Just got back from an amazing show (and vacation) at Copper Mountain, Colorado.
5 great guitar players and their bands on Sunday July 30 (in order of appearance):
Mark Selby
Joe Bonamassa
Sonny Landreth
John Jorgenson
Joe Satriani
It was great to see Satch with the "new" band. I've been a fan of Dave LaRue since I saw him with John Petrucci on one of the G3 gigs.
The outdoor stage was facing the main ski slope and the weather was great.
I enjoyed hearing some of the new music from SC. The highlight for me was hearing the extended ending on Always, that I have been reading so much about in previous reviews - it was fantastic!

this show was simply amazing. being so close to the stage was so freakin exiting. i could see everything so clearly that i almost shat myself. he makes it look so easy. his set was also the best. he played the extremest, satch boogie (my favorite), surfing with the alien, and super colossal. OH GOD it was so incredible. and the encore at the end with red house and im goin down, no words can express how amazing it was. by far one of the best shows ive ever been to. thanks joe. -jackson
