...the new cd is slated for a jan 2000 release and maybe a single out in
dec '99...the events in turkey are on my mind right now, if you feel you
can help, the red cross could sure use a donation...don't miss steve
vai's new release sept.7th, his best playing yet!...later

...eric and i finished mixing the album the other day, it sounds great!!!...
thanks to mike fraser for some last minute observations and suggestions...the
next few weeks it will pass through mastering then on to epic records, for
their first listen!...what will they think???...never know with those guys!...
hmmm, cd title, i think i got it, but, time will tell...later, joe...

...now it's time to think of an album title...and arranging the tracks
for cd and cassette...and artwork, credits etc...the new stuff will turn
some heads and ears, can't wait to play for the world...but, it's
6/24/99 and we're just about to start mixing, so, i guess i've got to
tie up the details first...later, joe

...many years ago todd rundgren enclosed a postcard with his record and
promised to include your name in his next record's package if you filled
it out and mailed it back!...i did...and, about a year later, there was
my name, among thousands, in a "computer printout" looking image of todd
on a poster in the record's package!...i was thrilled beyond words, but
that wasn't all, i was also included in the live concert photo on the
back cover that was taken at the roller rink in central
park,n.y.c....even though it only shows the side of my head as i was
messin' around with my friends, danny and dave, i was still blown
away!...and i still am...i would like to do something like that with my
next release...what do you think? let me know your thoughts on this...
i'll be collecting feedback on this idea for the next few
weeks...

"Surfing With The Alien" is remastered and
repackaged and will be released on July 27 1999! No specific date has
been set yet. It will be available in your usual traditional record
stores as well as through online stores such as CDNow, Amazon, Sony
Store, etc. For example, CDNow and Amazon are both already taking
advance orders for the 24K Gold Disc.
