Wow! Joe set the Crest Theatre on fire the other night! I think they're still trying to put it out as I type this. HA! HA! I was absolutely blown away by his playing as usual, I saw his last show in Sacramento at the Sac. Community Theatre back in 1989 (Flying In A Blue Dream Tour) which was also a great show! I read an interview Joe did for the Ibanez website, he talked about a live DVD made in S.F. in 2002, does anyone know when will it be available to purchase? I bet it's a smoker too! I can't wait! I thank Joe for all the fine tunes he produced over the years. He is The Extremist! I hope he comes back to play Sacramento soon. Rock on Joe!............................Guitar-Greg Smith

This has to be one of the best Satriani shows I've seen! Joe and the boys were so loose, smiling and having a good time and it showed in their music. What a venue to catch a Satch show! Jeff and Matt were both solid along with Galen on rythm guitar. I had chills when I left the Crest Theater that night. And the guy that opened for Joe, Evan or someething like that, Mr. "Circus Liquor" is what me and my friends call him. That guy was amazing with his fretless, glass necked guitar. Cool guy, he said I looked like a friend of his when I talked to him after the show. The only bummer of the night was that I didn't get to hang out with Joe and boys backstage after the show. Maybe I could have got some bass tips from Matt. I can't wait for the next Satch show! I'm a Satriani fan for life!

I was truly blown away!!! I took my wife to the show and although she is not really into rock music she was very impressed. The set list was awesome! Joe played all of my favorites and some that I didn't know. My only disappointment was that he didn't play "Big Bad Moon" but that was overshadowed by all of the other songs that he played. The lighting was awesome with some cool effects. They had a strobe light that was used several times sync'ed with the music and made the experience all the more enjoyable. Jeff was in his usual awesome form and his drumming was so clean and powerful and it was very cool to watch. Him and Matt did this Drum/Bass solo where one of them would play and then the other played and then both of them played together. I wish I could see that again! The sound was really good. I saw Joe with my brother down in Concord a few months ago and my brother, who has seen Ted Nugent, Van Halen, etc., said that Joe's set was the loudest he had ever heard. It was the same with this show. You could actually feel the music. At the end of the show Joe did a crowd sing-along with his guitar. Joe would play a riff and then the crowd would mimick it. That was very cool although I didn't have much of a voice left over after cheering during the show. The show was so awesome that I wish I had more money to see him in San Francisco but I will definitely see him when he comes around again to Sacramento.
