Excellent concert. First time ever catching any of these guys performing live. Now I have become a big Dream Theatre fan and have gotten hooked on Satriani's Crystal Planet as well as enjoying anything Steve has been associated with. Wish I could attend G3 03 at West Palm on holloween night.

Wow! What a great night! Firstly, John Petrucci's opening song was simply unbelievable. I had the pleasure of having 4th row center stage for the show and I'll till you I was in awe. Petrucci and his band were so heavy and the sound was clear and concise, he blew me away! Next came Vai,let me tell ya he also did not disappoint.. I felt his use of the whammy bar was alittle too much at times however when he and Billy Sheehan traded licks one on one it was jaw dropping. Sheehan performance on bass was the best I have ever seen. Oh yeah how can I forget Virgil Donati drum solo it totally kick major ass. Then came Satriani. He quite simply tore the place apart. His shredding on guitar was outrageuos. Satch's playing was without any flaws. I just sat back and enjoyed one of the best guitarist in the world. He was outstanding! Finally ,all three guitarist came out at the end and jammed together. I never heard La Grange sound any better with each guitarist trading licks with one another, it was awesome. The G-3 jam continued with a couple of Hendricks songs that totally rocked out. Overall a fantastic night that I'll never forget. I digged the show so much that i"ll be goin to The House of Blues in Orlando to catch the final show. One last thing Nick Mcbrain, I believe thats his name, of Iron Maiden sat directly behind me at the concert, that was pretty cool. Go see this show!!!!!!!!!! later, Stogie

Great show! Sound quality was well balanced, not an easy to do in that venue.

Had a chance to meet Joe and everyone back stage. Joe was really cool about it even though family was there. Thanks again Joe. Also had a great time hanging out with Jeff C. and Stu, thanks Jeff for the long chat session, I really enjoyed it. Unfortunatel I spent too much time in the back as I missed meeting Steve, who I have met before in Orlando at Full Sail, Billy and John where the ones that I regret not going back up front to meet,Oh well.

As usuall Joe covered many a good tune and was pretty tight as usual. Steve came out with great passion and put on a great showmanship opener and mixed it up with Billy on the duet parts, good recovery on a technical difficulty early on for the second guitar/keyboard player.

John played a great set, perhaps the entire Dream Theater band should tour with them next time.

this was the best concert i've ever been to.it was great because it had my favorite 3 guitarist!! lets start with john petrucci,he started the concert, since dream theater is one of my favorite bands, and john and mike was playing that night, well it was one of my favorit sets, john and mike for me are like my heroes because of the lyrics they write and their songs with dream theater! steve vai came up and i just lost all my senses whatching him play with his tong, feet, and everything he could, his spirituality just put my soul im peace!! then joe satriani came up and it was so cool because he did such a great set and one part of the concert i knoew for sure that he was looking at me because i was the only one that got up when he looked the way i was sitting. now when they all came together my mom would say it was bunch of noises but for me it was the sweet sound of thunder,4 guitarrists, keyboards, drums and percussion, and two bassists playing together at once, all my god it was the best!!!!! but the best part is that i waited in the parking lot,two hours later they were all outside just giving autographs,i got petrucci's,portnoy's and i had to follow joe's bus to hi hotel and get his autograph and picture, the only one i didnt have a chance to meet was stve vai,i guess ill have to wait to next time!

As i expected, the show was an absolute phenomenon. Unfortunately i walked in when john had arleady begun his firts piece, but my feet, eyes and ears were all glued in place. john has incredible technique and is an amazing composer. steve vai was as always enigmatic and awesome. and of course joe simply kicked ass. his playing was flawless and his feel and tone were incredible. i am definitely a joe fan as well as a student. i hope there is a g3 dvd in the works and i will defenitely call the radio stations and request some satch. the only reason i give the show a nine is because i was hoping to hear more from joe. i wished his set was longer and that he had chosen more of the tunes that we dont hear as often like borg sex and midnight, etc. still hearing summer song for the billionth time will never get old i guess. i walked out of the show with only one thing in mind: "I NEED TO PRACTICE A LOT"

what a show!!..what a guitar players!!! and of course...what a bunch of musicians and talent over there...there's no more to say...you've gotta be there to believe what terrific night and weekend I had....I will never forget this concert and the autographs and pictures I took with my friends and the musicians after the show...except with Joe, who was the only didn't came out after the show to have some interaction with his fans...in fact, Joe didn´t rocked as well as Petrucci and Vai did (including Portnoy "the master", Shehaan "the bass master",Donati "what a incredible solo, man",etc) so I didn't care...

Guys, keep doing what you best do... entertain us with your music and never stop, please... I'll se ya again...!!!

Greetings from Caracas,Venezuela...

John played four excellent pieces. I would like to see him again sometime. The next four songs played by Steve Via were less than ?-/<<>'#. My brother and I used that time to gets some drinks. The next four song where played by Joe and as usual, I was completely amazed at the precision mixed with creativity and speed. Joe is the greatest at what he does but my only complaint would be I did not get to see enough of Joe. "Dear Joe, hope to see you playing sollo next time. Sincerely, a loyal and true fan. BB

WHAT A SHOW!!!! Certainly one of the best shows I've ever seen. I´ve have been following Joe´s work since Surfing with the Alien, Steve's since his stints with Alcatraz and Frank Zappa, and more recently John Petrucci since his Liquid Tension Experiment project. I live in Costa Rica, so when I heard about this new G3 tour, featuring 3 of the best guitarrists in the world, I knew that I had to pack my bags and grab a plane. And boy, did my expectations were exceeded!!!I was totally blown away by their dazzling musicality and command of the instrument!! The sound was great also!!! Thanks Joe for organizing these event! Hope to see you soon in Costa Rica.

What a concert that was! No doubt about it, it was THE greatest musical experience of my life! Not only was the concert AMAZING, but I got to meet Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, and Steve Vai backstage...and on top of meeting them, they all signed my guitar which is an Ibanez JS100. It looks so sweet! Hopefully, they will post the pics I will send them for all to see.

Thanks to nickname: tethorsen, who was backstage with me meeting Joe and lent me their good "signing" pen. It looks 100 times better than that Sharpie I had would have looked. Thanks again guys!

Hey everyone, I've been a huge fan of Joe's for over 12 yrs and I saw him for the first time at the G3 show in Surise a couple of days ago. To be honest, I was afraid that after listening to him for that amount of time that seeing him live might be a let down---was I wrong!! He absolutely tore up the place--his sound was studio quality and the energy that he put forth was tremendous even for such a small venue--he looked totally into it!!! I brought two buddies of mine who may not have been Satriani fans when they entered, but they sure as hell were when they left!! I can't wait for the next tour!! As for Steve Vai--I last saw him play with David Lee Roth on the Skyscraper tour at the Hollywood Sportatorium( a while back ! )and it was cool to see him do his own thing--I could hear a lot of Satch in his music, although it obviously had a different feel and sound--Billy Sheehan was unreal!! As for John he sounded great as well although I showed up a little late to his part of the show--I've never heard of him or his albums before but I'd be interested in checking it out. So long!!

One word AWESOME!!! John was incredible, have loved him since i found out about DT a few years ago. Steve what a showman, the fancy hat and the tongue guitar playing great showman and DAMN! Steve's drummer his name escapes me, what an awesome drum solo, twirling the sticks and all the time keepin the Beat. Joe simply AWESOME! What can i say he has never disappointed me and the 4 or so concerts i have been to of his. The entire concert had great sound and feel except for those damn speaker cables hanging from the giant speaker pods infront of the stage. The finally what a jam session each of the players taking their turns playing solos and the music selection ZZtop & Hendrix. All in all the best concert i have been too.

PS Special thanks to Satriani.com & Joe for the backstage passes and to Jeff taking the time to talk to us while joe was busy with family. Next time maybe you will get a GOLD STAR instead of a SILVER one :)

It seems that everytime that G3 tours it keeps getting better. I've seen it with Eric Johnson it was great, Kenny Wayne Sheppard also great and now with John Petrucci, whom I never heard before, well this show was awesome. 3 unbeleivable guitarist in there own rite and then combined in the end for an awesome jam. No other bands do this today and it is really a shame that more don't. As I watch all of these guitarist and bass players play they made everything they play look easy, which if anyone else tried it would know otherwise. These 3 gutarist are the complete deal they all have the technical skills and feeling. I also know that beside the god given talent these gentleman practiced the basics early in their careers and this has paid off. I wish Joe, Steve and John continued success. We as fans need to have to get the radio stations to give them the air time they deserve. So call or email your favorite station and request songs by Satriani, Via and Petrucci. Rock on.

AWESOME!!!! Of course to me, Joe was the best! I am also a big Dream Theater fan and the performance John Petrucci put on was impressive. All of them play guitar so fast that it is hard to even see what their fingers are doing. I don't listen to Steve Vai much, but he was great aswell and his bass player was freakin' wild! I have never seen anybody play bass in such an energetic manner. And finally, Joe Satriani came on stage with his chrome boy guitar and rocked!! He played all my favorite songs, like Cool#9, Flying in a Blue Dream, and Raspberry Jam Delta-V. The end was cool aswell when they all jammed together playing Jimi Handrix hits. I can't wait till Joe goes on tour again. Your eyes just go crazy watching these guys play their guitars like nobody else on this planet.

After seeing Satriani in Sao Paulo, Brazil, one year ago, I couldn't wait to see him back in action here in Sunrise, Florida. Petrucci opened the concert giving a lesson to the crow about speed and precision, while Vai, Mr. Showman, enchanted the audience screaming at his guitar pick-ups and taking sound out of his white Jam that I can’t even imagined were possible to make. Right before Satriani took over the stage, I met Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden when I went to get a beer. That was a bonus added to the concert!!! Finally, when Satriani took over the stage, the crow was already hot. He rocked with his typical sunglasses and bringing along with harmonica!!! Great performance!!! At the end, the all got together in a super jam playing classics from Jimi Hendrix!!! This was a great G-3 concert!!! PRICELESS!!! UP THE IRONS…

The second to last show of the current G3 Tour. I was blown away by John Petrucci, and it was great to see Dave Larue with him. I've been been a Dave Larue fan for a long time from his work with Steve Morse. Steve Vai's set was loaded with fun. He's an outstanding showman and his love for teasing the audience is a kick to behold. The highlight of Steve's set was the dueling solo's with Billy Sheehan. Absolutely phenomenal! And the main course was yet to come! Satch was dead in the groove from his opener "Cool #9" through "Satch Boogie" and my all time favorite "Raspberry Jam Delta V". The combined set with all three of the G3 headliners was pure heaven and the house was definitely rockin! All in all my first G3 show was the best concert I've ever seen in all respects. This guitar player was definitely inspired. It was an immense pleasure to witness the pure virtuosity of these three pinacle guitarists in one night. Absolutely the highest evolution of the species!

Anxiously awaiting Gary Hoey or Steve Morse to get a spot on a G3 lineup!
