This being my first concert ever, I have to say i was blown away. I got hooked 3 months before the concert and knew only a matter of 20 songs. The concert amazed me and when my cousin and I won the chance to meet him, I can't even find words to describe the rush i got. Thanx Joe for one of the best evenings of my life.

First time seeing Joe live. Was very cool to be there. I had a long awaited wish fullfilled when they did Hordes of Locusts! Great man! You definitely are an impressive guitar player. Anyway, we left early cause I think my ears are getting more sensitive as I get closer to old age. I'm now 34! Seriously, we we're in direct line with the PA speakers on the performers left side of the stage. Way too loud for me. Next time I'll get some ear plugs.

Peace, Brian Lyons

This was my 1st ever concert and I was blown away. Joe is my all-time favorite guitarist and watching him perform live, hearing some of my favorite songs and some that I have also never heard before was just to cool. Then winning after show meet and greet passes topped off the experience nicely. I'm hardly ever speechless, but when Joe and I shook hands, I couldn't help but stumble for words. Being able to talk to Jeff Campetelli and Matt Bissonette was equally as cool. I just can't wait for him to play in the area again. KEEP IT UP JOE!!!!

Great Show but........ I would have to admit that the sound could have been more clear. Then again I'm comparing to an absolutly FANTASTIC show when JS played The Hammerstein back during The Extremist Tour. MFPHGT was missed, probably my second fav. JS song. The format of the show is much improved, w/ the intermission and all making it a more "valuable experience" and more digestible in a sonic sense.

What a fantastic show. Kudos to Joe for such a different set-list. I've seen Satch 9 times now and to hear songs that he rarely or never plays was a real treat. The tunes from "Joe Satriani" sounded so good, dare I say better than on the CD! Nice to hear "Strange", "Hordes Of Locusts", and "Sleepwalk". My wife and I were in the Lower Balcony, row B, and had such a great view of the band. Jeff Campitelli is one amazing drummer and a big thumbs up goes to him. Joe Satriani continues to kick butt and we can't wait to see him again.

My 4th time seeing Joe live plus I have numerous live recordings & videos. I have never heard or seen him better. He was jacked up that night. He played for approximately 3 hours and his song selection was great. He threw in some of his more jazzy songs along with new songs and old classics. Show was amazing.

To the guy operating the sound board: TOO MUCH BASS. You were KILLING us with bass at times and you were drowning out Joe. You had Matt (Bissonette) too loud.

Once again Joe was simply amazing, a great show with the band as tight as Ive ever seen them. The entire show was fantastic but Joe was absolutely on fire for the encore, Always with you, Satchboogie and Surfing with the Alien really rocked! Thanks Joe for another outstanding evening. Come back soon Joe. P.S. for Mike who asked what song opened the show, if my memory is correct it was Ceremony from the Crystal Planet CD. My bad Mike I checked with my son who was at the show with me and Joe opened with Up in the Sky, right cd wrong song, my bad sorry.

THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH ! Words can not describe it ! 10 ++++ Hey Joe the Beacon show was amazing ! I had the great pleasure of meeting you in Aug. up in New Hampshire ( remember the stack of magazines) you were so cool to me and my nephew. I know where it comes from. Me my nephew and my wife (who was sick for the New Hampshire show) had the honor of meeting your mom at Beacon last night. She is so cool we talked a while and had the best time. Seeing her enjoy you playing a killer show like the Beacon last night was truly a great time for us all. She is so proud you ! Thanks Joe! You are the Man! God Bless!

This was my second time seeing Joe perform. The first time I saw him was with Deep Purple at Jones Beach. That was an awesome performance, but this one was just completely mezmerizing. I loved all those rare songs he played and added an extra punch with thos cool improvs and jams. What especially caught my ears was when he went into the James Bond theme song at the end of War. And he also did some Hendrix kinda stuff here and there. The best part of the whole show for me was the intro to Flying in A Blue Dream. It was just completely magical. Joe was just kneeling down on his knee with the light just shining on him. He was playing such beautiful melodies and cool solo lines, when all of a sudden after a while he ends that with a harmonic that goes on for like a good minute straight into Flying in A Blue Dream. Completely reminded me of a true warrior praying for victory over evil. I believe that if everybody listened to such true music we could overcome all sorts of evils. It was just great watching all those people come together all having something im common. I loved the lighting of the show, especially when Joe used the Chrome Boy, because the light reflected off of it right into the audiance. I felt part of him when the light blinded me. I felt like I was purified or something. And to the guy who wanted to know about the show openner it WAS from Crystal Planet, "Up in the Sky". It's the first track from the CD, one of my favorites. The only thing that upset me that night was that I did not get to meet Joe. I was going to wait after the show for him to come out but I had to go unfortunatly. But the biggest thing that upset me was that BEFORE the show me and my friends walked around the back and asked the security dudes about Joe, and one guy sitting down told us that he walked in like 30 seconds ago. NEXT TIME JOE, I look forward to meeting you and talking to you about music and guitar and other fun stuff. Thanx Joe from the bottom of my heart for playing such perfect music for every single situation there can possibly be, along side with STEVE MORSE the guitar God himself. See you guys around, and go see the shows, Satch is truly an incredibly talented musician.

What else can I say that hasn't already been said about this show. Joe, you are a true guitar prodigy and one heck of a nice guy. You really made me smile when you slid into a few bars of "Machine Gun". Great setlist choices as well. I had heard that Joe's mom was in attendance. She must be very proud of the impact her son's music has on all of his adoring fans. Joe - it would be great if you and Steve could do a local show (perhaps at Patchogue Theater). Maybe even get John Petrucci involved. You could call it "The 3 Ginzaloo's from Long Island" - sort of a local G3 show for the hometown fans. Joe, you are the best. Thanks for the music.

Incredible ....simply incredible! Flying in a Blue Dream was simply PERFECT. And the jammin on Always with me .... was phenomenal! I have only one complaint - THIS NIGHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECORDED! I felt that way about the last time he played the Beacon with G3. Keep up the good work Joe and come on up to the Albany area next time!

Joe and the band just absolutely tore up the Beacon on 10/16. Each member was as tight as a drum and the unit was led by a true virtuoso. There were several points in the evening when Joe would play something and I would catch myself with my jaw wide open and some dumb look on my face. As a music fan, the show was a lot of fun with a wide array of songs from across his career. As an aspiring hacker/guitarist, the show just blew me away. Wow. Exactly what planet are you from Joe?

Satch was absolutely fantastic, as usual. My wife and I had orchestra seats with a center view. Joe was wearing red iridium Oakely's and when he played left side stage looking down at his red guitar the light hit just right giving the appearance of fire in his eyes. It was awesome. We especially enjoyed some his older stuff from Flying in a Blue Dream and Joe Satriani. His encore preformance was superb. Always with You has been a personal favorite of ours and hearing it live made our night. If you love guitars and you ever get the chance to see him play, grab it. He is truely master of the guitar.

Amazing show in a great venue. No need to repeat what other reviewers have already said. Satch is the greatest. A side note to the EXTREMELY annoying couple sitting in row G of the orchestra. Do you guys have any idea how distracting it is when you flash photo after photo after photo? And not just photos of Joe... What exactly are you planning to do with the 50+ photos you took of your husband/boyfriend playing air guitar? A little common courtesy people!

I've been a Joe Satriani fan since 1987 !!! I've seen him live in concert (a ridiculous number of) times. And I've gotta say, yesterday's concert at the Beacon Theatre in NYC instantly become one of my favorites. Why??? Simple ... the SETLIST!!! It was fantastic...new and fresh. Satriani played a number of tunes which have never been featured on the road in the past. I committed the entire SETLIST to memory. It has each and every song that was played, but not in order.

25 Song / 1 Encore containing 3 songs (Look for my '!!!!!!!!' marks for the surprises) 1) Hoardes of Locusts ( !!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 2) Surfing with the Alien (show closer) 3) Always with You... (encore song) 4) Satch Booge (encore song) 5) Lords of Karma ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 6) Flying in a Blue Dream 7) Strange ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 8) War 9) Motorcycle Driver ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 10) Cool #9 11) Moroccan Sunset ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 12) Up in the Sky ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 13) House Full of Bullets 14) Psycho Monkey ( !!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 15) Time 16) Sleep Walk ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 17) Starry Night 18) The Traveler ( !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 19) GNAAHH 20) Hands In Air 21) Is There Love in Space? 22) If I Could Fly 23) I Like the Rain 24) Searching 25) Bamboo

The show was great! Instead of adding to the greatness of Joe Satriani I'd like to add what I hope will encourage all of you to do. BRING EAR PLUGS! I was stupid and left mine in the car so I tore off a piece of my shirt and made them myself! Hehe. Even if you don't plan to wear them I would highly recommend atleast being prepared. If you forget them use tissue paper or anything soft. I personally thought the sound level at times was WAAAY to high and so I was even more shocked when they knocked it up about another 10db for the encore. Loudness is always a great thing as in adds to the adrenline rush but my personal opinion is that "too much" sacrifices musical dynamics. And be prepared for some of the artificial harmonic notes Joe hits. WOW! I saw a few people reach for their ears as I could tell they couldn't take it. Please take this advice and be prepared. God bless.

Amazing Show...Joe was on top of his game...i heard his Mom was there so im sure he tried to do a good job.....really pulled out some earlier tunes and made every song a surprise.. Saw the state of the art mixing board they used (all digital) and the sound was crisp and clear from where i was ....afterwards i met Joe at the meet and greet and hes as cool as i expected and he signed my JS-100. I had the best seat in the house and my pics will be posted here soon or check out axeshredder.com

Joe & the boys kept the crowd standing for 3 hours. Joe wore a black tee with blue jeans, and very cool red wrap around sunglasses to match his Candy Apple Red JS1000. He also played a White JS model & Chromeboy came out to play too...no flame though.

Always an honor to experience "The World's Greatest Rock Guitarist". If only Joe could throw pics to the 12th row.

Extended jams with some Hendrix flavour....trippy lights at certain periods of the show. Damn "The Beacon" for it's poor acoustics...sooo boomy....maybe if I had been closer...like I was for G3 last year...2nd row center...the bass would'nt have had a chance to climb the hard cathedral ceilings, and swirl uncontrolably. The open air venue of Jones Beach sounded so much crisper.

Thanks Joe & the band, for another great performance.

Superb show. Joe and the boys came out kicking ass, and continued for about 3 hours, with a 15 minute break in between. Sat (stood) about 8 feet away from his side of the stage and Joe's incredible tactile ability just amazed us all, especially my son (first show). Will try to make it to the Hard Rock in Vegas in December to see him on this tour again. Adam
