My 16 year old son (cheese101) and I drove to Reno to see Joe live for the first time and it was SO WORTH IT!! We wish we could travel around the country to see Joe more often, if I ever win the lottery that's one of the things we'll do!! It was such an awesome show and left us wanting more. We hope to see Joe in Vegas in December, and any other time we can get to one of his concerts! We even got to meet Joe about 2 hours before the show, standing around the outside turnstiles to the ampitheater. He happened to walk outside looking for a way to get to the stage and we were in the right place at the right time, along with about 6 other people. He so graciously stopped to take photos with each person, and I can say it was the thrill of a lifetime for my son, and myself, to meet him, shake his hand and mumble something (who can remember what they say at a time like that!) My son is a 3 year guitar player and has been truly inspired by Satch to get better and better. He hopes by shaking Joe's hand some of his guitar magic transferred to him! Joe and all, thanks so much for a fabulous show, hope to see you again and again and that you never stop writing, playing and touring to share your incredible gifts!

It was incredible! I was 19th row in the almost dead center. I drove 511 miles to go to this concert and it was well worth it. He played a few songs off the new album, like Gnaahh, I Like The Rain, and Up In Flames. It was funny the way he introduced Up In Flames. He said " this is a song I wrote when I was thinking about how important it is to preserve our invironment, but of course no one knows what the hell I'm up here playing about becouse there's no lyrics". In one of his songs he broke a string but just kept on playing. I didn't even know he broke a string until he said so. He said that when you break a string in front of an audience it's a test of your personality. Man, He must have a gooood personallity cause he really rocked on that 5-string-improv!

Saw Joe last night at the Reno Hilton Amphitheater, an outside venue. It was incredible. The Platinum Package IS TOTALLY WORTH every penny, and more. My seating couldn't have been better, front row, dead ahead of Mr. Magic Fingers. I stood up the entire concert. The crowd streamed out after Joe, sorry Deep Purple!

Joe played a most generous set with grace, style, incredible energy and connection to the audience, he must have chucked out a dozen picks (darn, I didn't catch one, but somebody showed me theirs, it was way cool). We heard such classics as Always with You, Always with Me, Cool #9, and then lots of great stuff from ITLIS, the title cut, Up in Flames, which Joe told the crowd is a song about saving the environment, but nobody knows it since there aren't lyrics (big laughter). He played and sang I Like the Rain and so many other great cuts. My head is swimming with fabulous music, excellent memories.

At one point in the frenetic show, Joe slaughtered a guitar string, kept right on, then told the audience he used to tell his students the mark of a true professional is to play as if nothing happened, which is what he did. Amazing, perfect, excellent, an awesome show. You can't tell I'm excited....

If you get the chance to buy the Platinum Pass, DO IT, if not, go see Joe anyway, as you know, he's simply unmatched.

Rockin' Show, We missed Thin Lizzy, but got there just in time for Joe, I drug my husband to the show, he likes Joe Satriani. His first concert in 24 yrs, Joe as usual put on an outstanding show, my husband was in awe not to mention very glad he went!! Deep Purple was also awesome, it is hard to believe they are still making music 40 yrs later (apx). I really wish Joe would of come over to the other side of the stage and did some shredding for us. over all the show was Great, Thanks Joe for coming back to RENO we Love you, I'm sorry for the lousey turn out though, I believe it had alot to do with the Burning Man event in Black Rock, alot of this shows following I'm sure was out there.
