Awesome, just fantastic. I have seen Joe too many times to count, and this one was definately right up there, if not the most enjoyable yet! Thanks Joe!

Wow!! This is the best show I ever saw! Joe was in rare form, hahah! A little guitar playing with his mouth, for effect! I could have sworn I seen Jeff heaving a rubby chicken at Jose! LOL... and let me not forget Eric Johnson, what a player. Great unique style! His band is right on! I live in New Jersey, so I had the honor of seeing him in Philadelphia on 4/19 as well as this show when I was in San Diego on vacation! The highlight of my vacation!! Joe playing guitar with his mouth, and Jeff slingin' rubber chickens!! :)

Thanks for the awesome show, Joe!!!

What can you say in regards to a show of such musical intensity? SUPER COLOSSAL!!.....Eric and the band set the stage and from there it was on. The crowd was into the moment and really digin the vibes. Erics playing was superb, with the energy level getting up there, now Joe and the band come out to take it to the next level and that they did!! Joe was incredible. He makes guitar playing looks so easy. The band was HOT!!! and really responding to the crowd. Being a huge dregs fan myself it was awesome to see Dave on bass and he was ionized!!! After a few songs the grove was set for the band and the crowd, I dont think it gets better than this. Jeff.C on the kit kept it all together and was flawless. Some bands just come out and play. Joe and the guys came out and moved you. You could see it in thier faces and really hear it comming out of the amps. To Joe and the band, Eric and his band, Thanks for a great nite!

Just wanted to pop in and spread a little info about the show at Humphrey's. Since I am that "stupid" soundman that the review referred to I thought I would shine a little light on the facts at hand. Humphrey's is in an area that requires a sound restriction due to the proximity of many hotel guests and businesses. So quite frankly there cannot be the volume that many are used to at shows. Conversely, on that night there were issues with "authorities" coming by to make sure the proper levels were adhered to. So yes for the first few songs as these "authorities" were in attendance the volume was low as per their request. Which means also that certain sides of the stage were going to be dependent on the volume coming from the stage. In other words if you were on Joe's side no problem hearing him. If you were not then you heard the other guys more distinctly. After the fourth song this "stupid" soundman found a way to get around the restriction without breaking the law. Which meant every seat would have heard nothing because severe penalties were involved for the venue and for the show. So to save the show and also make sure the venue could continue to operate in the future, I sacrificed a few songs to make everyone happy. So before anyone gets labeled stupid perhaps some more research is in order. It is a pleasure to bring the music these musician's make to the fans. They are without a doubt a rare find in the music industry and I will endeavor to bring that music to you the best way possible every night. No exceptions. It's a pleasure to read the reviews and an absolute dream to work with this band and crew. Hope to see you all out there!!!

Your humble "stupid" soundman! HA!!!

This gig was actually the best as far as Joe's playing goes...he's gotten BETTER!!!!!! It was a pure joy to watch and listen to him perform. I went with 7 friends and we were ALL stunned and amazed! The band was super hot, too! The only bad part of the evening wasn't due to Joe, but to the venue. Humprhrey's has the worst soundman, and there always seems to be someone sitting right behind you that has to talk all through the show....yuck. When G3 were there the sound was kind of OK for Yngwie, but Steve was inaudible for the first 3 songs, until the entire audience stood up, turned around and screamed at the soundman. Last night, Eric Johnson was practically inaudible for the 1st half of his show and was NEVER loud enough. After about 4 songs of Joe's set the soundman finally got him up so that you could hear him properly instead of being buried under Dave Larue's bass. Now Dave is a great bass player, but Joe and Eric are the stars and you'd think the stupid soundman could err on the side of more star instead of less. It is so annoying that I don't think I'll go to anymore shows there unless it is Joe. His show made it all worthwhile. We Love You Joe (or as my buddy from Texas puts it: Joe Is God)..... Mike.

The crowd was right, the warmup was exquisite, the setting was perfect, and Joe was out of this world. Out of five Stach gigs I've attended, this one was the best. Finally getting to meet Joe (after 15 years of waiting) certainly didn't hurt my opinion either, but Eric and his crew were great, and Joe, Jeff and the rest of the guys were all the way on their A game last night. Keep rockin Joe, and thanks for being such a great guy.

Last Nights show kicked so much ass!..Eric Johnson's opening blew me away with his covers of Hendrix, SRV, an The Monkeys..Even his little country song was awesome. Then Joe came along with Flying In A Blue Dream, it was awsome! Super Colossal was a great song!! Red Shift Riders was tight, then he played Satch Boogie, that just blew me away. Always With Me, Always With You was sweet. The Encore of Crowd Chant an Summer Song were just great. An Awesome performance!

Joe flat out smoked last night! from the opening (blue dream) to the crowd chant encore it was one of the best shows I have seen in a while. The new material from Super Colossal live is just outstanding. Eric Johnson while being a good guitarist isn't my cup of tea.
