WOW! I can't hear now, my blown mind needs to be replaced, and I now have the constant urge to wail on the guitar. It rocked.

This was my first Satch concert, and the first time for me to hear Steve and Yngwie. I was lucky to make it because i just happened to be visiting my sister when Joe was in town so i made sure to get to it, because Joe isn't coming within 5 hours of where i am. Anyways the show rocked Yngwie was interesting. I really liked the acoustic song with the Vivaldi in it. Halfway through Steve's set i had about a 30 second case of deja vu. That was real crazy seeing that i've never seen any of these guys in concert and never been to the Fillmore. Sometimes it seemed like Steve's and Yngwie's notes slurred together. Fortunatlly Joe didn't have that problem. Every note seemed clear as day. Joe didn't seem to miss a single note. It was unreal. The jam was unbelievable. Anyways one of the best concerts I've been to.

This show was great, except for Yngwie. Joe and Steve were just as awesome as when I saw them with John Petrucci, but Malmsteen just brought the entire experience down. I'd never seen him before so I was pretty excited about the show, but when I saw him, I just thought he was a big fat upstager with no feel for music. I couldn't really understand any of his phrases - everything was either too loud or too sloppy. Steve and Joe were better than ever, though, and I'm still glad I went to the show.

Killer!, Killer!, Killer! This is the second G3 show I've been to and the fourth time I've seen Joe, and I must say that this show by far had the best energy from both the performers along with the audience (yes Steve... the Audience IS listening!). Looking forward to the live DVD. I will actually consider this my first G4 show - MacAlpine was a treat!

Take care guys on the rest of the tour and God Bless!!

Hi I have to say I was really disapointed when I went to this show I have always been a huge fan of both Joe Satriani and Steve Vai and I have been to every G3 tour show that has been out . And I will always be a huge fan, but this show was very sub par. The Sound was horrible, extremely loud to a point where it was hard to understand some of the playing I was aware that there were alot of sound problems prior to the show. It was just a shame that the show was not prepared properly. Other than that I was thrilled to see Joe and Steve playing together for another round and I hope I will have many more chances to see both Joe and Steve playing together again. I Personally have never really been a huge fan of Yngwie but I have to say it was interesting. Hopefully the rest of the tour will be great I'm just disappointed that there were sound problems at this specific show. But I wanted to personally thank you Joe for the out of this world music and getting together with Steve to put on these G3 tours almost every year. And I really hope there will be many more to come.

Your Fan David

Greetings Joe. Awesome show tonight. Give it an 11 out of 10. This was my third G3 show since it's inception. Last one was also at the Fillmore in Denver back in the summer of 2001 with yourself, Mr Vai, and John Petrucci. My first one was all the way back in the fall of 1996 in Minneapolis at the Northrup Auditorium. I had never heard any of Yngwie's music until tonight. You can really hear a classical influence in all of his songs. Mr Vai was as good as ever. His new material sounds fantastic live. The triple neck guitar was kick ass. He did a great version of "Juice" from Alien Love Secrets. And of course kudos to yourself. Always a pleasure to watch the master at work. I had never seen you do "Midnight" live until tonight. All I can say is WOW. By the way, the red and flame colored Ibanez guitars look and sound really great. Looked like you might have been using different amps instead of your Marshalls to??? I've been hooked on your music since the mid 1980s when I first heard the hard to find Joe Satriani LP and will continue to listen until I'm "pushing up daisies." You're an inspiration to us all. Thanks for all the notes. Hendrix lives on! "are you experienced?"

Hey all. I was at the Denver show and wish that I could help everyone out a lot more but I am horrible with the song names. I do know for sure that Joe played MPHGT, Starry Night, Summer Song, FIABD, and AWYAWM. Once again sorry that I am not very good with the names (I never look at the CD jackets) Yngwie and Steve both had good sets and were very similar to the reviews that we were getting on the site. Yngwie was playing up to the camera a lot and at the end of his set smashed his guitar in half and threw it into the crowd. Steve came out in an awesome black outfit with strategically placed see though panels. (sorry for the fashion report but I am a girl:) the last song of his set he was playing around with the guitar a lot and was blowing on the strings to get them to change notes? looked pretty cool, then he finished the song by playing with his tongue! Awesome stage presense. Joe came out with jeans, tshirt that said rock, and a cool black beanie. Had an astounding set and the hugest smile on his face when the crowd busted out into a JOE...JOE...JOE chant. Three guys played rocking in a free world, yngwie took off on voodoo childe, and steve on another Hendrix song (the wind cried mary i think) Got to meet the guys afterwords. As always very impressed with how open and welcoming joe is to his fans! i remembered someones post on here about not touching yngwie, so i tried not to during a picture :) The show ended up great and i hope that it does end up being put on dvd. we were kind of worried whether there would be a show at all... i guess the soundboard blew up before the concert, so they had to set up another and do another soundcheck, so they didnt even let people in until a little over an hour after the show was supposed to start. So i hope the sound ended up being good enough for dvd standards. Sounded great to me but what do i know... Once again sorry for not knowing the specifics...

juju

*Joe- thank you so much for the show last night and spending so much time with the fans afterwards.not only do we get treated with watching you perform but then you are gracious enough to spend time with everyone with a big smile and hug. thanks for the picture and autograph! i really enjoyed watching you talk to the young girl who brought her guitar... you could tell by her face that she was having the time of her life....

I would have given it a 10 except I think Malmsteen made Hendrix roll over in his grave, the Swede cluttered up your jam session, and his guitar hula-hoop was overdone. While Malmsteen sort of put a dent in the experience, you and Vai were absolutely top notch. I saw the G3 featuring Petrucci, and you and your former pupil were "hotter" this time than with Petrucci - though the trio definitely had better chemistry when it included Petrucci. Next in line....Santana? Morello?

Great show in Denver! The only bad part of the night was that they were having problems with the sound-board and didn't let people in until an hour after the show was supposed to start. But once it started, it was all worth it. Yngwie was fun to watch but he gets boring real quick as he only plays at one speed (insanely fast!) Vai's set was by far the best, not only because it was very different than previous tours, but also because he puts his heart and soul into everything he plays and his band was tremendous! The feedback and other soundscapes he creates are pure genious. Satriani's set was great, and while the set was fairly predictable, he can still take you to another world every time. Flying in a Blue Dream does it for me every time. The jam was great, but what happened to La Grange??

This is my 3rd show and I'm just as amazed as I was the first time! I prefer when you travel without G3 (because you get to play longer) but I enjoyed seeing the 3 greatest guitarists ever on stage together! You were the best of course!!! I have enjoyed your music and style since the 80's and will forever. Seeing awesome shows like this totally inspire me. Thanks for seeing us out by the busses after the show. I finally had the guts to do it. I am the one who got her back signed and vowed to make it permanent. I did that today. I have to go back in 2 weeks to get a couple of lines added. When doing the tattoo, they put gunk on there and are constantly wiping so some of the marker was washing off. I had taken a picture before I went but didn't take it with me. As soon as I get it touched up, I will send a picture of it with the picture I took with the marker. It sounds totally corny, but since you have been my idol for soooo long, it will always mean a lot to me. A lot of people's guitar idols like Rhodes and Hendrix have passed and if asked if they would do what I did if they had the chance, they might say they would. Oops, got sidetracked there... more about the show... You make the meat of the show whenever G3 comes around. The other guys are crazy on stage and put on a fun sort of performance while your is still fun, it's more entertaining in the way that a dramatic movie draws you vs a comedy which gets more of a reaction. The fact that the crowd is mostly still while you play is a compliment, in that we are so drawn to your playing and music that if we even bob our head, we might miss something important. Beautiful show, beautiful music! Denver loves ya!!!! Thanks again for meeting all of us! (this ranking system only goes to 10?!?!)

Awesome Show Joe! Satriani played last and the best, best sound, best performance... all you's from other reviews saying it looked like Joe wasn't into it are insane! (Maybe it was the people on hte SV site who said that...) But I feel he didn't have to come out kickin and jumpin around,(like YM), or in see thru lace underwear and lick his guitar,(like SV), Joe just came out and played his heart and soul... Starry Night was trippin good, Matt is gettin better at Summer Song..., and the whole rest were just awesome! I was dreading the Rockin in a Free World Jam, but it RockeD! What happened to LaGrange, I was lookin forward to that! I have seen 4 G3 shows, I still liked EricJohnson's music/show the best, but this G3 tour was the most fun and coolest show. My friend got the smashed YM guitar and got all 3 to sign it! We will definitly be on the dvd, screamin from the front row! What a night!

Hi Joe, It was a great show last night at the Fillmore. Is gonna a awesome G3 DVD. Thanks again for came back to Denver. Is was great to see you again. I made it again on the front row just infront of you. One thing is funny about Yngwie that he needed to changed his guitar while you and Vai at last note feedback before ending the song, and he finally made it...and you said: you made it!! :o) It was awesome anyway. Oh yeah, What's the model of those 2 new guitars that you played last night? The red one and the other graphic are so nice that I never seen before. It's so beautiful though! Ones again, Thanks for came back to the bus and see us! You're awesome!! Everytime, You're always think about your fans! and you knew we're always there for you! Thanks for taking a picture with me. (the first one without the flash, and you catch that!) :o) You said: I want it to be come out right though!.. Cool!!! Thanks for everythings! I will send couples pictures of the show and you and I to Jon as soon as I get them. Hopefully Jon will post it on the site. I will also put it on my website too. One thing that I forgot to tell you last night is about the website. So, please check out the site if you have a chance. Is called Tribute to Joe Satriani. @ www.foreverjoe.com Thanks again and have a good show Kansas city tonight. Takecare and wish you the best luck of the project of the new album...Sam
