You made the highlight of my year by appearing at Skip's! No jive, Joe! I believe a couple people in the Q&A session spoke for the rest of us when they expressed their appreciation for you.

You were brave to field questions that were mildly personal such as "How's your wife?", the story behind your hats, the safety of your crew when choosing tour locations, and receiving opinions for past and future guest guitarists for your G3 tours. It was enlightening to hear you say that a person can practice too much and not benefit, when learning the proper technique slowly and accurately is much more effective. Although the majority of your fans are males, by answering the question regarding the inspiration behind "Always With Me, Always With You" was your wife, there was a collective sentimental sigh. Hearts melted. Your gracious responses and words of wisdom speak volumes (way beyond 11.)

I hope you'll find it worthwhile to produce another "Satch Tapes DVD, vol. II" to provide ideas behind your songs, additions to your musical styles, & possibly snippets of valuable advice. If people realize that bootlegging for profit can cut short the career of an upcoming musician, fans may think twice about purchasing.

During the M&G, I was thrilled that you were sincerely thankful to receive a photo I snapped of you at Konocti Harbor in December 2000. And if someday you connect with (jazz/blues) bassist Freddie Williams, I'd love to share your story with a childhood buddy of his who works with me.

Have a safe and fun tour; we're counting on seeing you, Jeff, Galen and Dave in Northern CA this year! I hope you get a ton of crowd participation for "Crowd Chant" - sounds like fun. My favorites from Super Colossal: Redshift Riders; A Cool New Way; One Robot's Dream; The Meaning of Love; Made of Tears; A Love Eternal.

Joe I just wanted to thank you for stopping by Elk Grove at Skip's Music Store. It was great listening to you share your thoughts and experiences. And thank you for signing the CD and the poster. I also picked up two of your guitar straps one of which is for my son who was looking forward to attending but was unable to because of school commitments. We love the art work.

Joe, words can't even express how you made every single person at Skip's Music feel. You were so extremely polite and down to earth, it was awesome. My girlfriend and I waited for about 5 hours and then got to listen to the Q & A session which was awesome. You signed my girlfriends Fantastic Four comic with Silver Surfer on it for her brother and then you signed my cd and the poster. We can't wait to see you in San Diego and can't even begin to thank you enough for such a wonderful and intimate experience with you!
