UPDATE FROM JOE
It's hard to believe the new CD is finished, wrapped up and
ready to go, it all went by so quickly...We had nothing but
fun and good times in the studio, and it really comes through
on the recordings... The photos in the CD booklet will give
you a hint of how silly we are when working on "serious"
music!... But, seriously now, the band came through with
brilliant performances, and the crew worked out all the details
to get it all on tape, or, the hard drives, as the case
was...Check out the new SATRIANI.COM for details on everyone
connected with the latest CD...
Cheers to webmaster Jon Luini for the new and very cool website!
He will be adding features weekly to keep us all glued to our
computers... Speaking of computers, I just noticed last night
that my DVD-RAM drive has its left and right audio orientation
reversed! Strange, huh? Apple is sending me a new one...
I'll be bringing a digital camera on tour this time and I
promise to send crazy on the road photos to Jon for posting on
the site, honest!
Speaking of tours...We have our Euro set list together, but
there is still time to influence our North American set starting
in August....Oh, and yes, we will be playing "Crushing
Day"...Joe...

** FIRST SINGLE "STARRY NIGHT" AVAILABLE ONLINE NOW **
We are happy to report that once again we began offering the first
single, Starry Night, online in its entirety before it was released to
radio via Joe's appearance on Rockline June 10th. Click on the
above URL to the SBM discography page to access the full song streams.
Although we first made "Starry Night" available on SATRIANI.COM on June
9th, it is also over at Epic Records' site for Joe as well as in
their "Artist Of The Week" feature which is currently spotlighting Joe.
http://www.epicrecords.com/site/artistoftheweek/joesatriani/
Circuit City is offering a special *download* version of Starry Night
starting on June 23rd from their downloads area. We'll provide a link
from SATRIANI.COM once it is available.
Microsoft's Windows Media web sites will also be promoting a stream of
the single this week at various times.
** "MIND STORM" TO BE AVAILABLE ONLINE JUNE 24TH **
As further appreciation to all of your support, we've also arranged
with Sony/Epic for an exclusive full-song stream of "Mind Storm", one
of the heaviest songs on the album. It'll be available on SATRIANI.COM
starting June 24th!
** LISTENING PARTY W/ APPLE JUNE 25TH - 27TH **
For those of you who want to hear a little more than excerpts
before rushing out and picking up a copy of the album, have no
fear! We've partnered with our good friends over at Apple's
QuickTime group to do a listening party of the album in it's
entirety which will loop for 48 hours. It will start at 10:00AM PST
on June 25th and end at 10:00AM PST on June 27th.
In addition to hearing the entire album, you also will get to hear
exclusive introductions to each song by Joe himself, giving a little
bit of background into each track.
Starting the 25th, look for a prominent link on SATRIANI.COM as well
as different areas of www.apple.com/quicktime/!
** "ORIENTAL MELODY" TO BE AVAILABLE AS DOWNLOAD FROM J&R MUSIC **
J&R Music is also providing an exclusive *download* of Oriental Melody
from their web site. Again, we'll provide a link on SATRIANI.COM once
we have the date it's available and a direct URL!
We ask all of you fans to help out by calling your local radio station
and requesting "Starry Night" on your station. If they are more receptive
to a heavier song, try asking for Mind Storm instead.
CONTESTS, CONTESTS, CONTESTS!

Mexico G3 Dates RE-Postponed
LETTER TO THE FANS
We are very sorry to have to announce that the upcoming G3 concerts in
Mexico City and Monterrey are to be postponed once again.
Due to the uncertainties caused by the terrorist attacks on New York City
and Washington, DC, and the recent threat made to Americans
worldwide, we
feel that it would be unsafe to travel during this time of declared war on
America and its citizens.
While we are very unhappy to have to disappoint our fans in Mexico, we
cannot request that our fellow musicians and crew place themselves in
any
jeopardy, nor can we expect their families to be favorable about them
doing
so.
We do however, promise that we will bring G3 to Mexico very soon, as
soon as
we feel the situation is safe for all parties involved.
We thank you all for your understanding, patience and consideration in
this
time of World unrest.
