The show was outstanding. I don't think I will ever get tired of watching Joe play. Stu and Jeff were rock solid as usual -- great bass solo too. I thought having Eric play rhythm helped round out some of the songs while Joe was soloing (which, of course, was a lot). We were dead center in the back of the hall and it was loud...real loud. The mix was pretty close to perfect and Joe's playing was flawless as usual. His tone was exceptionally fat at this show.

If you have a chance to see Joe on the rest of this tour, make sure you go. You won't regret it.

I wanted redemtion for the poor Wiltern sound so I went to the Sun Theatre. The first few songs Joe was quiet, but he got turned up and it was killer!

WOW! Met Joe, Jeff, & Eric outside afterwards.. had Joe sign my guitar... "Hey Ed! You suck! Take some lessons!"-Joe Satriani. I've been wanting that signed for about 4 yrs. 2nd time meeting Joe and Jeff (Wherehouse on Sunset-in store/House of Blues-L.A.) You guys are cool and really nice to chat & sign autographs after a 2+ hr. show. Thanks for the great memories. Had dinner seats.. got into the pit's front row 'cause our waitress was very cool (and it was for my b-day!) Ended up RIGHT in front of Joe for the encore when everyone FINALLY stood up. It was terrific! What's with everyone sittin' on their butts all night, 'til then???? Saw him both nights at the H.O.B./L.A. in '95... while not my favorite song on record, Big Bad Moon is INCREDIBLE live when everyone is singing along with Joe! & not just the "but I like it!" parts... the whole thing. Gotta stand up and fill the pit when he plays this song! You'll love it!

WHAT A SHOW !!!!!! I do not know why I bought a ticket as I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!!!! Joe , I do not know how you can turn out an AWSOME show like that night after night. You truely are playing from the "heart". I was lucky enough to see your show at the WILTERN & also @ the SUN and I honestly can not say one show was better than the other. I tried to hang out to meet you after the SUN show but could not as I had work and school the next day I was really freezing out there. ANYWAY , I just wanted to let everyone know what an AWSOME show it was and it left me wanting more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! How can I even begin to put in words the feeling that I have still in my heart after just 2 days ago! Thank you Jo, Stu, Eric and Jeff for an awesome experience that you gave to my little 7 and 1/2 year old daughter! The show was incredible! I loved each and every song you played on the set list. "Always With Me, Always With You" brought a tear to my eye and "Summer Song" had my little girl up on her chair screaming to the top of her lungs! Thanks for waving to her Joe! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing "Borg Sex", "Clouds Race Across the Sky" and "Devil's Slide" live, they sounded great! Even an "oldie but goodie", Big Bad Moon was a delight to hear once again! And what an ending....."Surfing With the Alien"! Ahhhh, I was in heaven for a short time. The sound was perfect and the light show was undescribable! This show deserves an 11, not a ten. Our seats were great and the veiw perfect! I enjoyed seeing the interaction between you guys up there....lots of smiles goin' on! This will truly be a show that will be remembered for the rest of my life, as well as my child's! What a priveledge it was to have been present and to have my little girl experience Joe's music for the first time live! Thank you Joe, Stu, Jeff and Eric for the greatest show yet!

Once again an excellent show. This is the third time I have seen the show this tour and I have never been disappointed. The only complaint I have is about the venue - it was terrible for those of us who had the dinner table seating. We couldn't see a thing! We finally ended up standing in the back of the theater and watching from there :-) I only wish I could go to Europe to see some more!

AWESOME! Great performances by all the band members. Joe is a god and he proved that in spades. Stu's solo rocked! Eric needs to rock out more, but his playing was still terrific. Jeff was rock solid as always. Great show and a truly tremendous experience for myself. P.S.-Thanks to the Sun for upgrading my seat! You guys were cool and made the show that much more special.

Just got home from this show. This is the fourth I've seen this tour, and it just keeps getting better! I've noticed a little more variation in these last two shows (San Diego + tonight) than the two I saw last month. Looks like the band is getting more loose and comfortable with the songs. Definitely enjoyed the changes Stu made to his solo (some Beatles + Beethoven, cool!). Joe was on fire and seemed to be having a great time all evening - lots more smiles this time than last month. The only very minor disappointment is that the setlist itself hasn't changed at all since last month. My only wish would be to add Attack, Flavor Crystal 7, and Time Machine... then it would have been a perfect 11! ;-) One thing that was new tonight was incorporating bits of Engines Of Creation into the intro for Summer Song - very cool! I had a fourth row seat and asked beforehand if cameras were allowed. The answer was yes, so I brought in my brand-spankin' new digital camera. Got some great shots, you can see them now at http://www.bikegods.org/mike/satriani/. My only regret is that I didn't bring an extra memory card, but I still managed to get about 27 shots + something extra. Very awesome show...

As always, the show rocked. Stu's solo was the best I've seen in my eight Satch concerts (he worked in Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata -- truly cool!) My only complaint was the venue -- dinner theater seating at the Sun Theatre is horrible (unless you're way up front like some of the others on this list.) And if you buy seats in the middle two tiers, they make you buy an over-priced dinner. The open seating (standing?) at House of Blues and Santa Monica Civic Auditorium (from the Surfing w/ the Alien tour) provided the most intimate (and democratic) venues. Question about Stu -- Joe mentioned during the concert that Stu will be releasing his solo album in July. He also said you could download an MP3 from Stu's site (I think.) Anyone know where to find Stu's website?

Well, What can I say.... The show was AWESOME! way better than the CP tour.Joe was looking very sharp ! He has leather pants, Chrome Shades and he has this shirt that looks like a crystal ball or something. He looks very futuristic I think...hehehe . My wife and I are sitting literally 5 ft infront of the leftside speakers. But right after the intermission we moved right in front ! So after that , it got much better :-).Joe was literally 5 ft away from us! It's cool that they let us bring cameras ! I took alot of pictures ! I got a nice close up of Joe and "The Snake" guitar ! Joe's performance was superb ! He really seems like his having a blast performing last night, right at the end of his last song "Friends" (I think), He did this long "YYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!" I thought that was awesome, he really had a great time !too bad I didn't get a pick , oh well :-). I didn't really like Stu's solo this time, it wasn't bad but I like last years solo better. Jeff was awesome too ! and Eric, Man ! he seems very shy and he's been having problems with his guitar I think , but he did a good job ! but Eric, don't be shy man...you're performing with the best guitar player in the world so try to enjoy it like Joe did :-). I thought the setlist was awesome ! He did those songs that really stands out from each of the album. Good Job Joe ! Always with me,Always with you was really really awesome !I heard lots of version of that song but last night was really something else....it really came from the heart, Joe did it tremendously very emotional. I always wanted to play that song for my wife, she loves that song too...oh well maybe someday :-) "Love Thing" was great too (I love that song !) Crystal Planet is very cool ! The lights and everything ! It's just how the way I Imagine it way before I saw the CP tour. Rasberry Jam Delta-V was way awesome ! Joe was really getting into it and so is the crowd. Standing ovation after that ! It will take me forever to say all the things that I wanna say about the show , but to sum it all up, It's Two thumbs up, way "Up in the sky" UP ! if I have another thumb I will give it another one ! hehehe. Joe thanks for a memorable show ! I don't care what other people say , I think you're the best damn guitar player out there! I've been a fan since I was a little boy in high school and always wanted to learn how to play but doesn't have the "guts" to do it (I don't fucking know why though) but after seeing Vai and You live. you guys both inspire me to follow my dreams. Thanks for giving me the "GUTS" !!!!! see you on the next tour !

After seeing the 4/15 show at the Wiltern, I knew I had to make it to the Anaheim show. I got tickets in the forth row and am just "tickled blue" to get the chance to watch Joe do his thing up close. The Sun is a cool venue for the show. See you all there.
