This was an absolutely amazin gig. Was simply da best thing i hav ever seen. I am very fussy about guitarists hitting all the right notes and i heard only one mistake in the whole concert in always with me always with you. Satch played really musically and his performance on stage was exciting and action packed. His tone was unbeatable, as were his guitars and his choice of songs. 10 out of 10 for everything. full marks to jonny A as well. awesome support. congratulations to everyone involved!

I travelled 300 miles, with 3 people, without disapointment! Rock on fellas!

This may have been my first Satch show, but it certainly wasn't my first gig. I've seen the likes of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple and Alice Cooper live, all among my favourite all time artists. But as a stage presence, musicians, live performers and all round cool guys, Satch and Co. when hands down! City Hall in Newcastle is small, and I was right near the stage, but from the moment you heard the acoustic at the start of 'Flying In A Blue Dream', you knew how it was going to be, the audience erupted. I said to my friends during the interval, "I hope he plays 'Flying...' because it's my fave", and he didn't let me down! Johnny A, I'd previously never heard of, now I own all his albums and with a photo with him and autograph on my wall, he won't be forgotten. After opeing with 'Flying...', Joe unleashed the onslaught of 'The Extremist', followed by the smooth 'Cool #9' from his self title '95 album. Not owning 'Super Colossal' at that point, hearing 'Redshift Riders', the title track, 'The Meaning Of Love' and others made me buy it in amn instant. Following 'Redshift...' was another favourite of mine - 'Satch Boogie', which had the inevitable effect on my friends and I, basically, we had our hair flailing around like bikers, even my girlfriend was goin' for it! After slowing things down with 'The Meaning Of Love', we stood slightly tearful, as the way it was played on the night was leeking emotion. After classics like my friend Ollie's favourite 'Ice 9', 'Circles', the mighty 'Mystical Potato Head' and others, came my 'anthem' of the season, 'Summer Song', at which point we were really shakin' up our balcony! After that came 'Surfing...' and the crowd went mad, finally the guys closed with 'Always With Me, Always With You' a track loved by my 'crew', especially my girlfriend, whom I've played it to many a time on my own guitar. Of Course there was an encore...and they delivered! They performed their little bow, and Jeff saluted us, how do I know this, because Ollie Saluted him, and he pointed back, what a legend! I cannot wait to see them live again, Joe is, without a doubt, the most expressive, emotional and damn right coolest guitar player I've heard since Hendrix! We got back to the hotel, and sat up until 5 am talking about it.

Fourth time I have seen Joe - the best concert yet. The song selection was amazing - good mix of old and new. The highlight had to be Crowd Chant and Always With Me, Always With You. I really can't wait for next time...please come back!

Joe never fails to impress, and to have stood right in front of him at his pedal board all night made it all the more special. You could feel, and it was later told, that Joe was really feeling up for it. The atmosphere here in Newcastle beats any other British city, and it was proven tonight.

A really clever set list, with the lush new songs blended in really made my night. And Dave LaRue fits like a glove! I was particularly impressed by the new addition and having his own time for a bit of glory was fantastic. Jeff was absolutely sound, and Galen was immense. More credit should be shown towards these 3, as they make it just as ace.

Shame I didn't have the money for the premium tix, but maybe next time =)

Oh aye, and Johnny A was top notch. I've been pulled in to what he's doing and I'm getting to know this bloke's music, although he's a little bit Eric Johnson-ish. Still, magnificent, and his last song, what I''m going to call a "Jimi Hendrix Blend" was class =P

Again, thanks to all involved for a fantastic show and we'll hopefully see you all around again in a few years time.

All the best for the rest of the tour!

Joicey ^_^

Wow! This show was definitely a 10´er!!! Joe was really on fire and ready to play and what a set list it was. He played all my favourites from the new album (though I missed "A cool new way") splendidly mixed in with the old stuff - particularly I loved his "Mystical Potato Head", "Circles" and "Summer Song"-renditions. The whole show through the house was just swinging and rocking and it was amazing to watch Joe jump around on stage with the energy of a teenager - pretty impressive for a man who turns 50 next month. He looks really fit and in shape. He truly is an inspiration on more levels!!

I came all the way from Denmark to join the platinum ticket club and it was all worth it. I have to say that everywhere I went in Newcastle I met only friendly people and especially all you nice people at the "Meet & Greet"-event were super to hang out with - you made it even more worthwhile for me to travel that far. And what a great crowd you were cheering Joe on from start to finish, and the way you all responded to "Crowd Chant" like it was one of his "oldies" was really awesome! It was obvious to me that Joe felt right at home as well with you guys. But then I guess, Joe only attracts good people, doesn´t he???...!!

At the "Meet and Greet" it was really someting to actually be face-to-face with Joe - what a genuine, sincere and friendly man. He really is a special kind of person and the way he makes himself available to his fans is really unique. Did you all notice how Joe communicates with his hands a lot when he talks to people?? Fascinating!!........And thanks for your greeting TyrionEagle!! I can´t believe that in a week I actually get to meet Joe again in Copenhagen - sometimes one just gets lucky I guess.....

Fantastic gig on Saturday night. I've been to every Satch and G3 gig in Newcastle since the 80's and Joe just gets better every time. Joe's playing seems so effortless and fluent. He has the enthusiasm of a teenager, bounding around the stage which shows he really is enjoying playing and not just going through the motions as some players do. As a guitar player myself when I come away from the gig I feel both totally inspired and demoralised at the same time. Can't wait for his next viist.

Have to add my two pence, this was the best gig I've been to in an age! The new and the old were blended just right with Super Collosal tracks fitting right in with ones from Surfing, Flying and the rest. Only down side was that there was no Big Bad Moon, but that's a minor gripe, with Satch Boogie, Surfing, Summer Song, Flying, Always with Me and Crowd Chant, I was having so much fun it should be illegal.

Thanks for the time in the bar afterwards Joe, it must be hard to keep up the enthusiasm after a two hour set, but you had a word or several with all of us. And after that, coming up to midnight, you had the time for people without the premium tickets who waited around after the show. Have to say, man, that's pure class.

Also a big shout out to John Iverson who herded us premium ticket holders like a pro, friendly enough to chat and aswer questions, and firm enough to keep us in line. Tough job, but you handled it nicely and made us all feel special.

Johnny A is one to watch, great tone and a great sense of timing. If you haven't heard him, pick up some of his stuff, he's a fantastic performer. Thanks for letting us watch your sound check Johnny, it was an insight into the amount of work you guys do before the crowd even shows up.

And a big thanks to Joe and Johnny's bands, techs and support staff, Joe on his own would have a lot of work to do, you guys made the night astounding.

Last but not least, hi to all the other premium ticket holders, you guys really added to the atmosphere, especially the lady from Copenhagen, sorry I can't remember your name, hope you have a good time back stage a bit closer to home!

This is me signing off and telling anybody who hasn't made their minds up if they are going to a show or not - just go, you will not regret it.

Pure class! The set list was amazing. We even saw very old classics creep in like "The Enigmatic" which was quite funny as i've never saw it performed live before.

Also thanks Joe for the autograph before the show you are amazing! My favourite song that night was Flying in A Blue Dream, everyone was cheering once Galen came in with the chords at the beginning accompanied by the feedback, it sent a chill down my spine! And hearing everyone singing along to Crowd Chant was spectacular too! I can't wait 'til you tour again, or G3 next year! This was my first ever Satriani concert and its the best concert ive ever been to before, the atomosphere was amazing and Johnny A was cool too!

WOW!!! Joe you did it again. What a great performance. This must be my tenth time seeing Satch play live and his tone just seems to get better and better.

City Hall has always been the best venue for a great sound in my opinion.

Cheers Joe for making my night down in the bar after the show by chatting with us and signing my guitar. We each got that one on one chat with you in a quiet corner of the bar, which is mega special. The thing I admired is the fact after a gruelling 2 hour set, instead of just wanting to go to your hotel and to bed, you come down and hang out with your fans til way past midnight. We love ya Joe.

Keep making that beautiful music!!!

Happy 50th Birthday in July, Joe and see you next year. I seem to remember you telling me about a G3 and something coming out later this year!! (SSShhhh)

Marks out of ten Joe had to score eleven last night!!! Super Colassal has to be one of his best albums for years and he must think so too as I think I counted 7 tunes off the new album played last night. Crowd Chant was a lot of fun played live. Please don't ever retire Joe as the world will become a musically flat place if you do.Johnny A thank god at last a decent support I thought the decent support act had become an extinct species.

What a awesome show!!!! I'm 17 and you are my guitar hero and this was my first time seeing you. Watching you is like watching God at work. Your such a brialliant performer and I know you get this all the time but you are one hell of a guitar player. One day I hope to be as good as you and would love to see you play again. Metting you would be fantastic but I'd probably faint or something. You a true legend and thanks for an awesome show.

Keep making the records and ill keep buying them and keep on being inpsired by you.

Thanks Joe....See you again sometime.
