I loved the show! Joe Satriani is fantastic! It was about 3 hours long. He played his most famous songs and also nice versions of the newest album's songs. The guys in the band are also great musicians and Stu Hamm performed an amazing bass solo. However, I really missed ECHO, but it was a great concert.

Great concert! A lot of music was played! I had serious doubts about the sound´s quality because the place, but the sound was great and I could hear every single note of the solos. The only problem was a delay of 1hour and 40 min to begin the show... As a guitar player, Joe has been aways an influence for my work and my life, and what a wonderfull guitar! Antonio

It was an amazing concert!!
I saw his two gigs when he came to Brazil in 1996. I loved those ones however this year the concert was more consistent and the energy was superb. The public participated more. Everybody was a little bit afraid because nobody knew what to expect. You know, the last album is very different, it's a new route on Satriani's carrer.
Before the concert there was a rumour that it would be everything eletronic, no drums. Can you believe that?
No frustations. The gig was based on Crystal Planet album ( my favorite one ) and he also played all the old songs the crowd wanted to listen to.
Finally, I have a question to you. WHY doesn't he play the song WHY? ( it's my favorite song )

Joe was full of energy,a little too quiet though,but his guitar surely talked for him.He played a lot of recent songs,from "crystal planet" and "engines of creation".He touched our hearts with "always with me,always with you".We sang with the guitar on this song.Joe put us in the air with "summer song".I´m just sad he didn´t play "crying",it´s such a beautiful song,well,anyway,Joe rules.He´s the best of the bests!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Joe, did you see how we Brazilians love your songs? Did you remember when we sang Summer Song while you was playing it? Well, Beethoven said once that musician is that one who can make songs passing the feeling into it, and you can. Whenever I listen to songs like Cryin', Friends or even Summer Song it seems to me that I can feel what you wanted to pass through your songs. Anyway, thanks a lot for coming to Brazil again, you were GREAT!

You had to be there to witness the greatness... I'm trying to write a decent review of this gig, but there are no words to describe what an incredible experience it was... From the first song (Time) through classics like Summer Song (which was played perfectly. I've heard quite a few live versions of this song and NEVER did Joe play it as well as he did tonight), Always With Me, Always With You, Flying In A Blue Dream, Satch Boogie, lesser known songs (but still great ones, IMO) as Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing, One Big Rush, Ice 9, The Extremist, Crushing Day and others, to the AMAZING encore consisting of Friends and Surfing With The Alien, it was as close to a perfect gig as it can get... Stu's solo was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen a bass player play... Technical, melodical, fun (he even played a little bit of blue-grass country), truly great... The band was very good and the 2 and a half hours went by very fast... Needless to say, Joe was absolutely flawless, and there wasn't anyone in the (completely sold out) place who wasn't mesmerized by his playing... Joe, thank you VERY MUCH for this show, though it'll keep me from grabbing my guitar for a few days... :-) Congratulations, man, you're the greatest...

Very good show. I Stood up, and could see everything. It was awesome. I just think that Joe should play some more songs of his new Album. And some more of Surfing with the Alien. I think he got a lot better, he was less of a showman a little while ago. Now I think he is past Steve Vai. Joe, THROW SOME MORE PICKS! Have you ever though about throwing some guitar strings to the audience? You could make a partnership with a string company and throw them to the crowd. That would get both of you some money. If you guys take my suggestion please send me some of the money you earn. Thanks

Mister Satriani, What on Earth did you do out there today in the Credicard Hall??? I thought your show four years ago couldn't be topped. It had been simply amazing. Now, you come and do it again, four years later...and, what can I say? The best got even better. It was absolutely fantastic. As a matter of fact, I will spare no adjectives here. One can't just try and convey what is watching a Joe show to someone else. You have to be there, to see it, to believe it. To witness the true jaw-dropping technique of Joe, Jeff and Stu. Sou de Belo Horizonte e estou maluco para arrumar um jeito de ir em algum show do Satch. Se não der para ir em SP vou tentar em Porto Alegre no dia 19. Sei que vai ser imperdível.
Exitem poucas ou quase nenhuma informação sobre shows no site www.credicardharll.com.br, mas no www.funbynet.com.br (ou no 0800 784440) tem todas as informações para o show em SP(preços, horário e muito mais).
Quem tiver informações sobre o show (site, telefone, etc.) do dia 19 em Porto Alegre, poderia fornecer aqui mesmo.
Para terminar vou dizer que o "Engines of Creation" está D+. A cada disco o cara consegue uma superação incrível!
Ah! Nos shows no Brasil vai ser apresentado o novo disco, mas terão músicas antigas também.
Vou fazer de tudo para porder estar em um dos shows, não posso perder essa.

Ainda mais no Credicard Hall, com toda aquela imponência, parece ser um palco compatível com a grandesa desse guitarrista!!!

E ai galera , vai ter show do Satriani hein! finalmente ele estara voltando ao brasil depois de 4 anos sem fazer shows aqui. vou estar la' de qualquer jeito , o show dele de 96 foi um tesao , foram 3 dias no Olympia , eu fui assistir 2 shows de tao bom que foi.
