Joe uses a standard 3 way pickup selector switch. Neck, bridge or both pickups. The pots are master volume and master tone. The volume is also a push pull switch that when pulled bypasses the .001 capacitor that helps to retain or boost the treble as the volume is being turned down. When turning down the volume the increaced treble helps to clean up the distorion.
