Joe played very well. I just wish he could have played longer. Didn't get to hear Summer song, But I still enjoyed the show very much.

Joe added lots of intro's and endings to the songs we all love. I'm not sure just how much of it was articulately planned and how much of it was insperational but I do know it was the perfect amount of each. I've seen Joe 7 times now and this performance was the most expressive of them all. Joe was in great form ! I thought Thin Lizzy sounded great and had a straight forward rockin' stage performance. I read all the previous reviews and you all had me expecting the worst. I really enjoyed them. They played a much shorter set than reviews I've read and I think the extra time went to Joe !!! Deep Purple was the surprise of the evening. I have all their dvd's but let me tell you, if you haven't seen them live, you haven't seen them at all. The whole band was soooooo tight. Steve Morse showed why Fender selected him for their guitar 101 G-Vox program with so many tasty soloing pieces. He is the total package. Yeah there were some difficult moments for him but look at what he was doing !!! I'm sure Joe was on the side of the stage somewhere enjoying the heck out of Steves performance last night. I think haveing Joe play before them really drives Steve to deliver an amazing evening of guitar as well as the songs of Deep Purple. I was so greatful for the gold ticket package that Joe offered. Although a little pricey . Lets just say, we all lined up in the perfect seats they picked out for us right there in the front. The seats were smack dab right in front of Joe. It was also a great way to meet others from this website. No regrets !!! I would do it again and again oh yeah and again. Joe was definately the highlight of the evening but what can I say, I'm extremely partail to Joe and the timeless songs he has written for us to enjoy for a lifetime. Thanx so much Joe...
