Ahh, what a fun time! The band and Joe played wonderfully. My wife and I enjoyed the evening together watching such a talented group.

I come home from work and play a 1/2 dozen of Joe's songs almost nightly because they are so much fun to play. I've steadily built up my gear over time to try and sound a little more like Joe, but with my own sound coming through as well. When you’re watching him play, I can't help but fantasize in the back of my mind how fun it would be to stand in his shoes for an evening with his skills. That's how much fun I think it really is to see Joe live.

I do have a constructive comment though about the new gear. I'm getting used to the new sound from the peavey JSX, and I guess the new guitar, but it's taking a bit of time for me. The only way I can explain it is that everything sounds a little squelchier in the mids and highs, and notes seem to be harder to make out during fast phrases. It's like it starts to sound muddy, but in the mid to high areas. I don't know if that's from the new gear or the sound system at LBC, but the last time Joe was at the LBC, it could NOT have sounded any better to me. I know you were using the Marshall’s then, and I'm not even that big a fan of Marshall (I love Mesa Boogie gear) to plug them or anything, it's just I'm certain of the clarity being harder to make out. On certain songs I think the new gear sounds fantastic, but on others it seems to lessen the songs quality to me. I'm wondering if anyone else may notice this. Anyway, the show rocked either way and as usual, when you come back to the LBC, my wife and I will be there. Please hold to your word and don't make it more than a year. I get withdrawals you know!

This was the first time I have ever seen Joe Satriani and his band live in concert. I have been a fan ever since I first heard him though... I've seen a ton of great guitarists over the years, but at this show Joe took them all to task. I have no doubt in my mind that Joe Satriani is the most skilled and dexterous guitar player I have ever seen play! After the show, I tried a couple of the things on my guitar that I had seen him do, and after two hours of frustrated playing I finally cried myself into a fitful sleep... :( But, even though my style is totally different, I still can live those scales vicariously through Joe and his amazing hands. The band had a good stage presence without the obvious ego trips that can often permeate among such technical players, and I got the feeling that there was a real camaraderie going on between the lads. It was a great show, and I will look forward to the next Joe Satriani show in my area. I highly recommend seeing Joe Satriani!!!

Holy smokes! Joe is now feeling better and showing tons of energy on stage! Not to mention playing some of the best tunes from his past. Hordes of Locusts anyone??? Awesome....Lords of Karma also was great!

Does anyone have a setlist for this show?? I was too busy picking my jaw off the floor to write down the songs. Is there a setlist section to thsi website? Couldn't find it on first couple of looks.

LBC is a great place to see a show too. Fairly intimate setting with really good sight lines.

WOW ! what can i say, i've seen joe 21 times and he just soared above the rest. he totally played without abandon last night, every song going into extended jams, My son and i were lucky enough to have second row isle seats right in front of joe and were also lucky enough to get a meet and greet after the show, thank you John and thank you Joe, you the coolist, and now my son is a fan for life,he says it was the most magical night of his life. if your going to the show, your in for a treat, great set list, and if you haven't made up your mind, do it. i don't know what joe's been taking since he got sick, but he has more energy than i have ever seen and is having more fun than i've ever seen. thanks for a great time, the drive from eureka was worth it, TO ALL SPACE greg
