the reason. this really blows! In the next few days I'll be trying

...i'm here in norfolk, va, still waiting for the second day to see if we can do our show tonight. it seems the norva theater didn't pass they're fire inspection, foul play is suspected! all systems are now up and running, and all is as it should be...now it's up to city hall to cut through the red tape and issue the proper permit. the venue has until 5:oo pm today. in all my years on tour this is the first time i've seen this kind of thing. the venue/promoter has been great in honoring tickets, paying gas money, putting out of towners up in hotels, as well as taking care of my band and crew during this strange situation.please stand by for up to date news on this...joe......

Photos from the Warfield show are now online. Click on the "P" on the
road/tour section.
As we reported earlier, Joe is anxious to find other ways to get copies of
the "Additional Creations" bonus CD to all of his fans. If you didn't get your
copy of this, you'll have another chance at live shows: a limited number
will be available free with purchase of certain merch at live shows. Check
at the merch booth once you arrive at your local show to find out details.
The number of aftershow pass winners has been upped-- we're now giving
drawing *two* random winners per show.
And yes, plans are in the works for one (or more) webcasts! Details will
appear as they are finalized.
Also, it's great to see everyone's show reviews-- keep it up!

The aftershow contest is underway and we've already got two winners!
That's right, for each show on the US leg of the tour we'll be drawing
a lucky fan to win a pass where you can meet Joe after the show. All
you need to do to enter is list yourself as attending the show that
you've already got tickets for. More information is listed with that
form. Make sure that you update your profile (via the Preferences menu
option) to show your correct real name since we'll need it to give you
your passes should you win.
The navigation bar now will also tell you when there is new news since
the last time you logged in. This way you can be sure not to miss recent
announcements.

A number of new things in celebration of Joe's first show of the tour!
The tour/road section has been revamped such that you can easily see
when the next show is, read fan reviews, and post your own review of the
show you see.
There also is a new feature to list yourself as attending
(or having attended) a show. In additional to connecting with other fans
in your area, this will eventually turn into the pool of people that
backstage passes will be randomly drawn from at select shows.
The "Talk To Joe" section now lets you look through old archived pages.
The navigation and frames setup for the site has been redone so as to
make all options easily available in one place. See the new options
in the member pulldown toolbar.

Presenting another new feature and
contest: the Design your own
Satch set list! If you click on your preferences, you'll see a
link to edit a set list of up to 32 songs that you'd like to see Joe
perform this tour. The setlist is viewable in the Members section (and
by clicking on people's nicknames in the Talk to Joe or Live Chat).
Eventually we'll plan a random drawing for some signed CDs and tour
posters for people who've filled out a set list, so check it out!

Also, information on where the bonus CDs can be picked up has come in.
You can get it from your local Wherehouse (www.wherehouse.com) or at one
of the stores that's part of the Coalition of Independent Music Stores
(www.cimsmusic.com). You can search for local stores on both websites.
Stock might be limited, so you should plan on getting them before
they're gone!

Hello! We're happy to announce the immediate availability of a new track
from the new album, "Borg Sex", available in MP3. Low quality RealAudio
versions of both tunes have also been added. Click over the
discography section to check it out. Also, the second single for radio
is "Flavor Crystal 7" and you should start hearing it this week. Make sure
to call your local radio station and request they play the new album!
To those asking about tour schedule
information, what is confirmed appears on the web site. The US spring/summer
dates are those listed and Europe dates are being planned. In many cases
tickets have not gone on sale yet, so you should just contact your local
ticket agent to find out when they will become available.
Details on how the bonus CD will be packaged are still being finalized.
We will have final information for you early next week, just before it's
in stores.
In other news, we're gearing up for a giveaway contest for registered
fan members with prizes of autographed CDs and tour posters so keep your
eyes peeled here for more news.
In the press world, pick up the new copy of Guitar World (Smashing Pumpkins
cover, April 2000, page 35) for a review of Engines Of Creation. In the
online world, CDNow will be publishing a review soon also.
