Though I've seen you a few times, this show was by FAR my favorite. I think this was the best concert I've seen, period. I like fairly diverse music, from live "symphonic electronica" by Yanni to Tool's tripped out transcendental rock, and your EoC show was a religious experience like no other. Where some guitarists have mastery over a few styles of playing, you went through a multitude of styles effortlessly. Where other guitarists possess astounding technical ability but no lyricism to the melodies or ear for guitar tones (cough cough, Malmsteen?) you're utterly masterful on all those fronts. You're an inspiration, and that show moved me to renew my efforts in guitar and to look at music creation on a higher plane. You still have me stumped on some of those killer tones....lessee, JS 1000 into Filterbank 2, Pod Pro, to Logic Audio...STILL not quite it...come see us again in Denver (or Colorado Springs) as often as you can!

Oh Hell YEAH!!! My first concert ever, and sure to be one my the best ever! Even my DAD liked it! The lighting was cool the music was awesome and the rush was even better.Joe Satriani is the best damn guitar player EVER!!! he's my idol and going to this concert has truely inspired me. If I NEVER go to another concert I can still die happy knowing I was in the house with da big dog! 3 straight hours, 3 encore songs, a whole lot o' head bangin' going on! Suprisingly, there are songs of Joe Satriani I didn't like very much, but after this concert I completely snapped out of it and came to my scences. Joe Satriani is THE MAN!!!

third in the door... front and center for the entire concert. I spent most of the night with 20 feet of satch with my jaw on the ground. I stood there, and being a fellow guitarist, I stood there in awe. Satch is one of the best guitarists to ever walk our planet. After the concert i hung around out back and met the man himself... I shook the hand of god!! that was a day that i will remember for the rest of my life!

Joe rocks the house in Denver!

Wednesday, April 19th our resident Alien was spotted at the Fillmore Auditorium, in Denver. The crowd went crazy when he came out. By playing such hits as: "Train on Angels", "Satch Boogie", "Summer Song" and "Flying in a Blue Dream", he, literally, left the crowd speechless. And the solo by bassist Stu Hamm was amazing, hope he is successful on his solo album. I can't think of anything else I would travel 500 miles to see. The trip was worth it. Joe you are amazing. With Jeff, Stu, and Eric it made this a night we'll be talking about for years to come. And in the words of Foreigner ".. he put his ear to the wall and like a distant scream, he heard one guitar, that blew him away.." That sums it all up right there.

This was the first time I've been able to see Joe in concert. Of course, I was in awe throughout the show. I've been listening to Joe since '89 or so and I've had plenty of time to memorize the notes to his songs. I was amazed that most everything was note-for-note like his recordings! That is an amazing feat, let alone being able to do twenty five or so songs like that. I was very impressed with the show, and so was my fiancee (who started listening about five years ago). Luckily, we got right up front for the show (right in front of Stu) and had a great view for the whole performance. We drove out to Denver from Wichita, KS and it was definately worth the 8 hour drive!!!! I can't wait for the next time you get out on the road; we'll make another long drive to see you if we have to (but you could stop by Wichita and make it easier on us!).

I think that I am very lucky to have the opportunity to see Joe play live. It was an excellent concert, full of surprises (like Down, down, down and other classics) and he is a great showman. What can I say about his playing? He couldn't miss a note if he tried! He is THE MAN! I will see him every time he gets to town. Joe also interacted well with the audience, and never gave the impression of being too good for us. He is cool #1. Stu, Jeff and Eric were also great. The new tunes are great. I bought the EOC CD, and I like more each time I play it.

The Fillmore is a very nice venue, plenty of room to enjoy the show, easy access to refreshments, and damn good sound for the show.

Not having an opening act was just awesome, a full three hours of Joe was just what I wanted to see. The lights were fantastic, the crowd was into it, and Joe put on a great show. With a mostly intstrumental set it takes a very good showman to share his personality and charisma with the crowd, and Joe did it to perfection. As we all know, he really makes his instrument speak to you, and with his fantastic playing, great band, and his attitude of openness and friendliness with the crowd made it the best concert I have ever attended.

Thanks for the great show Joe!

What a great show! Joe plays for 3 hours, no opening act! Trippendicular rockage - it blew me away! I've seen Joe 3 times now; once with G3 in Denver, once at the Fox in Boulder, CO, and once at the American Music Festival in Winter Park. I really enjoyed the show a lot. I was thrilled that Joe played "Friends" as an encore, which is one of my favorite songs which I had never heard him play live. Thanks for coming to Denver and putting on an excellent show for us Joe!

Well Joe was terrific, Awesome, a God! I couldn't believe how long he played. 3 and a half hours is very long. But that's what was great. My friend (who I had to drag to the concert) went from hating Rock N Roll to loving it. He loves Joe now. There were a lot of people asking us why a couple of teens like Joe...Well this show rocked sooooo much I didn't need to answer their questions. I also met Mr. Satriani and Mr. Hamm after the show. Thank you so much for signing everything and talking with us. You guys are great. I'm sorry for that loud mouthed lady for yelling the entire time. We were going to duck tape her mouth shut!!! Anyway, I will be the first to get tickets for the next Satriani concert. And I will be in the front row again. Thanks for all the memories JOE!!!!

Man, I'd have to say that the show at the Fillmore was quite an accomplishment. How a person can play so fast for so long is beyond me. The bass solo was incredible. I didn't know that right hands could move so fast! I always thought that the chrome guitars looked cool, but once they got under the stage lights they are amazing. I met the band after the show, and they are all wonderful people, and kind enough to give loyal fans the time of day in the back parking lot.

Joe - awsome job! Totally enjoyed the show. Stu still blows me away with those bass solos. "Good show" to all the band and support crew. Can't wait for the next one!

Awesoms show, the whole band sounded great. Didn't appear that Eric Cadieux knew what to do stage wise but it was great. Surfin w/ then alien was a great encore .. wasn't too thrilled with Rubina as second encore. Awesome show Joe!

Truly amazing. I've been a fan for a long time, but now I'm obsessed. Joe does things on the studio recordings that you think he could only do once, then goes out on stage and does them better live. Although the venue may not have been the best in town, it just doesn't matter once the show starts. The band really works well together, and it was a blast to see the man, the myth, the legend, and even the alien, in person. Joe, come back to Denver soon!

This show was totally amazing!!! 3 hours of joe? who could ask for anything more? i mean, stu was on top of his game, jeff was right on with everything, eric gave just the right exentuation that the songs needed, and our boy joe was (as usuall) absolutely fantastic. my only problem is that DAY AT THE BEACH was not played...oh well, it was well worth it to hear cool #9 (my favorite) in concert for the first time. Also: the lighting was just brilliantly done. - i wonder if joe is recording any of these shows? because to own a recording, audio or video, or these preformances would be amazing. To anybody that is unsure about going: DO IT!!! you won't regret it!

My first Live Show. The best concert I've ever seen anywhere! He played for almost 3 hours with a short intermission. Awesome. I've been a long time fan, just never been to any shows. Every song sounded sweet.

I was most impressed with Joe's show tonight at the Fillmore. A nice long set that really displayed how tight Joe and Stu Hamm's playing has become. I first saw Joe live in Washington, D.C. in 1987, and I think that his live performances are richer than ever. A great solo spotlight for Stu tonight. It's always a treat to hear him play the Charlie Brown theme and go on his "bluegrass from hell" excursions. It seems to me that as Stu has played with Joe over the years, he has come to really fill out the songs with more and more of his own nifty licks. Joe's sprint to the finish tonight was electrifying. A suprisingly powerful rendition of Train of Angels, and a truly firebreathing shot of One Big Rush (thanks, Joe - that's always been a big favorite of mine - wasn't that written for a Cameron Crowe movie with John Cusack in a kick-boxing scene?). Finally, an achingly beautiful Rubina for the grand finale. This is undoubtedly Joe at his best in years.

Great show. One you can bring your woman to to show her the true romance and passion of an electric guitar. Contrary to another posting for this show, Joe started 30 minutes late, played for an hour, took a 15 minute break, played for another hour, then 3 encores brought the last set to 1.5 hours. We stood there for 3 hours but he didn't play for 3 hours. He saved most of the Flying in a Blue Dream songs for later in the show which I appreciated and he had a good mix of jammin songs and slow ones with Stu's bass solo perfectly placed. Here's a tip. Joe favors playing on the left side (as you're facing the stage). If you have an open floor like we did, stand on that left side...and get up front! Worth every penny. A must-see show and a breath of fresh air. Musicians visit www.musicmates.com.

Joe played longer than ever before! Lots of good stuff and he even sang Big Blue Moon. It was definately worth the money, he should have charged more. Now all we need is for Joe to come back to the Winter Park music festival this summer...PLEASE! (Hey Joe, are you reading this?!?)

Just saw the Denver show - it was GREAT! Lots of energy - Joe was at his finest! The bass solo by Stu was the best I have seen - he broke into a Peanuts/Snoopy riff and really got the crowd going. Joe played for about 3 hrs with a small intermission - about 25 songs total.. Some from EOC (Devil's Slide, Borg Sex, Until We Say Goodbye, Clouds Race Across the Sky), many from Crystal Planet and lots of the old, great stuff (Surfing, Flying in a Blue Dream, Always with Me, Always with You, Ice #9, Satch Boogie, Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing, etc.). The light show was well done and really added to the music. Great work! Looking forward to seeing you again!!! Great drum work by Jeff too!!
