A genius at the height of his powers. Strange, beautiful, magnificent, astounding. I also appreciated the playing of "1983, a merman I should turn to be" during the interval. Respect.

Seeing as I went to last nights performance. I expected this one to be the same(Wow). But to my amazement it was even better. It was a much smaller venue-very small in fact. Joe looked as though he enjoyed this one!!!!!!!! Ps. Sorry my review is very late! PSs.I couldn't believe it when Brian May walked in.By the end he was shaking his head in amazement at some of the things Joe did.

Brilliant gig,BUT,This has to be about the worst venue in London for a Joe Satriani concert.Standing down the bottom allyou could see were the bands heads. Please play a different venue next time Joe so that people can actually see the musicians playing there instruments. Stuart Ham,what can I say,UNBELIEVEABLE.Can't wait for the solo aalbum.

As always, Joe, you totally kicked ass! I loved the show, especially that really sweet segue from (I think) Borg Sex to Summer Song. It was cool to see Eric playing guitar as well, Stoo's solo cracked me up as it always does, and even though I can't think of anything in particular to say to Jeff, full-on props to the guy. You guys are all that and a bowl of cherries. Now, when's the next time you're coming over here? =P

What a brilliant concert. It was a hugely enjoyable experience to watch the 'Yehudi Menuhin of Rock Guitar' play so amazingly well. There's an excellent revue of the Shepherds Bush concert on the Tickertape page of www.ihate feminism.com . Take a look at it.

Second time I have seen Joe, truly amazing. Thanks for playing Summer Song (personal favorite). Was disappointed Tuesday having called Sheppards Bush Empire week before show, to be told no photos/cameras were allowed and people were using them at gig. Anyway, following day was better, excellent photos at stage door. Cheers Joe, Stu, Jeff and Eric - ***any chance of EOC pick, forgot to ask!*** (sorry it's late just arrived back from London).

This was my first visit to a Satch gig and it was great. Joe really blew me away, and I was lucky enough to catch a plectrum thrown right at me just after Circles. The highlight for me had to be the stunning feedback ending to 'Borg Sex' leading straight into 'Flying In A Blue Dream'. Joe played all my favorite songs, and the four tracks from 'Engines' were superb. My only gripe was the lack of a tour program! I only hope some of my photos come out to keep as souvenirs. Thanks Joe, and the rest of the band, for a musical experience I wont forget. Come to the UK again soon!!

Really good show!! venue sound was spot on-CD quality, Joe's ending to some songs very flamboyant & drawn out in rock god mode but thats why i went see him!!! excellent set list wish he was in town more often as the live feel at gig the was the icing on the cake.

Hope more web broadcasts planned to keep feeding the habit in the meantime.

sorry i'm late with my review at to catch up on some sleep, what can i say Joe was fantastic yet again, i was unable to get to the stage but Joe had stepped on my fingers at the apollo & nia so it gave him a break from my shouting at him, being on the 1st level gave me chance to see the over all view credit must go to the lighting guys i was great, just to the left of me was brian may and his kids they seemed to be enjoying them selves. and in front was billy connely, and a great guy who you must see, phil hilborne. anyway back to Joe come back soon and take me away from this world and take me into yours. you are the most creative guy ever to pick up a guitar, you only have to look at the people at your gig's to see the amazment on there faces. when you play its like nothing on this earth you truly are the master. thanks once again Joe, and to Jeff, Stu,and Eric. still no bonus cd, thank webmaster for being our life line to Joe cheer,s all you fans keep surfing with the master.

I you have never seen Joe before (This was the first time for me) then you will be taking back by the excellence of his playing. Some notes your thinking how the hell did he do that...... Really good gig. Greate venue as well (you can smoke !!!!). I am still on a high. Anyone got any tips on how to come down from a Satriani concert !!!???!!!

Finally, Joe is back in town! My brother & I who had travelled from wales to come see Joe found the Empire and started to get excited about the show. We joined the que at about 16:30 to ensure a good seat.

When we get inside the stage is set with three leaning lighting structures with blue & purple lighting misted by the smoke machine. The venue fill quickly and the noise and expectation begin to rise as we see guitars being tuned and placed on stage. Then a huge roar is given as the lights drop and the band appears!

The set is opened with Time and the place is set alight! You can see that joe is loving being on tour and how muchhe gets off on the crows cheers, and there are to be plenty of that all night. Amoungst other songs are Blue dream, Loe thing, Devils slide and The Extremist, all of which were had an album like excecution to them. Joe then anounces that there is to be a 15min break which although at fist seemed strange, actually fitted really nicely, and certainly would like to see that again in future shows. An added treat was that Brian May turned up to the show, thoughts of expo '92 sprang to mind when he joined satch to perform Big Bad Moon.

Joe returns to begin the second half with Down, Down, Down which set a great foundation for a huge second half. Big Bad Moon make and appearance which brings the house down, and I catch a glimpse of Brian May really getting into not only that song but also the set! A thought did cross my mind that perhaps he would guset on that song, but it was an added bonis hime being their anyway so shouldn't complain! My favourite live song, Mysticalpotato head groove thing is rocked out. By this time joe is really getting off onthe crowd & vice versa. This man really is exceptional! I mean in songs like circles, ever tried to play all the parts as cleanly and as comprehensively as he does live! You begin to realise how awesome this man is. Always With Me, Always With You, Summer song are amongst some played in the second half as the show winds to an end. Friends is the first followed by Surfing with the Alien which are met with huge applause.

As the band departs there is a standing ovation as all the musicians are givent eh recognition they rightly deserve.

We meet joe & the band after the show and I chatted to Jeff, Eric and Stu for quite a while about the album after the show. Joe naturally was swamped so I was just glad to say to him how great this new album is and whether he enjoyed to show. He said that the fans were just so great over here, thats why he enjoys playing in london so much. London loves to Joe!

I hope the rest of the tour goes o.k for you guys! Thanks again for your time to sign basically everything for everyone. Thanks to Eric for an interesting chat about th album, jeff about how to get the bonus album and stu for almost charging me £5 for his autograph. Hope to see more of you guys on the chat site. I know your busy but we all appreciate your comments. You were all looking really well! Take care and have a great rest of tour!

Paul

I'll say it now and I'll say it again and again, Joe with no doubt is the best guitarist in the world, he was incredible. It certainly put a smile on Brian May's face, up in the stand. I can't wait for the next tour. An Excellent preformance from the whole band.

That's the way I always wanted to see the Man, Small(er) venue, great acoustics, Long set (over 2 1/2 hrs by my reckoning) One criticism : You Satch fans - stop standing there gawping at the pyrotechnics like your trying to pick up a few tricks and move your bloody arses! No dopubt that everyone in the crowd was loving it, and the applause showed, but without sound you would never have guessed it was a rock concert judging by the stationary audience!! Stu Ham was the Biz, as usual. Joe : Great Gig, been waiting for you to do it like that since day one! Seen you at big venues, even been right up front for them, but it was never so good. Nice One, made my summer. Cheers all The Earl

THANK YOU JOE , for inspiring me to really play my guitar, and i want you to know i'll be saisfied with my playing , if i could play a tenth as good the way you can. Also you HAVE to put up a live album or video for this tour because i still can't believe what i saw last night.

I don't understand. How can Joe flutter his fingers, apparently at random and at great speed over the fretboard, and make such jaw-droppingly awesome music? The sound of his guitar (tonal range, clarity, sustain) was the BEST I have ever heard live. The relatively limited lighting rig was used to spectacular effect (thumbs up to the crew)..what a concert! Brian May turned up half an hour after the gig started, and stayed right through until the show finished. The only trouble is, after such a concert, the next band I see is bound to be a let down. For those of you yet to see Joe, get to the venue early for a prime position!

Just brilliant. An awesome performance from Joe and the boys. The reworkings of the 'Engines' tracks made them stand above even the studio versions and it was good to hear all the old classics were still in the set. The highlight for me was a just beautiful version of Until We Say Goodbye, which even managed to eclipse my usual favourite moments such as the finger-tapping middle of Always With You, Always With Me and where Joe uses his harmonica for the slide solo in Big Bad Moon. Jeff knocked us dead on the drums, Eric was solid on rhythm and Stu ... what can I say. I've seen you play your bass solos at every London gig you've ever done with Joe and it still makes my jaw drop. I think the reception you all got from the crowd shows it was a monster gig. Surely, Joe, you've got to release a new live album or video?

This was by far the best concert I've ever been to. It usually is the case that one gets tired/bored after 2 hours of continuous music at those levels, at least that's what happens with me in most cases, even with bands/artists I really like. But this time, I didn't. I craved for more music even after the end of the encore. It was a hell of a concert and I just wished it lasted more than that. Good job Joe. Keep it up, and please add more cities in your tour next time in Europe. :)

I was lucky enought to of seen satch last time he played the UK, and even thought i had been told that the live gig would be just as good quality as the albums it was still a shock to hear and see the genuis at work. I was less that 10ft away from the man who had "the" MIGHTY TURTLE HEAD!. I just know that this time he will be ever better, and after seeing some of the webcast I JUST CAN'T WAIT untill the 27th. I hope that every one else that is going will have a soar neck the next day, and enjoy the gig atleast half as much as i will. Infact i KNOW you will. I'll meet you at the bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought that I'd add this: Less that 48 hours untill PARTY time F*cking Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!. See ya ther guys and galls. Cheers Sean.
