I must have had the best spot in the house (front row, center) because a lot of the time Joe was playing right in front of me, only 5 feet away. As he was down on his knees a lot it was just like having an intensive private lesson with the master himself. Being this close I could really sense his presence and feel what an emotional player he is. What a thrill to experience Joe at work this close. No live-concert-DVD could ever beat the real thing.

The setlist was a total delight and Joe was excelling at his delivery of alternative extended versions of his beautiful music. I particularly enjoyed his rendition of "Always with me, always with you" - here he was really down on his knees - and "Circles" which he transformed into "Driving at night". And "Crowd Chant" is a hit!!! Itīs such a pleasure to watch Joe perform because of his incredible creative artistry and professionalism. He is a musician of the highest level - a true artist.

After the show I went to my second "Meet & Greet" with Joe in less than two weeks and I just canīt help being starstuck in his presence. I have all these things I wanna say about his music and when he enters the room my mind goes blank - a real shame because Joe is really paying attention to what youīre saying. But one thing Iīve learned from these meetings with Joe is that he is not only a great guitarplyer and musician, but also an extremely sensitive thinker and communicator who has a Godgiven gift of being able to express his feelings and thoughts about life through music. He is an articulate, unpretentious, no-nonsense person who takes his fans very seriously. Joe, you are an extraordinary rolemodel and I love your music and everything you stand for. Thanks also to Galen who hung out with us backstage for being such a good sport - and you ARE good at taking pictures........Before the show I was lucky to catch Jeff and Dave and have my picture taken with them as well - Joe has really surrounded himself with the nicest and most friendly people you can imagine! A huge thank you also to Mick Brigden........!!

The only downside was that the air at this venue was thick with cigarette smoke. I had a strong feeling that Joe was bothered by it and I donīt blame him because it was really disgusting. It seemed to me that because of this Joe didnīt feel like saying anything untill half way through the set and we didnīt get any "Good evening Copenhagen how are you doing" or "Itīs good to be back". And we didnīt get his Hendrix-teeth-picking-trick either like he did in Holland and the UK. And I understand him completely. Had I been Joe I would have simply walked off the stage. I went to his show in Newcastle and over there he was really communicating with the audience and Jeff was shaking the chickens and everything. If all you smokers had shown Joe and his band (and all the rest of us who donīt smoke) some respect, Iīm sure we would have gotten some more cool interaction with Joe and perhaps a longer show.

YOU DID IT AGAIN, JOE!!! This was one of my best Joe Satriani concerts ever (my third). Great sound, fantastic set-list (included Cool # 9), my place in the front/middle, the band - wooowwwww.

I did not miss any interaction between you guys on stage. I think all four of you were communicating pretty well - especially Jeff and Dave, and the way Jeff was looking at Joe, in the end of almost every song, where Joes endings were unpredictiable!!

Great show - thanks again to all of you - I will be there again next time!!!

Great show as allways and Joe as a guitarplayer is better than ever :-)

Still I miss some bandinteraction - Dave and Jeff are so good musicians and should have more space in the show - That would make Joes performance even better. Dave LaRue is a hit. Everyone has allways loved Stu Hamm and his chops, but I allways thought that Matt Bisonette in generel was a better and more musical bassplayer. Dave is the perfect mix - The flash form Stu and the good groove from Matt. And finally: Why not play as a trio? It is so much more raw and ballsy. And to be honest - Galen looks a bit boored on stage. The setlist - A mix of old a new stuff but nothing from Crystal Planet, Enginens..., Strange beautifull... or Is there love in space...!!! Why not? I like the "surfing-songs" and the new jammed versions are great but they're played allmost everytime... But it's cool to hear Joe jam the songs... It really suits him... My 7 year old son went with me and just loved it... And good to see that even though it's Roskilde festival that so many young people went to see Joe and digged it... The (allmost) new amp sounded good, but some settings (properly the high gain channel) has allmost to much bottom-end and was muddy in the room. I allways thought that the blue anniversary Marshall 6100 suited Joe perfect.

But overall a brilliant night... And Joe is as fresh as the first time I saw him in Saga 16 years ago...

im one of the biggest fans of joe. this was my 2nd joe's concert. show was great and no doubt he is the best guitar player on the planet earth. show started with Adrian Legg, never saw or heard him b4 but i must say his guitar work is very creational and tremendous but somehow i think he was a misfit to open for joe, anyway i liked alot what he played. coming back to joe he started the show with flying in a blue drream and after that total crazy stuff right till the end. powerful guitar riffs, solos and above all the screaming dive bombs which i think joe is so perfect at. his dive bombs really make me go crazy i love them. the song list included the following: 1) flying in the blue dream 2) just like lightning 3) redshift riders 4) 1 robot's dream 5) a cool new way 6) cool # 9 7) crowd chant 8) summer song 9) extremist 10) mystical potato head groove 11) surfing with the alien 12) satch boogie 13) always with me always with u 14) ice 9 15) circles 16) meaning of love 17) super colossal. unfortunately photography was not allowed, but fortunately i took lot of pictures (keeping one eye on the guards other on the camera). i think im the only one who has got so many pics and all of them are very nice. real close shots as i was standing right in the front row. anyway one who is interested in pics so send me your email you will get them. my email address is: syounossi@hotmail.com i must say it worth every øre (penny).
