hope so - you will see me there. Great show in Copenhagen last July!!
Ole - Denmark
How about being original with the suggestions? I've seen so many people suggest Hendrix songs...All the good ones have been done to death...How about something a little more imaginative. "Layla" perhaps, or Poison by Alice Cooper or any Who song.
Why to ask us for our suggestions for G3 set list: joe always plays the same songs on tour !!! (see the track list of the pseudo-new live album)
Is joe the laziest man in the world ?
Forecast of the G3: Petrouchos beats Joe by K.O (joe est grave à la rue: au boulot)
Still sayin': Truffaz rulez !!!!!
THANKS FOR FOR THE TORONTO TOUR DATE JOE AND ANYONE ELSE INVOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ............................ man this page fills up fast lately! ........... KATNIP- thanks for the finger exercise
Greetings Joe,I know you are busy these days but if you could find a few seconds to answer I would appreciate it. I am recording some songs for my mother, she lives a few thousand miles away and wants to listen to me(dont know why).Anyway,I wanted to record Tears In The Rain for her and wanted to know what the effects were you used on it to get that warm tone. PLEASE FIND A WAY TO COME TO CONNECTICUT!
Hi Joe,
I've been a fan of yours since , well , mid 80's I guess.. I'm from a far away land called Sri Lanka. You might not even heard of it, but well it's been my dream to see you and steve vai and finally I'm here in the US now and I look forward to attending the new G3 tour... infact I'm going to Reno on the 23rd just to see you guys.... Keep it up Joe..
Hello, Satch!
YeaH! I´m very happy to know about the new tour edition of G3. I hope you, Vai and Petrucci come here someday in Porto Alegre (Brazil). It would be very cool to see G3 in Porto Alegre as it were cool see You and Vai here last year.
Thanks a lot and you know you are always welcome.
Crazy Train. I think I'd completely freak out if you guys did that one. Picture it ... Petrucci in mid stage kicks off that bad-ass riff, Vai joins in for the 3rd repeat, Satch for the 5th. You guys know what I'm talking about ... my ears are ringing just thinking about it!!
We need you to do London with G3, Shepherd's Bush was fantastic , as was Steve at the Astoria. If the 2 of you are there at the same time, it will be mega.
I saw you Michael Schenker and Uli John Roth play for 3 hrs in Dublin on the last G3, make sure you do the same this time it was superb!
Raspberry Jam Delta V ... fabulous song ! Can someone help me with the tab of the bass line ? I'd like to program a background-recording to play along with. Maybe Stuuuuuu himself ??? Anyway mail me if you can help me dudes. Thx
Hope you bring the G3 Tour to Pittsburgh PA this summer. I saw both previous G3 performances here and was really blown away. Hope to see you guys here ...
T.
Hey Joe, Make sure you bring the G3 tour over to the UK. Bristol would be great.
Dream Theater did the Colston Hall last year and it was awsome. Also saw you two nights running at the Shepheards bush Empire, and Steve Vai in Sydney and Manchester on his worldy. What a year !!!!!!
Hey Joe, glad to see your giving us a different venue to try out. I was never at the Keswick. We'll be coming home from our vacation that day, so it's going to be a looooooong day. The 2 things I wait all year for are going to happening in a one week time span. Have mercy! YAYO - I just had my second visit to the fake bake factory. I was only in for 5 minutes and I'm toast! I got some major pinkage going on all up in my grill. ouch! They should be called "the beds from hell!" Guess my cracker factor is higher than yours! lol!
This is incredible, G3 again.......How about a cover song of "FANFARE FOR THE COMMON MAN"....ELP...."Come and see the show, Come and see the show, Come and see the ssshhhhhoooowwwwwwww!!!Da da da da da da da,da da da da da da da...only with guitar...Shoot..I gotta get outta here and fill out the Set List..........
WBMASTER,....JOE.......PLS.........WEBCAST"......Peace,..Mike in Japan!!!
Joe i live in Canada and wanted to purchase tickets to see the G3 show at Massey Hall in Toronto. However, Tickermaster is unaware of the event. They told me to let u know this.
Sincerely,
hymenopteran9
I would just like to add my voice to the calls to bring G3 to the UK, preferably with the US line-up. Uli Jon Roth and Michael Schenker were fine the last time, but I, for one, would love to see these American giants of world-wide guitar playing.
If this isn't possible, how about a couple of British guitar maestros for a UK G3? I nominate
Dave Sharman
Darren Hurst
Cheers

HI Joe!!! Ive been in about 80 musicshops around holland, and no-one knows anything about your Bonus-CD that came with the Engines of Creation... They all keep telling me, that it's only for US... I tried to order the CD again in the US, but also this time: No Bonus CD with it.... I really would like to get my hands on it.. My collection wouldn't be complete without it!!! And of course, I am really curious what's on it!!! Is there some other way to get that CD ??????? And of course the biggest question of all: When are you coming to Holland again?? Loved your show on BosPop last year.. (By the way, i heared Living Colour is coming this year, maybe a jam-session with Vernon Reid ??? Hahaha, that would be cool!) Thanks in advance for answering my question regarding the CD!!!!! KEEP UP!!! Don't go Down, down, down, down down......

Hey, I know you just announced dates in the USA and all, but do you have any plans to bring the show to the UK? The thought of my 3 favourite players on the same stage is too much!
JOE: ok I can see why there's a Toronto date.....because everyone has been asking for one. Well I will officially beg for a Vancouver date! Please come!!!!! I took my best friend to see you last year and we met you......it was phenomenal....I'm still shaking. So PLEASE come to Vancouver!!!!!! White Room for the G3 cover!!!!!!!
Heh, Petch I now dub you the coolest non American on this website! Haha this brit is onto something here... if there isn't a show nearby, or your missing the one near you for some reason, make some darn travel arrangements or don't complain, we don't want to hear about it. The live album is going to kick serious ass folks, I was at one of the Fillmore shows and it was a mind blowing experience. By the way Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment will be playing drums for Petrucci on the tour.
Joe, when are you going to come to Australia, namely Melbourne, Steve Vai was out here not long ago and it kicked ass. Better yet, bring the G3 tour down under. It would be awesome if you came out here as you have a huge fan base in Melbourne. Make sure that if you are going to come that you post it.
Hey! you all yanks stop crying oh Joe please come here and go there or don't forget to go where you live. The rest of the world don't even have a chance. Pay your greyhound and shut up.
wa-sa-bi !! Mr.Satriani, 2 questions if i may

I would like to thank silverskier for seconding "Frankenstein". Looks like the webwaster likes the idea to. I'm 36 now but when I was 8 I remember listening to a hand held radio for hours waiting to hear "Frankenstein". It was probably the fisrt song I jonesed for.
Myk7 - You are a true Satch fan! As soon as more tour dates started getting posted I thought of you buying a ticket to the San Diego show even though you live in TX. I can't even go one day without listening to Joe somewhere (home, car, work, etc...), but I don't think I would go to that extreme. You rock! I'm sure you'll get some taker's soon. I was 100% sure Joe would have some bay area dates and now I'll be going to 2 shows!!!!
MYK7 - thats 10 rows ahead of meeeeeeee......... i went to a tanning salon today, thats right the vampire goes for some rays.......im so white it isn't funny, those tanning beds suck cause they didn't do anything! total rip, well i can go all month so maybe something will happen..... i still can't pop my knuckle on my pinky finger, this sux.....boohoo....anyone see the dweezil zappa interview on launch.com ?......ya yo exits stage right
Joe,
I freaked when I heard the latest G3 line-up. A little heaven on earth none the least! Send the tour though to St. Louis, Mo. I beg you. The Pageant in St. Louis would be perfect. It has recently held the presence of Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, and Yngwie Malmsteem. I'd say G3 is would be very comfortable there!
I've decided that since G3 is coming to Ft. Worth I will not be attending in San Diego. Therefore I may have a single ticket if anyone would like it (making sure I recoup my costs). The seat is in section B2, Row 7, seat 112. 7th row, center section. If you might be interested, email me at the address in my profile. Oh, the ticket includes dinner before the show. - Myk
Yep, looks like this is the "clean-cut" version of G3. ======= What about "Mean Street" by Van Halen for a jam song? Probably a little too simple ... but sometimes there's real beauty in simplicity.
Hi guys.. listen, I am curious to know how to get a hold of back stage passes for the Houston show.
Thanks in advance for the efforts.
scott, vwall@family.net
Wow ...I sure hope that's not it for the East Coast...no virginia, north carolina, or south carolina dates, Joe...get your promotors to work on those red-necked suckers...I need my G3 fix....pleeeeaaase!, Michael
Hi God.
First of all my english is very very poor so please try to understand me.
I´m a fan of yours from Chile (you were here last year)I´m a guitar player, just like you. I have learned a lot of songs from your albums (the mistycal potato head groove thing, echo, the forgotten part II, love thing, etc.) you have probided me with such inspiration and imagination in my own songs.
You know, I have a dream: be a famous guitarrist like you or Becker, Vai, Petrucci and others like them.
let me tell you something when I became a famous
guitarrist you will see this name on screen "FADE KNOXVILLE".
please answer back, please...
Bye Fade.
I've followed your careers since I play guitar (9 years ago), I have all your cd's, and you're my guitar heroes along with Van Halen. I can't imagine not being there!!! So, please, do a favor to me and to all yours, Steve's and John's fans and organize the G3 tour so it can reach countries like mine (México).
PLEASE!!!! Come down here!!!! It's very, very near if you think of countries like Finland or Malaysia (which one day you performed a G3 concert!!!).
I feel like an internal obligation to do something to know that you have at least heard something about this message, at least a comment of your page webmaster saying: "Hey Joe, there's some crazy guy from México that keeps flooding your web page message board saying he's almost going to jump naked from an 50 floor building if you don't go and perform the G3 tour there!". So I'll keep sending this message for a time so you can consider the option of coming here with Steve and John. I know that flooding a web site is not the most intelligent way to get to you, but, What else can I do to be heard??
Make a human feel full please, don't let me die without seeing you three together. Please!!!!! Keep me from turning into a gigolo to get $1500 so I can go to the US to see ya, otherwise I won’t afford the trip!!!!
A “mexicanito” that sincerely appreciates you and your music.
Edgar (edgarvhulcer@mailadnet.com)
One show, that’s all I’m asking!!!
Where is New Orleans, the birth place of jazz?? HOB in the French Quarter would be perfect!!! Not to mention the best party city and the best food in the
US. Please don't make me drive to Houston.....Come to New Orleans!!!! The crawfish and cold beer is on me!!!!! Hope to see you in the Big Easy. Can't wait for the DVD!!
JOEEEEEEEEEEEE please im begging you to come to Myrtle Beach to the HOB that is the only way i will be able to see G3 i have seen both you and Vai live and those were two of the best concerts i have been to in my life and i have seen some of the greats like KISS, AC/DC, and the legend B.B. King i may be able to get to the Atlanta show but it is highly doubtfull i begginggggggg you JOE pleaseeeeeeeee just think about Myrtle Beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joe, WOW what a friggin' line up! Petrucci,Vai,and Satch. Guaranteed shred-fest of the century. I am very concerned about 1 thing.......there is no Minnesota date set. Why? Don't skip us man, I am begging, pleading,I will cry if I miss this show! Joe, think.........Northrop Auditorium, Where you filmed the 1st G3 concert tour! Thanx.....Bob
This could REALLY stink! Your NYC & PA dates are on the weekend that my cousin is getting married in MI. If it was up me, I'd blow it off, but it's not. :^( I may still be able to fit in the PA show, but I'd have liked to do one of the NYC shows. I CAN'T MISS THIS TOUR!!! Arrrrrrrrrgh... Hey, maybe they'll have a fight. ;^]
I'm now taking donations for the SEND ELPP TO G3 FUND. Send well-concealed cash to the address above. In return you'll get the satisfaction of knowing that u helped a diehard Satch fan to see all the G3's that have taken place so far. Thank u and ME FOR ATTENDING G3!! later.
Hi Joe,
how are ya?
I enjoyed the concert last year in toronto @ massey hall,
I brought my father there on his 64th birthday...MY DAD ROCKS !!
He has given me the musical influence of the bands from the 60's & up which have given me a great appreciation for all style of music.
I like to write with my heart like you do and damn does it feel good when your jamin and you hit it right!! right?
anyhow....great to hear about G3.......I'll take my dad again....65 & still rockin.
Later
well joe i guess the closest your getting to connecticut is boston so ill have to try and get my ass up there. and i knew i spelled jimi wrong i had one of those metal block thingys. oh well. but god im so pumped to go see G3!
peace. Justin
hi joe please add the mark of the quad-cities to your next round of tour dates i want to see the best ax-man in the business please please please ps how could anyone not reply to that many pleases
Hey, Joe! Just wanted to say I'm very excited about your choice of John Petrucci to join you and Steve Vai on G3. I really look forward to seeing this show!
Hey joe I bought one of your crystal Planet guiters I was wondering what
you think of it verse the cromeboy???? Also whats that dodad at the top of
neck of your guiter. Thanks speedy74 You may e-mail me if you wish.......
Joe,this is the secod time ther is a Toronto date and yet no Montreal date.I am dying to see you and once again I can't.What is wrong with Montreal(besides the french separatists)? It was rated the fourth best city in north America to see a concert.Tits in mass quantities.Truly dissappointing.
JOE: When are you coming back to ARGENTINA!!!! I really hope that you can bring the G3 TOUR to South America this or next year & one more thing............... YOUR SHOW HERE WAS AWESOME!!!!!! Thanks.
in case you didn't see it in the news, a few more US (and one Canada) date have been confirmed and added to the tour page! for those of you still anxious for shows in your town, all i can say is that as soon as i get confirmed dates, they go up (and also to vai.com and johnpetrucci.com's webmasters) to get to you asap!
Holy sh1t!!! I turn my back for a month to work on my web site for my own musical project, and look what happens! NEW NEWS!! Good news!!! Webmaster...Kudos to you for the E-mail update, rest assured I have forwarded it to Gannman, who hopefully in the light of things, will make an appearance on this page. Of course, we know how elusive he is...besides, he is also heavily involved in my project, the details for which will be coming VERY soon! Be on the lookout here in Mid-June! I know I've been promising you all a listen to my music for a year now, and you're probably thinking "Yeah, I'll believe it when I hear it." Trust me, folks, I really mean it this time...things have been moving slow, but are about to pick up for all their worth. I WILL have my web site up in Mid-June WITH a song to listen to online! GUARANTEED!! The pieces are finally starting to fall into place! I'm proud to announce that Gannman, my resident computer artist extraordinaire, has FINALLY finished my album cover artwork! This thing is gonna knock your freakin' eyeballs out! To view it and get a sneak preview, check out the bottom of the following page: http://www.joegann.com/ProgXImageStore.htm *** To Joe Satriani...I eagerly await word on the East Coast tour dates. The Rubber Guitar is hungry and awaits your return! I have several, but my silver one is waiting to make it's debut!! :) Anyway, Kudos to you for once again making G3 a reality in my lifetime! Can't wait to see you all out here in or near B'more! Towson Recher Theater up here would be a most excellent place to bring G3 to! I'm headed up there tomorrow with Gannman to see Eric Johnson, so you'd better ger him on the horn and warn him that he will be the next to be graced with the Rubber Guitar Man's presence! :) I hope he plays "Trademark", that song is SO uplifting! One other note...I have seen TONS of EXCELLENT suggestions on this site for G3 end-of-the-night jam songs! I have personally suggested "Voices" by Russ Ballard...it may not be primarily a guitar-driven song (more like an all-instruments song), but it DOES have a lot of interesting parts in it that could be easily interpreted on guitar. I would WET myself on the SPOT if you played that one! (Let me know whether or not I need to take a change of underdrawers!) However, I'd also like to suggest a few 'unusual' tunes. For instance, "Jurassic Shift" by Ozric Tentacles is a nice elaborate guitar-driven piece and in my opinion one of the greatest songs ever written...EVER!!! Also, MUST the end jam be a rock tune only? Have you considered re-doing a classical piece? How about "Mars, The Bringer Of Wars" from Holst's "The Planets"? THAT WOULD BE EXPLOSIVE!!! MY GOD!!! Do you realize what an impact that would have on the audience? Do that one and you'd blow the rood off and half the sky with it! WOW! *** Okay folks, had my say, submitted my seven cents worth. Until next time, this is Prog X signing off. Kudos! #B4)~
Thanks, YAMBOY! I was a little worried. This poll and setlist thing is great! Will you be posting results? Top 10 setlist entries, top 3 jam entries ...? That would be cool. Probably difficult, though, with all the different spellings, etc. (Voodoo Chile, VOODOO CHILD). You could definitely do the top 10 setlist, though. ======= Joe, how about a Zeppelin montage for one of the jams? I think Petrucci has done something like that before ... I'm sure you&Steve&John could put together a collection of those riffs that would BLOW US ALL AWAY!! Whatever you guys decide on, I know I'll love it!
I changed my G3 Jam song to "One Bourbon, One Scotch, On Beer"! Written by John Lee Hooker and of course did his own version, "George Thorogood and the Destroyers" version rocks though!! It would be a pretty good tune to get the crowd involved!! Joe, what do you think?? Peace.......Plum Loco Rides Again!!
My pick for the jam has got to be "Whipping Post," cuz you said it had to be rocking. And with 3 of you onstage, why not play a song written for two or more guitars rather than a song written for one guitar (where everyone would be trading off). Mebbe a Thin Lizzy tune (Jailbreak), or Peaches En Regalia (just think, no one would have to sing!) I could see Petrucci doing a Maiden cover, but I suspect that would leave Joe and Steve scratching their heads. Or just pull out all the stops and do a Sabbath tune (War Pigs?) Anyways, that's my 23cents.
Hey joe - I know a great cover song for you. How about The Sails of Charon. Dream theater know it and it would give your US fans, and me since I moved here, a taste of Uli Jon Roth's magic. I saw Uli with you in Glasgow. he is stuck in the 70s but he's cool. He is incidently one of Yngwie's idols too. Of course, YOU may have to sing it!! C'mon..you can do it. I'll even sing it!
Just a thought. Ronnie
Joe - Can't wait for G3!!!!!!!!!!!! ....................... Mega Boyd - Rush fans unite! I saw Peter Green last year along with John Mayall. John was awesome, killer harmonica! Peter was alright, a little crusty though. He did "Black Magic Woman" pretty well. I didn't know (until that night) that he also wrote "The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)". After I heard him play it I must say that I still prefer Judas Priests' version off of "Hell Bent for Leather" better.
Just got the announcement that G3 is going on the road again. I looked but don't see any Canadian dates yet. Please tell me that I'm not gonna miss Joe live!
Hey, Joe in blue, How is your rock cd writing coming along?Well, I hope it will be the extremist styles or dreaming #11 is even waayy better..:) Well.. I hopes to see you at g3 tour very soon..:) Laterz..~Danny~

hey plum loco you know that carlos santana didn't write black magic woman he just covered it. Peter Green wrote it you know the guy who founded Fleetwood Mac. & I am with Al Surfer anything Rush would Rule
Joe i know you probably are gettin tons of req's to come to a certain venue, and understand you can't do everyone you get requested to do. In understanding this I instead would only ask if you could play A venue in the Northeastern states, i.e. anywhere in new england, or new york. There's a boatload of happy new englanders who are dying to see Satch! Im a huge fan and recently played a cover of your song always with me always with you for my high school's "Mr. Andover High" pageant, in the talent portion. I recorded my own backing tracks and played with it live. A lot of people didnt know it wasnt an original, but after i cleared it up many have borrowed, heard, and bought yuor cds.. In short it would really really make my day if you played anywhere in the new england area cuz my parents wont let my drive to michigan from boston. Thanks Joe and I cant wait to here the double cd set from san fran! im also awaiting the DVDs, but more eagerly your next studio album as im sure the rest of us are dying to hear your latest creations and compositions. Till later,
Adam Edelstein
I have a idea, it would be cool if you guys can cover SRV's Wham off of the sky is crying. I think it will be pretty cool to cover stevie ray vaughan. I wish he is still alive.............................. Long live the blues.
hello joe. We miss you here in Europe. We'd really love to see you again. Your last concert in Montreux was just pure heaven. By the way, if you need semething to jam on, why don't you use Zappa's "Zoot Allures", it's quit cool and I'd be really curious to see what you could make out of it. I wish you all the best.
joe,, how are you? cool,,where excactly were you when they stole youre guitars?? im excited to hear of youre new double cd and the g3 have fun peace!,,carl
Alright Joe in Az!!! I can't wait, but of all the places you had to pick to have G3!? I hate that damn rotating stage at Celebrity Theater. It gets rather annoying at times. Oh well either way I'll be there. Rock on........
Joe - are there plans for the G3 to come to the UK? I really hope so. What about trying Crossroads for a jam song? It would work pretty well. Enjoy the tour and I'm really looking forward to the DVD release. Will it have a DTS soundtrack? Really good if it did.
Hey all-- more than a few people have replied to the latest email newsletter asking about the status of Joe's stolen guitars so Joe wanted me to let you all know that they're still missing and to continue keeping your eyes out for them! Info and photos are available in the News section. To answer the other question, when I'm logged in as yamboy, i get the usual color treatment :}
Yo Joe, i'm waiting anxiously for the announcement that you'll be coming back to the UK. Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeee tell me that it's in the pipeline...
keep smiling!!
Does anyone know why there are no east coast dates for g3? This is a sad sad time. Joe and Petrucci are my favorite guitarists... and I'm afraid that they're not coming to Washington DC! That would ruin my summer.
HEY ALL THE SATCH FANS. What do you think of All Along the Watchtower for a G3 jam? And joe if you read this, i said it before and ill say it again. PLEASE COME TO HARTFORD CONNECICUT. i have yet to see you live and i cant continue to live if i dont. peace. Justin
Hey Joe,
That is absolutly wonderful that you are doing another G3 tour! I am really looking forward to seeing you play live. I would go way out of my way to see you live. I have every album, and every video you've ever put up. I don't have many CD's, but I have every one of your CD's. What can I say, you are an excellent writer! You have been a major inspiration in my life, and I just want to say I am really looking forward to seeing you in Chicago. I hope I get those backstage passes, I would love to shake your hand. Anyway, Good luck on the road, and remember, have fun!
Sincerely
Brad
joe...joe,joe,joe...yeah...always busy as usual and cant read our messages :P
but everyone knows i got this live at san franscisco at the top of my
buying list...awnser joe...please..joe...how much time ive sais joe in
my message :P seven time with the last...so if anyone read that :
talk to me :P
hey xrob, i'm still here :} i hope everyone who is posting their ideas for cover songs here is also doing so over in the form -- that's where joe is looking at them!
HEY KIM87.....if you want to learn to play fast like joe it`s gonna take time. The best advice i could give is learn as many different scales in as many different keys as you can. Once you`ve mastered them and are able to play them cleanly you`ll find that your improvisational abilities are much better.
Finger exercises are always good to strengthen the fingers eg:- play different patterns that you find hard to play and concentrate on keeping it clean and fast. I cant give as much info as i`d like on this coz i`ve got limited space.
However, if anyone would like more info( exercises, scales etc.) email me at :- satchboogie@another.com
Hey Joe!!
I´m one of your biggest fan and i would like to ask you about something:
Can you tell my what i need to do to play fast like you? Can you give my any tips or tricks or practice lessons? Please*
Joe! I formaly request that you try to do that version of "Birdland" again with
all your tasty friends! I was lucky enough to do this song in vocal jazz, in college back in 84. Break a leg for your next project w/ John Petrucci! KTF Randell
Joe====Great news with the G3 tour & new CD, can't wait for the DVD===My favorites have always been the live stuff & so happy to see you left some room for Stu's awesome Bass solo's====Pass on to Stu "Outbound" is fantastic!!! We need more, there are so many of us UNAPRECIATED bass players out here it's great havin Stu as our Ambasador, but he is making it difficult for us to keep up with his wicked chops!! Last note where the H#*@ has Mike M. been. haven't heard from him since before X-Mas.
how about a version of "La Grange" (ZZ TOP) in Austin, Tx, which only about 30 minutes away from La Grange, TX. Just a suggestion. You (Joe) and Steve and John
need to play something you guys want to play. However, I would like to see, or hear I should say, some more of the techno loops that you used in Engines of Creation while you are playing on stage. Maybee you could play "Powercosmic 2000" all by yourself on stage, and then have Steve play the "Boston Rain Melody" all by himself on stage, and then have John play something on stage by himself right before you all come out for the finale...how's that for a sonic spongefest? You guys should also try and do something cool with mirrors and stage positioning. Ligthts and visual effects are always fun to see...best of luck!
Hey Joe, i was just checking out the songs on your San Francisco Double Live cd, i noticed a couple of things. A train of angels and down, down, down aren't on there! Did you not perform them on that night? Anyway, please let me know what's going on there. Thanx.
Joe I have just recieved the newsletter and I have seen all these news for the tour : 10 songs for you, Vai, Petrucci and the suggested song !!!!! That makes me crazy!!!!!I want to see it, so please, please, plesae, please G3 in Paris.I won't be able to live without seing you live again!!!!
Mr Vai comes down to see us now & then......why don't you?
Joe get your/G3's butt down to Australia.
i've been asking for 4 years & i've given up hope of ever seeing u live,
have i b***hed enough?? ;P
DeNiro
JOE you said you had an 7 STRING IBANEZ UNIVERSE didn't ya? how come it's not on the gear section of your site.... man this place fills up fast with the new news!!! ........... ===JIMI FENDER BENDER=== what?!?!?!?!?!? ...................................................................... ..............JOE if you come on please read my previous msg! please!
FALLING INTO INFINITY - joe played that last year in san diego, if i remember correctly eric was playing an acoustic, or one of the gretsch looking electrics...... JIMI FENDER BENDER - no it's "Who the f*ck is Yngwie Malmsteen" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAA........now playing - Megadeth - Tornado of Souls
What are the odds of G3 heading to Nashville? If slim odds, I'll need to get tickets to the Chicago show on 7/10. Ticketmaster has zero info on those 7/10 tickets and the show/trip will be a birthday gift for my husband. If good odds, I'm sure we'd prefer to see the show in Nashville.
Hi Joe,
Are you going to include the any NorthEast sites for your G3 tour? More specifically, is NYC or Boston going to be on there? Right now the closest place to me is in Chicago (I'm in MA).
Thanks!
How about a Who song for the jam? Maybe "Won't get Fooled again", "5.15" or "Pinball Wizard"? Either one of those or "Poison" by Alice Cooper. Thankyou.
Joe, I have to say again that you would be great to do a "I Am Sci-Fi" Promo on the Sci-Fi channel. If you donot know what I am refering to, the Sci_fi Chanel has artists of all kinds doing promos. You could be playing your chrome-boy surfing around the moon and than blast into space or something, and we would here you say "I am Sci-Fi". It would be sooooo cooool. Lets give Joe some suggestions on what could be done as a promo. Also Joe, what do you think of Micheal Schenkers 2 new instrumental cds? I would like to hear what you and fans think of them. If ya get a chance check out my Purple Web Page at www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/4258
joe, i know you'll probably ignore this, but i wished you to come here in Italy, but I can't see any italian date here... hey italian girls are hot!! come over here they're all waiting for you... peace
When i saw that the g3 will be with john petrucci i had a an triple orgasm, my god this is like a dream.
The question is if they will make CD to hear. ANYBODY PLEASE ANSWER ME
Great to see "There's New News" lately! ........... Checked out "johnpetrucci.com" to find out more about John. To my surprise I found out that I already have a recording of him (and Mike Portney) in my collection and never realized it! I am a huge Rush fan (I know, I know, I'm in the minority, but being a bassist you can't help but dig them, haha) and there is a Rush tribute album done by Stuuuuuuuuu, Billy Sheehan, Steve Morse, Jake E. Lee, George Lynch, Mike Portney, & John Petrucci to name a few. Anyway, John plays on "Jacob's Ladder". Mike plays on "Working Man", "By-Tor And The Snow Dog", "Analog Kid", "The Trees", "La Villa Strangiato", and "Jacob's Ladder". Stuuuuuuuu plays on "Anthem", "Natural Science", and "YYZ" (Stuuuu is thumpin' on this one!!). I never noticed John was on the album. He sounds outstanding by the way. Sorry to bombard everyone with Rush, because other than ovation over in Japan I realize you all probably can't stand them. Oh well, that comes with being a fan of theirs, ha.
Joe first of all thanks for all the years of great Jams Now on with the ?s.1 are you PLEASE COMING TO CLEVELAND NAUTICA?BLOSSOM? PLEASE!!!!!2 I am also a Vito Brata fan(WHITE LION)I love the way he does Flight of the bumblebee and I know you and Steve could do it .By the way I have never missed your show when you come to Cleveland I live in Akron so Blossom would be COOOOL.Thanks for your time
I cannot express how difficult it was to pick only ten songs for the setlist... horrible!! As a jam, I picked "Another Brick in the Wall" off the top of my head...
HI JOE,
IT'S GREAT TO HEAR ABOUT G3 AGAIN.I'M FROM MALAYSIA.I ATTENDED YOUR CONCERT IN MALAYSIA UNDER RHYTM OF ASIA.IT WAS SO SAD THAT THE SHOW HAD TO BE STOPPED.WE YOUR FANS AROUND HERE WERE VERY FRUSTRATED.UNTIL TODAY WE ARE STILL BLAMING AND CURSING THE ORGANISERS.
I HOPE YOU COULD RETURN TO MALAYSIA FOR A G3 CONCERT AGAIN WITH STEVE VAI AND JOHN PETRUCCI.I MEAN WE MALAYSIAN NEVER SEEN YOU GUYS JAMM TOGETHER AT ALL.
AND IT IS NOW ALWAYS WE GET THE CHANCE TO SEE G3 HERE.
SO I HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER MY REQUEST.THANK YOU.
Hey Joe. I´m OBVIOUSLY going to buy your new DVDs and CDs, but I miss A Train Of Angels and Up In The Sky. I have a question for you. How can I come close (If it´s possible) to the tone of Flying In A Blue Dream with a Les Paul? Wich Pick-ups? Any suggestion?
Joe, this is it,, a great cover song........ Clasical Gas, by Mason Williams.
... it is not that difficult to arange, and 3 guitarist, of G3 caliber, could turn it into a flaming, minor, solo-infested, hell ofa' jam!!!!!!
............Thegoose.....(curtissmith)
Hey Joe...I've suggested The Song Remains the Same for the final jam...I know that Steve Vai is a Zep-head, and Petrucci/Dream Theatre have already played/recorded it once, so if you know it/learn it, that song would be easy for you guys to pull off! I can just hear each of you doing your best Robert Plant imitations right now... ;-)
Joe - awesome cover art for the upcoming release. It is now my desktop wallpaper. Please come to Ohio on the G3 tour, k? My lady-friend that I recorded a bunch of your songs for didn't care for your music too much, sorry to say. It's an acquired taste, I guess.
Hey Joe... You GOTTA play "The Forgotten (Part 2)" in your set!!! As encores, how about "Hocus Pocus", "Frankenstein", & "Funk 49"? It's funny Yamboy used "Frankenstein" as the example; when I was thinking of songs yesterday, that was the 2nd one I thought of. L8r... John aka =o|-[
I think Petrucci is very lucky plus his talent. He's got an oppertunity to play with the legend of guitarists, not one but two at the same time. Eventhough he's not a full soloist but I'm sure that will be his next move and another star is born!
FALLING: Indeed, Joe did play Down, down down on the EOC tour. First song after the 15 minute break. I love that song, but unfortunately some idiot in the front row chose that mellow moment to get up and start cheering. Times when u need a gun...========= Anyway, how about Texas Flood for the jam? Since none of the G3's focus on blues, this would be a chance to see them out of their natural element. And please don't play Highway Star. Every cover band here plays it note-for-note, which kind of defeats the purpose of learning to play guitar. Grab a cool song and mess with it. STUUUUU FOR OPENING G3!! ME FOR ATTENDING G3! Later.
Hey Joe, Listeing from the beginning.Hardcore fanatic listner. My friends might say O.D. I hand the amazing experience of seeing you play twice. Once at Rockstock 98 21st row. 2)Toronto Massy Hall, Crystal Planet Tour 2nd row.ctr. Your music inspires many thaughts, emotion and pure adrenailne. "Berserkr"
*Many have said it before and many more will say it again. Your work is incredable!
* Several times I have tried to request a number of your tunes on my sorry ass raido station.Q104 Halifax, Nova Scotia. Aparently it doesn't "fit into their programing" Nice eh?
*Any chance you cloud play a gig in Halifax, perhaps educate the natives?
*Have you ever had a frosty Alaxander Kieths India Pale Ale?
*Looking foward to a new studio disc.
*Keep crankin' thoes astronomical sounds!
Craig
So Joe, fess up. How did Petrucci get the gig? Was that your suggestion, or did he approach you, or Vai? Did our 'LTE4G3!' posts have anything to do with it?? We want the low-down, behind-the-scenes SCOOP!! That's what being a faithful satriani.com user is all about (the low-down). We could use a little more of that around here ... a lot more, actually. We'd be SOOOOOOOO THANKFUL!!! Please?
Hey Everybody, Peace Love & Good Happiness Stuff: OVATION GUITAR-thanx for the plug, Mike; thrilled you liked the CD :-)... JOE!!! I ASKED FOR "PURPLE HAZE" BY HENDRIX BUT CAN YOU GUYS ALSO PLAY "YOUNG LUST" BY PINK FLOYD FOR A COVER TUNE?!? THAT WOULD SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY ROCK...I heard a live version of Dream Theater performing "In the Flesh" by Floyd and WOW was it cool- I'm sure John Petrucci could get into some David Gilmour riffs, and he would tear 'em up, too...JOE SATRIANI RULES THE FREE WORLD!!! PETRUCCI ROCKS FOR G3!!! -Dave
Well Joe! I chose "The Extremist" as your first song to play and "Time" as your last song to play instead of the first song to play...oh and I would really like to hear "Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness" this tour! I picked a classic Santana tune for the G3 JAM!!! No not "Oye Coma Va" you don't have to learn a different language for me or anything just to play a song he he! But I'd like to hear "Black Magic Woman"!! I'm sure you've jammed with this one in the past as have I.. but I think it would be really cool if three top notch guitarists added their ideas to something with a little latin feel!! Peace......Plum Loco Rides Again!
Well ARN im not sure but i do know that he used some sort of octave up pedal but i dont know which make or brand. thats all i really can tell you cause im trying to find out too i ask every time i write a message. Joe please tell us. and please come to connecticut its the least i ask and if you do im gonna get backstage passes. tee hee. peace. Justin
Hey Joe,
Do you plan on adding several more dates to the already posted list of venues? Think maybe you could work your way farther east later in the summer? =-)
My G3 Jam would be: LED ZEPPELIN- Whole Lotta Love, THE DOORS- RoadHouse Blues and DEEP PURPLE- HighWay Star......SATCH!!!BRING THE G3 TO MEXICO PLEASEEEE!!!
====JOE==== Hopefully Canadian tour dates right???? PLEASE SAY YES! (Joe, please read on) If you come you can be sure FROGMAN and I will be there with the shaved heads and shades!!! AND... about CRUSHING DAY, you know the fans would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to hear it! We all love the solo! We knew the problem wasn't technical even though you hate arpeggios. WE'RE SURE YOU'LL THINK OF SOMETHING! .......HOPE TO HEAR A RESPONSE FROM YOU JOE! . . . hope all goes well! ........................................... I SAY THEY DO RED HOUSE AGAIN! what else is better for just jamming and improvising too?
what's up joe my brother talked to you outside the fillmore before the first show in december& you told him you would come around and play some fo your b-sides I was just wandering what you were going to play at the G3 show in San Francsico this time around there is a whole bunch of us fans out here waiting to hear some cool songs we haven't heard in concert like some people said crushing day would be cool. So would bells of lall part2, WHY is always great to listen to,slow down blues, time machine,if,a new day,I saw you four times on the EOC tour & never heard the title track that one rules!!!!!!!!! Luminous flesh giant's is a rockin tune, I also read in a magazine once that TRUNDRUMBALIND was one of your personal favorites on the Crystal Planet album that would be awsome to hear. Joe we all love you & your music & it would be so great to hear you explore some cool differen't tracks in conert. your the best joe!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish that the Bay Area radio would play All of you more. Kings of Sleep
included. How do us independants get sounds on the net? It seem that you have to be made of $, or lots of web friends. Love to here more from Eric. A lot more from Stu, too. Lots of advice for the performer here on Joe's site.
Obvious kudo's to the band. Take a much deserved break, and then rock us all out to suprize us. KTF Randell
Hello Joe, Will you coming in europe ( In France - Paris ) it's a good occasion for start an European G3 Live!
Please think at all the european Fans !!!
Thanks , bye
Please please please bring the G3 tour to the UK with Steve Vai and John Petrucci. The last one was great but this should be incredible. My three favourite guitarists on one stage. That can't be bad...
Falling into Infinity: Actually, Joe played Down, down, down on the EOC tour, at least at the show I saw. I think it was a standard part of the setlist...
hello there shredders!
If you want to learn more with your guitar, or maybe you just want to have some info about a guitar, or search for satriani(or other) tabs: visit www.guitarpaultje.com!! good luck Joe, with the G3
Joe, your good friend Mr.Vai is bringing out a box set of his work. Are there any plans for you to bring out a box set (including special edition cd's) in the near future? P.S PLEASE bring G3 to GB, both Vai & Petrucci included.
Regards to the band! Please MP3's of live album, like yesterday!
P.S Have you toyed with using a 7 string?
Joe, Read your comments about playing crushing day live. Hope you put out a killer live version of an already killer song. Will be catching your houston show. Just one request though -- Is bells of lal part 2 also a diffcult song to present live or is that song not among the fan favorites..?
That is among my favorite songs and i have never seen that played live after attending about 6 of your shows in the last 5 years. That song would really really make my day. Hope your set list turns out to include all the great songs that we have come to love over the years. Can't wait for the new double cd/dvd set. Once again special thanks to you, steve and john for the new G3 tour and i'm sure it will be awesome. Keep rocking..!
Hey everyone, Can you guys help me out , I'm looking for Tab to Joe's Turkey Man , from the additional creations , if you can help, please e-mail me , thanks guys , Hey Joe , come to the UK , we are sick of Boy Bands , aaaarrghhhh
TO EVERYONE: Just wanted to let everyone know who John Petrucci will have with him, that don't already know. He's gonna have Mike Portnoy (DT drummer) and Dave LaRue (Dixie Dregs bassist). You can view the info at petrucci.com in the News section. I was hoping Jordon would be able to come along too. Guess he's tied up and it is mainly a guitar driven show anyway. And here is a MESSAGE TO JOE: I would like to recommend a song you don't play live(at least to my knowledge). I would REALLY like to see you play "DOWN,DOWN,DOWN" I'm sure many would think of that not to be a great "Live" song...but I beg to differ. I think it would be great about mid-set...to pull it off. I can just imagine the silence in the crowd as you play it. I believe it would be pretty emotional. I really wish it could have been on the DVD. I would like to hear the opinions of OTHERS as well about this. My suggestion for a song in the "All-Star Jam" would be Lynard Skynard's "Free Bird". I'd guess many aren't fans of southern rock..but I think this song would really rock with these 3 guys playing it. Can you imagine the great improv skills these guys could lend to the song's solo?
Man, I'm so stoked for G3!!! Joe, it would be great to see you in the Pacific Northwest, your crazy fans up here would love to see you at the Moore or Paramount Theatre up here in Seattle! Oh, I almost forgot...does anyone know what sort of effect(s) Joe used to get that beautiful and warm tone on the G3 live video/cd when he played the melody line from Cool #9? Thanks.
hi!, where can I buy a satriani's guitar, I'm from mexico but if I go to u.S.A. where can I go to buy it? E MAIL ME PLEASE, thanks
I want to congratulate you because you have been working all your life and now you are the best guitarrist and teacher of all many great guitarrist and all that thing because you was working very hard ,CONGRATULATIONS!! , and sorry for my english, bye and be lucky
Joe, you left Slow Down Blues off the setlist for the d.v.d. I hope you add it to your 10 songs for the show. I think my head would actually explode from pure bliss if you would do that one. That song rocks! Awww give it to me, but ya got to slow down some....my, my, my....*shaking my head with a big*ss grin*
Joe just looked at the new schedule for G3 and i was wondering if there is going to be a new yorkdate in there, i saw you last year and have been waiting for another show to come through this area. thanks again for inspiring me to the guitar and keep up the good work
What do I have to do to get the G3 tour to Montreal. Joe has not been to Montreal in a long time and John Petrucci will be impossible because of promotional problems. (I don't think Steve Vai knows we exist) Please tell me who I have to call and what you need from me. (My cousin is the director of marketing for sony montreal) Chicago is 6-8 hours from Montreal. Please don't let me down, everybody forgets Montreal. Thanks, Charlie.
Hey Joe, i just wanted to ask, how, who or what got you into music. I'm also interested in where you get your motivation from. I just wondered because i was thinking that instrumental rock doesn't seem to be the easiest music genre to break into, or to get lots of fans into (but i guess thats not why you play). Basically my question is how you came to be where you are today?.
P.S. I'm looking forward to the new double album, it looks really cool, almost like a live greatest hits album, you can put me down for 1.
Cheers ~ CBeall from Bonnie Scotland
Yeah, someone suggested "Frankenstein", by the Edger Winter Group, for a jam for G3. I'd have to second that! I'm a senior in high school, and play lead trumpet for our jazz band, and we have a really talented guitarist. Our band director arranged a version of "Frankenstein" specifically for our group, highlighting our guitar player, and let me tell you, the guitar solo's we're SWEET! (man, i wish i could play guitar like him...) Anyways, my point is that it's a great song and has great possibilities for a guitar jam! Thanks!
I am so evious of petrucci. his story sounds just like mine. joe and steve were his hero's when he started playing and now he gets to play with them. im so jealouse. i wish it was me. but i hope that John takes LTE with him cause i think they are his best band yet. peace. Justin
HEY REBELJT---e-mail me..i live in utah also...where are you?? STUUUUU WHERE YA AT???MUST HAVE UPDATES ON THE "OUTBOUND" TOUR...AND THE B3(IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO IT)STUUU WILL YOU BE WITH JOE DURING THE G3 IN VEGAS???WE LOVE YOU STUUUUU!!!STUART HAMM, MICHAEL MANRING, BILLY SHEEHAN...B3!!PEACE
hi joe, how's the arrangement of Crushing Day coming? I think Katnip is on to something with the word "medley" whaddyasay? New Fan Poll: name three of joe's songs you'd REALISTICALLY like to hear blended into a medley. ROCK-ON!!!
Hi Joe,
Don't forget us in the UK. Interesting what you said about Crushing Day. I wrote a while back - the guitar work comes across as Manic and Demented in parts - Could that be what you're looking for as opposed to a polished* performance. Sometimes the shine gets polished away.
Rock, rock, rock on.
Luv, regards and all the best, Ged (And Flat Eric - he still hasn't washed his foot) [:})
well, well, well Joe, I had read about the G3 return, that´s great !!!
but there´s a big problem, who cares about G3 if G3 doesn´t come to Mexico?
answer: mexican people, you came last summer to mexico city, now you know we are garanty. Everybody in mexico know you, we also steve vai and john petrucci, so, you don´t have an excuse for not coming this summer on G3.
I really know you wont forget about us, joe
hey joe. i plan to see you up in chicago... i have never seen you play
before. i hope there isn't an age limit. i live in iowa so it's a five hour drive.
quick question joe... what pedals do you use? i can't get the sound you do
with the pedals i have...
Hey ... All I can say is that when I saw the third member of the new G3 line-up was John Petrucci, I screamed because i was soooooo excited!!!!!! This is the greatest tour I'll ever get a chance to see! To have Satch, Vai, and Petrucci in one show .. man~! :) You guys better come to Boston otherwise my life will be ruined!! Besides, you have so many fans out here, from Berklee alone (especially since Steve and John both went there) .. We all love you!!
Hi Joe I am your ardent fan from Singapore.I had heard all your songs and it sounds great. I think you are one of the best guitarist for this 21st century. I especially like to hear Surfing with the alien. Can I ask you where on earth did you get the idea to write that song? Do you have any plan to perform in Singapore in the near future? Please get back to me if you have any good news.Thanks.
A webcast would ROCK! If you guys won't be covering the whole globe, you should seriously consider it ... something to keep 'em happy. ======= How about some funky 3-guitar rock arrangement of 'Devil Went Down To Georgia' for one of the jams? That might be cool ...
OOHHHH WOOOWWW !!!!! I´m really happy!!! This G3 is very cool! joe, i hope you visit Germany, /w Steve Vai and Petrucci. My favourite guitarist on one and the same stage. I think, it could be really cool. Please joe, come this year to Germany! Please, please, please.
Well said locol7 (sp). Joe, Happy b-day and best of from me and mine!
Crushing Day will lenditself to a medley of several of your songs.
Sometimes songs just don't present themselves for concerts. I doubt that you will let that 1 song slow you down. I've already asked for a list of songs but, I'd like you to pick YOUR favorite song for the best song on the list.
Hope to hear/see youb soon, Randell
Hey Chesss,JP doesnt have any "Satch like tunes". The reason being is he isnt Satch. The sound bites you heard were just that. Sound "bites".Little pieces of music taken out of thier context. Anything taken out of its context will give a different immpression than if it was listened to as a whole. JP's gig is progressive rock. DT does play instrumemtals but it is in a Prog Rock context. While Mr. Pettruci does play fast that isnt what his playing is really based on. Rather it is the composition as a whole. Some of thier best work(in my opinion) is off of Images and Words and Awake. An appreciation of prog rock would help but isnt neccasary if you have an open mind.(nothing intended there dude)Check out some full songs, you might feel differently.some song suggestions are:Under a Glass Moon,6:00,The Ytse Jam,Erotomania,Take the Time,Voices,Lie,The Mirror. Hope you can check these out and get to know a great musician and Band. Peace.
I hate to go against the grain, but I am just reacting honestly here. I never really liked Dream Theatre, but I went and checked out JP's sound bites from his site. All I heard was long chunks of shredding :-( Maybe you JP fans out there can refer me to some more "satch" like tunes JP may have performed so I can check them out.
Hi I'm Israel from Chicago and I would like to know if there's any way I can get my Ibanez JS100 signed by you. I'm such a big fan of the band specially Stu. It would be so great for me to have you signed my guitar as a good luck thing. I'm going this year to see you guys at Reno and at Chicago and I think it's kind of hard to get selected for aftershow passes. I know sometimes you do some stores appearances. Please let me know. And by the way thanks for always playing in Reno. I bet you love to play there. See ya
Hi Joe! Cool cover art. It makes awesome desktop wallpaper ; } Thanks a million for answering my post. You have no idea how incredibly giddy I get when you bless me with your written presence. Thanks again :) MARY G. ~ I'll be there! Love ya g.f.! YAYO ~ dude, you were better off in non-contact scissors combat. WTF did you have your hand in a leather thingy for? Give 'um straight knuckles if you must, but a handshake is always better. peace brudda!
good choice on replacing eric
his riffs were too mechanized............
this is just an opinion but try to stay away from techno
ROCK is & will remain the only gig
Maybe I could get a preferred model #Marshall
I am tryin to get that sound
G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL.........I heard there was supposed to be CANADIAN dates too, where are they???????????????????????I beg of you to play in Montreal:):):):):):).....btw,don't worry I'm not as freak as Eminem's Stan(did you heard that song?).I won't be mad at you if you don't come:)
Hi Joe!! I was so happy that J.P. was joining you for G-3. He has alot of great influences in his style - Di Meola, Vai, et.al. I think he's much more talented than Eric J. I hope you come to Pittsburgh or somewhere close by. Can't wait!! SSSEEEE YAAAAA! :)
Hey!
Joe, I'm from Brazil and a big fan and I was on your gig at São Paulo, it was great...but I would like to leave my request here that you guys (G3) came here to São Paulo, Brazil and maybe all of South America, because not only I (WE, all of your fans here) would love to see you live with your friend and pupil Steve Vai, but now there's John Petrucci in the mix...! That, I'm shure, is a gig that I can't miss. And I can't afford a trip to the U.S. I know it's hard, but please try to come...or give me a hello saying why you won't be able to...
Thanks!
NY, like where you're from, NY!!!! Don't do Beacon if you can help it...too expensive. Standing room is fine! Hammerstein or Roseland!! Thanks for your ear.
I have one sentence (cause I agree, a few people around here had great idea's):
JOE.....What about a "WEBCAST" like other's have been saying!!!....You guy's are probably not coming to Japan :( so that would be the next best thing!!!
Keep them life changin', peacemakin' tunes comin' bro!!!,,,,Peace, Mike.... Dave Shere for G3!
DEAR JOE! ANY DATES PLANNED FOR GIGS IN EUROPE???? WHAT ABOUT PASSING BY IN ITALY, BACK TO THE ROOTS!!! IT WOULD BE A GOOD OCCASION TO MAKE ITALIAN FANS HAPPY AND TAKE THE OCCASION TO GET SOME DAYS OFF AND TO VISIT THE ORIGINAL COUNTRY OF THE SATRIANIS!!!

Date: Wed Apr 25 01:40 King Gimp II<alienlove_child@hotmail.com>:

GHIRAPI
NO SEATTLE?!?
Mwuuh? This bites man. That's my 3 FAVORITE guitarists!!! Please tell me that you're gonna add more dates. How can you not come to the land of Jimi Hendrix? And Nirvana? And Pearl Jam?
Date: Tue Apr 24 23:03 2 TON TESSIE<hmaclean@fdn.com>:
Hey Joe, How about Edgar Winter's "Frankenstien" as a band tune for G3 jam? You could replace some of the keyboard solo's with guitar and let Eric play the rest of the keys.......GARY HOEY for G3 on the east coast leg of the tour.
Nitsua111, I was at the show on the 28th and the songs listed for the live album is indeed the entire set played from that night and the 29th. I have one of those posters also, it rocks. I finally got it back from the frame shop yesterday, I came home and all this great new stuff was posted on the site, I couldn't ask for much more. Joe, looking forward to seeing you in Reno, I'll be missing the Warfield and Konocti shows becuase of Marine Corps reserve training (darn).
dudez.....i got a hairline fracture in my pinky bone......i socked someone repeatedly in the head and i had one of those leatherman multi tool things on my hand kinda like a fist pack but it was square not round, it cut up the inside of my hand and broke my pinky.......lesson of the day, use round fistpacks! so crushing day eh? how about the band just play some loose theme which sounds like crushing day and let joe rip through the leads?
I envy you all guys who're going to the CONCERT. Make it worth waiting for and tell us somw when you're back. (I'm saving up my money for a new DVD player. Are you?)
Nitsua111 - I am 90% sure that is all the material he played at both Fillmore gigs. One of my friends wrote them down but now he can't find the list! Are you going to the Warfield & Konocti shows? ...................... mgm - I was jamming along to "Psycho Monkey" a little while ago - one of Joe's more basic tunes but fun to play.
I thought for sure that Dweezil Zappa was going to snatch up that 3rd spot for sure, I am so completely addicted to his new CD Automatic, but I guess he'll be busy touring on that shortly. I'm in the process of discovering John Petrucci, like many others here I am unfamilliar with his stuff. I found a GREAT Dream Theater show at HOB.com & some other clips at some fansites.. sounds great so far. I REALLY hope there will be a Montreal date added, since I think asking you to return to Ottawa again is right out. Hopefully somewhere in Eastern Canada for sure, there's a lot of us Canajun fans out here, eh?! Also... WEBCASTS! More freakin' WEBCASTS!!! Or at least ONE? Pbbbblease?? ____Smooches,____ » Phy³ . . .
Hey Joe, you're coming to Detroit -- YES!!! I can't wait! I've never seen you in concert before -- this is going to be very exciting! Also cool to see Steve Vai too. Don't know much about John Petrucci -- but I'm looking forward to experience something new. Later.
Hi everyone. I have a bunch of stuff to say, so bear with me...LOL. First, the "artwork" that we think will be the CD cover...that graphic is from a poster that was given to everyone that attended the shows at the Fillmore in SF. I went to both shows, so I have 4 between my dad and I. I really like it...that would be a cool cover. Then again, who knows...maybe we'll get a live shot up there instead. I looked at the CD set list and it seems to be everything that was played...uncut. CD 1 is the entire first set and CD 2 is the entire second set. The first encore was Friends and Surfing With The Alien and the second encore was Rubina. People that went to the Fillmore shows...did he cut any songs out? I don't think so...but feel free to correct me if I messed up. ;-) Ok, now I'm gonna post something that I wrote a few days ago but was unable to post (4 hour rule). So here it is. I don't know anything about John Petrucci, so I downloaded Acid Rain by Liquid Tension Experiment, like someone suggested. AWESOME song... John sounds like a great choice for G3. Anyway, I have a question relating to the song. Does anyone remember the movie Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure? There's a song playing at the end when all of the characters are running through the mall. Beethoven is sitting in the music store messing around on a keyboard, and he plays a song that's the background music for the rest of the scene. It's a real song, not keyboard music...there's guitar and drums and stuff. Anyway, this Acid Rain song sounds a lot like the song from Bill and Ted's...the same style guitar, etc. I always thought it was Extreme/Nuno in the movie, but now I'm wondering if it might be John Petrucci. It obviously isn't LTE (the movie came out in 1989), but it might still be Petrucci. Does anyone know what song I'm talking about? LOL. ...Austin...
Yo Joe - I just checked out your tour dates. I don't see anything in the Philly area. Are you looking to release more dates later?..... And my wife wants to know if you are going to play Psycho Monkey since it's her favorite.
Mike
Dude, Yamboy's photos are awesome!!!! Satch looks like the Reliant
coming out of the Mutara nebula!!!! :) Wait, that should be a geek face with
glasses... B) One thing - This 'John Petrucci' thing: does that mean
Liquid Tension Experiment, or what? Later, Eric
HELLO JOE I´M FROM MEXICO CITY. I WANT TO SAY THAT HERE IN MEXICO ARE MANY FANS THAT WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN WITH THE G3. PLEASE COME HERE WITH STEVE AND JOHN, PLEASE, PLEASE. PLEASE REMEMBER THE GREAT NIGHT OF THESE AUGUST IN MEXICO.
WE'RE SURE YOU'LL THINK OF SOMETHING! .......HOPE TO HEAR A RESPONSE FROM YOU JOE! . . . hope all goes well! . ....................... do we offer a setlist with the user info section? 10 songs? how's that work?
Hi Joe! You haven't heard from me in awhile, because I have been working on family unity kind of stuff, attending seminars and being generally busy with that and my daughter who is at a specialized program (an awesome one) for troubled teens. Anyway, she is progressing and full of power and goals again! I am SOOOOOO excited you are coming to the NORTHEAST!!!!!!! I am tickled and just jumping for joy. Can hardly wait!!!!!!!!! Michelle and I will be there FOR SURE, as will Mak and Evan, I am SURE! ;-D Your music has gotten me through some hard times, in case you didn't know....Take good care. With love and hugs, MARYG
Joe--I've seen you play a bunch of times, but have yet to see you perform The Forgotten pt.2. Have you ever played it live? It doesn't seem the type of song that's to difficult to arrange live, is it? IMHO it's one of the best, most heart-wrenching songs I've ever heard--just not live. Play it!! It's beautiful.
Hey Joe, I have a question for you in regards to the G3 tour. Will you be revisiting any of the cities that youve already played? Especially in the southern California area? Just wondering because I wont be able to make any of the shows because of the miliary. And I have often thought about how awesome it would be to see 3 of my most favorite guitarists all in one show. Thanks
Up Ur ass...Don't worry, Joe will come to Boston. Every one of Joes shows that I have been to has been in OCOTBER. Let's see if I'm right this year. I just hope that this time around he will be back at the Orpheum.
I was just about to say the same thing that Xrob just said, when it dawned (?) on me that you can't post in this page without logging in, so there's a problem. Unless he logged in and then posted his question. Anyway, anybody here from Denver, or can somebody tell me if the Fillmore in Denver is general admission? Thanks in advance. Later.
Joe... dear god, I'm so excited for the G3 tour that I almost want to cream in my pants. I beg of you, guitar hero, please come to the Tweeter Center of the Performing Arts (formerly Great Woods...website is at www.greatwoods.com) in Mansfield, Massachusetts. It's a huge outdoor pavilion that features such tours as Ozzfest and well respected bands like Aerosmith (seeing them June 26th) and so many more. If you can't come there, please come somewhere near the RI/MA border which is where I live.. please joe, if I don't see this concert I don't know what I'm going to do... it will be a very crushing day *drums* ill be here all week (fun fact: crushing day is my favorite song)... yes and I am a terrible comedian. thanks for reading joe, hope to see you with steve and john... -ryan
Hey joe...Can't wait to see you at the show in Ft.Worth. I might travel to Austin to see you all play as well. I love the fact that you were able to get Petrucci. I remember awhile back when you asked everyone what they were currently listening too. "Scenes from a Memory" had just come out recently and you got all these comments about it. You a fan of Dream Theater yourself joe? Or LTE? I am like many others that would like to see you play Crushing Day. You can say what ya want..but out of all the songs you play..that solo must be one of the hardest. Considering that you rely mostly on legato now adays, I really couldn't see you pulling that "speed picking" part off again. No offense of course...I'd like to see what you can do with it. I love the entire solo you played in that song..it blew me away. Well, thanks for putting another G3 tour..talk to ya later.
Hi Joe, hope you're feelin well, please, please, please come to England on your G3 tour as I have a brain tumour and might not live much longer, I could do with seeing you again before I go to that great gig in the sky.Yours hopefully, Andy from England
Joe, Somebody,
I am going to attend the Fort Worth Show, but I can't get the attendance link to let me join the list. It keeps telling me I am not logged in. Help.
Roger Smith
Hey Joe you finally talked to us! so seriously after G3 can i take lessons? I think if you herd me play you might consider it (kirk only payed 5 bucks). I know i have no cance but hey its worth a shot. Please fit a Connecticut concert into your east coast tweeks. peace. Justin
Damn, I'll be away during the bay area shows, but I definatly taking a road trip to Reno baby!!! And I'll have a new double live CD play on the way there and back, bonus! Keep the news flowin' webmaster and Joe.
Hello mr, Satriani, I hope you and the band can come to Sweden again. I was in Stockholm on your consert last year. I´m 50 years old and your consert was the best I´ve ever seen and listening to and I have been to a lot of consert and have seen many famous artists. I am very glad that you signed mine JS 10TH guitar and it was very nice to talk to you after the consert.
Iwish you all the best,
and I hope you come to Sweden soon.
Tomas, "Lillchucken"

Hey Joe, I know your probably having enough trouble sorting out touring in the U.S alone, but are you going to be doing a European tour? Please do one, you know you want to, anyway, if you do will you be comin' to Ireland? I'll provide you with lots of guiness if you do. hehe. Thanks for the great music Joe, its given me a huge insperation on guitar, and is damn excellent to listen to too :)
Hey Joe! I'm so glad that you're taking G3 on tour again, and John Petrucci is a great third part! I only hope that you would play NY or NJ! That would be a dream come true, since I'm from Ecuador-South America, and will be relocating to the tri-state area next month.
Best wishes!
Jaime Moscoso.

Joe,
Thanks for being my muse for all these years. I happen to own the JS6 Koa Wood Ibanez with Fixed Tail-Piece, and wanted to know why you had stopped endorsing that particular model? I love the capacitor pull switch, and think it sustains very well.
Let me know,
Thanks,
Tom D.
Hi Joe! Extremely excited about the news of the DVD and live CD. Also, about the G3 tour. Do you think you will bring G3 back to Europe (especially London) in the future? I would love to see You, Steve and John on the same stage! Take care, Jimmy (London)
JOE, I think you'll have no problem presenting it stylistically......just groove with it and let it flow....Crank it up baby!!....Can't wait to hear the dates to flow..this is an added bonus..And can everyone feel the heatwave comin'!..The Satchman is ridin' on top of it....Thank's bro, and keep them life changin' tunes comin'!!!!....Peace, Mike

Woohoo!! Patience Michelle, I'm sure Joe won't let U down!! Yes Joe...please tweak the east coast dates so that "TORONTO" is included! can't wait for it!! U DA MAN!! oh and more thing Joe, sorry for venting and complaining about things that aren't even in my control! If I can't change what went on in Quebec City, personally....why worry then?!? Peace.....Plum Loco Rides Again!
Hello Joe, thanks for the big news. I hope you come to Europe with the G3 project and solo tour. If you aren`t able to make it to Portugal, at least come to Madrid in Spain (despite all your fans here in Portugal being craving to see you live again in our country!). Joe thanks for all, the best for you. Thank you very much, regards Alex by Lisbon Portugal.
The only bummer about the new album is that "Up In The Sky" is not on it. Otherwise it the track selection looks so amazing. Never thought that he'd put Friends on an album. later,
Dan
Joe, really nice to hear from you! I am soooooo glad to hear about east coast dates being worked out...I will wait patiently here in NY..... But what about YOU STU? How ya doing? I've always wanted to know one thing- I know you've played with Vai as well as Satch, and I'd be interested to hear your personal opinions of their styles. Can you sense Satch's influence still in Vai's playing? Thanks a lot!
I'm thinking Jeff Beck's "Freeway Jam" or "Scatterbrain" off of 'Blow by Blow' might be fun tunes for the Gees Three to cover... Then there's always Jimi's "Ezy Rider", "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)" or "Third Stone From the Sun", too. So many great tunes out there... Good Luck!
OK, THIS GONNA ROOOCK!!!! TAAANNNXXX SATCH!!! YOU AND PETRUCCI ARE MY FAVS. GUITARISTS OF AAAALLLL TIME!!! IM SO FUXN XCITED ABOUT ALL THIS STUFF!!! PLEAAASEEE RELEASE A CD AND A DVD AND A VHS OF THIS TOUR!!! PLEEAAASSEEE, since i live in México, i think theres no chance for me to see you guys on a live performance....snif..!! TAAANX AGAIN SATCH!!TRY TO MAKE IT HERE IN MEXICO PLEEASEE!!ARRRGGHH!!....anyway, "CRUSHING DAY" Mistery solved...=0) Why dont you create a backing track of the second guitar SATCH? on that song i mean. That will make that song more "full" of life...like the sampler on other songs you performed alive. Dying TO GET MY DIRTY HANDS ON THAT FILLMORE SHOW DVD!!!!
Great to hear about Crushing Day, Joe. Hope it makes it to the set. It would kill everyone in the audience. Now spare me from choosing a concert to attend and send me tickets for all the Southwest shows :) All we need now is to have Stuuuuu open the show with his solo material, and we're set. Man. Later.
Joe! Glad to hear you're going to be out there again this summer. Is Portland part of the grand scheme?? Can't make it to Konocti resort from oregon this time to see you, but rest assured, I'd be happy to do another pre-show fire inspection for any safety issues ;) Have a good one. See you in Portland! The Fireman
Wow john petrucci man! That is so awsome! I wonder what he'll play? Anyway, joe man, COME TO CARDIFF! IN THE UK!!!!!! Actually i don't care where you come, aslong as it's in britain-i'll be there!!!!!!! So is G3 coming to europe then?please say YES!!!!!!!!Peace.

AND... about CRUSHING DAY, you know the fans would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to hear it! We all love the solo! We knew the problem wasn't technical even though you hate arpeggios. WE'RE SURE YOU'LL THINK OF SOMETHING! .......HOPE TO HEAR A RESPONSE FROM YOU JOE! . . . hope all goes well!
joe! Hey JOE!!!! FANF------tastic!!!! Denver on the 4th of July!!!! yeah buddy!!! Yee-HAH!!!!! ALLF------RIGHT!!!!!! EXCELLANT!!! RIGHT ON!!!! I can't flippin' wait!!!!!......but........but........why??? WHY??????? WHY the Fillmore?????????? Ooooooh, man.......I tried to warn ya..... G3 could've bumped ANYBODY off at Red Rocks!!!!! That's the ONLY venue in town worthy of that line-up!!!!! But I'm DAMN glad you're comin'!!!!!! SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
OOOOOO,if not ICE9 for the jam hows about Bells of Lal pt 2? that song was made for jammin. Is JP gonna be by himself or is it LTE? that little melody you play over the muted arpeggio in New Day is the just the most sublime little ditty I have ever experienced. Divine inspiration or what? Oh,and did I mention we would love to have you here in Connecicut? Good luck with CRushing Day,that tune rocks. Hope you can work it out.Peace love and good happiness stuff.
Joe this is Mike Virginia Beach I hope you do your eastcoast tour and come back to the Norva. I know things got screwed up a couple of times here but you and the band are wanted and myself and many others have been waiting for some dates. PLease i beg you!!!!!! come back and play for a little. At least 5 min 30 seconds i dont care. i just want to here you play 1 more time. It would be fantastic and we would be satisfied. Me, myself, my life would be ready to be taken. I would die peace! LOL but on the serious note please come back and play atleast one more show. We would love it.

Yes, I'm cheating. But it's not so often Joe is visible in blue ... HI JOE!! I'll definitely be at the Fort Worth show. Yes, I hope you get Crushing Day worked out! I put it on my setlist, 10 songs check 'em out!
ooooh the man in blue....... i think the color of the text we post in needs to be channged, looks kinda hard to see sometimes, maybe it's just moi......i liked the time machine bacground with the black text better....boo hooo.....joe, you a fan of blue man group ? ......now playing - eric johnson - are you experienced.
...darkdream, the problem with crushing day is not a technical one, it's
with the style of the arrangement and making it work live. some songs we
do live, like cool #9 or surfing, seem to work no matter how we change
them, but crushing day has simply never worked. stu, jonathan and i use
to struggle with it on the '88 tours, and it always came out kind of flat,
rushed, with not enough interesting parts for the band to play... funny
you should ask though, because i've been practicing the song once again
in the hopes that i can solve the riddle as to how to present it stylistically to
the band and audience. wish me luck!...joe...
JOE!!!! What are you doing??!! Yesterday I was very excited to hear you're latest CD. But I was very dissopointed!!! Don't get me wrong, you're really my favorite artist!! But I just didn't like it. It's all to electric and over-produced. I do like the effects you have, but I found it a bit to much. I do think that you're really playing, because you've proved to play very difficult songs, with lots of effects in it live (cool). there is no doubt that you're playing on the CD, and not a computer ore something. But I'm most dissopointed that I can't play along with the CD, because I only have a cry baby and a lausy distortion. But I do have a big old fender vibrolux, and a good stratocaster (california series). But any way, I just saw that you've made a new live CD!! I hope it also comes out in Holland. And I hope you're also coming to Holland (Netherlands, Amsterdam you know??) with G3 this year!! Bey!! Menno.
TO ALL-...is it true Joe cant play CRUSHING DAY anymore?......i heard that somewhere......anyone???....well Joe, ill go with Plum Loco-...you should play something off every album...its the only way to satisfy every Satchoholic out there.....hope to see you or hear from you soon buddy!...peace out.....DarkdreaM
Michelle, of course they'll be doing an East Coast run. Don't fret. ======= Hopefully, they'll even make it down to Australia before packing it in ... got some faithful listerz down there, Joe. ======= I'll probably be at the Fort Worth AND Chicago shows ... heehee. : ) ======= I think you guys are missing the point on the jam songs - they're not going to play any of their own stuff for the jam!! ======= You gotta do something by Zeppelin (Black Dog?) and always some Hendrix (Voodoo Chile?), but I'm not sure about a 3rd jam ... how about Kiss (Domino?)??? ======= I'll update my setlist for 10 tracks, but It'd really kick @$$ if you played one of the new songs for the next album. You know you want to!! : ) ======= I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS SHOW!!!! Good luck on the road!
Joe, please come to the east coast. You have one hell of a group waiting for you in Philly. I just looked over the list and I can't explain the pit in my stomach not seeing any dates for around here. uuuggghhhhhh, where's my whiskey!
Date: Tue Apr 24 07:31 2 TON TESSIE<hmaclean@fdn.com>:
your trying my patience here, more tour dates please..........
WOW!!....I came here so fast I had to back-up and check the homepage again

WEBMASTER......Great job!....This place is gettin' better all the time!!!
Peace, Mike
I hope there is going to be a DVD of the G3 this year, I can see this one REALLY rocking! Shame there are no G3 dates in the UK, seems as if we're going to miss out a bit.
Long time no see people, just logged on, JOE on tour "awesome" get your ass in gear and get the plane over here. Britain that is your most welcome in Glasgow.
And then, oh joy a live album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What could be better there is little that can beat the energy created by a live performance. I just cant wait.------PHATMAN-------
Joe, Great lineup for the new G3!!! Listen, it would be really cool and unique if you did a G3 with Sonny Landreth on the bill. Nobody pays attention to this guy and he's seriously one of the few slide guitar virtuoso's on the planet. While everybody else is still trying to play like Duane Allman, he's out there creating a sound all his own. You really should check him out...especially the South of I-10 album. I only tell you this because I feel he is one of only a handful of people worthy of sharing a stage with you.
Michael Shaun Norton
Joe..Glad that John Petrucci is on board. Dream Theater are amazing. There are no eastern US gigs though. Will you be doing the Eastern US later? Atlanta awaits. Eric Johnson is playing at a music festival here in 2 weeks. Hope life is fun...Ronnie
Hi Joe. Tour dates: Cool! No UK ones: Aaargh! Come see us! And don't sail past us on the bus this time, it was my birthday last time we saw you and I didn't get a photo! ;) Take care dude....
Joe i just read the news "HELL YES" thank you, thank you, thank you, a thousand thank yous. I mean its worth it just to see you and steve but to have john petrucci I must be honest, is my dream come true. Three of the of the most influintial master guitarist in my mind all on one stage again i say "HELL YES"!!!!!!!!I'll be waiting in Houston for you guys. This G3's gonna be hard to top THANK YOU JOE. THIS IS TO MUCH (JUMPING UP AND DOWN).
just read the news;: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
Joe...YOU HAVE TO COME TO NEW ENGLAND (Boston or somewhere in connecticut)!!! I don't think I could live with myself if I missed this G3...Joe, Steve, John!!! Great lineup! Please come out to new england!!!
hello from PARIS (france)...
i'm glad to see that live performances are still a great reason to make a cd !!! and it's better when it's a joe's one!!!
i m just waiting for the next european tour .... and i 'm sure that the french food and wine will be apreciate by all the staff of Mister joe ...
thanks for your music
Woo! Only blue writing would make me any happier! YEah I like the imagery on the CD with the exception of the writing it looks *so* like it has been made using Microsoft WordArt and looks annoyingly cheap. Still it looks good, I've only been listening to Joe about a year now, still tryign to catch up on some of the earlier stuff, but that tracklist looks good. I've really wanted to see Joe live so pleease come to England this year at some point. Plus, I've really wanted to hear EOC songs live, so this will come close I imagine. Woot!
** I am looking forward to catching Joe on the road soon but I would like to see some unreleased songs or possibly some improvisational material on the next Joe tour (or G3)... I love Joe's music but how many times have we seen the same songs played over and over, like "flying" or "summer song" recycled over and over until they have lost their magic.. I think the coolest stuff is the unexpected jams like "satch banana rasta" and stuff we haven't heard before live, or maybe just variations of songs. I don't mean to complain but just consider this positive feedback instead. I think the show can be a lot cooler than it already is. see you on the road Joe!
Date: Mon Apr 23 23:41 2 TON TESSIE<hmaclean@fdn.com>:
Hey Joe whats up baby, looks like you got some tour info action goin on up in here along with a new live CD-DVD. thats good, thats real good. Now get your skinny little bald headed butt down here to Florida so I can hear some more of that funky Alien, mind warping, shred monster, Light speed, Hart stopping magical guitar wizardry that you do sooooooo well.......thanx for all the great music Johnny
Hmm, I'd like to see "Flavor Crystal 7" be worked into the show, but i'm not sure how that would work since it's in a compound time. What is it, 7/8 count or something? Maybe "Attack?" "Raspberry Jam Delta-V," "Secret Prayer," and "A Train of Angels" comprise the rest of my suggestions for songs. Glad to see Petrucci will be joining the G3 tour.
ZEMKAR - yeah, joe's chromeboy peeled...... WOW upadtes, thats cool! a new cd! gonna hafta get that........ what to play ? well joe should play some stuff from every cd, throw in "not of this earth" and "crushing day" thats roght lets get back on with the chanting of CRUSHING DAY CRUSHING DAY CRUSHING DAY......we didnt get it last time though, never hurts to try! the end jam should go a little something like...... get your party gown and get your pigtail down and get your heart beatin' baby got my timin' right i got my act all tight....thats right, TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN.........it would be coolness
Joe, can't wait to catch you and the other G's on the 2001 tour! Having Steve and John on is gonna kick some booty for sure; such a great line-up. Hopefully i'll be able to see you in Vancouver; keep on rockin', trevor (www.nerbas.com)... btw, i'm really lookin' forward to the double disc live DVD..!

Hows the vacation?? any new insirations come out yet?? i hope sooo...im really down about my playin...STUART HAMM, MICHAEL MANRING, BILLY SHEEHAN...B3!!!PEACE!!
the question is what took you so long to pick petrucci????? oh man this will kill any show i have ever bee to before GET YOUR A$$ES DOWN HERE TO AUSTRALIA....you owe us three g3's from 96,97 and 98
3dsatch, I don't see a problem!?! Petrucci wow! Better than that calky bugger by the name of Yngwie J. Malmsteen!! Can't wait for that.......(IF YOU COME TO TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA)!! I'm not sure if you'd want to play becuase of our neighbouring province of Quebec and the big International Free Trade talks and the chaos out on the streets while all the major government leaders of the world are looking on in total disgust!! Makes Canada look like a 3rd world country!! And at the same time it's probably the most important meeting with the World leaders to date! This could tie the bonds between our many countries and save billions and billions of dollars! And the darn French are at it again! They want their cake and eat it too!! Why, is it in Quebec anyway?? Heck they don't want to be part of our fine country of Canada...(as Tom Cruise said in the movie...Born On The Forth Of July..."Love It Or Leave It" ...and that means jumping on a boat or a plane and high tail your asses out of here..forget this SEPERATIST CRAP.......CRAZY CANUCKS...You are an embarassment to the Canadian people.....OK, OK, OK .....On a lighter note!!!!!!!! Joe....... mind blowing news! Yet another Live Disc!! Can't wait till June! Turning out to be a good year for Satch fans!! I truely can't wait for June and hopefully the G3 concert! IN TORONTO!!!! Peace.......Plum Loco Rides Again
Webmaster wanted song list request?!!!! Echo, Cool #9,Mystical Potato Head
Grove Thing, Hill of Skulls. You can play Always with You/ Always with Me for a encore, please. John Petrucci!!!!!!Great. Thanx again. Now if I can just get the tri-picks I need for summer....Katnip
I second the request for a tour date in Raleigh, NC... The Ritz would rock!! I'll be there this Saturday for Eric Johnson... Rest assured I'll be in line for the live CD in a couple of months...
WHOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!! 5 concerts within driving distance!!! Denver & Santa Fe are on the same way!!! Here I come baby!!! OK let's start with jam songs suggestions: CRUSHING DAY, CRUSHING DAY, and maybe CRUSHING DAY. Oh man, I'm so fu@@@@@@@ng excited... I'm as happy as a little girl. Later, fellow Satch dudes and dudettes.
Hey all,.. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find guitar tablature for the G3 album, specifically the songs "My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama" & "Red House". I've tried most of the online search engines and I keep coming up with a whole lot of nothing. The guitar work on these songs(as well as the others) is freakin' amazing,... I gotta get in on that. Can anyone help??
Joe - I just talked to someone at Konocti and they haven't heard anything about July 1st.. There is 16 of us ready to buy tickets. What's up? Will Stu be there?
I ask you Joe and Jon to please not ban me for this message.G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL G3 IN MONTREAL.ETC...............IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU COULD MAKE IT UP TO MONTREAL,YOU DIDN'T COME FOR THE EOC TOUR,YOU GOT ALOT OF FANS TOU THERE +THE WEATHER IS GOOD SO WHAT CAN YOU ASK FOR?????????????????...jimbojim...
this will no doubt get Joes' attention hehehe....But I would really like to use the name Bells of Lal part 3 for the name of a song on my album...probably won't like that idea joe but...i had to ask. I'm well aware some will think of this as a horrible idea, some won't care, and some may think it is a good idea.
I have one song with no name and it has the same feel as the other 2 Bells songs do. I think it would be neat to have a name like that on my album...not to copy Joe but to be able to put something relating back to my hero in black and white aswell as musically!!! It is not meant to disgrace Joe but to show others what I feel about his music! Love the tunes and tours Joe keep smiling... I apologize in advance to all who are offended by this idea (including you Joe) and appreciate your feedback. thx Chris~
hey joe, this g3 is looking like a great project! i missed the last g3 but i
am not planning on missing this next one!!!! i think i will attend the concert
in San Diego CA, if i can get my parents to relax a little(lol)! well you asked for some input,,,, as far as your personal songs,,,MPHGT, Surfin, Always and the usual! in any order.... but when you all come together,,pppllleeeaaasseee
make sure to play "My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama"... that jam is awsome!!
.....thanks once again for all the music you make,,,and ill be looking forward to this concert,,, peace out- thegoose (curtis)
Hi Joe! Eagerly anticipating the live CD's/DVD...yep, I'll be buying both! I seriously cannot wait...looks great. I'll be happy to have live versions of the newer songs, as well as some older faves. And if that artwork is the album cover, as I suspect, it's awesome. Love the vivid colors. Kepp up the good work...you never fail to astound!!
Hey Joe, thanks so much for keeping the music real and emotional. So many times it seems that people forget that sometimes the greatest music doesn't have to say anything to mean the most. Thanks again!
Joe, noticed no east coast G3 gigs yet....please don't skip North Carolina again...tell those bozos @ the Ritz in Raleigh, NC to cut a deal....pronto! For the Engines of Creation tour...the Virginia gig was an organizer's nightmare... So NC & Virginia didn't get a show ...you've got many fans here!! But I did drive to the Myrtle Beach HOB to catch you. Very nice choice, John P....lots of diversity there...but why that Vai guy again!! LOL :)
fresh page time! new info on the upcoming live double CD and DVD, plus
John Petrucci confirmed for G3 and the first batch of G3 dates announced!
Coming soon: Joe wants to hear what you guys think the G3 jam band
should play, so we'll have a poll up for that, plus also suggesting set lists
for his ~10 song set!
