Thank You Joe, Thank You Stu, Thank You Jeff, and Thank You Eric! I'm a life long Seattlite who's moving to Maine in June. You were my last concert in Seattle, and I couldn't of hoped for more. The sound was nearly perfect, the set and set list were wonderful. The lights were nearly perfect. Stu, you slayed me man! That solo was like nothing I'd heard before. Tony Leven has nothing on you! Joe, you're a treasured asset to the world. Take care of yourself. I want to hear what you're doing in your 60's and 70's. I saw Jimi all three times he came to Seattle and now your show is on my list of top five all time favorite guitar concerts (number 5 being Jeff Beck and Jennifer Batton last August at the Puyallup Fair) Jeff, you're pretty much perfect. You rocked the floor of the balcony! But no drum solo? ooooo you sounded so good! I have learned so much from you Joe! I have all of your CD's (no bootlegs here!) (and all of Steve's as well) I've also got all of your tab books and study them daily. I hope the Webcast will be available as a download or permanent part of www.satriani.com. I want to re-live it again and again. One thing I wanted you to know about the Seattle show that you may not have noticed was the age range of the audience. I'm almost 48 and I went there thinking I'd be like this out of place grandpa, but no! I was surrounded by people (mostly guys) my own age! There were also kids as young as about 10, and everything in between!

WOW!!! I probably don't need to tell you that Joe is a great guitarist. If you're looking at this you probably already know that. He was extremely fluid in his fingering and the show had great sound quality. I've been to a number of shows at this same venue and I'd say that Joe was the best. you've gotta hear this guy live!

Fantastic, as always. My ears are still ringing. I was lucky enough to win backstage passes from this very site, and it was a pleasure to meet Joe & Stu, though I forgot to ask Joe some of the questions that I wanted to (e.g. Why do you never play "Why?" in concert?). Time is a great opener, and he killed Raspberry, CRATS, Cool #9, and Rubina, among others. Sound was great, though being as I was 10 feet from the speakers, it sounded better as I moved back. Can't wait to see him come to town again. Hopefully we'll get an acoustic set next time!

(WEBCAST) Sorry, Joe. It's not your fault. Whoever made the deal with QuickTime screwed the pooch on this one. The last webcast (Windows Media) was 100 times better. (I'll bump up the rank if I win the contest) Nope, didn't win - hope that guy plays guitar. I did finally get decent audio on the webcast by changing the Streaming Transport setting to UDP port 21. Others got good audio by using the QuickTime plugin and viewing it in the browser window. Next time make it RealPlayer or Windows Media. :( ======= Okay, now that I've seen the archive - I've upped my rank from 5 to 10. Pretty good stuff, Joe. : )

I know the show live was probably excellent as ever....but the webcast via Quicktime was an absolute disaster. Garbled sound for a total of about 10 minutes and no sound the rest. As far as video - forget it. I was really disappointed.

This is the 3rd time that I have seen Joe and each time just gets better. I preferred the Moore Theatre over the Paramount here in Seattle. I was in the 3rd row in the balcony, center. I was looking right down on you. The place was smaller and more intimate. Thought you wouldn't play 'enough' of your tried and trues then, heard my favorite 'Mystical PHGT'! I'm NOT WORTHY! My ears are still bleeding ... it hurts so good! Does this mean that I am too old? (42). Nothing beats your guitar expertise - you are so unique! However, right up there with Alvin Lee, Jimi, and Gary Moore (other favorites). LOVED the show especially all the encores. Come back any time.

hey Joe. Saw you in Tampa. was really KILLER. Wanted to see you on the web last nite. ( WANTED!), but it didnt happen. That webcast was a disaster. blured images changed every so often, AND SOUND, 95% of the time there was NONE. And when there was, it sounded like a gerble race. My puter is not junk, But i think Quick Time is. i never have that problem with windows media player, or real player. God i was so disapointed. I sure hope you're puttin out a VHS of this tour. Scrap Quick Time. still love ya, Tootles.

Wow. That was a really incredible show. Joe and the band put on 3 hours of flawless music. Well...almost flawless. At times the sound was a bit muddied and it was hard to hear what Joe was playing. Not sure if this is the fault of the theater's architecture (sounds a-bouncin' off walls and celings, or that of the people at the soundboard. Well, no worries. It didn't decrease my enjoyment of the concert at all...I had what I consider perfect seats (balcony, second row) and so was able to see every last note that was played. Highlights? Well, Joe walking out on stage while Stu and Jeff started into "Time", Chromeboy catching the light and reflecting it back into the darkenss of the theater like a ray of sunlight, "Borg Sex" positively rocked with Joe and Eric trading a few licks, the combo of "Cool #9" and "Ice 9" back-to-back, Circles (just because it's so awesome), the bit at the end of "Satch Boogie" (I think) where Joe had his hand parallel to the fretboard and was tapping frets in several strings at once...I've heard many of Joe's tachniques described, seen him play on the G3 video, but even I didn't know that was humanly possible! I'm sure everybody's jaw was on the floor there! Um...second half highlights?...all the CP songs (although we would've liked to hear "Up in the Sky" too...oh well, cant play everything!)...Stu's solo (awesome...he got a well deserved standing ovation for his work there!), TMPHGT which was a joy to finally see Joe pull that off in person, AWMAWY, and "Rubina" was an absoulutely sweet closing song. So I think it's pretty safe to say that there wasn't anything I DIDN'T like! So thank you Joe, Stu, Jeff, Eric, and everyone else responsible for putting on 3(!) hours of music that I'll never forget!

Oh, and I forgot to mention the lighting. Perfect. Very VERY well done.

The Seattle show was definately cool, I was impressed with the variety of music performed and the energy, as always, was amazing. The lighting and effects was neat and there is nothing like seeing this kind of rock and roll performed live. For those who haven't seen these guys rock, you should go next time...they are the best I've ever seen. The mix of power and speed with slow, smooth and sweet guitar work made the show nonstop fun. Thanks again for being so gracious and fun to chat with after the show, myself and teenage kids had a wonderful time. Joe, Jeff, Stu and Eric have a great band going, keep rockin!

Sorry to hear about ALL the problems many had with the webcast (I also missed the 1st 45 minutes due to problems). Luckily another UNlister gave me the direct address to the stream, because after I logged off to reboot (no sound & poor video for the 1st 10 minutes), I could not access satriani.com again. When I tried the direct address I got thru immediately & had ZERO problems for the remainder of the show. Great sound & good video (MUCH better than the MediaPlayer webcast ~~ I had poor/jumpy sound & worthless video for that one). Excellent show Joe, Stuuuu, Jeff, & Eric!!! DVD?!? Thanx for inviting all us cyberFANatics! Best wishes on the rest of the tour! PLEASE do a 2nd U.S. leg & don't forget CentralNY (Syracuse?)! "E" ya'll L8r... John aka =o|-[ (Cyber Alien)

Thank God I saw you at Humphrey's in San Diego. (Best Concert Ever). The webcast didn't do it. In fact, I would "love" to sue Quicktime for "mental anguish". I'm hooked up to cable and thought that my system was to blame but after reading a few other reviews by other fans, I realized that it was Quicktime. I spent most of the concert fiddling around with all the controls to see if I could get a better connection but it was hopeless. Talk about depressed. I had to turn off the computer and spend the rest of my evening in a dark room listening to your CDs to get rid of the computer mess I had been listening to. PLEASE Joe.....think VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!Have a wonderful tour of Europe and come home safely.

I took my wife to see Joe tonight, she has been hearing me play him daily ever since we met, including an hours worth at our wedding (thanks joe). Tonight was an awesome experience for both of us, now she knows what I have been seeing this whole time in this man. One more Joe disciple was born. Joe put on a show that blew our minds, and he is still getting better! How awesome, he is embracing the internet, and technology, instead of fighting it. At a time when Others are losing fans because of it...... Smart Joe I saw a lot of young kids! You are creating a new generation of Joe fans!!

Thanks Joe, keep playing forever. Scott Joslin ]

I have been a Satriani fan since discovering him in the early 90's, but his tour schedule did not fit my duty schedule (professional firefighter) until this year. I finally got to see Joe at the Moore Theatre last night, my first concert since Sammy Hagar (pre-Van Halen; I'm really dating myself badly with that). All I can say is, "AWESOME!!" The show was far better than I had anticipated. Joe's talent (as well as that of the rest of the band: Jeff, Eric, and Stu) really stood out and I can easily say he is a premier guitarist in the same league as Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent, Ronny Montrose, etc. The acoustics, like any rock concert in a small theatre, was quite loud and in a couple instances (according to the wife; her first rock concert), quite overwhelming. But it was still easy to hear the tunes and nuances that Joe likes to put in his music. Stu Hamm was awesome on bass. He put on a righteous solo in the second set that had the people on their feet and screaming. Joe also plays to his fans and that is evident by the 3-hour set with no opening act. He obviously appreciates his fan base very much. He does not put on the airs that I have seen in other artists and so he plays for and to those people who truly appreciate his music and incredible talent. I am glad I broke my 15-year concert drought to see Joe and definitely intend to see him the next time he comes to Seattle.

I just saw the show last night and it was incredible! I was amazed at how cool songs from the new album sounded live - "Engines of Creation" is really starting to grow on me! My favorites from the album were "Until We Say Goodbye" and "Borg Sex." Joe also did a really cool performance of "Rubina" and "Down, Down, Down." Thanks for a good show and inspiring me to be the best guitar player I can!

This has got to be *the* best Satch show I've seen... such great spirit, an awesome setlist, incredible performance by everyone... absolutely *kick-ass* - more than worth the money for the ticket. And it was an even bigger bonus that we got to meet Joe and the rest of the guys after the show (thanks again for the aftershow passes guys!!). It was great meeting everybody (thanks for the autographs too!!). All this made for an incredible, unforgettable evening!!

Wow, what a show!!!! Three hours with the guys!!! I just got home and had to share what I thought was a killer gig. The crowd was awsome, the sound was great, what more can I say. Way to go Stu on that fantastic solo. I have so much more respect for the bass and especially for Stu!!!! Jeff your drums sounded awsome and Eric, thats a tough gig to back up Joe, but you did it with style!! And finally the man himself, Joe, what a show, I just can't say enough! I'm so glad that you guys got to play for three hours. By the end, which came all too soon, I felt like a real part of it all. Thank you so much for giving us all the best show we'll see for a long time, that is until you come back and play here again! :) Congradulations on one hell of a concert!!!!!!

I also agree with OmarlA on the DVD just start taking orders and I'll be on the list. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLE.................. You get the picture.

Joe, I hate to give you a one man, but I have to say with the crappy web feed I got I couldn't even tell if you were playing at all. Quicktime was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I missed the entire first half of the show because the satch homepage wasn't able to handle everyones request to see it. The when I did connect reception was spotty at best.Frames were way outta sync with the music (it's amzing how you were able to play without even moving). Half the time it sounded like you were playing underwater and the rest of the time I got this weird electronic haze that sounded like it was coming out of a cheap Radio Shack synthesizer. The first webcast was WAAAAAAY better. I hope that if you do another show it will be brodcast in the Windows Media Player format again.I guess Apple just screwed up bigtime.Anyways, just for the record i'm running on a 56k modem and Win '98 and had no problems at all with the first webcast.

Low rank for the webcast. The playing was excellent as always. The media player show was orders of magnitude better than the Quicktime one, even over cable modem. It would be nice if something that supports other OS's was used, like RealVideo, but lose the Quicktime in any case. Still, Thanks, Joe, John, and all the rest. A bad feed of a js concert beats a good metallica mp3 file anyday!

WEB CAST on DSL was excellent, except for a few minutes in the beginning and a few seconds here and there. Congratulations to the Web team and Quick time and all involved, the sound quality was superb and so was the mixing (good work! sound engineers). I was at joe's concert in Toronto as well, so now i know the difference between playing with and without eric. This web cast and show are just great I cannot describe how good it is. It should be made available on DVD, that is my suggestion. Once again a great show. Congratulations to Mike Moss ? the winner of the contest. Joe, I am serious, you should make a DVD from this tour. I already know this is going to be unreal. 6 hours to go. No doubt about it. This band never fails to deliver. And what about Jeff? Gotta be the hardest working guy on stage. Those other guys just move their fingers a little bit, but this guy is wailing all night - does he earn double-time, or what. In-freaking-credible!! Obviously, I have not seen this show . . . yet. BUT, I did see Joe when he was through here with the G3. WOW!! My friend and I actually got there a little late, so we missed some of Kenny Wayne, but Steve Vai and Joe blew us away. (and Kenny came out to jam at the end, so it wasn't a total loss.) I am so pumped about seeing a whole night of just Joe. I would love to talk to someone who is taping the webcast. My computer is so worthless and I won't be home anyway. I know that I will enjoy this one and would love to listen to it again and again, later. Thanks Joe and please keep those great songs coming.

The 1st time we saw Joe was in NYC @ the piers, opening for SRV ! We went to see SRV and saw Joe as warmup. We saw 2 shows in a row. The 1st night when asked how he was we said "he was almost too good", we didn't quite get the full Joe effect to sink in yet. However, the 2nd night ! we did get the whole effect. It just felt perfect. Joe was excellent. We were blowing bubbles up on the stage & Joe was playing and dancing around them. We were in pure ectasy ! Of course we have seen every J oe tour, when it comes to our city (Seattle now, NYC then).....Hope we get to say hello Joe !.......Paul & Rosie
